His class is great and he tries his best to keep it interesting. All of the work is easy but you need to go to class. He reviews before every test and gives extra credit. If he is teaching a class I need I make sure to take him.

Great prof, tries to make the class interesting. DO THE MAPS-thats the only thing, make sure u know the maps cuz they count for a lot. Also work you ass off for the project, u get an A on it, u get an A in the class.

He has been my favorite teacher yet. He is so interesting, funny and fair. I didn't even have to take his final since i had an A average. I would recommend that anyone take him as a teacher.

He has a great sense of humor and an amazing command of the facts. You had better study for the map quizzes! Answers his email very quickly. I'll take his classes whenever I can.

This was my favorite class this summer. Prof Kidd is very nice and is really interesting. I really liked the stuff about food and culture.

I thought I would not like this class but the professor made it really interesting. He really loves geography and knows his stuff. Tests are not too hard but a little tricky so take good notes. He's a sweetheart too who is easy going and I agree that he is funny.

I took his class a while ago, but he still stands out as a good teacher in my mind. Very helpful, very clear, and his requirements are fair. He's also very enthusiastic about his subject.

I LOVE this guy! He is hilarious! He makes class so interesting. I have never not wanted to go to class. He is very organized & clear on everything. 3 Mult. Choice tests, and 2 small papers. Don't need the book at all. Just study your notes & its easy to get an "A". TAKE HIM!! It'll be one of the best classes you'll ever have!

Fantastic professor! He's fair, funny, and very nice. He gives you a lot of information but he makes it interesting. Tests are mostly MC and not too brutal and 4 map quizzes. If you don't like him, you're probably a jerk.

Good class and a fun, laid back professor. He does not take attendance but trust me you will get killed (like i did on one) on the exams if you miss classes. He gives extra credit for eating out at some places. Highly reccomended.

If you have to take geography, try to get him. He's great! You can tell he really loves his subject.

You have to go to his lectures to do well. Can get a little cocky but he is very funny. Be ready to take notes.

I enjoyed this class. As long as you go to each lecture and take good notes, you'll do well. Study for map quizzes! If you see that you dont know any of the test/quiz answers, wait for the make-up day. He makes it interesting though.

I went from F to A on tests because he went out of his way to help me. Looking pretty cute in his kilt too!

Nice and adorable guy. 4 map quizes (easiest part of the class).Be prepared to take notes! and the better u take, the better u do on tests,which aren't the easiest.Know ur material.He doesn't write out his notes so u have to listen! don't miss class cuz some stuff he covers isn't in the book.Don't even buy the book, it's a waste. he doesn't use it.

Pretty easy class as long as you take notes. Really do not need the book. Class consists of 3 tests, 4 map quizzes, a paper, and 2 homework assignments in which he uses as "attendance." Overall, pretty easy!

Way better class than I figured and i totally aced it. I took loads of notes and read the book. The book actually helped me a lot. He does use lots of his own examples for stuff and you can bank on seeing them on tests-easy. Quizzes are easy. Wish I could take him for another class.

He could kick that Jennings guy's butt in Jeopardy. Good at tying current events into class. Agree with the others about notes. If you aren't a good note person u will be in trouble. LOTS of notes but the material is not hard. Likeable guy, good lecturer too.

I thought this teacher was great; really knew his subject. Doesn't use the book very much if at all, even in his 451 European Geography class, which I also took at the same time. A few projects, hardly any homework, and makes class interesting. Recommended.

He grades fair, is funny, gives great slide slow notes, and gives extra credit.

Fairly easy class. Took it summer 07. 12 page paper, 4 map quizzes, mid term and a final. Gives good study guides and he usually makes class fun.

Not only does he love the subject, he is a great teacher. Well informed. Take good notes and you will pass with flying colors.

This was a good class. Slides are just an outline. Write down the things he says during class and you'll do great on the tests.

This class was very interesting. It has turned on a few lightbulbs as he is one of the funniest and informative professors at ODU. I was impressed with his notes as they were lengthy, but he only tests on the material covered in the powerpints that he puts online. Attendance and the text is NOT mandatory, except you must attend all 3 tests.

