Unbelievable professor. HIghly recommended.
Good but tough teacher. Must take notes, straight lecture.
Great Teacher!
I found the class to be a lot of fun actually. The entire class participated and that helped to create a more satisfying experience. There was only one grade, the final, which was unsettling (He reserves the right to give quizzes). I studied a great deal for his final. Articles instead of case studies were used to explain elements of the law.
Wood is an excellent professor. He is a magistrate in "divorce court" (domestic affairs)and he knows his stuff. Very laid back class and he is very engaging. He curves the grades at the end of the semester. THe class consists of two mid-terms, a final, and one 10 page paper. By far the best MGT 201 teacher.
Great professor. Very willing to help out of class. Even answered law-based questions for me 2 years after finishing his class.
Take the class simply for the killer brownies...they are worth it in their own. These brownies are simply delicious. Once you take one bite you will want to take numerous more.
The best teacher in the SBA i have had so far.... he is amazing!
Great Prof! He makes class interesting, he's laid back and he delivers the material very clearly. He's willing to help outside the classroom too if needed. By far one of the best teachers I've had here at UD.
He really takes time to make class personable--his opening stories about his family and his life really set the mood of the class! its great! while the tests are kind of hard (keep in mind it IS law) he will do everything he can to help and if you study you should do fine. Definately a good prof and class..even with a paper
Not a bad class... he makes it fun and interesting... tests aren't easy but aren't hard, but you have to study.
Tim Wood is a great teacher! While the book can be confusing, he makes everything make sense by relating it to real life situations. He's had a lot of legal experience, which helps. He's very helpful and relates to students well. Tests are not bad if you study well. Best teacher I've had at UD!
Class isnt too bad, and his tests are cake.
He's a really good teacher and he tries to make class interesting. He tells good stories about his family and he usually lets class out early. Tests are based on class notes so as long as you go to class and pay attention it should be an easy B and not to hard to get an A.
Basically the man. Not too hard of a class if you take good notes and go to class. Very engaging and makes the subject as interesting as it can get.
Awesome guy. Get him to talk about his family and he will talk for 20 minutes. Lets out early all the time and explains things in depth if you don't understand. Answers all questions and is a fair grader. Tests are somewhat difficult, but as long as you explain your anwers you'll be fine. go to class
He really wants you to do well. I highly recommend him. Attendance is not mandatory but often counts for a large sum of extra credit points.
very good teacher. very interesting. funny! def. take tim wood! he is awesome!
He is awesome, he gives you food on patent day. He doesnt take attendance in his larger classes, i dont know about his smaller ones. Hes pretty young and funny.
T-Wood is the man. He's funny and presents the material in a way that its easy to understand. Definitely take him if you have the chance!
Woods is awesome! He doesn't take attendance but you miss a lot if you don't go (academic stuff and his hilarious stories). Tests are multiple choice and short essay... if you read the book you are fine. He actually made business law really fun! Take him!
If you are not a liberal, DO NOT take his class. Although he has an affiliation with law, Tim Wood oozes his subjectivity into nearly every subject taught. Kind of the antipode of what a lawyer should be. Do not take his class unless you want to be innundated with trite stories about his children.
T-Wood is one of the best teachers i have ever had. If your class is involved with discussion he opens up and has hilarious stories. He is extremely clear and presents the material with real world examples. to quote the man himself "I feel like you all (addressing the class) are like family". Simply Put, the Man is SWEET and smart as, Take HIM hell
An amazing teacher. Very smart but puts all the law words into everyday terms so its extremely easy to understand. Loves that people show up to his class (but who wouldnt!) Gives updates about how his kids and family are doing. A quick read over the chapters and notes before a test will guarantee a good grade. Take this class!
Tim Wood is the man! Show up to class, take the notes, read the chapters, and you will do fine. He loves to tell stories and relates material to personal experiences. take him!
Wood is the teacher you want for MGT201. He makes you want to go to class. This is by far my fovorite class I have taken at UD. Just take notes during his lecture and study them before the tests and you will do great.
THE BEST PROFESSOR AT DAYTON!!!!! If you have to take MGT 201 there is no other teacher to take other than Professor Wood. He makes the class interesting even though it is boring material, he works with students if they need it, and he is an extremely likeable guy. Wonderful professor.
