This class was super easy but kind of boring. The material was interesting to be but the way he presented it didn't stick very well. It was an easy A but I had a hard time coming to class.
This professor does not have a clear syllabus. He adds and takes away requirements on papers, and will take off MAJOR points if something is missing. Very sarcastic towards students in class as well.
Interesting class, but awful teacher... He teaches more about his opinion than actual sociology. Easy class though, which was good.
He seems like a great person! But not the greatest professor…
Great Professor awesome guy outside the classroom too if you get to know him.
It's a 100 level class but he treats it like it's 300. Everyone seems to get really frustrated with him. He tends to add things to study last minute for the tests. He adds a bunch of his own things that are unneeded and makes the class much more confusing than it needs to be.
I'm sure that he is a really great guy, but he CANNOT teach. It was hard to understand what he wanted us to know. He took a very long time to get to the point. He also have extra credit to people who got below a B on the midterm, but those who got above a B couldn't do anything about it. It seemed a little unfair to me.
As an non-traditional student (online student) my expectations as far as having a great rapport with professors are not at the top of my list. Mainly because as an online student you obviously do not have that physical personal connection. However, Professor Larkin not only encourage me but was extremely helpful in times when I needed it most!
Great guy
Dr. Larkin is an interesting character. He is definitely odd, but entertaining, and he knows what he is talking about. He has many Larkin-isms and isn't always super clear, but I still had a good experience being in his class. It wasn't too hard, I learned a bit about sociology, and his IA's were very helpful.
He is not the best professor I have ever had. He is quite the character but can be long winded. He is very knowledgable but he struggles at teaching it to the class.
He is a passionate professor but his tests are super hard. Beware of the final, it screws students badly.
Larkin is hilarious and a very good sociology teacher. All his quizestests are open book except the final. The class is easy if you read and go to class.
He's a great professor and will help you if you need it. Pay attention to his lectures.
Dr. Larkin is a cool guy. This class is a gen. ed lecture, so the class gets very very long and boring, but basically you show up and get a grade. There are barely any assignments for this class, but because of that you need to take them seriously. Larkin also wrote the textbook, so attempted discussion becomes sometimes limited.
Although I would consider the class to be easy, it had its struggles. The quizzes are easy (they are open book/note), the lectures are long and pointless, and he can be a little scatter brained. Participation is a MUST, he is on top of it, he will take points off even if you leave early. He hands out A LOT of pointless articles and papers.
I love Dr. Larkin! Honestly, he is a great guy! Unless you really love sociology then the class might be a bit tough but if you go to class and try your best then you should do just fine. Racism and politics are brought up often so for the sake of everyone, keep your feelings to yourself. Participation & open book quizzes!
He was a great professor because his lectures were interesting and he gave clear grading criteria for assignments. I would highly recommend him.
He is a really funny teacher. He is as passionate as it gets for a teacher teaching a subject. He told us a lot of stories about his work so he really knows what he is talking about. He also tells you why you need to learn certain things in the class to relating to the real world.
He is a great guy! Just pay attention and you will do just fine.
He was very helpful and a great professor. Enjoyed his class, although somtimes it could drag since it was for an hour and a half each day. Very clear on what he wanted, willing to help you out if you have an unsatifactory grade at the end of the semester. Would take again.
There aren't any assignments other than quizzes and papers, so do well on those! He is a fairly tough grader on papers, but the quizzes are beyond easy.
Larkin is a very jolly professor who has many years of experience in his field and really talks from experience working in the field. His lectures are never dull and he can be really funny. He explains the concepts crystal clear and is willing to explain confusing concepts if needed. Larkin is a great professor that you should take if you are able.
He is great at teaching. The lectures keep you entertained. Participation and attendance are key to a good grade.
There is a lot of reading and writing for this class, even beyond the textbook. It takes a while to get a response through email, so ask questions after class. He is really busy, but he tries to help as much as he can. Overall, a fun professor, and you will pass if you do the work.
