Great instructor! His class is fun as well as informative.

His class is very easy. He gives u the notes on the board which you have to write. His had writing is not that good but he does explain what he wrote. There is a weekly journal and as long as you do it you get an A. His test are exactly like his notes that he does on board. He has take home essays for test but again they come form notes. Great prof

Teacher is very cool, class is entertaining, knows his stuff. What others fail to mention is that you will be writing ALOT. A reading out of the text book accompanied by a paper every week. 3 tests consisting of multiple take home questions, minimum of 2 pages per question. If you need a Humanities credit I would recommend you look elsewhere.

Tim is by far, the most devoted teacher you will ever find. He knows exactly what he teaches, and knows the best ways to present his material. Plus, he's got a kick-ass haircut, and the goatee to back it up. If you're going to take one class this semester, make it Tim's.

Really cool guy and really funny with his lectures. The class wasn't super easy or super hard. However, you will need to put in an effort to do well in this class. There is a weekly writing assignment which is pretty easy. Take home essays for each exam. Not a very hard grader which is good for a philosophy class. Take him if class is needed

If you're looking for an easy 'A' this class is probably not for you. If you're looking for a class that is fun and challenging then I would definitely reccommend taking this class. Tim is a GREAT prof. He is hilarious and amazing a taking the most complicated material and explaining it in such a way that it is easy to understand.

This is the hardest class I have ever taken. It is also the best. It is EXTREMELY writing intensive. One paper a week & then several more for each exam in addition to the exam itself. Tim will take your world & turn it upside down and inside out, but you'll be laughing so hard at his constant shenanigans that you won't even notice until later.

Great teacher. I came into the class thinking it would be a waste of time, after the first week I knew that my first assumption on the class was untrue. There was an essay every week (1-2 pages double spaced) with 2 semester tests + a final. the tests and final both came with 4-6 essays (worth 30% of total grade). If you do all the work, easy A.

TAKE IT!!! You'd never expect philosophy to be interesting, but with Tim - its absolutely mind-blowing! Excellent! (and strict;) so don't miss classes)

Tim has a great sense of humor and will twist your mind in all kinds of ways with ethics. He does nothing but lecture so take notes and he requires lots of extensive writing for essays so take notes and attend class and you will do well. His test also require essay questions worth at least 30pts of the test. Be ready to laugh and learn

BEST TEACHER EVER!! I only took philosophy for a humanities class, but turns out, this was my favorite class I have taken in the whole time I've been in college. He should definitely not be working at a community college...his talent for teaching is insane. Out of any teacher I've had, he is BY FAR the best. You'd be crazy for not taking his class.

I took him for a mini mester this summer. Best choice for a mini mester if i say so. He'll keep you interested and you will come out with an A.

Tim is a teacher who does his best to make topics typically considered mundane interesting and fascinating subjects. Although attendance is not mandatory, the lessons build upon one another, so missing a class is not recommended. If you don't quite grasp the concepts, Tim is understanding and will do his best to help clarify until you understand.

I absolutely loved his intro to philosophy class! He makes you want to come to class....super funny and makes the subject interesting. Most amazing teacher EVER!He's hilarious and I looked forward to that class. You have to take notes on almost everything he writes. He's old school and loves notes (it's VERY easy) and there are papers that you need to write. Total papers= 14 (only 10 counted and the rest is extra credit). Study and enjoy him as a person. Took his intro and Logic class. Intro is the most important and best class you will ever take. Tim is one of the best professors ever. so is Devoley for psychology. beware, logic is nothing like intro. no fun stories. its math in language. teaches you how to argue correctly. but not useful if you're not going to be a philosopher. Let me start out by saying that the man is brilliant. He is funny and yet you learn so much, his enthusiasm makes you want to learn philosophy. The class isn't a "blow off" class, you actually need to take notes and attend class, but if you do both of those you will be fine. I highly recommend taking Tim's class for philosophy! Tim is the best teacher ever! It is not an easy class, but he makes it SOOO worth it. Tim is so involved with his students and he really, truly cares about what is going on with his students. I wasn't sure how to describe Tim, but someone said it perfectly, he is mysterious. A group of us in class decided he grew out of a rock with the sole purpose of blowing peoples minds. To say this was the best class I have taken would be an understatement, I love this class and love this professor.

