He was very good at explaining things and made the lectures interesting and fun by having the students do various activities...i would definately take another class by him.

Tim Cole is one of the best professors at DePaul University. He will do anything he can to make sure that you understand the material and get a good grade, he is unbelievably approachable outside of class, and on top of all else.... HE IS SOOOOO GORGEOUS!

Fantastic. Laid back and one of the most fascinating people you'll ever talk to. Lectures are cut and dry and exams are easy if you take notes, which he posts on the website. You learn a lot because he makes the most difficult things simple. PLUS - so HOT

It's an eay class, just take notes and you'll do fine. SOn't slack off to much or the midterm could hurt you. But he's a bit cynical towards relationships!

This is one of the best teachers that I've ever had at DePaul. His classes are so interesting and he makes them so much fun. The workload is extremely light and the assignments are so interesting that you WANT to do them. Reading not bad at all! Pretty easy grader, very helpful, and GORGEOUS!!!

Tim is an awesome teacher. I have taken him for 4 classes at Depaul and have never been disapointed. His classes are interesting and he doesn't take attendence so you can miss whenever you want and he doesn't care nor does it effect ur grade. Take him for an easy A or most definitely a B.... its easy and hes fun to look at.

He made the 3 hour night class go by fast and sometimes didn't even keep us the whole time. He was funny and made things interesting, and the reading really only came in handy when it came time for the midterm. Though when I approached him he seemed uninterested what I had to say, really didn't seem to care. He's a 50/50 I'd say.

Extremely straigt forward. He has a talent for putting things into their simplest terms. I learned a lot in his class. He is also entertaining! Tests were very straight forward, questions are taken directly from his lecture and powerpoints. I reccomend taking his classes!

Keeps the class interesting and is clearly very good with the subject matter. Class talks a lot about relationships which is interesting but might tell you a little more about yourself than you want to know. And yeah he is good looking.

He was cool, accepted opinions, and taught in a way that was interesting. I actually learned something in his class. We discussed relationships for his half, and something always happens that makes me think about the things I learned. It was well worth the time spent. He's not too bad to look at either ;)

One of the best teachers at DePaul. He really knows his stuff and talks about it with a passion. I really enjoyed the lecture. What is more improtant though is the fact that he is very understanding and willing to help you if needed. So do not hesitate to ask him question becaue it is your grade, and he will help you.

I highly recommend taking Tim at least once during your time at DePaul. He didn't lecture much in this class, but when he did, he was thought-provoking and uninitimidating (which is rare at DePaul). For everyone that is dreading to take your capstone, I highly recommend you take it with him.

Great professor! He talks nervously but intelligently, it's funny. I talked to him after class a couple of times about some topics that interested me and he expanded on what he taught and recommended books-- he's really knowledgeable and willing to help out folks interested in the class. I'm thinking about getting his face tattooed on my hip.

I've only had one class of his so far, but already I know how much I like him. He jumped into his lecture on the first day, and I have to say I was extremely interested. He's incredibly thorough in his lectures, and really prompts students to take part. I'm excited for the rest of the quarter.

since this class had about 100 students attendance was not take. but everyone came anyway and stayed for the whole night class because his lectures were so interesting! i would definitely recommend him and i hope to take another one of his classes before i graduate! Prof Cole was awesome

SECT Lucky enough to have Tim for 3 classes during my first term at DePaul. He keeps his classes interesting & is able to relate his teachings to real life experiences. His grading style I'd say is based off of what he expects from that particular student ie on a paper I tried really hard on & prepared for I got 100, when I didn't I got a 97.

Easy class, great teacher. One of the best I've had so far. Knowledgeable with interesting lectures. Really easy class. & honestly, who cares if he doesn't learn your name, you learn a lot and it's almost a guaranteed A or B

Tim is definitely my favorite professor at DePaul! He is extremely knowledgable and clearly loves what he does. He is extremely clear with examples. Every time I have ever emailed him, I have received a response within the hour (usually far less), which is super helpful. I definitely recommend REL318 -- so fascinating and relates to everyday life.

Tim is AMAZING! At first I was worried that he doesn't use powerpoints and only writes his notes on the board before each class, but it ended up being my favorite teaching style. Tim is so passionate about his studies and makes everything insanely clear. The topic of this course specifically blew my mind. The papers are easy reflections.