Great teacher. Very open and helpful. If you attend his class and study for the exams you will do fine.

Easy class, funny guy, kind of arrogant. Lecture-hall class. I attend every class and his biased examples ALWAYS avoid a certain region in the world. I'm from this region so maybe I notice it while others don't. He's everyone else's cup of tea but not mine. Unlike the others, I do recommend buying the book, but I love geography (IS major).

4 quizzes. 3 tests. Tests are worth 25% though! so you have to studyyy! Most of the material is on the notes. the class is easy but don't not study because you think it is too easy. Extra credit oppurtunities available though.

Just didn't like this guy. Country boy from Alabama and clearly gets excited about some regions of the world and clearly has a distaste for other regions. If you like to study world cultures, don't take a professor who is biased toward/against any culture. Overall the class was easy, but don't miss class as he tests from notes and videos.

I took Dr. Kidd for Spring Geography 412. The class material is not easy, but he is fair with his grading. I really enjoyed his class. I liked how he was funny during his lectures it made class bearable.

His classes are all amazingly easy. I've had him 4 times and I've managed an A everytime. If you've watched CNN for maybe a half an hour or heard of a thing called an Atlas you'll at least pull a B in his class. Take him. Anyone who says he's tough is a brain dead moron.

He was really easy and very lenient when it came to tests and quizzes. He allows for makeup time and is very approachable. His sense of humor is very good and makes class interesting. The book is really only necessary for the final.

He is the best teacher I have had at Thomas Nelson so far. Don't bother buying the book though test material is all from class notes. He makes it entertaining by being funny! I would def. take him again.

Mr. Kidd was an excellent professor. I was taking 2 geography calsses at the same time and used every bit of knowledge that I recieved in his class for the other one. TAKE NOTES!!! READ YOUR NOTES!!! if you do this, then you will be fine grasshopper! ^_^

Straight-forward kinda guy that hates people who are late. Can be boring and very picky on test/quiz questions though. Easy class, but I would recommend a different teacher.

He is a hilarious teacher, but you really have to pay attention to what he says. All the power points are online, but he mention things in class intentionally to benefit the people who show up. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an entertaining teach, but is also willing to read their notes for the test.

Prof Kidd is awesome. He's funny and straight forward. No useless readings or projects. Posts powerpoints and tests are straight from the study guides

He is a nice guy but class is pretty boring. Not him, but the material and slideshows are not very interesting. just writing notes all class and then quizes and tests on it. Make sure you figure out the dates of quizes and don't fail the first one. Alright teacher, boring class

He was my favorite teacher. Not many people can make a 3 hour class interesting. I must say I agreed with him on political issues, and that is part of why I enjoyed the class so much. I wish that he was teaching political geography at TNCC this semester. I would have signed up for it. Test do require you to study.

I had him for many Geography classes and he is an awesome professor. He is very funny and makes the subject interesting and enjoyable. He is easy going and very helpful. He is also very understanding and will try very hard to help his students out. Great professor. Truly one of my favorites.

He is a good professor. The class is pretty easy, its just a lot of memorization for his tests, but if you study the powerpoints and show up for some classes you will be fine. I would suggest taking him!

He's a good teacher, but his tests are really hard. Don't miss class and take notes!! So important to take notes when following along with the ppt. There is a few tests and one 10 page paper due for this class. He doesn't care if you miss class, but I don't think you can do well if you miss...

Cities of the World... his tests are so hard. There is so much to know for his tests and he gives broad and really long study "guides" out like a few days before the test. Not enough time to memorize everything. If you're good at memorization or hearing something once and never forgetting... then this class should be OK for you.

Pay attention and take notes. He gives hints on what you should know. There is a lot to memorize and his grading is fair.

Nice Teacher!! Map tests are the hardest part! He does give really broad and vague study guides, but if you follow them and give yourself time to study you will do well. He has a pretty dry sense of humor and doesn't care if you come to class. I would suggest you do go! You will miss a lot of "hints" if you don't! Pretty cool class too!