I took Tim's class out of a recommendation from my brother and I have to say it was one of the best (school) decisions I've made. Tim's lectures are thought provoking, interesting, and overall amazing and going to class is always a treat. Yes you have a paper to write every week, but he grades easy and the tests are simple if you study. TAKE HIM!

Professor Tim is a great teacher his lectures are hilarious and inspiring but be prepare to give up your social life and your other classes there are 3 essays that he assigns a week before the test that need to be completed the day of test. When I took him he still had a Mohawk, not sure if that's still the case... Be prepared to think critically and write your own thoughts on the matter.

He is an amazing teacher loves what he does, his lectures are super fun and interesting. One of the best professors I have ever had. 1010 would recommend. He's super funny and helpful and makes you ponder life a little more, hence the value of philosophy is used in real life. There are 10 essays (easy) on the readings and he is a generous grader. If you have to take a humanities credit, do yourself a favor and take Tim.

There's just not another professor on the planet like Tim. I walked in first day & didn't even realize he was the professor! He's very passionate about what he's teaching, and he's very open to listening to everyone's ideas. Be prepped to MEMORIZE ALL of your notes for his tests, & that'll cause an A. He comes up with the funniest of philosophical situations and really explains things in a way that makes you think. The biggest downside was the class ending.

If you take Tim Cowan, you will look forward to his class every day and dread leaving! He loves his subject and it shows!Lectures are fun and super interesting. He changed my prospective on learning and life in general. LOTS OF WRITING BE PREPARED. He grades easily on grammar etc. Tests are HARD, but its COMPLETELY worth it! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

Tim is awesome! He's super funny and easy going. I had him over the summer and he lectures A LOT of material for the whole two hours nonstop. He's VERY BIG on essays, he assigns one EVERYDAY! Get ready to read a lot and write a lot, but overall his classes are fun.

Took 2 yrs ago. Tim is awesome at what he does. He loves philosophy, is excellent at understanding your questions, and will tell you the history and stories behind this subject with energy and power. He looks like a lead singer in a rock band, and I'm crushing on his brain. Because of his class I want to get a masters in Phil just for heck of it.

Prof Cowan is an incredible teacher. He is hard, you will need to pay attention, but he makes it so interesting you will love every aspect of it.

I have never given a rating on here, but I had to for Tim. He is the best professor I have had ever! He is passionate about the subject and makes sure everyone understands the material, his lectures are never boring and you actually look forward to his class. Tests are a bit difficult but if you study well you will be fine.

Professor Tim is the best! His lectures are absolutely amazing! His passion for Philosophy is contagious! You will look forward to going to his class everyday. The class does require a lot of writing, but you will learn so much. There is only three tests which require you to write about 5 essays with each one, and one writing assignment per week.

My goodness.. Tim is one of the BEST professors I have taken up to date. Wouldn't mind taking him again! There's essays due every week but he grades pretty easily. His lectures are amazing! He is hilarious and super laid back! Take notes and study because his exams will only be easy if you study your material! So sad this class is over!

Tim gives outstanding lectures. The information is very difficult, but he explains them extremely well. I received a B because I did not do the work, not because of something he did. If I had the chance I would take him again. I highly recommend him!

I have no idea how Tim was able to take a class I knew nothing about and turn it into my favorite class. I looked forward to class, because I knew I would laugh and I knew I would learn. He should be assigned to teach teachers how to teach.

The lectures he gave were pretty long, but he made them all fun and interesting to where it made me want to go home and learn even more about philosophy. I still remember everything that we've learned too. He really makes an impression on you that will last a lifetime and he's hilarious!