So frustrating when it came to lectures. Whether you had your hand up or not, you get called on. Get the answer wrong? He'll call you out on it. Lectures are incredibly boring, unless you're really into Sociology. Avoid!
Although Larkin is a good teacher, he is pretty tough. His classes were usually interesting, but his essays were hard. Quizzes are open note, but sometimes the answer isn't even in the book. Good person, but would not have him again as a teacher.
Professor Larkin is one of the funniest people on this Earth! He is so hilarious and has such a genuine love for humanity. I really didn't care much about sociology by any means but somehow he turned it into one of my favorite classes.
Dr. Larkin really entertains himself, but his lectures are kind of boring if you aren't particularly interested in sociology. He is a good professor. One thing I did not care for, though, is that he is one of those professors who does very little himself for grading and helping and sends you to the IA. But, he knows his stuff and is fair.
Dr. Larkin is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable in his field and enthusiastic which makes for good lectures. There are a good amount of quizzes, but they are open not and open book and easy to pass. I'm not sure why he doesn't have better reviews than he does, he is a great and caring professor.
Dr. Larkin was awesome! He is the nicest guy. Be warned, he likes to talk so if you hate lectures, avoid his class. However, he explains things well, is organized, and loves his subject. There are only a few assignments though so get to know the grader well because they will make or break your grade!
Larkin is great! He's very interactive and makes a lecture-heavy class go by quickly. All quizzes are open note and open book. The papers will make up most of your grade but he is very clear about how he wants them written and makes it easy for you to get an A if you read the book and actually try.
WARNING: Final is worth 27% ( the final and last quiz is combined ( final 20%+ quiz 4 7%27%)) of your grade and he loves Trump, other than that this is a great class with a good prof! He makes it easy to pass with open note, open book quizzes but he does share his political beliefs, if you can get pass that there is nothing wrong with him.
Dr. Larkin is a great professor, he seems to cover all the material in class. To exceed, try your hardest on the papers. He only assigns 3 essays throughout his course and 4 open note quizzes. There is no midterm however, there are two parts to the final including one of the quizzes, which is open note.
His class was easily overall and kinda boring but I am not a sociology major. All the information was very clear and if he did not make sense you could go to his two IAs. The quizzes were very easy and you could use the textbook and notes because it was online. His final was very hard. I would take him if you need sociology as a credit.
Larkin is one of my favorites; hilarious, easy class, and an overall great guy. He's not shy in sharing his opinions on just about everything, but he always does it with a sense of humor. His quizzes are online and completely open note/book; the only hard part of this class was the memorization part of the final. Overall, HIGHLY recommend.
Larkin definitely is not shy about voicing opinions, but he does no in the least offensive way in my opinion. You can tell he is really passionate about what he is teaching, which helps make the topics a little more exciting and entertaining. His aid does all the grading, so its typically not too harsh.
His IA grades all his papers, response time when asking him questions ranges from 1-2 weeks. His lectures are boring and provide no information that clarifies anything in the textbook. He often gives vague instructions and i have learned more from the book than I have from any of his lectures.
A lot of papers, however, he walks you through the outline and gives good feedback. Fun projects and gives lectures peppered with jokes that make class fun. Dr. Larkin has a lot of real world experience that makes the material applicable. I am a psychology major and took Sociology 102 freshman year and took another course, he's that good.
Excellent Professor, He knows what he's talking about and finds a way to make his class interesting most of the time.
I personally did not like his teaching style and found the material he taught to be confusing. I got through this class with the help of other classmates
Boring lectures, easy open book quizzes, learned more from using the textbook than I did from his lectures. Decently easy A, overall average class.
3 small papers for the semester but he gives you everything you need to know and goes over the outline in class so you can go home and write! Great guy, loves God, and cares about people and the course he teaches.
