Gacsy is a good teacher, but teaches straight from the powerpoint. Answers any questions in class that you have. Unfortunately all the tests for acct 280 are standardized, so the tests are difficult.

Good teacher. you will need to buy the wiley plus access code but don't buy the book because it's online. teaches straight from the powerpoints, powerpoints are emailed prior to class. Tests aren't hard if you use wileyplus. no reason you shouldn't get an A!

Great teacher, down to earth, loves what he does! The same person who creates the WileyPlus quizzes is the same person who generates the test so make sure to study those quizzes.

This was my first college accounting course and eventhough the material got hard at times, professor Gacsy was really clear in explaining things and he always makes sure you understand it before he moves on. He tells you what to expect on the test and he gives curves!!! Doesn't get any better than that!!

Take him, he rocks! You won't get a better teacher than him for accounting. He wants you to succeed and does all in his power to help.

Gacsy is a good teacher. His objective is not to make the class as hard as possible, but for you to learn a lot. He gives curves when they are appropriate, and prepares the class adequately for tests. I would recommend Gacsy for accounting

He doesn't really teach unless you ask a question, then he does a pretty good job of clearing it up. However, he does tell you exactly what will be on the test so you can be completely prepared. Definitely the acct teacher to take!

Timothy Gacsy is a like the "accounting teacher for dummies". I don't mean that condescendingly, but if you're a nutrition major who has take one entry level accounting course (I still don't get that), this is the guy to take. He won't rake you over the coals and try to make you a CPA. He also hands out an excellent exam prep sheet. You can't lose!

The class itself was a little challenging but he always let us use textbooks during tests and we had one take home test. Don't be fooled by open book tests , you still need to study! But he is a great teacher and always helpful

The class covered a lot of material but he was very generous allowing the 3 exams to be open book/notes. Do not let this fool you though studying should still be done in this class..open book does not mean that it's a cake walk. It was a great class and I learned a lot. Very much enjoyed the professor.

Fairly easy class, made the class fairly interesting, exams are open note and provide a lot of examples to go along with lectures.

Tests and Quizzes were open book but that doesn't mean the class was super easy. If you listen in class & read the chapters, you're guaranteed an "A". Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go to class you'll miss the quiz for the day. GREAT TEACHER!! I would take his class again.

it is really a good course if you are not an accounting major and want to have a basic understanding of accounting. open book test. the mentor is really helpful, so you can feel free to ask him questions at anytime.

Professor Gacsy keeps accounting interesting. The work load for this course is very moderate, and Prof. Gacsy gives plenty of study material, so you may recieve as much practice as you like. Test are open book. Gacsy values critical thinking more than memorization. Great intro class!

Professor Gacsy is a great professor. He goes through the powerpoints for each chapter and provides examples that we work on in class. He is a fair test giver and grader with opportunities for extra credit. I strongly recommend him for an upper level acct class.

He clearly knowns a lot about accounting however it often felt that we were just reading through the powerpoint slides. While all of the handout material was great to study with some additional & different in case examples would have been great to tie concepts together.

Awesome professor! His number one goal in this class is to help each and everyone succeed. Attendance is not mandatory but I advise everyone to go to class. He is very funny; always provides a good time in class. If you put forth effort you should do well in this class. Lectures are always power points but at least everything is always concrete.

He was willing to help whenever needed and is able to relate and understand that college student don't want to sit in class every night scheduled for hours listening to someone teach.
