He cares about your improvement and will always answer any amount of questions about your paper quickly. Attendance isn't mandatory but you get 10 or 5 extra credit points depending on if you missed no classes. He is tough on grammar and conventions in writing but is very fair otherwise. Enjoyed his class he's the cutest
Great professor. Hes really funny and likes to see students succeed. He gives extra credit at the end of the semester if you went to every class or missed one class. The course was 3 essays and a blog which was actually fun to do. He gives clear rubrics and helps you with your essays to make sure you pass. Best professor I have ever had.
He is a really great, funny, professor who truly cares about all of his students. He really just wants all of his students to become better writers. All of his assignments are clear and as long as you do them youll be fine. He gives extra credit if you go to all the classes and his classes are in benefit to you so theres no reason to skip
Great guy, great teacher. More focused on making you learn and try rather than trying to screw you in grades, very easy going
Great professor, very interesting and while lectures do tend to get boring (but thats English in general), hes a cool guy himself. Very understanding with work but will hold you to deadlines. Very nice to know outside of the classroom as well
Only issue is that he thinks the class is harder than it really is. Still a great prof
Straightforward class thats not difficult to succeed in if you turn in decent work on time. Course includes lots of in-class discussions and a few major writing projects that build some useful writing/analysis skills. In my experience, he was always helpful and understanding about extenuating circumstances.
Mr. J is really great. He pulls in current topics to his lessons which makes them more enjoyable. There is also great feedback he will give that truly boost your writing abilities. Mr. J is a professor that keeps it real and actually helps you learn something.
Interesting lectures and writing prompts. He really made me enjoy English
hes good
He's a great guy and teacher. He clearly enjoys teaching and cares a lot about his classes and the students in them.
Hes a real one
This teacher is one of the few I can honestly say is one of the best I've had. From day one I felt he really cared about me as an individual, and about my progression as a writer and student. He made lessons engaging, interesting, and with plenty of room for change as the class needed.
Both entertaining and supportive
Mr. J talks a lot sometimes but you learn a lot about how to write a research paper and conduct actual research.
He was super approachable and helpful. He gives great feedback and he is a very fair grader. He is enthusiastic about what he is teaching and does a great job making lectures engaging.
He was very clear in everything that he assigned. He was a very fair grader and if you listen to his feedback, show up, and do all of his assignments you'll be fine. Although he gives more work than other E110 professors, its very straightforward. Would recommend.
An amazing teacher.
He is a caring professor.
He is a very caring professor that truly wants to get to know his students. The grading criteria is clear, with rubrics for every assignment, and he gives lots of opportunity for useful feedback.
He really cares about his students doing well, and he'll talk with you about you and give you feedback on your papers if you ask.
The class was a great introductory english course. He cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed.
Although there is a lot of work to do for this class, it is doable. It is apparent that he really cares for his student's wellbeing and success. As long as you work hard, follow his feedback, and submit work on time it is easily to do well in the class.
It was not very hard to get an A in this class. Three major papers and one class assignment a week for attendance grade. 10 bonus points at the end of the semester for attending every class. Always made lectures interesting and had very clear grading criteria. Would recommend him to any freshman taking E110.
He really cares about improving your writing skills and will do everything in his power to help support you. He is very understanding and very kind. His rubrics are clear, and if you follow instructions, you easily can get an A. I highly recommend you take his class if you need to take E110.
Great Professor! Does not accept late work but offers extension. Overall easy class and does not assign too much work.
He is an overall really great teacher. He was super flexible during the changes to the online class realm and was very understanding. He was very consistent in assigning work for participation once a week and general assignments (such as drafts and outlines). He gives quality feedback on papers and you can tell her really cares about the class.
He is a great professor. His lectures were engaging, he was always willing to help (inside and outside of class), and he gave great feedback on drafts in a timely manner. He was very understanding/flexible when classes had to be moved online and always put his full effort into class.
He makes extreme use of group feedback and it is obvious he wants his students to succeed. He is accessible outside of class and gives timely feedback on your writing.
Great professor! He is super nice and gives great feedback on papers. Attendance isn't mandatory but you get extra credit for not missing any classes.
