What is with the MULLET? A pretty good teach but very tough grader. I believe he just makes up the grades because he doesn't show you anything you did wrong....

Very helpful teacher, will help you after class or whenever he can, has a great sense of humor, i suggest taking him

Best math teacher I have ever had. Hes really easy to understand and willing to go the extra mile to help his students.

Doesn't take attendance. Tests are only a few questions, but long and hard. Decent guy with sense of humor, but a hard grader. His explainations when learning new material aren't always clear.

Simply amazing teacher. Quite possibly my favorite teachers of all time. He's quirky, which kept my attention through out the whole class. He is very precise in his teaching. He explains everything to a tee which is a wonderful. I learned a lot with him and I highly recommend his class.

Great guy. You dont have to do the homework. He goes over it the next day so take notes on that. The homework before the quiz is the quiz.

He is a great teacher. he is funny and explains everything every well in the class. the homework before the test is usually the test. One of my favorite professors.

This guy looks like the dad from Bobby's World. Haha, but he's so easy and straightfoward. His whole class was based on the calculator, so just make sure you have one. The key is that he loves to talk, so if you bs w/ him after class he'll be as helpful as possible.

Dimantoni class is all about skill building. You build your skills and he looks like an umpa lumpa only taller and better at math and doesnt eat as much candy. Pay attention youll do grimey. Shave your elbows before each tuesday class and everything will work out.

Excellent at what he does. Keeps class somewhat interesting with his antics. As long as you pay attention in class you will do well. I would absolutely recomend him.

Great guy, easy teacher. Explains things very clear, and if you pay attention the class is a breeze. His quizes are no more than 3 questions each which are exactly like the ones he does in class. I would definalty recommend him for math 107.

Tim is a classy guy. He explains the material thoroughly and his exams are based on class discussions.

VERY frustrating for Finite Math. he's never taught it before so us students were constantly correcting him. other than that really easy. the tests are the homework, just make sure u check the book and dont rely all on him.

Fun teacher, and keeps to what is covered in class. Very descriptive and clear. homework is up to you but if you dont do it, youll probably fail.

This professor is a great guy. he makes it easy and is willing to help with anything as long as you participate and show effort you should be fine. hes the best math teacher i have ever had. he keeps it interesting & his test are simply the homework problems! Everyone should take him for math

I have never enjoyed a math class before this one.. and I especially never expected to get an A in one! He is an amazing professor; he really cares about his students grasp on the material and never tries to trick anyone. Plus, he is just a really cool, approachable, and laid back guy. If you go to class and pay attention you will do fine.

Best Math teacher i ever had. He really wants his students to pass his class.Very helpful.One test every month in one semster=4test for da semster.Don't really need to show up to class. Just pass his test and your good. Easy A.

Not much to say about the man except that I really enjoyed his classes (had him for 101 and 102). He is extremely fair and gives students every opportunity to do well. He is very straight-forward and all the quizzes and exams come directly from the homework.

Top notch, great professor, Umass D should hire more like this. Get rid of the deadwood...

great teacher, had him for calc 2. i went into it thinking how hard people say calc 2 is and i got an A in the class. he explains everything to you like your a baby. its really easy to pass his class. hes great and helpfull. he is a little slow though, he should have covered more material than he did.

He's an easy grader and loves to help his students out in any way he can. He's very nice and one of the best Math teacher's I've ever had. Even if your not in his class he tutors at the Math and Business Center so I would recommend him not only as a teacher but as a tutor as well.

Great Teacher. Attendence isnt mandatory but you wont to attend. His classes are really fun and he knows exactly what he's talking about and can explain it very well. Would deffenitly take his class again. Higly recomend.

He's an awesome guy. And so down to earth about everything. He doesn't teach things in a complex abstract way. Before I took this class, I had no interest and was nervous about Calc, but he made it so clear and easy. One of the best teachers I've had.

Best teacher! If you go to class, you'll do fine. If you need help all you have to do is ask and he'll give you all the time you need until you understand the material.

Really nice guy. Can be funny too. He gives you the homework well in advance so you can get a head start, then goes over it in class. PAINFULLY thorough when it comes to explaining, but comes in handy if you don't understand something. He can also help you outside of class if you ever need it.

Diamantoni was one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He's very thorough and clear with his teachings and doesn't expect everyone to know the same amount. Tests are graded very fairly and no question is worth more than the other. Essentially, showing that you understand the concept is good enough for him. I highly recommend this professor.

Prof. Timothy is my favorite professor in UMD! he is the most genius math professor I have ever met. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO TAKE HIM! he is more than perfect and he we are still friends until now. He is the single best professor I've had. He really cares about teaching and gets really excited about it. Imagine Bill Nye teaching calculus. He even looks like him, sorta. Take his class if you can! If you're unlucky like me, great professors like this are few and far between! I'm always on a lookout during registration time for his name.

Honestly the best professor I have had here at UMD. He actually cares about his students and wants to see them excel. He's really good at explaining and is always there when you need help. I highly recommend taking him if you can because he truly is a great teacher. I suck at math but he made it so much easier for me to understand.