One of the best teachers at UD! Made a boring subject very interesting with stories about his kids, different experiences he has had as a lawyer, and his college days back when he went to UD. Tests weren't too bad if you went to most classes and paid attention. He also sends you all the powerpoints in case you miss a class. I highly recommend Wood
entertaining teacher who does his best to get the students involved in the course. The material is boring/difficult, I felt that the class could have been improved with more tests and opportunities for points, as well as study guides. Still good prof
wood is really a great teacher.. he keeps the class room entertained and even gives out killer brownies... take him or your missing out
Cool teacher but tests are hard and you dont have a chance to bring your grade up if you mess one up. his "extra credit" does not hold any weight and he leads you to believe it does. fun class but its difficult if you arent in love with business law
Great professor, class could get boring at times as he tells lots of stories, which can be entertaining at times. Tests not too hard if you study, extra credit holds no weight. Take Wood for B-Law.
Great professor. Offers a ton of extra credit. He is a hard grader on papers. Midterm and final was not difficult at all. Take him if possible!
Wood was an awesome professor. Always gave extra credit. Tests weren't too bad, but you had to look at the textbook to get an A. It's a lecture based class, and I had to take notes on the powerpoints he sent out for each chapter. Definitely reccommend Wood. Made the class interesting!
Truthfully, I have never met someone so egotistical. Rambles on about his personal life and rarely stays on task. The textbook is useless essentially and he plays favorites. If you play football, this is the perfect class for you. Exams didn't even correlate to class lecture. You'll be wasting your money if you take this course. Take Lau.
Simply put, T-wood is the best professor I've had at UD. He gives interesting lectures, has a great sense of humor and genuinely could not be a nicer guy. Very easy to talk to both inside and outside of class. Take him or forever wallow in your ignorance.
Tim Wood is a great guy and class is fun to attend. He makes lectures interesting and will make you laugh. However, the tests are impossible and he does NOT respond to emails. He is useless outside of class. I did poorly on every test and on the paper and still got a B in the class... sketchy.
His business law class was a lot of fun and actually taught me a lot. He makes things relatable and he hands out extra credit like candy just for showing up a lot. Definitely recommend him. Also I gave you the hot pepper you wanted Twood.
Great guy. One of my favorite professors at UD. Lectures are really interesting and he gives real world examples to help understand concepts better. Goes off topic and is really funny. Never bored in his class. Put in a little effort and you will get a good grade. Just study the power points for tests and you will be fine
T-Wood is a BOSS. This guy comes to class every day with a smile on his face, ready to make class fun. He teaches basic concepts of law very well and always gives great real world examples. If your lucky he will bring in his wife's killer brownies as a treat one day. Great prof, great guy. Most people think his extra credit doesn't count. It does..
The man is unreal. Best professor in the world. Class is easier than than getting a marketing degree ( and that's easy). Test question are right from the notes and he makes class much more interesting than the material actual is. If you don't take Tim Wood than you are clearly doing school at UD all wrong
The absolute best professor I've had at UD. Wish he taught more classes. Hilarious, wants you to succeed and understand material, gives extra credit just for showing up, tests are straight out of lecture, great examples, really loves his students. Even if you're not interested in the subject it's a class worth taking. Pay attentionpass.
Haven't even taken this class yet and I already know it's gonna be great.
Seems like a cool guy, but thought his tests were difficult. His lectures were interesting and I didn't mind going to class.
He's a cool guy, but I wasn't a big fan of the class. His tests can be tricky and he grades very hard on the paper. He tries to engage the class which is good, but the subject matter can still be very boring at times.
Great Proffesor. He gives out a lot of extra credit just for showing up. Tests are tricky but also curbed. Watch out for the paper. I wrote six full pages and got an 83.
He was a great professor who made class interesting and made me actually want to show up. He gives great real life examples and is hilarious. Tests are kind of tough, but if you put in the work you will do well.
Tim Wood is the best professor I have had at UD. He is the man. His lectures make the class interesting, he gives extra credit just if you show up, and he is hilarious. I would take him again if I could. If you take notes during the lectures and read you will do well on the tests.
Tim Wood is my favorite professor at the University of Dayton. He does an excellent job helping you understand the topics and themes of his class. Lectures are interesting and helpful. You don't have to show up to class either.
One of the coolest professors I've had. Absolutely hilarious guy, which often distracts from the lecture. Class is not at all mandatory and there is no homework or quizzes, but you are essentially given extra credit everyday you go to class. Tests are pretty challenging.
TWood is my favorite teacher I've ever had at UD. Although attendance isnt required, but mostly every class students who attend get extra credit. The tests are definitely harder material but I reccommend reading and paying attention. He is hilarious and a UD alum, so he always has jokes to crack and interesting things to talk about.
