Ummm HOT!! His class is also very easy to follow and he tests straight from his notes. You will learn a lot in his class. Teaches tons of "useless knowledge" but it is really interesting stuff. Definitely take him.

He was great! Study guides helped a ton! You do however have to keep up, but he was very helpful, kept class interesting! If you are interested in Bio, take him!

If you like 90 minutes of complete lecture with a couple of jokes in the middle, then this is the class for you. He is willing to help whenever you need it but he only teaches for the "note-taking" learners. The lab had nothing to do with the class. His tests come straight from the notes though, but i still wasn't fun at all.

had him for lab, willing to help the students, easygoing guy who doesnt want to see the students do bad.. show up to to the lab and do your part and you'll be fine, also study for the quizzes if you want a really good grade for lab.

I had him for Lab. He is a funny teacher. Sweet, cares, and wants to see the student succeed. Quizzes are fairly easy as well as papers. Come everyday, do work, turn papers in on time, easy A!

Great prof....had him for lab. Awsome sense of humor, outgoing, fun, knows his stuff.

Fantastic teacher. I read the first chapter of the book before I realized it wasn't necessary. He's big on attendance and being on time. But he is a great teacher. He's very funny and makes it a fun class. The class was pretty easy too. I definately reccomend to take a class with him.

Uses powerpoint, so just copy it study the notes and get an A on the tests. he's very cool, makes u laugh once in awhile.

Tim Hoving is, hands down, my favorite teacher. He is really helpful and nice. He really does care about his students and he actually makes an effort to talk to you as a person and not just his student.

Tim is a good teacher and a good guy. He is knowledgeable in the subject and always willing to listen. I only used my text to complete crossword puzzles; Tests come directly from notes.

Prof. Hoving turned me around to Biology. I actually had him for lab and lecture and found the class to be great! I usually hate Biology too. He teaches info that can be used in daily conversation, and makes class fun. Very thorough in explaining everything. And I agree, there is something oddly attractive about him : )

I loved this guy, awesome awesome prof! seriously lucky if you get to take his class he totally knows what hes talking about, hes funny in a lame kinda way, hes always there when you need a little extra help and is willing to listen. I want to write to the board just to tell them to give this guy a raise he is easily the best prof i have ever had.

I found his class kinda boring and routine. But it was pretty easy and he teaches it so that a kindergartener would understand the material. He likes to show video clips, that helps with the monotony. He is tricky though, always go on fridays or after test days bc he usually has an inclass assignment. All in all a good prof, just a little boring

This class teaches about the surface of everything. He makes it easy but that does not mean he is dumb like some people believe. I was in honors bio and AP bio and he knows what he is talking about because he can take a specific detailed question geared for an AP class and elaborate on it. He is very an overall good teacher

Tim is awesome! This Class is an easy A as long as you come to class and pay attention. He teaches exactly what he tests on and repeats what he wants you to know over and over. Class discussions are interesting. I only wish he taught 121

Great Professor. Never afraid to answer questions, or take time to explain something a little more. Make sure you go to class, as missed days often effect test scores.

I have taken and dropped Bio101 twice in the past. I took it with Tim this summer and got a B final grade. He's super helpful, really funny, and laidback, yet very knowledgeable. Notes were in PwrPnt & study guides on BB helped prep for test. IF you studied those, the test werent hard to pass. Im glad I had Tim for BIO this time...he's AWESOME!

I strongly recommend him, he's an amazing teacher! He made me actually want to go to class. Super laid back, funny, and the guy knows his stuff! Go to class, pay attention and study the guides and you'll be fine. Take him for lab too if you can. Overall, GREAT professor!

I had him for lab and lec. He was very clear and his notes gave you everything you would need to study for class. In lab he would turn on Pandora and listen to music, it made lab so much fun. He knows his stuff and is always open for questions. He explains things simply. He has a good sense of humor and makes the class laugh.I HIGHLY recommend him.

I think hes a really good professor i have him right now for bio 101 lab and hes really nice, laid back, funny and he plays music during lab whcih is really cool. Hes a very good proffesor in my opinion.

Mr. Hoving is a great teacher! Had him for lecture and switched to him for lab. Nice and very helpful! Understanding and straight forward. ATTEND CLASS (in class assignments) and do the mastering biology. Study the slides, and take little notes for tests. Skim chapters and go to lab you will get an A. Highly recommend! :)

Bi 101 is the easiest class in the world. Hoving is a cool guy. Knows the material, teaches well, and makes class fun. Usually get out 10-15 minutes early and he cancelled class on friday a few times. Take him for lab and lecture. If you don't get an A, you might want to rethink the whole college thing.

One of the best lab profs I've had! He's really kind and helpful to us! Always check your lab to make sure you got the right answers at the end of lab. If you didn't, he'd just tell you the answers or he'd show you where. Very clear with his instructions grading. I recommend taking him for lecture as well

I really liked this professor. He had nice power points and was really funny. He's a super nice guy and gives you the tools you need. Study all your mastering biology and you will pass tests easily. Get him for lab too. I wish he taught more bio classes.

i enjoyed his class and thought he explained concepts well. took his class+lab last winter and it helped me greatly in bio 151. he's a funny guy and he's helpful and recommend him to anyone.