Professor Cole is a seriously one of the most intelligent professors I've had at DePaul. He is so passionate about evolutionary psychology and it really shows in how he teaches the course. I have learned SO much from him, and this class has actually shifted my perception of how we exist in this world. Makes you really think. Would 110% take again!

Deceptive Communication is one of, if not THE most useful class you can take at DePaul. Professor Cole is certainly an expert when it comes to this topic and knows everything! Tim Cole is the best professor DePaul has to offer. This course focused on mindfulness/meditation and how those work with entrepreneurship. He is basically giving you the true key to life, and I feel like a better person after learning this information. I would recommend not only this class, but this professor to everyone. CMNS312: Evolution & Communication is by far one of the greatest classes I have taken at DePaul. In addition, Tim is one of the best professors I have taken at DePaul and the institution is lucky to have him. This class with very applicable to daily life and is eye opening. TAKE THIS CLASS

Tim is a really chill professor. He's the only professor I've ever had that doesn't do mandatory attendance. As long as you do the readings for class and attend most lectures, you'll be able to pass with an A. Overall nice guy.

One of my favorite teachers at DePaul. His lectures are fascinating and the class has no homework except a couple short papers. I accidentally skipped class on the midterm and approached him afterwards. He let me make it up during his office hours and didn't mark my grade down at all! I will be taking again.

AN ICON!!! took for mindfulness + entrepreneurship class. he is incredibly insightful/ smart/ good research. mindfulness was one of the most interesting topics to learn about that I think truly any college student NEEDS to take for their own sanity. entrepreneurship aspect is interesting & he has many resources/ insight on it. easy grader!!!

Professor Cole is one of the best! Close Relationships was so interesting because it is so applicable to everyday experience. The work is manageable and the discussions and assignments are based on personal experience which makes it easier. Highly recommend him... he was always available to help, which was reassuring.

I took Close Relationships with Professor Cole in the summer and I absolutely loved it.. great guy! It was async, so no attendance required. The work consists of two manageable exams, three papers (reflection, journal, etc) and weekly discussions. Topics are very applicable to real life and the assignments were mostly based on personal experience.

Tim does not give a lot of specific feedback but is obviously very knowledgeable! The lectures are really interesting to listen to and comprehend, and there is not a ton of work! 3 shorter papers, a midterm and final, and a discussion post or two a week. As long as you come to class, and mostly pay attention, you will do well!

This was my first communication class and I felt like I learned so much useful material over the past 10 weeks. The grading criteria is straight forward and the final was completed asynchronously online. The lectures were very interesting and well organized!

You only have to do like 2-3 response papers every 3 weeks or so and then there's a midterm, final, and a final project (and you have the option to do the project with a group); its pretty easy just make sure you read the readings he gives you since those will really help you with the exams. He's pretty chill and I actually learned a lot from him!

Love prof cole. Exactly how classes should be taught. Interesting, concise and organized lectures with notes on the board. Make sure to read the textbook for the finals and midterms. Learned lots of cool things and he lets us discuss with classmates about topics during class. really nice guy, your average chill teacher.

Professor Cole is an extremely straightforward and attentive professor. He does an amazing job lecturing in a way that helps you connect the material to your everyday life. The work throughout his course is not hard. Heavily lecture based, however still extremely engaging. I would recommend him to any student.

This was a summer class and the workload was very manageable considering the 5 week time period. There are a lot of lectures but I thought they were genuinely interesting and he does a good job of explaining concepts and giving examples. Some lectures are a bit longer at around 35 minutes, but most are 10-20.

he tried his best to make an 8am class bearable and that's good enough for me. he clearly knows his stuff, the tests are straightforward and he answers emails super fast. I'd take his class again!

Tim is a great guy and he is very knowledgable. The way he talks and emotes makes every lecture fun and interesting. This class is very easy but very interesting. Tim is really chill and understanding, I would love to take another class with him. I learned a lot in this course about Close Relationships and I plan to apply all my new knowledge to my relationships moving forward. Took his 8am, he was great! His lectures were interesting and engaging and let everyone participate and give their thoughts. There were discussion boards after every class, but they were easy to complete. 2 short papers and 2 big, all very manageable if you read the textbook and pay attention.
