Tim is a great teacher. He is passionate about literature and writing. Probably one of the most approachable instuctors at Camosun. I don't know why everyone says he harps on sex though! Definitely take his 160 class

hard marker, and a BORING CLASS! I went about half the time, and I still got a good grade. But i think that engl 150 is a boring class to teach, so maybe it's not his fault...zzzz

I was in a class where no one talked, so it must have been frustrating to teach. I liked Tim though because he tried really hard to motivate people, and The Great Gatsby is a really cool book!

I love this teacher!! He finds humor in many aspects of literature and I thoroughly enjoyed his class. I especially love his remarks on TV shows and movies. I wish he taught 2nd year english, so I could take another one of his classes. Tim rules!!!

I am sure that he is a genuinely nice person...but as an English teacher, not so much. He is a decievably hard marker, and wow, does time drag in his class. I always go, though at times I would rather be plucking all my body hairs out one by one.

I think Mr. Chamberlain is a very nice teacher for ESL students. He helped me a lot. I tell all my friends to take his class. He is helpful and funny.

Awesome prof, clearly loves his job. His energy and enthusiasm make learning fun (who knew?!). He's super easy to approach and provides ample help for papers and exams, great guy!

He gives minimal assignments worth allot and doesn't teach hardly any grammer techniques to help you on them, this takes a bit of pressure off, a bit more emphasis would be nice. Will give suggestions and help though. Nice guy,a bit too laid back. He's comfy with himself.

The class was good ONLY because Tim was the teacher. I have never had such boring room full of classmates before. I skipped so often because of the lack of participation. ack. He's a fair marker, just follow what he says in class and don't try to do more than he wants. take his class for sure!

Great teacher! I loved Tim's laidback style. He is obviously passionate about the course material. Also, he allows you to be creative in your writing, which is something some other teachers don't allow.

What a great teacher! He is willing to spend time with you to help with your work and he is very polite about it. I've never done any creative writing before, but Tim has made the experience worthwhile. I didn't do as well as I wanted to on the first major assign. but he make me want to try harder.

Very organized and straightforward. Always knew exactly what he expected of you and how to proceed with assignments. Good balance between class discussion, readings, lectures and writing assignments. Good humoured and approachable.

He's a very funny guy, takes class very heartedly. Always open to opinions, nobody is every wrong. Teaches passionately. Makes everything interesting. Marks fairly. Not very much reading to do every week. In class tests are fairly marked. Minimal quizzes. Love this teacher! Take the class!

our class average was 64%. Easy A my ass!! But he is a great guy, very nice, and relates his discussions to history. Class worth taking if you don't care about your GPA.

Tim is really nice! Camosun needs more teachers like him. Passionate, funny, interesting. Lectures were good, although read from text frequently. Very approachable. Tim will help you organize your ideas, and improve a rough draft. Flexible with assignment topics. Take this class!

Hard marker, class average on first essay was 70%, prbly the easiest essay to write all semester. His 10 Pop Quizes are stupid, I see his point to them but they are poorly structured and quite difficult, to the point where you'll need to physically STUDY the readings. If you do take this class, be sure to at least memorize the authors & titles.

Tim is a very outgoing, easygoing person. He made the class funny and he loved to hear input from the rest of the class. He is a very hard marker though. Make sure you show interest in his class and try hard and he'll notice.

Tim Rocks! He told me that my writing style made me a natural as a journalist. Guess what? In 4 years, I was a journalist writing National copy... All because he inspired me to follow that idea, when I never had even thought of it. Never had a better English Teacher FULL STOP

Tim is an AMAZING human being. He has a great personality and it is clear that he really wants his students to do well in his course. He is an amazing writer himself and incorporates a lot of contemporary issues into his course as well. Tim Chamberlain is one of the nicest people and best teachers I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Tim is a great guy! very outgoing and plaesant to be around. As a writer, I found him to be helpful. I enjoyed the peer editing groups, but the lectures were a bit boring at times. All in all, I think Tim is a good teacher, and you should definitely take a class with him :)

Tim is a great guy, really funny, and has a genuine love of writing that shines through in the course. I highly recommend him, especially if you take writing seriously and aren't just trying for some "easy credit". Excellent teacher.

Tim is extremely helpful and encouraging. This was the first writing course I have ever taken, and he made it fun and challenging. He always made sure everybody was on the same page and was not threatened by people's opinions. I thoroughly enjoyed his classes, and would take another from him in a heartbeat.

Tim is an amazing teacher. He is extremely generous with his time and will do everything he can to make sure his students succeed. He makes a class fun and interesting. He is a fair marker who is willing to meet with you to discuss the points you need to work on. He's awkward and hilarious and doesn't realize how funny he actually is.

Tim is extrememly easy going and passive but still passionate about this course. The course consisted of three 1000 word research papers and one in class papper, also 1000 words. Attendance was not necessary as long as the papers got completed. I wish all my teachers were like him

I have never enjoyed an English class before I was in Tim's class. He is very passionate, not only about the language but also about issues in the world, and we had very interesting in class discussions. Although class was not mandatory I enjoyed attending all of them. He is also a fair marker and is very helpful!I am so happy I took his class!

Tim was a really good teacher. He wasnt too tough but neither too easy. He is really kind and understanding and gives good contructive critisism. I would take his class again!

Tim was by far my favourite teacher! He is so excited about teaching and is genuinely kind. I didn't like the quick essay summaries we had to do because they felt like mad minutes, but other than that I think he wants his students to do really well and will always help.

Tim is a really great person and teacher. He is extremely easy to approach and very understanding. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he does do surprise reading responses and quizzes. It is also a good idea to do the assigned readings as those are what the in-class assignments are about.

DO YOUR READINGS. TEXTBOOK MANDATORY. Tim Is a great guy and he makes you work for your grade. Dont expect an Easy A, but he is the best English Teacher Ive had at Camosun. 3 Papers plus one 6 page research paper for the end assignment. Prepare to do the work. also, GO TO CLASS DO NOT MISS.

Tim is an amazing teacher! I'm not fond of english but I got through it because of him. Lots of class discussions. However, if you don't like taking in class he doesn't make you. So friendly and always has a smile on his face! I enjoyed his class and I would love him as a teacher again

Keep up on the readings. Don't skip class, he has surprise reading responses which count for more than you would think. Overall an awesome guy and great teacher. Do the work and you'll get the great. If you're quiet in class he'll ask you more questions! But if you can't answer doesn't make you feel any less.

He is super nice, certainly one of the best teachers at Camosun. Very friendly, easy going and humor. Highly recommend take his class.
