One of the best english teachers I ever had. There are papers but he helps with every one of them. Just ask for help. Tests are ok. I am not a test taker and I did well on them. If you have any questions he will answer all of them. All you have to do is ask. I liked the class. I took ENC1101 and ENC1102. Cool teacher.

He is very laid-back. You write 4-5 essays throughout the semester. Some in class essays as well. Kind if monotone. On the essays, as long as you follow the MLA format, you will get a good grade.

cant exactly say this class is an easy A but it isn't very hard. Definitely not a class for slackers. About six papers due all of which he goes over clearly. Attendance is an issue... my grade went from an A to a B because i had 6 absences. all in all... pretty good class!

this class is super easy. there are a lot of writing assignments but he grades the papers easy. i didnt get below an A on any of my papers. exams are super easy and he tells you what exactly is going to be on them.

Was a little hesitant about this class at first, but my taking it with this teacher proved to be a good choice! Professor is smart, witty and laid-back. Textbook use for either book is about equal. The essays count for A LOT, so write them. He will let you rewrite 2. Lets you leave early often. :) Recommended!

Professor B is AWESOME! You will not go wrong if you take his class. The essays (5 or 6 of them) might seem hard but he gives detailed notes on how they need to be written. Attendance matters but why would you want to miss his class?

I took this Professor for ENC1101 and ENC1101L this summer, he's an awesome professor and funny. There's a couple things to do that will help you maintain a good grade in his class: writing all 4 essay, homework, quiz and good attendance. Trust me, I will miss Professor B. Take him now before you regret it! :)

Professor Benham is one of my favorite professors! I took him for ENC1101 as well and he cares about his students. He helps you with ideas for your papers and he actually takes out time to remember everyone's name!

Classes are not that long. You will be assigned many reading assignments, but they are easy. The essays were based on very broad subjects which you will have to narrow down, but that is easy too. He tells you what he expects and will look over your essay during class which is nice. Overall fairly easy!

Professor Benham is one of the coolest teacher at palm beach state. He gives good feedback to your essays and knows what he doing. He has a little problem with his voice but you'll get over it after a while. Its an easy A if you do what he wants you to do in his essays but other than that hes good.

Professor Benham is a great instructor. He provides students with the means to succeed in class and obtain a good grade. He's teaching strategy works with students of different learning types. He is a very nice professor and he tells you how your paper should be written before you do it. He grade the papers easily and he doesn't give too many of them. There are about 5 papers and made APA format look easy for us. A few quizzes and homework assignments, but the grade is mostly weighed by the papers.

Professor Benham is the BEST ENC teacher at PBSC ! He actually cares about his students and had us do mini quizzes online that were 5-7 questions that really helped our grades. HE IS THE MAN! I took him twice for ENC1101 and ENC1102. He uses a book in which you have to read a lecture of maximum 3 pages and answer some questions. 3 or 4 essays and a final essay. HE IS SUPER COOL, i would recommend him for everyone

Took him for an honors course and after getting a feel for his style of lecture, I would take him again if I had to. The online revel textbook is mandatory since most of our assignments came from there. He has a sense of humor that isn't dry like most professors, so that really made a three-hour long, nighttime lecture not seem as long as it was.

He gives clear instructions on how he wants you to write your papers/cite/etc in MLA and APA format. Follow his instructions and you'll be good to go. He helps you with your papers, SO ASK AWAY. 3 papers to turn in other than the 1 midterm and final. Mini quizzes on short stories, and about 10 questions for other stories which counts as homework.

Professor Benham is a great professor. There are 6 essays in this course that he clearly explains the guidelines for. He is quite hilarious too and has a sense of humor. Even though he has to make an effort to talk for medical reasons he is one of the best professors that I have taken on PBSC. He was really inspiring with a touch of humor. We openly discussed social problems and he made sure we really learned something every time we left the class. If u do the online work, essays, and project u will be OK.

I took ENC1101 during the summer in the middle of the Covid pandemic. Benham was extremely understanding of our situation and was empathetic towards whats going on. He wasn't able to speak during class due to a voice disability so he types but I didn't mind that. Theres a few timed essays and some regular essays in the class. I would take him again

Professor Benham is an amazing professor I took him for LIT2110 and had to honorized the course for the honors college. He helped me a lot with completing the honors project and gave me great feedback. It all happened during Covid and he was very understanding. All you have to do is to read the stories, pass the short quizzes, complete the essays

In addition, his knowledge and passion for history made the classes even better. Choose him if you want to learn history but also meet an awesome person!

Not much reading, but you still have to read. he is caring and goes in detail with every assignment. one thing i didn't like is when writing essays, the word limit is 1000 words, maybe that's just me i don't like to write that much, but overall, he's amazing. he always looks up for his students, and lectures are amazing group projects were fine.

He did a great job teaching and taught a lot. I was very captivated by the subject and his lectures. He gives good feedback and has clear criteria for his work. He is honestly one of the best professors Ive had. I recommend him to everyone.

Very very nice and easy going. No tests just quizzes which are very easy.

He is a genuine professor that tries to answer any questions you have for him. His class, for the most part, was very interesting. And yes, you do have to write essays because it is a golden rule class, but none of the topics were boring. So I highly recommend that you take Professor Benham!

Great Professor ! I had him for Acoustics,( although that course code was not an option) and he really showed he cared about the subject. Great for getting the inside scoop, since he has tons of hands on experience ! I recommend you take him. He is very intelligent, and you can see he cares about what he does.

I would recommend Professor Benham to everyone, he truly was so caring, involved, helpful, and understanding. He's been doing this a long time, and you can tell. He knows what he is talking about and is great at explaining and using examples. Extremely easy grader. If you participate in class, there will be mutual respect all around. TAKE BENHAM!!!

10/10 One of the best professors on Campus

Professor Benham is 100% the best Professor I have taken at Palm Beach State! He is thorough, follows through each step of every single assignment very clearly making all the work easy to understand. There is only a few papers and easy quizzes, as well as some reading comprehension assignments. Take him! You will not regret it.

There is only one essay that will be your final. There were only 3 tests, which were open books. There was a few homework. He is amusing.

Professor Benham is a great teacher. He breaks down complex topics clearly and is very understanding. Using unstuck AI and the free textbook helped me ace this class. Highly recommend taking his course!

He's a good teacher and an easy A if you're responsible. He gives good feedback and I liked his class, but it definitely would've been better in person. He gives lots of chances to boost your grade with quizzes and assignments and makes sure to be clear about hw and papers.

One of the nicest film professors ever! I had him for both Intro and Advanced Sound and I actually learned a lot in class which I was surprised about. It's so hard to fail his class because it's an easy A. He actually gives his students a 15 min. break in class which no professor really does. I love him and would def take him again if I could :)