This man is by far my favorite professor at UD so far, and I didn't even do that well in the class. Makes class so entertaining. He has two kids that go here so he knows how to make everyone laugh and tell all of his hilarious stories. If you go to class, you'll get extra credit in almost every single one just for showing up. T. Wood is THE MAN!
TWOOD! He should go down in history as the single greatest professor at UD. You have to take this class if you have the chance. Extra Credit almost every class just for showing up.
Mr. Wood is the man!! Absolutely loved his class. Attendance isn't mandatory but I didn't even want to skip his class because it's that good. Test are difficult but if you study and take notes, you should be fine.
Class isn't mandatory but he gives out alot of extra credit so show up. Definitely the most interesting professor ive had
Professor Wood is by far the best professor I've had at UD. He is hilarious and really does a good job making the class interesting. Law is not the most exciting topic but he tells good stories and makes it easy to understand. The tests have a lot of information on them so they can be tough but all the questions are from lectures. Lots of EC too!
By far one of the best professors that I have had so far at UD. Just for showing up to class he will hand out extra credit. He gets everyone involved in the lectures and knows a lot about the law. Very funny as well. 100% would take him.
Great professor. Funny, engaging, really just makes the material interesting. His tests must be studied for, but if you pay attention, take notes, and study a little bit, this class is an easy B+ to an A.
T. Wood is the best teacher I've taken. I was in his MW 6:35pm class (which aren't easy to go to) and it was my favorite class here. Every class is not mandatory but each one you go to is extra credit if you participate. He also tells you everything you need for the test. I recomend goin to class too cuz he is hilarious!
T Wood is INSANE !! Class was hilarious and he does a good job of making the material relatable. Tests are VERY challenging if you don't take good notes, but I got extra credit every day of class just for showing up. 10000% would recommend taking!!
TWood is the man!! He keeps class funny, short but lecture heavy. He will talk throughout the class time, but often engages with student participation. He will write his tests solely off in class lectures and does not go off the provided textbook. He will offer EC as if it was unlimited points, however, he never actually applies any sort of EC pts.
Professor Wood is a really nice guy but the only points in the class come from four tests. He gives extra credit almost every class but they aren't actually applied at the end of the semester so they are basically pointless. Tests aren't easy but if you study enough they aren't overwhelming. Overall, not bad but not great either.
T Wood is a great professor who explains concepts of BizLaw in ways that are easy to grasp. Only 4 tests, but its based on a point system, so he adds all the extra credit given during the year to the points you've earned, out of the total points offered. Class not mandatory but it was one of my favorite classes I went to, & you get rewarded for it.
His class sucks. We spend more time listening to his stories than actually learning. He goes over the material insanely quick and expects people to keep up. To be perfectly honest, it seems like he expected us to get the notes from a previous class, rather than taking them during our own class. He is super chill, but doesnt teach well
T Wood is the man. If you can take his class take it! For MGT 201 try to look for the golden notes. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he randomly gives out extra credit. If you show up you'll get a ton of extra credit. He is one of the rare teachers who actually connects and has real conversations with his students.
He's a cool guy, teaching methods arent the best and no isidore page which blows. He offers extra credit for attending class, but it only bumps your overall grade slightly. If you want to be successful in his class you're better off READING THE BOOK, looking over the"perfect notes," and not attending lectures. I would've gotten an A had I read.
everyone hypes this dude up but seriously such a hard class and such a waste of time. you go to class every week and he just talks about everything NOT related to the course. super nice guy but spends the whole class making jokes and then gives impossible tests. even if you have golden notes you will struggle. good guy but not a good teacher at all
Great teacher. He is very intriguing and easy going. Only thing to do in class is the 4 tests and no homework. He usually gives extra credit if you go to class, so go. Definitely take him for management.
This class is a literal joke. He gives extra credit everday for just showing up. Half of the class is T. Wood just talking with students. Try to find the "golden notes" and you wont even have to take any notes at all really. This class should be easy an A
Professor Wood was an amazing prof. He would give extra credit for just showign up to class. He was super funny and just a great prof! I would recommend taking his class for sure!
By far the best professor here at UD. Great guy to talk to and an even better teacher, he makes the class a lot of fun. Has great stories and is very personable, everyone would agree that he is amazing. Highly recommend taking his class!
He goes off track a lot in class. One moment were talking about the 5th amendment next moment were taking about strippers like what?