There is lot of opportunity in this class for a variety of work and the way it is done we have short papers, a long essay, a video report (cancelled due to covid), a long research paper, and often working with others to gain and give feedback. There are not too many graded assignments so if you do poorly on an assignment it can hurt your grade.
Super awesome teacher, especially if you aren't a strong writer. He'll help you with anything you need and he understands that not everyone in his class is passionate about writing, which just made me trust him more. You have to come to class, though. Attendance is very mandatory.
Great prof!
Terrible
Great professor but some of the assignments seemed unnecessary
All of his assignments seem unnecessary and like busy work. There is at least one major assignment due at the end of every week. He was not understanding at all and I honestly dreaded going to his class every week.
Such an amazing teacher. Truly cares about his students and is so respectful. Has the class down to a science and with every assignment he provides a clear rubric of what he expects, and tons of past students' samples to help you get a good idea of what to do. Such a nice guy, I feel grateful to have gotten him as my professor.
I would definitely take this class with him again! He is so nice and understanding as long as you do what your supposed to do! He gives opportunities for points to be added to your grade. He really wants us all to pass
One of the best teachers I've ever had! He offers points for perfect/almost perfect attendance but I would have been motivated to go to class even without the points. Super helpful comments on all the projects and so enthusiastic about teaching. Highly recommend!
Really great guy and he made the class bearable. He is an easy and fair grader and gives good feedback on drafts of assignments so there's really no excuse to get a bad grade. If you show up to class, you get extra credit as well which is a plus.
bless this man's heart but he gives so many effing assignments, he expects a lot out of you for E110. It is really hard to manage his courseload. He's a great guy but I don't recommend
You have a conference with him to decide your midterm grade (he is very lenient). Your overall grade consist of 3 major assignment, two research papers and one I-Movie. He does give a lot of busy work as preparation for the big assignments, slightly time consuming but aren't graded (only to receive feedback). Would recommend!
One of the best teachers I have ever had! He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He gives extra credit points for coming to every class/ almost every class. You have a conference with him to determine your midterm grade and he is very lenient with what you decide you deserve.
Good professor for a basic intro class, doesn't stress minimal work and will give lots of feedback for exactly what he's looking for for big assignments. Definitely recommend for ENGl110 since you have to take anyway
Professor Jadick is one of the kindest and cheesiest professors I've had. He is very supportive of writing and is very responsive about any questions that you have. He makes you feel comfortable in the course and will support you every step of the way as long as you put the effort in. He loves what he does and it is very obvious!
I love this man. So easy going and is so thoughtful of his students time in class. He makes you put in the work but overall it was a very easy A class and gave extra points if you went to every class plus one of his office hours. Definitely would take this again and you recommend to anyone.
Gives a lot of great feedback and is accessible outside of class. Wants to help you become a better writer and you get to decide 30 percent of your final grade. Would definitely take again.
He is extremely helpful and enthusiastic about his class. You get to decide 30% of your grade, but the other 70% is based on a paper and a project. It isn't difficult to succeed as long as you put in the work, and he offers help on assignments willingly. I would recommend him to anyone needing to take this class.
Professor Jadick is a very good professor and I would recommend everyone to take his class.
You could tell he really wanted his students to succeed, you would get extra credit for coming to all classes and was a pretty easy grader.
Professor Jadick is easily the kindest and most caring professor I've had at UD. He genuinely wants every student to do well and is very clear about how your grade will be determined. Show up to class every time for extra credit, but you can miss up to 5 days without penalty. Would definitely recommend Jadick for anyone needing to take ENGL110.
Great professor! If you came to every class and went to two office hours you got 5 points added to the final grade. Only 2 papers to write and one iMovie, keep up with little assignments and you will do fine.
Professor Jadick is a clear, organized, and caring professor. Though sometimes there is a lot of reading or a long paper quickly due, he is very good at clearly explaining what you need to accomplish. There are about 3-4 major papers and projects that he is very helpful with. He is quick at responding to emails too!
Professor Jadick was extremely helpful and if you do the work then you're almost guaranteed an A. He will re read your paper as many times as you want and give you feedback. You basically grade yourself and if you show up to class and try then you will get an A.
Professor Jadick is a caring teacher who truly cares about his students doing well in and staying punctual for their work, but understands that things outside of class happens.