I took Hoving online for the class and had him for lab as well. His tests are multiple choice with a a few short answers, but they werent hard. Put in the time and youll get a good grade. I failed 1 test and still managed to get a B+. His labs arent bad either, overall he is a good guy for biology, especially if biology isnt a subject your good at!

Really great professor. Very Clear, willing to work with you and knows when to throw a good joke in there to keep you interested! There wasn't an attendance policy for my class, but he does do surprise 5 pt assignments in lecture occasionally so if you skip out, you may be losing pts. Would love to take another biology class with him.

Mr. Hoving is an awesome teacher. His lectures are very interesting and he cracks funny Biology jokes sometimes. I couldn't pick enough tags because a lot apply to him. If you have to take a science class, definitely take biology with him.

Mr. Hoving is a great teacher. He was very clear on his expectations and made learning biology fun. He gives you chapter guides which were very helpful in studying for the tests. I wish he taught other biology courses because I would definitely take him again! I would highly recommend this professor!

Right from the first lecture I knew Mr. Hoving would be a great professor. He conveys the information clearly and doesn't waste time. He has a great speaking voice for long lectures and always uses humor to make the class more interesting. I recommend taking his classes. By the way Im bad at science so it says a lot that I actually enjoy his class.

He is funny he is straight forward, gets to the point, he explains well if you have a question, very approachable.

His lab is very easy to do well. There are lab quizzes every week reviewing the previous weeks information that are about 10 points each and are very easy. Background music is played during his lab session which makes class fun and enjoyable. I would recommend him to any person that needs a lab class for BI 101.

Awesome Dude!

I took his lab class so obviously you need to show up for the credit, if you don't thats 10 points off automatically because of quizzes. His class was one of the best classes, he is very easy to understand & very helpful. The quizzes are really easy just make sure to highlight the key points in your packets & you'll get a 100%. Worth 25% in BIOLEC.

I took this class as a Summer online course and found it to be easy if you actually put in the time to study. The class is a bit test heavy and you will be require to take the test in person which is annoying for an online class. Some of the material can be unclear but overall just make sure to study effectively and you will get a good grade.

I'm not very good at science classes in general but I loved this class. Very easy to understand and anyone will do well as long as you show up and do the notes. You have to do a lab as well and I highly recommend his lab. Super easy and simple.

Professor Hoving is awesome. He is very helpful and is always able to explain material multiple ways to help you understand it. There are multiple opportunities for points. He offers very helpful feedback along with clear instructions.

Prof. Hoving did a good job responding to my emails and making an online class very accommodating during test taking. He let me take tests at local places near me so i would not need to drive into campus.

Mr. Hoving was my lab professor this semester. I never once dreaded going to his class and it was by far the easiest and least stressful class I have ever taken. He explains all the steps very thoroughly and is walking around helping out the entire time. I would take this class again and again. I can't say enough great things about him.

Took him for lab, easily the easiest class I've taken. He was approachable, and always open to help if you just ask. His labs are easy and you take a mini quiz at the end which are common sense based, its just to make sure you paid attention in lab. You always work in partners or groups. I had hybrid lab so half the labs were online and still easy

His class was really easy just show up and take notes. The notes will help when it comes to quizzes and tests. His grading is very simple and he's easy to access.

Professor Hoving is an INCREDIBLE professor! His lectures are engaging, he's super funny and caring. Takes the time to answer everyone's questions even if they're wonky. You can tell he's very passionate about biology/anatomy! He even has lecture outlines which are extremely helpful to keep track of all the info! Take this prof!

Really great person and professor! I am not good at biology at all, or any science for that matter but he was very caring and made sure we understood what we were doing even if we were online. His test/quiz questions are not definitiion and answer, they actually make you think and want you to connect what you learned to certain scenarios.

Professor Hoving was my favorite professor this semester. Mr. Hoving gave great lectures and made some of the more boring topics of biology interesting. As long as you pay attention in class you should do great.

Great teacher! He's very understanding and the class is super easy. Open book quizzes and he makes slideshows to help study for your test. This course itself has a lot of TERMS you need to remember and diagrams to follow. Make sure you study the SPO's he gives and the slideshows he provides, it'll be the key to passing those 4 lab tests.

Had Prof Hoving's class online but any time I needed help with anything, he was there immediately to assist with whatever I needed. I would definitely recommend to others!

Loved Professor Hoving even though it was an online course. Always replied to emails whenever I had questions and the grading criteria is clear from the start. I know if I had Professor Hoving in person I would've loved the course.

I had Mr. Hoving for BIO101 LAB. The labs were very well organized and interesting, there is a quiz at the end of each LAB on what we did, Mr. Hoving is a very nice and helpful teacher.

Professor Hoving makes biology engaging, even for non-science students. His clear lectures, helpful office hours, and optional extra credit make the course manageable. I found Unstuckstudy a great study tool alongside the textbook.

Super chill and funny. Uses the book sometimes, and he offered extra credit a couple of times with kahoots. The tests are usually at the end of the week, they weren't bad, and he goes over what to study clearly in class.
