delworth is one of the best instructors I've had here at Purdue. Other than trying to figure out SAGE's online homework notation, the class wasn't too bad.

Incredibly clear delivery method. Sticks to the facts and tells you EXACTLY how to complete a problem from start to finish. More than willing to meet with students and reteach techniques again and again. Incredibly patient. By far THE BEST math professor at Purdue University!!! If only they'd let him teach every math course.

Professor Delworth is hilarious. Also, he has lessons on blackboard so you can watch how he does it, and pause lessons so you really understand them. He helps you in his office. He moves very quickly sometimes but he has a lot to cover. This does not hurt your learning. You can work with people around you on quizzes so u should get 10's every time

My exams grades went up a whole letter grade because he took the time to help me and answer every question. Also, GO TO CLASS THE DAY BEFORE BREAKS, there's always a quiz.

Hilarious teacher and learned more from the lectures than the textbook, which I never opened. He reviews the homework in the beginning of each class so it's very easy to get over 100% on homeworks.

Tim Delworth was one of my favorite professors that I've ever had in school. He is very entertaining, funny, and is also very smart. He is super helpful and makes it easy to succeed in his class. He made it so the textbook is free, and the homework takes less than an hour. The study guides are literally the test. So easy, I literally got an A+.

He is funny, but seems to say the same jokes every class. I learned a lot, and I learned how great office hours are. He's always available to help and truly cares about the success of his students. Go to every lecture because sometimes at the end he gives quizzes, but you'll never know which days they are. Make sure you go to review sessions.

Amazing teacher I had him for 7:30 am classes MWF and he made it worth it. You won't want to miss his lectures because he is so interactive with the class and knows how to joke around enough while still explaining the material very well. If you do need help in the class he is always in his after hours which he encourages everyday. You can get an A.

For MA 158 not going to lie having a 7:30 class kinda sucks, but it is absolutely worth it for this guy. He has office hours everyday I would highly recommend going to them if you don't understand something. Oh and Monday mornings would be a little more bearable sometimes when he would occasionally bring his dogs into class.

I only had Professor Delworth for two weeks at the beginning of the semester while the regular professor was away. For the first time in my life I actually looked forward to my math classes. He engages the students and jokes around but still gets the lesson taught. He's amazing with office hours, as well. My advice? Go to them if you're in trouble.

There are pop quizzes normally on Fridays that are super easy and you can work with neighbors. Talks super fast and goes through examples quickly. Likes to crack the same joke over and over again and occasionally brings his dog to class. Fun professor and knows what he is talking about.

An excellent professor. I had him in my first semester of college. He's a good first professor for new students. He has a great sense of humor, genuinely cares about the well being of his students, and wants to see everyone do well. The work load for me was fairly light. It's very manageable and he offers plenty of help to those who need it.

A little bit condescending, but a great instructor otherwise. He reuses the same jokes pretty frequently, which can get tiring, but is a generally funny guy. He is very available outside of class. Usually he uploads his lectures to Boilercast, but I wouldn't make a habit out of missing class, because there are quite a few in-class quizzes.

Highly recommend! Funny guy, explains thoroughly and is very accessible outside of class. Homework assigned after every class, 3 midterms + final exam. Lecture is not mandatory but you will miss a whole lesson if you skip and be confused on homework. Best MA158 teacher!

Tim is basically math Bill Murray. Really funny and energetic dude. The class is pretty straight to the point and simple. Its math that you will actually use in your life and is a good class to take if youre just looking to fill a math requirement.

I had this class Mon Wed Fri at 7:30a.m., which was not my favorite class time, but having him as an instructor made it easier to go to class. He is hilarious, which makes class better. He has quizzes every Friday, but they are simple. Sometimes, hell run out of time he and save them for Monday, but it depends. He explains the content really well.

Mr. Delworth is absolutely fantastic. Very kind and willing to help you out if you put in the effort in class. The math itself isn't difficult, just applying concepts that most people already know. I've been bad at math my entire life and I got an A pretty easily. You definitely need to study but it's not something you should stress over.

The course itself is pretty digestible, not comparable to what you may hear about "Purdue math" at all. Lots of real world applications about taxes, savings, investments, etc.. 10/10 recommend.

Exams are easy because he give you the answers to previous exams and just changes the numbers for the new one. Attendance was mandatory, but that's understandable. Good professor :)

Delworth sets you up for success in his MA 155 class. The exams are the practice exams, but changed with different numbers. He cracks in good jokes in lectures to keep the class alive which I appreciate, and it's a fair class. I don't know how you could possibly go wrong in this class. Would recommend his class to anyone who dislikes math.

Delworth is the best. He makes calc super simple, especially for someone who is bad at math. Attendance isn't required but highly recommended. Usually a quiz a week. This was my most enjoyable class this semester. Attendance is mandatory for the 1 lecture & 2 recitations a week, and you only get 3 drops. He can get a little preachy at times, but the class is easy. The exams are the review packets with different numbers. This class is impossible to not get an A+ in if you put in effort and show up to class.

I took MA 158 online and watched Delworths recorded lectures. He is great. Highly recommend taking him for MA 158 or online and watch his lectures.

If you have the chance to take 16010 with Delworth, TAKE IT. The 7:30 AM lecture is brutal but he makes it tolerable. His classes are engaging and he is really funny, and is more than willing to help you out. He tells you exactly what you need to know. I got a D first semester calc with a different prof. Delworth just makes it all make sense. Totally recommend. 7:30am is a hard class to get too but if it means you get a good grade and have a good prof it is worth it.

Having Delworth as a professor is probably one of the main reasons I was actually able to pass math. This class is super test heavy, with 80% of your grade being based off of exams, but you can drop the lowest midterm. He is always available outside of class and is super funny in class which made the 7:30 am worth it. He always posts test reviews.

I've always struggled with math throughout high school, but his explanations and willingness to answer ANY student questions was amazing, no matter how basic. He makes the 7:30am class time worth it. Tim is very funny, which also helps with the early class time and hard content. Do yourself a favor and take his section, you will not regret it.

I was skeptical of the reviews, but Delworth really does make the 7:30 am class worth it! Never once regretted my choice to take this section. There is a random quiz once a week, so attendance is semi required. He explains things well and doesn't overcomplicate them, and he's pretty funny.

I have always struggled in math and have always disliked the subject due to how much I struggled. Delworth is the first instructor to actually help me understand the subject, and made me want to come to Calc 1 every morning. I recommend him highly, and if you can handle a 7:30 am, Delworth will be the best professor for you.

Delworth was a 10/10! as a non math-savvy person, MA155 was great and actually enjoyable. the assignments each week were easy to keep up with, simple, and applicable. the course was very straightforward and extremely easy to follow and pass with flying colors . delworth is a great guy, and his jokes and uplifting personality made my day every time!

Delworth was a great prof. Weekly homeworks aren't bad and the review guide before the exam is identical to the actual exam, just with different numbers. Attendance matters! You get three free absences and then 1% of your grade for every class that you miss after that, so don't miss. Lectures are fun and engaging so there's no point in skipping.

I love this man so much. His class is so easy, and I felt like I was actually learning useful information. My TA wasn't the greatest, but I was always able to get all of the homework done in class. Honestly the best math class I've taken, and definitely the easiest way to get my last math credit out of the way.