He is a great professor who gives you extra credit for showing up to class and going to office hours. He is really nice, flexible and gives great feedback. You get a lot of chances to revise your papers and other assignments, which there aren't many in total. You grade yourself for your midterm and final and then there is just a paper and i-movie.
Professor Jadick has been easily one of my favorite professors so far at UD. He's very kind and cares very much about the success of his students. He gives you all of the available resources needed to pass and his work isn't too difficult. Just make sure to show up to class, if you attend all lectures and two office hours you get extra credit.
Great guy. Easy class. Basically wrote one paper and made a movie. You can check your work as many times as you want with him before you summit.
He was by far my favorite professor I've had at this school(i am a sophomore). He really wants his students to succeed, he gives amazing feedback, very accessible outside of class. Doesn't give tests, only gives easy essays and a final I-movie then little assignments. Great professor I loved him.
Super Chill and very willing to help throughout the semester
He is a good teacher and genuinely wants his students to succeed. He is always willing to read something over if you ask him and give feedback. He helps students when they are struggling. Its not hard to get a good grade but there are only a handful of large semester long assignments graded.
Professor Jadick truly cares about his students and will make an effort to get to know them. There is a synthesis essay at the beginning of the semester, and a final research paper and multimodal i-movie at the end of the semester. Jadick works step by step with students to do these three assignments throughout the semester.
Professor Jadick has been one of my favorite professors so far. He wants his students to succeed and works with them step by step to make that happen. He will give you as much feedback as you want before submitting papers and is a very nice guy!
Professor Jadick is one of the most caring and empathetic professors I've had at UD thus far. He is willing to give feedback up until you need it. He is easy to reach outside of class and has office hours weekly and will work with you on whatever you need. Great guy and, a great professor. An easy A if you put in the work.
Actually cares about the class learning. Very easy to get the assignments done well and on time as there are so few.
Obviously passionate about his work and wants to see you succeed. Rubrics are very clear and easy to read. I highly recommend going to an office hour at least once because his feedback of papers is very helpful and straightforward!
Provides great feedback for every essay written and dedicated much time for drafting before final essay is due.
very helpful when you have questions and give good feedback on papers
Overall, he was a great professor and was super clear with instructions. He doesn't take late work but he is very straight forward on when things are due. For this being an English class you really don't get a ton of work. Would highly recommend!!!!
Great professor! Would take again.
Good professor, wont get a grade till the end of the semester. 3 major assignments that you work on pretty much the entire semester two being papers and one imovie. Very understanding teacher and wants you to succeed
A great professor. He provides very clear expectations and makes himself available to answer questions. Strictly follows the syllabus but the expectations are very clear and he is very understanding. Work is split into a very manageable load and all assignments build on each other to make the final paper and project very manageable.
Overall an easy class. Jadick follows the syllabus, which is nice as you know what your entire semester will look like. It's an easy class that also introduces you to many helpful resources and only a handful of assignments, with two major assignments being a paper and a video project related to your paper.
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I transferred into this course from another ENGL110 class at UD and couldn't be happier with the decision. The difference between professors was as clear as the difference between diamond and dirt.
Although in the beginning of the year he reminded me of Mr Crocker from fairly odd parents with his look and Radom spurts in class I quickly found him being one of the most chill conversational teachers I had throughout the semester.
Good professor, but follows the syllabus directly so attendance is mandatory and there are few grades. Sometimes is hard to follow, but the course is easy and he is accommodating.
For anyone having doubts about taking English... don't have doubts. Especially with Proffesor Jadick. Amazing teacher gives great feedback on work and he provides a clear schedule for the full semester so you can always stay on track.
Professor Jadick was incredibly helpful throughout the entire course, he gave great feedback and clearly wanted us to succeed. The grades are just an essay and multimodal video that goes with it, but he spends a lot of time getting us to work on it and they both essentially complete themselves.
First and foremost, Jadick is an amazing Proffessor. His feedback on writing is great and he will spend a great deal of time helping you with each process of your paper. He's provided a full schedule for the whole semester so you never get side tracked or last and you never have to worry about not completing stuff on time.