Dr Larkin is amazingly funny! His lectures are entertaining and relevant, he does require a lot of reading, for a few essays and open book quizzes. He wrote the book and is super easy to read, at least much easier than the books GCU usually has to offer. Just be sure to turn in the essay, there's only about three so shouldn't be too bad.
Great funny teacher, easy class but IA wasn't good at all, didn't really respond and didnt really help.
I loved Professor Larkin! He came off strong at times, but he's just really passionate about sociology. He's very intelligent and he's very good at getting students involved in class discussions. He's also funny and open-minded! Getting an A in his class is simple: Show up and do your papers! Clear grading criteria and quizzes are open-notes!
Dr. Larkin is a very upbeat professor. He can be a little "wacky" and strongly opinionated at times, but if you can deal with that then take the class. Quizzes are open note (except one), papers are incredibly straightforward.
Dr. Larkin's is very challenging. If you do not read the material, you would not understand the discussion questions and the assignment. Dr. Larkin was extremely helpful in questions I had concerning the lesson. He is not afraid to tell you to re-read something or share his opinion. I respect that of him.
Dr. Larkin is one of those professor you will love being in class with. He is very funny and he is very passionate about what he is teaching. He makes class fun and you will watch a lot of videos, the test are open book and there is not a lot of homework. For the essays he goes over everything in class and will welcome any questions you may have.
This class is easy to get an A in. Dr. Larkin does a good job of going over the material, sometimes it can get boring but try to hang in there. Quizzes and the final exam are open book and the essays are straightforward and he will go over what is expected. Overall he is a great professor and a nice guy.
He's a great guy who really knows his stuff. Make sure to attend class and do the work and you'll get an easy A. Also, get him talking about the Clintons and Clinton cash. He'll take about 20 minutes in class ranting about it.
He is a VERY knowledgeable about the subject of sociology. He only has 4 quizzes and all are open note EXCEPT for the last one (which you need to study for because it's tough). He grades essays pretty easily. Only thing is he lectures pretty much all class, every class.
He is very experienced and passionate about his profession. He explained everything very well, and although this course does not relate to my major, I looked forward to going to his class every day.
This professor can be very funny! He depends a lot on the instructional assistant but will always leave you equipped. He prays for his students before examinations and all of the tests are open notes except for the fourth.
He is the most two-faced person I have ever met. He is super nice to the class as a whole, and a jerk when you talk to him individually. He does not care if you have things happening outside of his class. He tries to be funny in class, but you can see past his facade. He is zero help; pushes work off onto the I.A.'s.
He writes quizzes completely unfairly. We had to argue for a good hour before I gave up and accepted my fate as a failure after the quiz.
I found this professor to be condescending. His grading metric depending almost entirely on the students ability to memorize and recite from the textbook to which he is the author. Critical analysis will be rejected.
Dr. Larkin has 4 quizzes which are open notes except for the last one. He also offers extra credit.
He is a great teacher, however, I wasn't fond of the material that we learned about but that had nothing to do with him. 4 quizzes all but one are open book/notes. Very easy to get an A. Lots of essays. I did stop going to class and I have an A still. Would recommend makes lectures funny to make it manageable to sit through
He is very funny and interesting to listen to. Definitely reccomend.
He sure is a interesting teacher. It wasn't a horrible class, it wasn't my favorite either.. I wish I took it online.
He uses a textbook written by himself, and acts like he knows everything. He will not talk to students, and just sends them to the IAs. Would not recommend.
I reccomend Dr. Larkins class is you are good at taking notes and memorizing. The class is very lecture heavy but he tries to liven the mood by making jokes and engaging students with questions. The final is very difficult even though it is open note and open book. Read the textbook it will help!
Timothy is a controversial teacher he talks about many subjects that if taken personally can make someone upset. I personally loved his lectures he's super engaging with the class and really makes you think about topics. All he's quizzes are open notes, and he supplies sheets that help you for the quizzes. It's a fun class and not hard!