Tim is the best professor that I've ever had and I'm not even done with College yet. He makes the lectures super entertaining and breaks it down so it's easy to understand. He is true to himself and isn't afraid to speak the truth. Doesn't appear biased towards any particular opinion. Be prepared to write papers every week, but not hard grader!

This man made me fall in love with philosophy. He is by far the best professor I have ever taken! You are required to write a weekly paper for the class based on the reading. It sounds like a lot, but it helps you understand the material and is actually easy. If you are debating on taking this class for your major TAKE TIM! Seriously, he the best.

Don't get me wrong, Tim was a great teacher and clarified everything he was saying in class. The only thing is the papers were horrible. There are 14, 1 a week, and only 10 count the others are extra credit. For the test there is a 20-30 page paper outside of class due for a portion of the test then the rest is multiple choice and short answer.

At the beginning of class his syllabus and him saying he grades heavily on his weekly papers was a little scary. But after taking the class i have received hundreds on all essays(i am not a good writer). His first test was harder than expected, but i got a hundred on his second, so notes are important and use note cards for studying criteria.

Tim is easily the BEST professor I've ever had! His lectures are always very detailed, and he makes them fun and he's hilarious. He can be a little "out there" sometimes, but it just makes him an even better professor! His exams can be hard, but they really are exactly from the lectures. I would recommend him to anyone!

That beard though! I'm pretty sure Tim gets his powers from a combination of his beard and touching the wall. This is the best class I've ever had, and I would take him again in a heartbeat.

Amazing Professor, he will meet with you if you don't understand, incredibly patient, breaks things down, gives you amazing notes, the HW is really just a practice aid for you. If you do all the HW, pay attention in class, study and MEMORIZE your notes, this could be an "easy" A but overall an amazing class that should be mandatory for everyone.

Professor Cowan is an amazing lecturer, he is hilarious, very knowledgeable of philosophy. I had his class at 8 am and it was never a dull moment and always wanted to get to class and watch him teach. We had to write a paper a week but after the first few they were very easy to complete. If you study for his exams, you will be ok.

Tim is by far one of the best professors I've ever had! His classes are never boring very entertaining. He does give 14, 2 page papers and 3 ,20 page papers. Not as bad as is sounds he is a very very easy grader. The papers are easy to write test are 75% of your grade and the 2 page papers are 25% not much grading content! but defiantly take him!

What can I say about Tim that hasn't already been said? He is a fantastic professor, really gets you into the lectures and the overall subject of Philosophy. His tests are difficult, but as long as you study and do the essays you should get an A.

I am not a morning person so taking an 8:30 was more than low on my list. but tim made it amazing!! at first his syllabus might make you want to run and hide, but don't worry. it is not near as bad or as tough as it sounds. the hardest part of the class is probably preparing for the tests with his essay questions but just stay on top on your work!

Tim is the greatest teacher that I have ever had. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed in his class. Memorize your notes and you'll do fine on the tests. Homework is basically practicing what he taught in class. You do need the textbook for homework assignments. Highly recommend Tim for philosophy or logic!

Because of this class now i have a different look at the world and i was not a reader but his knowledge and how easy he makes even the most complicated ideam inspired me to read books. Professor Cowan is an amazing professor who really has a passion for philosophy! His lectures are ones to remember and creates examples that are exciting, fun, and memorable. His lectures are worth the short essays every week from the book (not very long and its all subjective) and there are only three tests including the final.

By far the best professor I've had, I took Tim for a summer class, and wish he taught at my University. If you take good notes and study you'll get an A. This was a 3 hour lecture and every day felt like 15 minutes. Tim infects his students with his passion and smarts. Tight beard game, and not bad on the eyes. Take this class!!!!!!

Great teacher with the easiest tests I've ever taken. There was a lot of writing but one can still get full credit even if you turn in a mickey mouse type paper. It isn't necessary to read any of the assigned material due to all the info being available via Youtube vids. Made 100 in the class without effort.

