This is one of the best History professors I've had. He lectures and gives just the facts, no opinions on things that have nothing to do with History. (I.E. Bush and the Iraq War)His tests are fair, you have a mid term ,and final, along with several quizzes and writing assignments during the semester. He does a good job and I would recommend him.

Easiest teacher I have ever had. All you had to do was memorize the multiple choice on the website. He is also very nice and fun. His major is in European history not American though, so he didn't teach many of the fun details of early American history.

Fun class makes things interesting too. A nice guy but don't try to take advantage he can be tough if you are lazy.

If you want a great history teacher pick Mr. Fizpatrick! He's an awesome guy and uses humor to teach!

Made himself available if you needed extra help.It seemed like he cared if you did well in his class or not.Very upfront about what information you needed to know for tests. I enjoyed this class, he went over the material and showed a lot of interest in the material he was teaching. I spent a lot of time studying for this class' final, but if you have a good memory and are any good at taking notes you can pass this class. He was a funny guy; I generally enjoyed his class, despite it was my hardest this semester.

Two rules: Go to class & read the text! He's a great teacher. Makes history interesting and fun to learn about. Uses slides with clear notes. Tests are usually fill in the blank but most everything from notes or assigned reading. I loved this class!

Very generous teacher. Makes the material interesting. He does not require attendence, assigns a few in-class papers but they arent hard. There are a few quizzes, a mid-term & a final. The final is hard, but thankfully he is nice enough to give curves. Great teacher. DEFINITELY recommend him if you want and interesting but easy teacher!

Mr. Fitzpatrick was my favorite professor this semester! His class was informative and entertaining, and I definitely learned a lot. He's also really funny, and he uses his jokes no get you to remember stuff sometimes. He gives you in-class papers and quizzes, but they aren't hard to do well on if you read and take notes. I'd recommend his class!

Took him fo a fall express class. Quizes were easy if you pay attention in class and do summary style readings. If you read everything easy A+. He's fair, respectful and understanding. All around great class, great teacher easy course.

This teacher tells you everything you need to know and keeps everything simple. He is very funny and very informative. The only way to fail this class is to refuse to do the assignments or never show up.

He was fantastic I would take his class again! He made history interesting for me, a feat I thought impossible. The only thing I didn't like was that he won't tell you when the quizzes are, you just have to show up and find out, or hope you don't skip on a test day.

Fitzpat was a lot of fun, he has a lot of enthusiasm about what he teaches and makes it a lot less boring. His quizzes are easy if you read, otherwise you struggle. He has some really cool papers and assignments that make history useful today. I recommend him, wish I had him for 2010!

Fantastic teacher! He is funny and he really cares about his students. The quizzes are moderately hard, but he gives you plenty of extra credit on them. A lot of quiz questions are on the final exam and midterm. Trust me, this professor makes history easy. I learned a lot and got a high A.

Awesome professor. He definitely knows how to keep you from falling asleep in class. Also missing a few classes is not going to detriment your grade. So don't worry if you miss a coupe of classes. Just keep up on quizes!

I hate history. He made this class very interesting. Yes the lectures do get boring sometimes & make you want to fall asleep, but he makes it fun. The mid-term & final are very easy giving you more questions that he counts, the rest are extra credit. The quizzes are easy if you study for them. Make sure you just read the book & lectures. I got a B+

I loved him he has a great sense of humor and made the class very inresting. As long as you do the work it is an easy class and he prepares you well for any of his tests.

Be prepared for a ton of "fill in the blank" during his lecture. He likes to ask random students questions, so read the book and keep up.

Write down and study everything he goes over in the notes and you will end up with a %100. He gives you absolutely everything you need in this course. If you don't make an A, it's your fault.

Fitzpatrick has a great, albeit corny, sense of humor and is a genuinely nice guy. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he doesn't put his powerpoint slides online and 90% of the classwork is based on what he goes over in the powerpoints. Although he lectures, he makes the class engaging and entertaining. Highly recommended!

Fitzpatrick is a very corny guy in general. His PP are just outlines of the textbook. Attendance is not mandatory and neither is reading the textbook. However, I recommend reading it as you go along because I didn't and it caused me to get a D. The Final and Midterm are super easy; he uses quizzes as study guides.

I don't like history but he's so silly and you can tell he's really into what he's teaching so he makes it a lot better. Midterm, final, 6 quizzes and 4 papers (very easy papers, questions from book). GO TO THE MAKEUP DAY EVEN IF YOU DID EVERYTHING.

Good class,but you have got to go to class even though he does not require you to be there. If you do you will do well. I learned alot from his slavery lectures. He also stressed the importance of religion in history which my high school teachers never talked about. A diferenct approach to history that I liked. Way funny jokes.

He's a really great teacher. I'm awful at history, and don't really care for the subject, but he made things interesting. I think he really tries to make it easy for the people that put in the effort . I'd recommend attending all of his classes, especially if you had him once a week like I did. Would totally recommend him, really nice teacher.

History is not my strong subject, I just really never could like it until I took Mr. Fitzpatrick's EUH100 history class, he made it interesting and added a lot of humor to the lectures, he made History really fun. the assignments are straight forward, read the chapters, take good notes. This guy was real cool, I always enjoyed going to his class. His tests were online so you would be able to use your notes. Easy class to get a good grade in. His lectures are pretty funny often telling stories from his past, take his class!

He is very easy and willing to work with you. i took his class during the summer. he tries to keep you interested. i really wish he taught more subjects but take him hes probably a top 3 history teacher at this school

Took this class online and was unsure of what was expected from us students, at first. But after I went into his office and talked to him, everything made sense. He's very helpful and understanding and actually has a good sense of humor! The assignments were interesting, challenging, but not impossible. Definitely recommend taking his class!

Good class. If your not willing to do the work by yourself dont take the class. He helped me when I needed it but class is really for people who can keep up with the reading. Went fast learned alot from the book and his videos. straight up online.

His expectations are very clear. Everything is laid out in the syllabus. Lots of reading. Must read the chapters in order to answer the obscure questions on the tests. Test times allowed for an average of 70 seconds or less per question- Read the chapters! Overall very well prepared on-line class, expect to put forth an effort to earn your grade.

Dr. Fitzpatrick is an excellent instructor. He goes out of his way to help students. What he expects of you is clear from the beginning and he wants you to succeed. Also, he doesn't just want you to understand the material, he encourages you to engage with the material, with presentations, movie clips, reenactments, etc.

Dr. Fitzpatrick is most likely the best teacher I have every had. He is so knowledgable in everything that has to do with history. His class is always the highlight of my day. I would hate having to come to school without having his class in my schedule. I now have a love for history that I will carry on for the rest of my life.