Not a lot of readings or busywork, just a few major assignments. You have complete control of your grade
Professor Jadick is a great teacher who keeps the semester organized with a clear schedule, making it easy to stay on track. As long as you attend class regularly and complete assignments on time, you'll be set for an easy A.
Professor Jadick was kind, and the course was very organized and easy to follow. As long as you keep up with the assignments and their due dates, you'll be just fine! He also puts an emphasis on revision and writing drafts to receive feedback on before the final submission. I'd recommend taking his class for E110 to anyone!
Great professor, made English less stressful and a bit more fun.
Only a few assignments were given. Professor Jadick is very helpful and will give good feedback on your essays. Attendance is a bonus if you go to every class you get an extra 5 points and 1 missed class is 3 points. Everything else would be deduction if you missed 5 classes. I would take his class again!
Prof. Jadick is a very good professor, especially for ENGL110. There are three main grades in the class including one research paper, a multimodal project, and a final reflection review. If you are someone who struggles with English in general, I would recommend taking this course.
There are only two writing assignments, one small one to gauge your ability, and then the major one that takes up the rest of the semester. There is also a video project in tandem with the big paper. Nothing too bad, and he's very nice and understanding! Very easily accessible.
He gave good lectures and was very helpful during the research paper phase of the class.
Jadick was a great professor and he was very interactive with students. His feedback on papers was very clear and helpful to improving my writing skills, and he was very helpful whenever I struggled with an assignment. You have to do a multimodal iMovie and interview a professional on a research topic which was a little tedious but it worked out.
If you need to take a first-year writing class, PLEASE TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I gained so much knowledge from him and was able to improve my writing. He had a clear schedule that was easy to follow, so you won't get sidetracked. He gives clear feedback and is a very chill and nice guy. I recommended him to people who need to take a writing course.
Prof. Jadick is a really nice guy; I really have no complaints just know attendance is taken every lecture but if you have perfect attendance or only missed 1 day you get extra points, but if you miss 5+ you lose points. Only wrote 2 papers, 2 annotated bibliographies, and have 1 final video project.
This course is very fair and Professor Jadick is very nice and understanding. I would love to have him again. I don't know my grade yet but assignments were fair.
Professor Jadick was a very fair and great professor! I would 100% take his class again!
SUCH A GOOD PROF! There were no graded assignments throughout the semester, just 3 final grades at the end. You get to pick a portion of your grade. Office hours were very helpful!!!!!!
This class is super easy. Professor Jadick is super nice and gives very helpful feedback during office hours. Your grade is only made up of a few assignments and you get to pick a portion of your grade. Would recommend this course/professor to other students.
Professor Jadick is a very caring teacher and will take his time to help his students with their work. He leaves great comments on your paper and takes his time to know his students. There is a good amount of tedious work but if you stay on top of it, you will do fine. I would definitely take again.
Prof. Jadick is an awesome english teacher and his class was great to take! I believe I became a better writer and a better critic with all of the class feedback we had to do! I highly recommend this professor, I took 18 credits this semester and it worked out just fine!
I had the privilege of having him as a professor in college and high school, and I would 100% take him again. The course load isn't too much, and rubrics are clear and easy to understand. You can earn extra credit from attending class, which definitely makes everyone want to be there.
Great professor and pretty easy class! Attendance is extra credit, and you lose points if you miss 5 or more unexcused. Very nice guy, and offers good feedback. The rubrics are easy to follow, and there is not much homework. You get to propose your own grade, so as long as you do the work it should be an easy A.
Amazing teacher, although attendance is not mandatory, you will get extra credit if you miss 0/1 class. He is very kind and helpful, the work can be a lot at times if you aren't a great writer but he will give extensions and is understanding. Overall I loved him and definitely recommend.
Professor Jadick is great. He is really accommodating and willing to help when you need it. He responds promptly to emails. The class consists of 3 grades, a research essay (40pts), imovie video (30 pts), and a self grading portion (30pts). You have all semester to complete the essay.
Prof. Jadick is genuinely such a great, thoughtful professor! He is very understanding and always willing to help. You get extra credit if you miss 0 or only 1 class, but will also lose points if you miss 5 or more. The only big assignments are two essays and an iMovie. The second essay and movie go together and are the larger part of your grade.