I wasn't expecting so many papers and research with this class, it was challenging and required much effort. Some things were hard to understand and some lessons he broke down to its Plainest form.

For starters, he's hot so that's a plus. He really is the best professor i've ever taken. He is super passionate and teaches so well. He explains things things with such a passion that you'd believe that's what he really feels until we move to an opposing argument and he argues that side as well. The reading is pretty light. The weekly papers are a breeze. The essay questions are time consuming, but not difficult as long as you take clear notes. The exams are straightforward. Tim is incredibly charismatic. Super energetic and positive. Funny and kind. I never wanted this class to end. I think about it every day. I might be in love with him.

He will make learning about Philosophy so intriguing and the class time will fly by. Class consists on heavy note taking but you want to take a lot of notes because you'll end up using those notes to basically write your essay questions for you. You can tell he is really passionate about what he teaches and he cares for his students.

He simplifies complicated material in Logic, such as syllogisms, which impresses me. He's attentive to every student, too, academically and personally. I joke that he's probably found enlightenment or something, but his warmth and care mean a lot. I hope every student has the chance to enroll in his courses. He's a genuine gem and his puns are fun.

I'm a Senior in College- I've been to three different Universities and Tim is hands down THE BEST professor I've ever had. He is passionate about his subject matter, makes me laugh hysterically, and the lectures were CLEAR as day as well as the tests. The hardest part was the essay questions which are about 30 pages of writing. However, if you take really good notes, you can do good on the essays. His lectures are awesome, and he is very funny. Wow just wow, Mr. Cowan hands down the best professor Lone Star can have. Only 3 tests including the final. The only hard part was the essays he would assign before the test, but if you take good notes you will be fine. He lets you record lectures if you ask for permission. Weekly papers that are easy to do. Overall study, write, show up and pass.

By far my favourite teacher when it comes to lectures. He's funny, and what he says sticks. I honestly felt sad knowing I can't be in his class forever.

I can see why he receives many good reviews. He is charismatic. I thought he was amazing until he did not have time to help when needed. He was condescending and rude. I was disappointed. Others in the class felt the same way and he was described as a fake and fraud. He does not respond to emails.

I'm bad at Math. Logic was tough for me. Tim teaches it in a way that can be understood but you must put in the time and do the homework. Same with tests, there are 4, worth 20% of your grade each. The remaining 20% is homework. He offers extra credit, just do it! Tim is flexible, caring, and kind. Show up, participate, ask for help if you need it.

Tim is the most considerate and helpful professor I have ever had. I wish I could take him for every class I have. If you do the work, you'll pass, if you don't you won't. The class isn't hard, but it does take some effort.

Tim is one of the best professors at Lone Star. Took him for Intro to Philosophy in the Summer after a long break from college and his class was so good it got me excited to go to class for the first time. Took logic in fall. Just do the assignments and you'll find it easy to pass. There's a reasonable amount of work, not too much or too little.

Our lectures are online, and his lectures are very comical at times. Professor Cowan is a very considerate person. He is great at what he does, I love his philosophy class.

I was really worried about taking this class on-line, but Tim did a good job of making everything make sense. The lectures were really funny, and the awkwardness of the teacher was kind of cute. If you study and to the work the tests are pretty easy.

I procrastinated the lectures, so make sure you stay on top of that, because theres 3 a week. Theres a weekly paper, but its an easy 100 if you read the material. The 4-6 essay questions and tests are not hard at all if you watch the lectures. The answers to the questions have to be 2-5 pages long. I loved this class and would take again!!

Professor Cowen is a truly intelligent educator. He makes the lectures interesting and easy to understand. He's incredibly hilarious. The class itself is very paper heavy which can become draining and easy to burn-out. Endurance and Persistence are key to succeed in this class. Also if you take good notes, the tests should be super easy.