Dr. Larkin is a super fun professor and is very knowledgeable! He plays a lot of interesting documentaries in lecture and knows how to make the class more fun.
What a guy. Dr. Larkin's class is lecture heavy but it's not bad. He likes to make jokes to pass the time. Almost all quizzes are open book and open note. They are also easy graders on the essays.
I loved Dr. Larkin's class. He was very engaging and the class was not too difficult if you showed up to class and took notes. I loved his in class activities such as the documentaries and Youtube videos. If you want to laugh, take this class from Dr. Larkin. By far the best professor I have had.
Probably the worst teacher I have had yet. He is so rude and two faced, makes you feel like an idiot if you get something wrong. Acts like he is God's gift to the earth because of his degrees and who he is as a person. The class is based around the textbook that HE wrote... I want to do nothing but bash my head into a wall listening to him talk.
Dr. Larkin is very knowledgeable and respected. His lectures were boring, but in-class projects were interesting. Very participation heavy (frequent Socratics). He's not the most approachable in the classroom setting and can be intimidating, but he's a very caring person overall. Most tests are open note and he prays before each one.
He was very caring but I didnt show up for class like 5 times and he would always call on me for questions he knew I didn't know. I still respect and like him, he's a good professor
Dr. Larkin is amazing! You simply will not regret taking his class. Easy course, amazing lectures, knowledgeable God-fearing man. The papers are easy and the grading criteria is clear. He made the course extremely easy!
Dr. Larkin is knowledgeable and has a lot of field experience. Once you understand what he expects of you, it is smooth sailing. If you respect him, he respects you. He is approachable after class and works alongside you. Sometimes his lectures can go over his students' heads so sometimes you have to clarify with him or the IA after class.
He is the most sarcastic, undermining professor I have ever had. You cannot talk to him without him being rude and making it apparent that he does not care about your success. It is a bother for him to have to speak to his students. He is a terrible teacher in general as well as very political in the classroom. Do not take his course.
Hes very knowledgeable in his lectures and tries to make it fun for the class. However, he has a very difficult time giving clear directions of what to do. Ive had to redo an essay 3 different times and every time I meet up with him he forgets who I am. He gave me a 20% on the entire essay for not defining a term the way he wanted it.
Fabulous professor cause he cares that you take initiative in your learning and are engaged during class. He is laid back, but still wants you to succeed; he is extremely open and approachable. You can get by with skipping class here and there, but he does not post his PPTs so you miss all the note-taking, which is beneficial for the quizzes/papers
Larkin was a good professor. All quizzes and tests were open note/open book accept for the last one. Memorization test was the hardest, but he gave all the information you need to remember. Essays were bearable-just follow the rubrics and you should be fine. I would definitely take this class again.
Made it seem like sociology should be the center of of my work. He does his best to introduce the topics but grades the essays harshly and doesn't give points even when doctors note is given to SDS office. Lectures were fun and open notes quizzes and exams.
Dr. Larkin's class was one of the most enjoyable that I've taken at GCU. I really didn't want to have to take SOC102, but he was recommended to me by so many people and I actually ended up loving the class. Content is easy to understand, he grades easily, but fairly, and is very gracious about turning in late work.
Do not take this professor. He subbed for my SOC 102 class and was so rude. He kicked a girl out of class for not knowing an answer and he yelled at another girl for having a laptop out in class which is allowed. More than half of us wound up leaving because he was so rude and demeaning to us.
Literally horrible temperament, terrible temper. Grades super objectively. Avoid at all costs
Larkin is the best! He's briliant. He wrote the textbook so he knows what he's talking about. He's very passionate about sociology. Don't be scared of the negative reviews of him on here. If you act like an adult in his class, you will be fine! He's honestly the greatest prof I had at GCU, and he made sociology enjoyable for me. TAKE HIS CLASS!
Hated his class. The first day he disrespected me, and I don't tolerate that. He gives homework for things that won't even be graded, and if you don't finish it by the next class, he makes you leave the class. Holds "Socratic seminars" that are a waste of time. I don't recommend taking him!! All he did was talk about the Amish and making your bed.
