He is a good&helpful prof. his lectures are clear. it was 3hr class but he ended eariler most of the times. he gives out the review sheet with the questions and pick 2 or 3 questions from it so the students can choose 1 to write an essay about. He does take attendence but its not mandatory. But do not miss any quiz or exams!

One of the greatest teachers I've ever had in any school. His explanations are clear and concise and he really cares whether you understand or not. His classes are anything but boring half the time we spent laughing our asses off, def. not immune to charm and his tests are real easy, If I could take him again I would in a heart beat,And hes HAWT!

Excellent teacher. If you want a clear understanding of history then take his class. All his lectures are on powerpoint and also posted them on BlackBoard. He's always around if you need extra help before the midterm and final. Just make sure you read the assign reading before class and participate in the class discussions.

This is my third day so far taking this professor class. I am very comfortable in his class. He teaches history in a fun way so that you understand the work and it's details. He also post the class notes for that day on blackboard and also provide a review sheet for exams. He's a great professor. I recommend others to take his class.

This professor makes history sooooo interesting. i loved that class and it was a night class so i wasnt even too excited about it when i first registered. his lectures are interesting. you do have to work for your grade he is not an easy grader but if you listen to his lectures and take good notes. you'll be fine. The best professor in QCC!. All his tests are essay questions but the good thing is that he gives you the test two weeks in advance so you can get ready! usually he gives you 4 questions and out of the 4 he only puts 2 on the test. He is a tough grader but I mean you have to be really lazy to fail this class!. Overall a great professor!!! TAKE HIM

He's such a fun professor. I don't know how but he makes history fun. I would absolutely take him again. I learned a lot. He like to act out his lessons that helps.

He's a really good history teacher I took a history before him and got a B- and the teacher was horrible I took him and got a A- and he makes the class interesting and is very clear about test and breaks down what to include in them. Gives a midterm a final and 3 short quizzes I'm not really interested in history but he made it interesting and fun

One of my favorite professors in QCC! I took him for my fall term 2014 & passed with a B+. Clear on what is expected, 4 quizzes & the lowest is dropped. 1 midterm, 1 final & voila! His enthusiasm & passion forces you to become interested in history; & I don't even like history! A breath of fresh air. I highly recommend Keogh to any & everyone!

Easiest class I took at QCC. Assigned 3 papers (where you could get a 100% with only a paragraph). Those papers contain the *exact* same questions on the midterm. Also gave the final exam questions ahead of time. Just be sure you know how to write, and pay attention in class (he's an engaging lecturer-makes 3 hours zoom by!). Cool guy too!

He is the best professor I have had this whole semester. He encourages participation and is interactive with his students. The tests are good because he always gives you all the information you need, the notes are the test. He is understanding and a very cheerful individual, his class is very engaging so time seems to fly by. AMAZING professor.

Professor Tim is one of the best professor in the History department of qcc. In HI127 he usually gives out 3 exams and a final. The exams are usually 2 essay questions from which he only picks one. The essay questions are given 2 weeks ahead of the exam. Go to class take notes and you will get an "A".

Okay, so there are 3 in class exams and he drops the lowest grade and there's a mandatory final. He's pretty harsh on the grading of essays. You would think you got a 95 on an essay and you get it back and it's like an 80, which is very annoying. As for his lectures, they're great; he's hilarious and very nice. You're allowed only 4 absences.

Amicable personality, engaging lectures, tells a lot of funny stories. If you're good at writing and like history, then Keogh's going to be an easy A for you. In my opinion, he makes it very clear what he expects on each essay, but a lot students still find him difficult. So if writing isn't your thing, look elsewhere.

He does give you exactly what the test will be on, but you will still end up with a average grade because he isn't very clear on what he wants written or to be mentioned in your writing. 6 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final (Tests & quizzes are essay based)

Currently taking this class. Don't get me wrong this is a great class. He's very engaging and explains his lessons very well. HOWEVER, he is an extremely hard grader. He expects WAY more than you think on his essay tests. I mean I gave so many examples and yet I still managed to get a B. And it doesn't help that all his exams are essay based.

Professor Keogh gives detailed power points and always tells you what he expects from you on the exam. He was always available for extra help during his office hours which I always did before every exam. The lectures are always clear and hilarious and if you study for the essay based tests you will be fine.

