Interesting, good class

Great teacher. Knows a lot about history and gives good lectures. The class is pretty easy if you show up. He gives you opportunities to raise failing test scores.

Very easy A. Listen & take notes on lecture( the lecture is the test) I made an A on every test & didn't open the book once. Only 4 tests all multiple choice.

A Great instructor!!! Do not miss class ever as it all comes from the notes. No, he does not teach the test, but he tells a great story about history and will make the book come alive. I took him for Us History II and World History II. He is really nice and super funny. You dont really need the book for the class but never miss class cause the test is pretty much the notes. He keeps it exciting and he is really cute so not bad to look at.. Gives extra credit if you dont pass so easy to make up. YOU WONT FAIL.

His lectures are like narratives. He makes the subject comes alive. You do not need the textbook but need to take good notes. There is no surprise on the test. Everything is directly from the notes and the tests are all multiple choice. He is personable, funny, and cute.

Mr Dineen is amazing. He has a way to explain history to make it very easy and interesting. Even if you hate history you will love this class. He is pretty straight forward, what you see in class is what you will have on the test. He is not trying to trick anybody on his test. Not only I got an A very easily, but I really learn from this guy.

He lectures but he follows the time line of History. The test follow your notes so if you study your golden. He's a good person at heart, if you need help with anything hes there for you.

I will surely take another one of his classes. Lectures are long but easy to follow, He keeps you engaged at all times. He keeps the class entertaining and it is very clear that he has a passion for history. Virtually no homework, only five assignments in the semester. He is one of those professors that will make you see things differently.

Mildly strict, but teaches the material in an entertaining way. No phones. He hates them. But he makes the information needed come across as a narrative and makes it clear to understand. Funny guy and would definitely take again if my schedule permitted.

Professor Tim is a great teacher. He knows his job well. He is very interesting and makes learning easier. He has a great personality. He loves his student and want them to do well to. Professor Dineen brings history to life in his lectures. Easy A. All the test questions are from his lectures and the key terms list. I recommend recording the lectures. He does a question and answer before tests. He has an outline for every class. If you want to take good notes print the outline and leave a lot of space between topics.

Mr. Dineen is the best instructor I have had in college. The tests are based on the lectures, while the homework is based on the textbook. Bring a voice recorder!!! If you miss a class, you miss test material. When I needed help, he was very quick to respond and work with me. He jokes around and makes students comfortable.

Mr. Dineen is one of my top two favorite teachers at Gwinnett Tech. I am currently in his World History II. He brings history to life. He also gives "subtle" hints on test material ("This battle is REALLY important".) Bring a voice recorder, it helps. Every test is based on the lectures. He is very nice and willing to help students.

I have taken Mr. Dineen's class twice my college career. I wish he could be my professor for every class. He has made history a very interesting topic for me. He bases all of his tests off his lecture so you must be a great note taker/listener. He is the coolest guy, very funny, and he cares a lot about his students. He is awesome!!!

Mr. Dineen is an excellent teacher. He is exceptionally good with his students, because he cares if the students learn the material. Also, he is very supportive. If you have a problem he will help you and keep you motivated to do your best. If you take good notes and study you will be a good grade. He is an awesome teacher.

An awesome teacher! Cares about the class and what he's teaching. Didn't like cell phones in class, (will call you out and kicked a student out one time). Lectures are interesting and fun, and every once in a while he'll just play a movie for the class. Test are easy as long as you take good notes. Would highly recommend his class.

Great teacher. He lets you know what is due ahead of time and strongly encourages that you get your hw/test done out of the way early. Don't use your phone in class or he will call you out. He tells history like a story a story rather than a lecture. I've always hated history until I took his class. Definitely would take again :)

Professor Dineen was my first college professor, and really nice step into the college world. He was respectful to his students, was an excellent lecturer, and didn't waste time- he'd just jump in to the lesson. I have never been as excited about history- I'd go home and tell my family about it. Wonderful professor.

I took the online class and I can definitely recommend Mr Dineen. He is very knowledgeable and organized. Very particular about the weekly discussions' content. Course has 11 chapters, 11 multiple choice quizzes , 11 discussions. Mid-term and Final exam are online and open-book. To be successful you need to get ready to do a lot of reading!