Tests are problematic, I was in the top 80% of test scores every test and still will not receive an A without extra credit, Great professor I actually learned real world knowledge in this course. Highly personable and you will not be shamed for being confused. He actually cares about your understanding of the subject. Graded by a few things.
really nice guy, MWF class and let us out probably 15 min. early on average. Attendance not mandatory but gives out bonus like once a week. Cancels class every couple weeks too. Will have to study for tests but not hard stuff. Prolly 30 min./wk of work outside class
Dr Wood is one of the laid back professors. Always offered extra credit at least once/week. Exams consisted of multiple choice. Always attend his lectures. The slides give an overview of the topic but the lectures are very in depth. Would end class about 5-10 mins early. He gives scenarios for each topic and has interesting conversations on them.
This man made legal business interesting. Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives a lot of extra credit for just going to class. His tests were somewhat difficult, but the extra credit made up for it. He is extremely knowledgeable. Take him if you can!!!
Professor Wood know what he's talking about and is good at explaining it. The classes are lecture-heavy but if you pay attention and take notes you will do well on the tests. He often gives extra credit just for showing up. He is funny and likes to get the class engaged.
Great professor, has engaging lectures and goes out of his way to get the students involved and interested. Throws out tons of extra credit just for showing up. Must take if you can.
He's super amazing and sweet. He's good at explaining what could be really boring topics in layman's terms. The exams aren't difficult if you study and he gives out a ton of extra credit just for showing up. Really a cool person.
He has some amazing real world experience but his tests are a little tougher. If you miss class, it'll be hard to get caught up since his lectures have all the class information. Really cares about his students.
TWood is actually the goat. Show up to class and he will give you EC. He loves it when you participate and don't be afraid to voice your opinion TWood loves all opinions. Show up to class and listen to his lectures because that is what the tests are on.
Tim Wood is a great guy who really connects with his students. Class is not mandatory but he gives extra credit for just attending. He usually ended class 15-20 minutes early. I feel like I learned a lot from this guy and his personal stories made the class even better. If you take good notes during lectures the tests should not be too difficult.
Exams are difficult but fine if you study. He is a great guy and keeps the class interesting and makes you actually want to pay attention. Attendance is not mandatory but gives tons of extra credit just for showing up, would take him again in a heartbeat.
Idk why everyone loves this guy his tests are extremely difficult for 200 level business cap course, goes off on tangents during every class so you can barely pay attention. Cool guy but just yaps all class and expect you to know everything about law for his tests.
Prof. Wood is very overhyped by the people that take his class. Sure he's a cool dude and gives out lots of extra credit, but his tests are incredibly hard even if you study, expects you to have the knowledge of a law grad student with how he gives his test when its a 200 level business CAP requirement.
One of the best professors I've had, made every lecture enjoyable, just sat in the seats of the lecture hall and posed questions as if it was a conversation with someone.
SO OVERHYPED. EVEN MAKE ME DOUBT USING RATEMYPROFESSOR. SURE, HE TRIES TO MAKE CLASS ENGAGING through conversation & discussion, but I only see it as yapping and that make taking notes SUPER HARD. Jumping from one thing to another, can't rely on textbook cuz he doesnt really follow it. he's a hit or miss so take him depending on your study style.
Professor Wood is my favorite professor at UD so far, he's one of the nicest people I've met and loves to talk to students. He sits in the lecture hall with students instead of standing at the front of the classroom, which makes it a lot more engaging. No attendance but gives out insane extra credit (I got over 30 points of EC). Still, go to class
He is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. He made class engaging and would always tell stories related to course material. You have to study for exams if you want to do well on them-- however, he gives extra credit for classes if you attend (which helps a lot). Recommend heavily to take!!
One of the best professors I have ever had. Genuinely cares to teach his class. Gives a lot of examples from his work experiences, and just a fun dude to be around. Also gives a lot of extra credit.
Tim Wood is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is engaging, interesting, and truly cares about his students. He gives a ton of extra credit and the opportunity to do really well in his class. Lectures are more like conversations, and he'll usually go around and sit next to people in class, encouraging them to participate in discussions.
MGT 201 with Wood was impossible. I worked harder in this class studying, than any of my other classes and only got a B. DO NOT TAKE HIM... Yes, he is a cool guy and a nice person. Very funny and willing to chat. But a DIFFICULT professor.
The GOAT, love this guy. Would take him again.
Super nice guy with a conversational teaching style. Plenty of extra credit and he often lets class out early. Attendance isn't required, but as long as you take good notes, the exams are very manageable.