He's awesome! Some weeks are really homework heavy, but he's a really great teacher and it's not a hard class as long as you put in effort.
Super chill professor who only assigns two papers and actually cares about and teachers quality writing. Not graded on that many things but he gives you a lot of feedback and time to comlete things. And extra credit if you show up to every class!!!!
Prof. Jadick was a really great professor and provided great feedback on all of the work that we did for his class. There aren't many assignments that you have, I think it was about three to four assignments, and none of them were super difficult as long as you put in some effort. He is a great professor and is willing to help you when you need!
Professor Jadick was an excellent English 110 professor. He is very understanding and helpful. I would 100% take him again and highly recommend him to people looking for an English professor to take
Professor Jadick is a great guy and an amazing professor. His course only consists of 3 graded assignments, but the whole semester is dedicated to doing them. During this process, he is there every step of the way and is always ready to give help when needed. He is flexible when it comes to certain things.
Good professor, first impression was that he'd be very harsh, but as the semester went on I realized he's not. The only thing I didn't love about the format of the class was that we had very little time to work on our Research Essay during class and when we did it was in short 10 minute intervals which is not an effective writing technique for me.
Professor Jadick genuinely cares about his students. There are a lot of assignments but you will have enough time to complete them. professor Jadick also grants 1 extension.
Prof. Jadick is very funny and gets through material well, leaving plenty of time to work on your papers/projects and peer-review.
Professor Jadick is an incredibly kind and passionate professor. His class is graded by three items, a research essay, an i-movie presentation, and a final reflection. He gives lots of time to conferences about essays and is very good with extensions as long as you give him notice. Perfect attendance gives extra credit.
Professor Jadick is really cool and laid back. He does not make us do a lot of work but there are little and tedious pieces that do not get added to our final grade. He is always there to help and is super understanding. You should want this teacher for E110.
Professor Jadick was very kind and easily accessible outside of class. You're only graded on a few things including a synthesis essay, a research essay, an i-Movie video, a midterm reflection, and a final reflection. A bit lecture heavy and boring, and no time is given to do work in class. Overall, an easy class just put in the time and effort.
Super lenient and understanding. Just show up and do the work and you pass. He never gives homework so its pretty easy stuff.
Professor Jadick is probably one of the best ENGL110 professors at UD. It was clear from the beginning of the year of what the course would consist of. Attendance was mandatory but it's in your best interest to show up so you don't fall behind. I received good feedback from him and he wants the best for his students.
Probably not the easiest E110 professor, but if you aren't lazy, I recommend him. Requires rough drafts, which gives an opportunity to get feedback and improve your paper before submitting for a grade. Attendance required, but offers extra credit for missing fewer than 5 classes. He's a good human.
Jadick is a good professor but he loves to ramble. He is good at giving feedback to those who ask for it and is always willing to help. You do have to do some work outside of class because he doesn't allow enough time in class. He also doesn't grade everything till the very end so I didn't know what I had till around finals time.
Professor Jadick is very easy to work with and always there to help.
Helpful and nothing is really "due" till the end of the semester but there is still a proper timeline to follow.
Professor Jadick is a very good teacher. He keeps the class engaged and we practice and draft a lot before we finalize anything, this helps the students get good grades on all assignments. He is very helpful and gives good feedback, he will do anything to help a student and is very understanding.
Really good course! You get to self grade for majority of it and he is super lenient with due dates.Theres mainly only 3 big factors that play into your grade. Most assignments are graded for completion. Class was easy to keep up with and the professor is great. Attendance is mandatory if you want the extra few points added onto your grade.
As a student who doesn't really care and just wanted to pass the class, Jadicks a pretty cool guy. Go to office hours since you can get some extensions if he knows you. 10/10 add me on Strava Tim :)
Really Nice professor. Will work with you if you need the help and need extensions. Easy and as long as you do the work that is needed from him, then you are golden. Attendance is kind of graded. If you miss more than 5 classes you lose points but if miss less than or equal to 2 classes you get extra points. Overall great teacher and a great class.
The class was overall easy and Professor Jadick is caring and genuine, and willing to work with you on deadlines if needed. Attendance is mandatory but he gives extra credit if you attend every class which is helpful.