I am a dual enrollment student and have taken his classes the past 3 years. He is very knowledgeable on everything he talks and he does his best to make sure everyone understands the topics. He will call role every class so he can learn your name/face and get to know you better. If he offered more classes I'd use them for electives but he doesn't.

Great prof. Participate. If you don't pay attention in class you won't pass the test.

I took two of his classes was back in 2011 and even to this day I still remember the impact he had on me. Hes an amazing story teller which makes learning so much fun. You do need to be in class in order to pass tests- but hands down the best prof Ive ever had.

Mr. Dineen is a smart and extremely knowledgeable on World History. BE sure to read your textbook thoroughly and write notes after each chapter and in class if you want to pass. Mr. Dineen makes the lecture interesting, funny, and easy to understand.

I took this class online. The instructor was firm but fair. He sent out lots of emails that had all the dates of the assignments and quizzes. The class used MindTap, which was a little confusing at first, but easy once you got used to it. Good class.

Took his hybrid class, mainly online, with one day in campus. Mr. Dineens great both on campus and online. Plus he's easy to reach and caring.

This class was easy and really fast-paced I took the summer course. As long as you read your textbook and do your work it's an easy A. He is awesome and really helpful and gives good feedback!

I am a dual enrollment student at GOC and the US History 1 course I took was one of the best I've had. You need the textbook to get all your primary work done and you will have to do discussion posts on some units. My class was fast paced so it was complete by the middle of the fall semester which I thank God for! It was very easy!

i listened to all of the reviews and took him. really nice and easy teacher! he makes sure you understand the material. i never read all of the textbook too much, i personally didn't really need to. i took him for history 1102 as well and passed with an A:). very nice guy, wish he taught more classes.

Had this class for Fall 2021 and it was pretty easy. Textbook is required. Discussion and quiz due every week at 5 PM so make sure you don't forget because you will get a zero. The final exam was hard because it wasn't based off what we learned. If you're failing the class and fail the exam you will not pass.

Took him for a Dual Enrollment class a year ago online, and still remember him to this day. Great guy! Just do the work and you'll be fine

I have taken online courses with Tim Dineen through Gwinnett Tech and the entire experience has been smooth and successful! Mr.Dineen clearly lays out all the expectations and the workload. The textbook that comes along with the course and is mandatory to be able to complete most classwork. Overall, the course was my favorite out of all my classes!

Easiest class I have ever taken. Took it as a mini ester and still finished a month in advance. Textbook is required but only necessary for the access code as there is an online one. No lectures, mainly just basic quizzes and a few simple discussion posts.

I took US History with Gwinnett Tech as a dual enrollment student, and I had professor Dineen, and he is amazing! He lays out his expectations so you know exactly what to do. There is a discussion post with each chapter, and if you answer the question and cite from the textbook the discussion posts are very doable.

Tim Dineen is a nice guy, and a good grader if you put in work for the essays you write. There were two tests and an essay per week for the 2 month mini-mester. Tests were difficult, but not too bad. Beware of his late work policies. However, the final for this class had NOTHING to do with anything, it was insane. It was basically an English final.

Professor Dineen was a great professor. All test were lecture based so show up to class, but not mandatory. He doesn`t read from the book he makes it interesting as possible. He always gives you updates on what is due week of if not earlier. Highly recommend him!

Would recomend his class! His tests were easy, just show up to class and take notes.(class is not mandetory). His classes were him storytelling and you take notes, he did a good job at trying to make the class intersting. Let's you know ahead of time due dates and makes sure to remind you as the dates get closer.

Easy class! You can use the textbook while completing the chapter quizzes. Attendance is not mandatory, but the class I took was online and asynchronous. He does NOT take late work, so complete assignments on time and you'll be fine. I wouldn't recommend taking the Mini Semester class because you'll have to read 3 chapters a week.

The final is nothing like the things you read throughout the textbook, it is more like an English exam but it is easy if you know how to analyze documents. As for assignments, he is VERY strict on the deadline and it will be a 0 if not submitted on time. Also, the assignments were pretty easy, it was 2-3 quizzes with a discussion post.

Go to the lectures, tests are based on them. I loved this instructor and I would def take him again but would actually go to class. It's better attending the lectures while it's not required to instead of having to cram in every part of the chapter. Tests are quite easy if you attend the class.