There is 10 weekly papers based off the textbook chapters and an additional 4 extra credit papers. 3 exams with 3 exam essays based off lectures so definitely watch them, you won't regret it because he makes it so funny and easy to understand. One of the best proffesors, I've ever taken! He is always willing to help you out of class and is such an amazing lecturer. Not many proffesors make your class fun, but this one does! Every class is fantastic and incredibly interesting, if you want to take a philosophy class this is the proffesor you want to take.

Every single lecture was interesting and his ability to make it feel as if you're just having a conversation is amazing. There were quite a few papers, but he makes the subjects digestible. Professor Cowan takes philosophy up a notch! Not only does he engage his students in his amazing lectures, he teaches them that they really don't know anything, and how to look at the world differently! I was required to take this class as a general education course and ended up loving it! It does require a lot of writing but very manageable.

The best teacher I have had in college hands down. Tim's lectures are very clear and concise. They are not very long and if you make sure and take notes of everything he talks about, you should be ready to go for the tests. 4 exams (20% each) and around 15 easy homework assignments make up the final grade. Tim is such a nice guy and will help you!

Very good professor with fun video lectures. You will have 3 lectures to watch a week, and one journal due a week usually with a reading assignment. Be ready with it comes to the exams (only 3). Each exam will have 5-6 papers due with it. He gives you a week to do it. As long as you watch the lectures and put in the work you will do fine.

He was an amazing professor and I would definitely take his class again. There were a lot of papers to write but as long as you put in the effort he would give you a great grade. Prof Cowan has great character. You need the book for readings on the 14 papers (2pgs) due weekly. He has 3 lectures a week but they are interesting and 3 essay exam questions that are semi-long along with the 3 exams which are multiple-choice. As long as you listen to lectures and like to write and manage time this class is easy and great!

Truly one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is awesome. Success in this class depends on doing the required reading (which isn't bad) and taking good notes in the lectures. The exams have 5-7 essays but if you take notes in the lectures the essays write themselves. Super interesting class.

LOVED this class and teacher!He is so passionate about philosophy and his lectures are so fun and informing to watch. Each week we read a chapter from textbook, summarize it and answer a couple questions about it. Exams are 6 essays plus multiple choice. All assignments require u to watch his lectures bc everything is lecture specific. FUN CLASS

Tim is a great professor. Hes funny and enjoys what he does. My biggest complaint is that each test (theres 3 for the semester) is accompanied by 5-6 essays per test, while they arent super difficult, it can feel like a bit much. Really enjoyed this class though.

Tim was seriously awesome! Obviously loves what he does and makes lectures enjoyable. Easy grader! Ten papers. Three multiple choice exams with a set of essay questions also (usually 5 questions per set, 2-5 pages each), with a week to work on them. This class was an easy A! Super organized and easily accessible at any time.

I took Tim for honors intro to ethics. He has been my favorite professor so far. He is very engaging and encourages class discussion. For the exams, get ready to write! For each exam (2 or 3 depending on whether its honors) you have to write essays on different topics, at least 2 pages per topic. They aren't hard, but it does take time to complete.

he scared me the first day i am not going to lie lol, but is literally an amazing professor and person overall. super understanding and his lectures are SO fun. answers all questions and is laid-back. honors project was fun and tests are straightforward. he reminds me of a golden retriever. always in a positive mood. treats everyone equally

He is such a nice professor and is obviously very passionate about philosophy. He gives lecures on class and an essay every week. (10wk) and 3 exams that are so so easy IF you study. I should warn you that you should not miss a class bc if you do u can miss on notes that can be on test. you should definitely take him!

Some of this material is very difficult, so I appreciate Timothy's lectures that break it down in very easy-to-understand metaphors. He has a penchant for coming up with the strangest comparisons!