Was the best professor I had this semester Hands down. The class was later in the day so its hard to want to get up and go to it but he is very enthusiastic. All the assignments are very organized and easy to follow along. Overall a very easy class as long as you do the work.
Professor Jadick was nothing but great; it was an awesome class with social time and a great use of technology. Not needing to use textbooks and only needing to be confident on a computer. All of his assignments have deeper meanings, which are used for the final. I would take this class again and recommend it to anyone looking to take an ENGL110.
Prof. Jadick has been probably my favorite professor at UD so far. The coursework is only difficult to keep up with IF you have a lot from other classes, but otherwise it's super easy. You have a chance for feedback on your work so that you can make it better almost every week. He's really caring and understanding with issues. 100/10 professor.
I transferred into this class about a week into the semester and I am so glad I did. Professor Jadick is very chill and honestly just a nice guy. The work load in his class is a lot less than every other ENGL 110 class. He is also very understanding with due dates or anything else you need. I highly recommend you take his class.
Jadick is a good guy and does care about his students but this was so much work for a E110 course. We never had enough time in class to finish the writing portions and I'm not able to see my grade until the end of the semester. He is a good teacher and gives good feedback but be prepared to do a lot of work out of class.
Easy class, Professor is super nice and understanding
prof. jadick is a kind man, but he has a tendency to ramble or over explain. you only get graded on 3 things the whole semester, so if you mess up one thing, your grade is basically tanked. you also only write two essays, which feels a little slow for a college course. overall, he's a good person but maybe better as a high school teacher.
Funny, engaging, and organized. Provides a clear schedule from the start. Many assignments aren't graded, but will only benefit you if you do them on time so you don't fall behind, can participate in peer review, and get his feedback. A lot of research work outside of class. Gives extra credit for coming to every class. Small class so made friends!
He lays out a clear outline for the course early on, which is helpful. The workload is manageable, the assignments aren't difficult, and he is a good guy who isn't strict. The only thing I would say I didn't like was how no grades are put in until the very end of the course.
Professor Jadick is a super nice and caring guy, and his class is very chill. He offers bonus points to your final grade if you attend every class (+5 for zero classes missed, +3 for one missed class), and leaves timely and helpful comments on papers. There were only two major essays in the semester, one partnered with an iMovie project.
Overall he is really nice and his class is really easy. He is a fair grader and leaves lots of detailed feedback. The work is not that hard there are only 2 essays and 1 movie assignment at the end of the semester. He does a good job laying out a clear outline for the course in the beginning so you know what to expect. 10/10 would recommend.
He's a really cool professor. Gives extra credit if you don't miss any days of class.
Professor Jadick was very helpful and gave good feedback on our writing. There was a decent amount of work but it was very manageable. He also offers extra credit if you don't miss more than one class during the semester.
He is very kind and is not scary to go up and ask questions to! He gives great feedback, and I learned a lot about writing and using sources.
This professor did a great job of making learning fun. He gave freedom to the students but maintained control and followed course goals. I learned a lot about my writing ability and how to make a project that communicates on more levels than just writing. Great class, if you put equal effort in to the amount Professor Jadick does.
very easy going
Very understanding of students' personal lives and ensures that personal issues do not interfere with grades.
He did a great job teaching this class, and it was a perfect level of difficulty where you still needed to do work, obviousl,y but it wasn't stressful.
The professor is really chill, very helpful when it comes to reviewing work and looking for improvements.
Very kind and understanding professor, class was very interactive
Professor Jadick is such a kind human. He really understands his students and he helped me through this class a lot. The class itself, you have a lot of creativity and full reign and he supports you a lot. Its quite a few formative assignments but Professor Jadick has a great class setup.
I had a great experience! The way he structures the course is unique & helpful in building up to the 2 major projects. Research & writing heavy, but, work within the timeframes he makes, & you will be just fine. He is also extremely good at giving feedback & is accessible outside of class. This makes the projects less stressful. Great prof!!
This guys is very nice and super cool.
Professor Jadick is a great guy and wants all of his students to pass. All you have to do is attend class regularly and submit minimal assignments you will get an A or a B at worst.