Great professor, the only history teacher to actually make history great. Will definitely make you laugh and want to listen to more. But be ready for having a quiz every week, but they're so easy just make sure you study what he gives you to review. Very anal on details though, will want you to understand specific details.

Love him. You do have to work for your grade but he gives you all the tools to make it easy on you. Take good notes. Theres a lot of writing in his class. His quizzes are short answers and his midterms and finals are essays & short answers. But his lectures are great and he's super funny. Helps you outside of class and is just one of the best prof.

Timothy Keogh is a real GEM, I am truly happy I chose him as my History Professor. We had a quiz every week ( you are given the question 1 week before) answer it before class and re-write it in class. There is a fair amount of reading. Participation does matter. He allows you to revise papers but not the quizes. 3 papers total 4-5 pages long.

Professor Keogh is an amazing person inside and outside of class. His lectures are never boring and he is very hilarious. The only homework is to read from the textbook. The textbook is free and provided online. There are 4 in class essay exams given. As long as you pay attention, come to class and write notes you will get an A. Overall excellent!

I really loved having this professor. our class had 4 tests, which he would give us the template for. he gives two questions and ideas of what to write about.. on the day of the test, one of these two questions are chosen and you must write an essay. he made history interesting and related most things to today's events.

He's a funny and quite a laidback professor. He's great at explaining the content. There's a quiz every week but theyre very easy if you read the readings; he uploads the pdf for textbook so its FREE. He gives review sheets with the exact essay question for the test so its definitely an easy class.

I loved this class. He is really good at explaining everything. He's jokes are so funny. If I could I would take another class with him but this is my last semester. I wish I knew about him before. Easy class, just study the term words for quizzes and you'll pass them. He gives only two exams during the semester and dose offer extra credit.

Awesome professor! Took this class as writing intensive but it wasn't that bad. His lectures are clear to understand. Pay attention and follow his instructions for the weekly essays and quizzes and you'll do great. I scored perfect on every essay, just follow his instructions and you'll be fine. He gives 3 papers and weekly assignments. Just do your weekly assignments on time and hand in your PAPER ON TIME and you will pass. His weekly assignments are easy, he practically gives you the answer for them at the end of class. For his papers, he allows many revisions only if you hand them in on time. He does not care a lot about attendance!

I took him for HIST 127 and HIST 128. It was asynchronous. Every week there is a short essay 300-500 words and a short quiz. Its an easy class, the answers are in the lectures and the reading. No real tests just the short essay and quiz. At the end the final is basically a question you already asnwered so you could use back an old essay.

Fantastic courses. He tells you there are a lot of papers up front but they aren't difficult at all. If you pay attention to the lectures he literally tells you how to write your papers, what he wants to see, and how he will grade it. He's very charismatic and I learned so much. Would take all of his classes if they fit my schedule.

Incredibly nice and great at his job. He really makes the class so interesting and makes class so enjoyable. Be aware that you need to submit your assignments on time because he does not take late work but if you do your work and come to class you will definitely get an A or above bc he makes it easy for you! and you'll have a great time! :)

I've been at QCC for 2 years this is by far the best professor I've ever had. His lectures are entertaining and he keeps you engaged. Yes they're are weekly assignments but as long as you come to class you pretty much complete the assignments there. Honestly wish I found him sooner would 100% take another class.

In my entire life I have genuinely never seen a teacher actually care so much about each student regardless of their prior knowledge in the subject. Even at my previous 4 year institution, I was not able to come across a professor like this. Truly a gem of a teacher and human being.

This professor is beyond helpful. It doesn't matter if you dont know a single thing about history prior to taking his class, you will leave with a plethora of knowledge at the end of the semester. He grades very well and is very articulate during lectures. Never once was I bored by a lecture. He cares for each one of his student's wellbeing.

GREATEST professor I've genuinely taken. A lot of people assume that history is boring and repetitive, but trust me when I say that that is the exact opposite of what this class is. Professor Keogh made the lectures a breeze and condensed it to make the material as easy to understand as possible for everyone. The HW is very minimal but effective!

An overall really good professor. The lectures and readings he provided us were very clear cut and easy to learn from. The workload he assigned to us was very generous. Only regret is taking this guy online because he seems like he'd be a fun in person professor.