Tim is AWESOME! My bff and I took his mini. Lots of papers, 3 tests, lots reading. Very doable! He is so funny and entertaining. Teaches in engaging way, lots of stories and examples. He is very kind and caring. EC available. PLEASE TAKE HIM!!! Wish he could teach all classes @ LSC. Very casual class. Grades fast. Answers ? fast. Fav prof so far!

was hands down one of my favorite professors ever. essays due every Monday but not hard-He just wants us to read the material & write our thoughts. I took an 8AM class and never fell asleep. His lectures are funny and engaging. offers extra credit papers and grades very quickly. I would take his class again

He had great lectures. I took this class during a summer session. Tough to keep up but do what you need to do when and get an easy A. And learn something along the way.

100/10. Tim is so funny, and so good at what he teaches. He does an incredible job of breaking everything down, especially toward the end when the class begins to get more difficult. If you skip class, you'll miss out, and he does assign homework so be aware of that. Very willing to go back and explain things you're confused on. Highly recommend!

Tim is a great professor! He sets clear expectations from day 1 and as long as you follow along with the lectures you will do great! Pay attention and take notes over powerpoints. He makes difficult ideas easy to understand with current metaphors and discussions. Take the class!

In terms of teaching the class Prof. Cowan was one of the best I have ever had, very enthusiastic and clear in his explanations. However if you are looking for an easy class this is not it, almost daily essays sometimes 2 a day but if you can manage the course load he is a easy grader if you actually do the work.

Tim was, by far, the best college-level instructor I've ever had. His lectures are amazing and so fun to watch. If you watch them in their entirety, you will ace the course with no problem. He will explain concepts, then make relatable examples to make it easier to understand. I would absolutely take another course with him in a heartbeat.

I took professor Cowan for introduction to logic and he was great. If you actually want to learn something then his classes are the way to go, for I sat in on several of his introduction to philosophy classes as well. For logic, all homework is completion grade only, and there are 4 exams. Be sure to practice the concepts and you'll do great!

Professor Cowan is one of the only professors that when it was time for the last lecture I was sad. His lectures are so entertaining and I would look forward to watching/attending them. Yes, there is quite a bit of writing, but he gives you everything you need to write the papers. Some philosophy concepts can be hard to grasp, but he is the best!

Professor Cowan was hands down the best professor I've ever had. From day one his lectures were so entertaining and engaging, I've never seen a teacher more passionate about their subject. Encourages every student to share their ideas and he is always excited to re-explain things to make sure everyone understands. You absolutely must take him!

I'm going back for my 2nd degree, & Tim is without a doubt the best professor of any subject I have ever had. His lectures are entertaining; He encourages the class to ask questions & share thoughts, & the crazy part is that he makes you WANT to. Because of this you actually remember the class material. Amazing class. He should be @ a big Uni.

Weekly 2-4pg papers are super easy, just cite. That's it. Lectures are hilarious & make you want to participate. You remember his lectures because he is so enthusiastic & entertaining. Caring guy. I've taken two of his classes. He is an extremely funny person, and his lectures and examples always leave you with a deep understanding of the material. Don't let the first day of class scare you off! The philosophy papers were always very fun to write and extremely thought-provoking. Would take him again and again and again. I'll miss this class.

Professor Cowan has been my favorite professor so far. The work could be a little overwhelming, but he offers extra credit opportunities to help boost your grade. It was an online class, but his lectures made me feel like I was right back in a classroom. I would love to be able to take have him as my professor again.

Absolute joy to take his class. Tim is one of the most entertaining and interesting teachers I have ever met throughout my scholastic career. Ethics is tough but he makes it accessible, understandable and a joy to study. Just make sure you pay attention in class and read the assigned readings and you will get an A.

He's one of the funniest professor that I've ever taken. His lectures are easy to understand and you can use that for paper exam. There are 3 exams go along with paper exam (2 weeks to prepare for each papers in summer fast pace). Easy A if you take note everything he says in his video lectures. Take him, please, you would never regret.

Great professor, will really work hard to help you understand complex topics. Homework is nothing too extreme, read a chapter and two page paper summarizing and responding but they're very easy. Tests are very writing heavy but if you study and READ READ READ your notes you will do great. Not a class you can skip and do well in!