Diamantoni is a great Math professor. He is truly passionate about math and it shows. Awesome at explaining topics if you do not understand them. Is always available for tutoring as well. Pop quizzes are usual but if you do the homework he assigns they are no big deal. Definitely recommend.

Not many tests, frequent pop quizzes but super easy, I thought it was an extremely easy class but if you don't like math that may change. If you need a math credit, take this class with him and if you pay attention you will get an A. Great guy, and very cultured.

Diamantoni is amazing. I had him for MTH 148 & I just had to take him again for MTH 149. I wish I could take him for every other math course I need. He is straight-forward, homework is optional, and is extremely helpful. Typically there was a basic quiz every week and 4 exams (including the final). If you have the chance, take his class! EASY A!!!!

Diamantoni was amazing. He is crystal clear with his explanations and is always willing to help. He is funny, sincere and wants each student to do well. He doesn't yell at you if you don't pay attention in class but don't expect a good grade either. As long as you do the homework and pay attention, his classes are super easy.

I loved having him this past semester and i really wish he was teaching my next class too. He really takes the time to make sure every student understands the material. He doesn't force to you pay attention or pass in your work but he grades you based on effort. The only way to fail his class is to not show up.

This was my first Calc class. I took pre-calc in high school. He tells a lot of stories, but is a good teacher and is willing to tutor you if you ask.

This professor is a really great lecturer, he knows his math and he high encourages his students to work on their algebra skills. His exams are a bit tuff if you don't study.

Mr. Diamantoni makes his class simple; if you show up and do the homework, you'll do well. He's very nice and knows how to explain math concepts to people who are not the greatest at the subject. Definitely take him if you can!

Timothy is the most caring Math teacher I have ever had! Really wants you to succeed and makes sure you understand the material. He is not a fan of Webassign but is required to assign it. Show up to class, do the homework and he will like you. Such a sweet man.

One of my favorite professors! Very understanding and approachable. If multiple exams fall on same day or week he will often move his to reduce stress for students. Exams, homework, daily warmups, and attendance are all weighted almost equally so grade not so heavily affected if lacking in one area. Use warm up, notes, and hw problems for exams.

Professor Diamantoni is an extremely energetic and kind professor, and he is passionate about teaching. He cares about his students and how they learn. He is a very talkative, and we often wouldn't start learning material until ten minutes after class started, and we didn't cover all the material that we were supposed to.

hes a really nice guy but seems to be struggling with the online classes from coronavirus. he doesnt teach everything thats on the homework on zoom lectures and i find myself teaching myself a lot

One of the few professors who I believe really puts the work in. Very energetic in class even under the constant stress a professor faces. His entire day is dedicated to the success of his students. Very underappreciated. Would 100% take him again.

Professor Diamond was a real gem this semester. We've utilized WebAssign, and I took advantage of the Ask Your Teacher button for every homework assignment; I always got an answer! It really helps to ask questions if you don't understand something in his class. Otherwise, you'll be like me and spend 5 hours on homework every night. Thank you, T.D.!

I'm a transfer student and this is my first semester at UMD. I like this professor a lot. Very friendly and helpful. He's understanding if you're a student that struggles with your work. He does a good job explaining the course material the first time. I'd definitely recommend this professor to others.

Prof. Diamantioni is a very engaging and caring professor. You can really tell he cares about his students. Sometimes classes focus too much on one problem or go overtime, and graded attendance (while being only worth 10%) can be bothersome. There are also 2 tutoring sessions for 6% of your grade. I enjoyed this class and would recommend!

If you pay attention in class, math will become one of the easiest subjects in your life. Homework is reasonable and not too long. He is always available for tutoring and he will help with questions you have. His attendance and grading policy is super lenient. He's also just a fun guy, he's traveled a lot and good to chat with!

Hands down best math Prof. I had in a while. Be ready to learn he is great at explaining and is very understanding if you don't get the topic. He is willing to help you outside the class especially if you are struggling a lot. His grading criteria is fair and pretty straightforward. Put in the work and you will do fine.

Personally I'm not good at math but Prof Diamantoni made me love it! His lectures are scattered but he presents the info that he expects you to know for the exams. If he sees you put in the work he'll meet you half way. Would definitely take another class with him and recommend him to anyone!

He is a great teacher and has a passion about the information he is teaching. His attendance policy is amazing and gives you up to 7 absences. He allows you to do homework assignments on your own time. There are 4 exams but one gets dropped, meaning if you do good on the first 3 you dont even need to take the last one. genuinely a good guy

Very easy to pass all homework due on last day and you get like 7 absences and he drops lowest test grade and the online text book is very helpful cause he does ramble a little bit but very nice and easy class

You can tell that Professor Diamantoni really wants you to succeed. All homework assignments on WebAssign are due on the last day of the semester, and he gives you multiple opportunities to boost your grade. You have to go to 3 tutoring sessions to get full marks in that category, but you have excused absences and he drops the lowest exam grade.