He has a dry sense of humor and the power points are torture! The map quizzes were outrageous! However, besides all of that he is nice and the other tests are pretty easy if you come to class and take notes. If you are good with remembering maps then you should do fine.

I love his dry sense of humor but since it was a class with different sites he used the powerpoint & sometimes it made the class soooooo boring especially when its an almost 3 hour class. Study the notes or do the study guide & you will do good on the test. The paper isn't too bad.

He has a very dry sense of humor. But overall a very nice guy who keeps up with current events. Most of the lectures is death by power point which he post online after class. Attendances isn't mandatory, put HIGHLY recommend. Most of the test question comes from his lectures. Text book reading is a must for an A in for this class.

I took my first class with him at TNCC. I took all my classes at ODU with him. Intelligent, loved his sense of humor. Loved every classes I took with him and did a paper on Liechtenstein. Would take any class with him in a hard beat. Awesome teacher.

Great Professor!! Glad he teaches GEOG 320 also so I can take him again. Just make sure you go to class, take lots of notes, and do the study guides for the tests. The questions come from the study guides. The map quizzes are not hard but you do have to memorize a lot of info so don't wait until the last minute. The class is very interesting!!

A lot of memorization is required for this class. By the end of the class he wants you to be as well versed as he is in Geography. He knows his stuff he's very nice and helpful, there's just a lot of memorization and studying required. Not an easy A.

Easy class, nice guy. Purely lecture. Enjoyed his dry sense of humor. Tests are high stakes (2 at 35% each) with a 12 pg essay and an article project. Yet tests are entirely manageable bc the questions are verbatim from study guides. By making flash cards with the study guides I got over 100% on both exams and I'm not even a geography major.

Professor Kidd is very easy, all of the test material comes from his power points and lecture so it is good to show up to class! The map quizzes are very easy since he makes it multiple choice but you still need to study where things are! He makes study guides for his test, study the guide and you will do just fine!

The class is fantastic and he keeps things interesting. Some people struggled, but that is a result of them just not taking notes or have any background information. 1010 would take class again.

Dr. Kidd is hilarious. He has a dry sense of humor but is always on point, which is good since the class was 3 hours. His map quizzes are brutal, study the random places, tests are easy IF you show up to class, and the final paper is tough but doable if you get an early start. If you need an upper level GEOG class don't hesitate to take Dr. Kidd.

Break out your flash cards! You will need to study for this class. Tests are pretty difficult and cover a lot of material. Make sure you take advantage of his study guides and prepare for a 10 page paper. It's possible to get an A, but you will have to work very hard.

Great class, really nice professor! Just use the study guides before tests and study them hard! My first test I didn't use the study guide and failed then my second test I studied the study guide and got an A, it will save your grade! Fairly easy class

Good professor, gives weekly Map Tests that are incredibly easy if you study for them. Barely used the textbook-- the questions he uses for tests come from his powerpoints in his lectures. So although he doesn't take attendance, attending the class is basically necessary if you want to succeed.

Super awesome teacher! Loved his classes. I took all my classes with him. One of my best professors. I would take his classes over again. Take notes pay attention to what he says extra credits are not in the books. If you miss class get the notes but it is your loss if you do not attend.

His tests are HARD. The study guides really help but there are so many little details that make it difficult to remember it all. However, he does offer extra credit and you can tel he wants you to pass. I took him online and managed.

I have taken this professor both online and in class and I have to say I enjoy both his lecture styles. His grading criteria is clearly laid out, He posts his lectures on black board, and he gives a study guide before every test. He also offers extra credit if you need the grade boost. The only way you will fail is if you don't do anything.

Best Professor ever! I love Kidd, he's such a cool professor. His class is not easy but if you go to the lectures and study you will be fine. He gives extra credits so take advantage of it. He is very laid back, and hilarious.

He takes relatively boring topics and makes them quite interesting. The class is not hard if you study before the tests. I actually enjoyed showing up. You don't need to take much notes because the power points are online. You don't need the book. You are actually going to learn a good bit. I would recommend the class. Really good professor.