TAKE TIM FOR PHIL 1301!!! I would not have done it without him! Sure, there are a ton of papers, but he makes it so manageable and EVERYTHING is in the lecture. Take good notes and you'll make an A easily. It's not an easy A, but it is worth the effort. Never miss a lecture! They're so entertaining! I wish there was a 6/5 rating. Do not miss out!

Tim is an amazing professor. His stories are so fun, and classes seemed to go by so quickly. Probably the best class I've ever had, and I plan to take his logic class in the Spring. Some of the students said he's actually famous, but he is really down to earth and caring!

I'm not sure Tim is a real person, there is a 50/50 chance that he is a robot trained to teach philosophy as a human might, only much better. The future is here, and I am all about it!

Hilarious, one of the best professors I've ever had. He makes learning philosophy so fun and entertaining, highly recommend him. Be prepared to write though, the weekly papers aren't too hard but make sure you do them. Tests are also not too bad. Such a fun class!

Mr. Cowan was the best professor by far for so many reasons. While yes there is a lot of essays to do, he grades them very very nicely and his lectures are so good that I remember so much from them. He blends perfectly the fun, easy going professor with the information and immense knowledge as well.Thank you Mr. Cowan for being so amazing!

Tim Cowan was one of the best professors I have ever taken, his lectures are very enjoyable, he clearly loves what he teaches. He's a fast and easy grader. There are 3 exam containing 4-5 papers. Overall, Although it's pretty writing heavy, I think he does it to help students study. Also he'll make you question your existence every day.

Professor Cowan's PHIL1301 class is a must-take! His engaging lectures and great sense of humor make the course super enjoyable. While the workload is manageable, unstuckstudy AI was a lifesaver for studying and paper writing.

Highly recommend taking this class. Professor Cowan runs an amazing class. Three lectures (take good notes!) and one paper based on a reading from the textbook, every week. Three exams (use notes from the lectures) total. Everything on the exams come from the lectures and his lectures are amazing and easy to understand. Definitely take this class.

He was such an amazing profesor. Tests are 75% and weekly papers are 25%. He grades papers very nicely, just follow the format and you will get 100s on all papers. Take good notes during videos, everything that's on the test is said during them. Essay questions will never be less than 10 pages. Again, he grades these nicely if done correctly. 10/10

Tim's class is fantastic, I wish I could take his other classes. I'm not sure there is a better professor at Lone Star. Every class seemed to go by in minutes. I'm going to miss coming to philosophy. Thank you Tim for such a great semester!

Professor Cowan's Logic class was probably my favorite class. I loved everything about it. The exams were pretty hard, but if you do all the HW and pay attention during the lectures you'll do good. Cowan got to class early and stayed after to help us with the HW and practice problems. I learned a lot, and had a lot of fun with my classmates!

Arguably one of the best professors I've ever had. He inspired me to double major in philosophy after I transferred. His lectures were clear, concise, and delivered with a sense of humor. He's brilliant and witty, making everyone, even those with no philosophy background to feel welcome in his class. His research paper is flexible and up to you.

What an amazing guy! He was an awesome professor as well! I said that in two statements because he deserves both.I not only had a blast watching lecture- but felt that he genuinely cared for students. even if u hate phil or u hate actualy doing work TAKE TIM I used to not really care or see much of a point in work, but even just sitting through his lectures makes u think, he's so easy to understand, and the tests were pretty easy just show up, listen, take notes, ramble in ur papers, changed my life and many others, hes too caring 4 this wrld :)

He's one of the sunniest people I've ever come across. He is an excellent professor. His lecturers are great and interesting. Do not slack off, there is a lot to learn. Professor Cowan has changed many perceptions of mine. Definitely take him!

I loved this class, someone said that Tim was "sunny" and that is a perfect description. There is a lot of writing, but the topics were actually really fun. I'm taking his logic class next semester, and I don't even need it! Great class, take it, you won't be disappointed!
