His class is actually kind of fun! I am not going to lie this course is kicking my butt right now! Tim is not one of those professors that just stands in front of the class just lecturing. He has a great sense of humor and his exams aren't that bad so long as you do his quizzes and study. I would recommend him for anyone that wants to learn bio

Mr.C He is a good teacher and he knows when his students have trouble understanding the material. I very much like his class but I get kinda of bored during lectures; who really want to sit for 3hrs listening to anyone.Online quizzes suck though if you have a busy schedule like me, i always forget to do the quizzes and its lowering my grade :(

I enjoy being in Cifelli's class,he is very funny and makes the ton of information easier to deal with. Dont get me wrong his class is very hard, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night trying to repeat everything he said in the lecture,but he is very helpful, he goes out of his way to prepare us for the test.

Prof. Cifelli is awesome, never have I sat in a 4 hour a day class and nobody went to sleep including myself. His test are hard but as long as you study you will be ok,study groups are a big help if you want to pass this class. He teaches in the evening at the U.P. campusso it's worth the drive if need to take this class

Prof is very very good, relatable and passionate about the subject matter. Subject matter is extensive...BE PREPARED...STUDY, if those two things are not priorities, don't take this class! I am a fairly good student and strong in sciences, if this prof wasn't as strong and involved in the subject matter, it would be even more difficult.

I have a background in bio, so a lot of this is review. Great Professor. Super funny. A little off topic sometimes, but always great in applying information to the real world. The content for this course is very challenging and lack of prep or lack of studying will be very apparent right away. Prof. Cifelli is hilarious!. I took his BIO 1406 Hybrid class. I wish i could of taken him in person because his lectures are awesome! He gives ton of HW but the test are directly from the hw. He's also available outside of class if you need help. If needed, he provides extra credit but you shouldn't need it as long as you get your stuff done.

I took his hybrid course and it was probably the best course I've taken at Lone Star. There's A LOT of homework, but all the tests are based on said homework. Literally everything comes from the homework, so just do the homework and study it and you should get an A. He also offers extra credit towards the end of the course.

Tim is honestly one of the best professors I've taken and I've taken quite a few. He genuinely cares if you understand the material and has no issue explaining it in multiple ways. Took the online hybrid bio 1406 with lab at university park. Knowledgeable teacher. Show up for the labs and do the homework. Study for the tests and you can get an A unless your a natural biology guru.

Great professor, just a hard subject. Homework is long and important for grade! Total of 5 test plus the Final and 2 lab tests (easier than other tests). Tests are long but off of the homework! 2 Extra credits provided at end of semester. Hybrid meaning no lecture just labs, lecture is either online or by many youtube videos. Funny & understanding.

He is an amazing teacher. I've taking him for anatomy and biology. He really makes the class fun and easy. Answers any questions you have quickly through email or text. Lets you know EXACTLY what is going to be on every test. So be sure to pay attention and attend class.

Tim is super easy for a hybrid course. No lectures means a Mastering Biology assignment due every Monday. That is not a lot of hw truly. 5 tests, straight from the the Mastering HW. The final is literally questions from your previous 5 tests. The lab practical answers are basically told to you while taking it. This class couldn't be easier people!!

Love his passion for teaching. I wish I had taking his course a a regular course, rather than a Hybrid. Labs aren't difficult. He's insane for giving us so much homework, so brace yourself. I took the hybrid course for biol 1406. Do the homework and you will pass the exams. Go to class and do the labs. Its an easy class and easy grade.

Good professor. Homework questions are the test. A&P 1 in general is not a class to skip out on. Professor keep the class fun and interesting. Does go through some material quickly which was a little frustrating at times.

Professor Cifelli is one of the coolest professors I've ever met. I took his hybrid class. He really loves what he does. Beware, BE ON TIME to class! One minute late and you're out the door for 15 minutes while others finish a quiz. Lots of homework, test come straight from the homework. Takes a while to respond but overall great.

Tim was fantastic. He has a thorough understanding of the material presented and gives really good examples. He grades very fairly and he is very transparent about what is on the quizzes and tests.

If you really are interested in learning the subject matter then this is THE CLASS to take. He takes very complicated material and finds a way to make it relatable and understandable. He make the extra effort to ensure everyone understands the concept. Theres a lot of homework but basically your test study guide. BEST TEACHER ANYWHERE. No lie.

I believe that he is a great teacher. He explains lectures very well and will take the time to answer questions. Though the homework is extremely long, the exams make up for it because it takes questions word-for-word from the homework. Overall, this teacher is very worth taking.

Tim is a great professor! He is very clear on grading, gives extra credit and the tests come straight from the homework. He molds the class to fit real-world scenarios you will find in your health career. He is easy to approach with questions. TAKE HIM! I will have taken him for 3 of my 4 general sciences!

Professor Cifelli is incredibly hilarious and super knowledgeable when it comes to the material. He assigns a lot of homework, but the homework is essentially your study guide for the exam, so there's no question about what you need to know. You will have major grade every class that can not be made up. I would advise you NOT to skip class.

Professor Tim is an amazing instructor. He tells his students stories that help you remember the topic that is being discussed in class.

He is great at what he does (and funny too). The class isn't hard, as long as you do the work. The amount of work is your average college level amount, but it's easy. Tests are straightforward as well. Don't skip anything and you will get an A.

Professor Cifelli is AMAZING! His lectures are very interesting and funny. I wish he could teach all the Sciences courses. He is the BEST Biology, A&P and Microbiology teacher I have ever had. He is very clear on what will be on the test. Its a hard course so study, and you will pass.

I wish I would have known to taken Tim for ALL of my science classes. He makes class entertaining with his rants and stories! There are quizzes almosteveryday but he preps you for them its just up to you to study. The tests are literally questions fr the study guide. Study guide is very long but if you study it should be great on test. TAKE HIM!

He is very specific and precise on what he will be including on exams, no surprises on his exams. He is extremely knowledgeable about microbiology and he makes the class interesting by sharing his own experiences on the subject. His energy and excitement for the material, makes you excited about learning it.

He was an amazing professor. The class is not difficult for a hybrid class. I had some personal matters going on but as long as you provide yourself, you will earn your grade. You'd want to take him and his super funny.

I took his class in summer (6 weeks) fully online due to COVID. I basically ended up teaching the material to myself with only the textbook to rely on as well as videos that I found online. Even though he didn't even took the time or effort to teach the class (so, do his job) his tests were brutal over very specific details and lots of hw! Awful!!!

Professor Cifelli-Volmer is an amazing professor with great lectures that genuinely cares about his students. He is quick to respond to emails and questions. His class is heavily weighted with tests, but the homework and labs help your grade. If you read the textbook and study you will do well on the exams. Definitely recommend him!
