Dr. Clarey is the best science professor at Delta. He's very nice and he does his best in making his students become sucessful in the class. I would recommend him to everyone. If you don't like any science class then take him because you will like it.

Tim has no EGO. He loves to teach and wants all students to do well. If you need extra help he will be there for you. If science is not your strongest subject, Geology will be after you have this wonderful professor.

If you need a lab (science) then you are taking Clarey, probably the coolest teacher I have had in a long time! Tests are easy too! Take him you won't regret it!

Dr. Clarey is the best teacher I have ever had. He is nice, funny, and incredibly smart. He tells you what to study, and wants to help you as much as he can. I miss his class a lot, and wish he taught every subject!! He is WONDERFUL!!!!

Tim was an awesome teacher! He was funny, creative, truly interested in what he was teaching (a rock geek!), and very clear in his notes and testing. I loved his class and got a good grade in it because I was interested in going everyday. Take his class!

Wow what a great class. Tim makes a trip to look at rocks exciting, not many profs can do that. Take this class even if you don't need it.

Dr. Clarey is not just a great teacher, but a wonderful person as well. This class is both fun and educational; fossils, sand dunes and wildflowers what a great combination.

BEST teacher ever! Somehow makes rocks and dinosaurs fun. Great sense of humor, very helpful, and sexy to boot!! :P I would reccommend this class to anyone. Easy grade for 4 credit WITH LAB science course---TAKE HIM!!!

Great and easy teacher. I'm not sure where people are getting that he is hot...but he has a great sense of humor. Only one paper to write and a few tests. If you need a science class with a lab, take him!

Makes geology fun and easy. Study guides are VERY helpful for tests and labs are not too hard. He has a great sense of humor to make the class go by fast. Definitely take him!!!

He's very generous with extra credit, which makes the class easy. There is little to no homework. The tests are sometimes awkwardly worded but he gives lots of clues about what will be on them and the extra credit makes it so you don't need A's on the test if you do well on everything else.

Tim gets into the class, living the dull subject of geology with cheesey humor and fun!

He is one of the professors whose teaching help you in daily as well as academic life, you wont forget him. He is very knowledgeable about his subject and is very helpful..class is easy lot of points involved..field trips,movie clips,slides etc dont be scared of the lab ull do good.

The only "instructor" I have had so far that has a PhD., and ironically the most humble and helpful. Great instructor. Likes his job and people. Always smiling. I loved his class.

Tim is a funny man. Hes a great guy that will do whatever possible to make sure you understand the material. He is by FAR my favorite professor at delta. I mean common...he gave me PISTONS tickets and i went to a game vs the Celtics with him and his wife. He is just an AWESOME guy! if you want to make science easy and understandable...take TIM!

This is a pretty easy class. Mr. Clarey makes it fun. He always has a funny joke or comment for something. He is a great teacher. I would recommend him to anyone!

Tim loves to teach and loves his work. His jokes may be lame, but he knows they are, so that makes them tolerable. Never really had any homework, but you need to study your notes if you want to do well on the exams. The lab tests are not the easiest either, but are better then the exams. I took this class purely to fufill my science requirement.

Tim is a funny man. His jokes won't make you laugh, but you will get a smile. The Rock/Mineral Lab test are not horrible and the final Lab test is easy because you are able to use your notes. Lecture Tests are more difficult, but there is plenty of extra credit to bail you out.

Took him for Environmental Geology in Fall 2006. Tim makes it really fun to be in the class. He does give out extra credit which is helpful if you mess up. He goes over what will be on exam so they are pretty easy. Labs are very easy as long as you try you ace them. He is very easy going and is very helpful if you don't understand stuff.

I took him with my boyfriend for the geology of Mac. Straits. He is a great teacher as I have him now for 111. His jokes are a bit corny but all the same he keeps you interested in the class while get this....you accually learn stuff. Rock test are not bad just study, leacture tests are more difficult make sure to STUDY STUDY STUDY. Clarey ROCKS!

Clarey is a good teacher especially for those who don't like science. The lab book is necessary but the textbook, don't buy! Just take notes during lecture and study them for the tests and you'll be set.

T. Clarey has to be one of the best professors. His class was very informative yet easy to understand. The stuff he teaches pertains to everyday life. I walked away at the end of the semester feeling like I retained more information, rather than just memorizing it for tests and then forgetting it. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING T. CLAREY!

If you have problems and need extra help go to him, he will work it out to help you do well in the class. He truely cares about his students and their education.

Professor Clarey is great. He is very helpful, nice, and extremely funny. I think he actually made geology a fun class to go to! However, tests are not easy, you still have to study for them, but make sure you pay attention to the lectures and study your rocks and minerals. I'd recommend him 100%.

Dr. Clarey is the BEST proffesor I have ever had. He makes class enjoyable by always smiling and telling those fabualous jokes! If you are not interested in rocks/geology, you will be after taking his class. I've enjoyed all 5 classes I've taken with him. Truly a great man!

Clarey may talk for a long period of time but he knows what he is talking about. Seriously I could careless about rocks/minerals but it was a requirement. He has jokes that you will never forget. Take notes and complete labs! Exams are not too bad just be in class!!

All I can say is, good luck finding a better teacher than Tim at Delta. Yeah, his jokes are a bit lame, but he makes the best of it and keeps everyone interested in the subject. Extremely helpful to his students, and truly cares about what he does. The tests are challenging, and it's no blow-off class, but he makes it worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have taken almost all his classes even though I didn't really need them for my degree. His tests are at a reasonable difficulty level and the labs are fun. I recommend you take any of his classes. Tim takes attendance.

Tim Clarey is one of the funniest teachers I know. His class is so worth taking. His tests can he hard, but if you study and show up for class you will pass. He makes class fun, and I often find it hard not to laugh out loud. Take this class for sure. P.S. Don't buy the book, we don't really use it. All you need is the lab book and the CD.

tim is a great guy. very helpful when you asked questions and was very nice. he had a sense of humor and talk about sports every now and than. there is no homework so your grade is all tests. if your a bad test taker dont take this cause that is what your grade is based on. also the book is a waist of money he referd to it twice.

I put Dr. Clarey at the top of the list for the best professors I ever had. He has an awesome personality and can pass for a comedian. He writes all the important stuff on the board, so it's easy to take notes. There was no homework. Just study your notes before the tests, have fun with the extra credit, and you'll get an easy A.