Kidd is a great professor, tests are solid though and the study guides did not help me at all (but that could just be me, probably just is me) I wish I would have studied more because I'm sure I could have gotten an A. Definitely recommend, wish he taught all my classes.

One ten page paper, three tests taken with proctorU, and a few dbs. This was the best online class I've taken, and I've taken a lot. The material was clearly outlined and he provided study guides for the tests. You have to actually know the material to do well on the tests, imo. Only complaint is proctorU is creepy.

Being I took professor Kidd online, I didn't get to know his personality. Again, being an online class YOU WILL READ from the power points to the "lecture" notes to the book. What he gives as a study guide is just that, a guide. Some material may not even be on the test. Study the maps and pick ONE essay question to focus on for the test.

TAKE HIM. i have no interest in geography but he's so passionate about the subject that i enjoyed going to class. his notes are online so really just come to class to listen and write down the specific things he says he wants you to know. he gives you everything you need to be successful in his class. i would take him again!

I highly recommend Dr. Kidd! His class, Political Geography is so easy and there is no way that you would fail unless you really just don't care. The map tests are incredibly easy and he gives out a study guide each test but most importantly, the final is take home! There is one big paper and I highly suggest to not procrastinate on it.

Professor Kidd was a kind, funny professor. Three tests and 5+ map tests. Studying is critical to pass tests and map tests. Extra credit was offered a few times, which saved my grade because I am not a strong test taker.

This was my second time taking Professor Kidd, he was a really cool guy. There's a clear grading criteria, gives you a chance to take over a map test you did bad on and he offers extra credit. 3 tests (test 1, midterm and final), a 12 page paper, couple map tests - Just study his powerpoints and you'll do well!

i'd take dr. kidd again if i could. hes a nice guy and doesnt try to trick you. he gives you everything you need to succeed in his class.

3 exams & 1 paper. He does offer extra credit towards end of semester. Exams are difficult, but pay attention to the first exam so you know how he tests. He is very accessible out of class and responds right away!

Prof Kidd is AMAZING and this class was great to take. It's usually an in-person, but taking it online definitely wasn't a struggle. You're going to need to pay attention to the lectures, and I would definitely take notes on them too. The textbook wasn't a must for me personally, but it can be helpful. He'll always let you know what's to come.

Ive taken Prof Kidd three times now, once in person and two online. Such a cool guy. His lectures are extremely easy to comprehend. Hes very accommodating to his students and he cares a lot. Always willing to help. I highly recommend him for geography courses.

He was a great teacher! You will have map tests over the continents, but it is a lot easier than it seems. You have plenty of time to study them. You have PowerPoints every class, but all of the information is useful. If you pay attention and take notes (or not) then you will do great on the test! I would 100% take him in another class.

Professor Kidd is the best! He's an awesome teacher & you often don't know you're learning as much as you do. His classes are lecture heavy so if you're not there it'll be harder, but attendance isn't mandatory. He sends out study guides the week of the test and they are very accurate. The 4 map quizzes were the hardest part for me. Love his class!

I very much enjoyed taking Prof. Kidd. I loved the lectures and his personality. Be warned, he does mention things that are not on the slides, so be prepared to show up. Also, go over the study guides, they will help you a lot.

Absolutely loved Professor Kidd, he is quirky and loves this topic. Attendance is not mandatory, no textbooks required, he basically talks with a powerpoint. Quizzes are easy, tests are easy, and he gives extra credit towards the end of the semester. He provides study guides as well as quiz guides. 10/10 would recommend!

Don't hesitate to register for his class. Professor Kidd was really great. His class wasn't necessarily too hard either. Although he doesn't have an attendance policy, just attend class it won't hurt. He posts all his slide presentations. Learn the maps and study for the tests! At the end of the semester he gave extra credit, it was very easy.

In the first week he says textbooks are required but dont waste your money, I did not open it one time. He is really passionate about the topics and makes it fun to learn. All exams have study guides so you know exactly what you are walking in to.