Professor Larkin is seriously an all-around great professor. His class is fun to take, you learn a ton and you work for the grade you earn. I looked forward to his class because he always made things interesting and never wasted my time. The only thing was that sometimes assignment details were unclear but he was always willing to explain it.
Pretty lecture-heavy. Wrote the textbook himself, which is great for if you have any questions. Clearly passionate about sociology. However, tends to drone, and calls students out in front of the class, which is incredibly anxiety-inducing for someone who doesn't like publicly answering questions. Hard to reach out of class. Powerpoints accessible.
He has a bad temper and goes down rabbit holes during his lectures. He will talk about things you won't need to know. He gives in-person paper assignments that he won't grade, just busy work. If he does not like you, he will grade harder for your papers. The only good thing was his IA's were willing to help. Do not take him.
He literally wrote the textbook so he can be a little picky about our answers he makes it seem like we need to know all of this stuff even if we are not going into sociology which most of it we don't need to remember specific terms for. Idk it was overall just an average class I didn't hate it but I didn't enjoy it either
Good professor. Wrote the textbook that you use in class so clearly hes very qualified. Made lectures interesting and overall homework wasnt too hard.
Honestly a fantastic professor. Great and highly inspiring lectures. Not afraid to say his mind.
He was a good professor. I enjoyed his class and it made it better that he is passionate about what he is teaching his students. I would definitely attend class if you want to pass and read the textbook. He is engaged with his students. I recommend taking this professor.
First day I came to his class I was nervous about the kind of professor he was going to be but as the semester went on I found myself really enjoying the class. His lectures are very easy to follow and homework is minimal. His IA was good and it was obvious they both cared about Sociology and their students passing. Wish I could have him again!
I have respect for him. SOC102 was one of those easy A classes. He does tend to go on tangents, I just think he's a boomer with ADHD. You've heard of dad jokes get ready for grandpa jokes. He was a pretty understanding professor and he doesn't guilt-trip you about late assignments. If you can write well put together papers you'll be fine.
He is such a fun professor to be around. He uses personal experiences to make in-class topics more relatable. He likes to get to know his students by calling on them by name. His class isn't very difficult, but definitely make sure you show up to class because there are many in-class activities.
Fantastic professor, he was very engaging and made it super interesting and always gave a great christian worldview to sociology. If you are afraid to be called on and have your worldview tested this isnt the class for you, but if you want a class you actually learn and grow I highly recommend Larkin as a professor.
he's nice but the class is SO boring. whenever I'm there I pray I get sick so I can leave. i bs my way through class. he goes on rants that don't make sense. it's an easy A but you end up having to sit through the most boring lectures. if I could pass without showing up I would, but unfortunately, you have to show up to Ace the class. 4/10 reccomen
He is amazing! If you are at all interested in Sociology taking his class is the way to go. He is very worldly and has a lot of insight on current issues. Adored him.
Dr. Larkin is the best professor at GCU. Very lecture heavy, but clearly passionate about the subject and incorporates projects, videos, and stories to make class more interesting. Three papers, gives plenty of opportunity to redo work, his quizzes and the final are open book. There is one memorization quiz with answers given ahead of time.
This was not my favorite class or professor. I found him sort of boring and judgmental whenever we would have any sort of controversial discussion. He is really really nice guy but, I didn't like him as a teacher. He isn't the type that's super hardcore but, I heard of some students who felt they were treated unfairly. He is very knowledgabe
Highly recommend! The lectures can be long (but when are they not) however participation doesn't always matter. He does take home quizzes so the class isn't that hard. He is super nice and helpful with any questions/assignments.
Not my favorite class or professor. Larkin was not the worst but seemed very judgmental when we would talk about controversial topics. He is very knowledgeable but I feel like he used this to his advantage and sometimes made you feel dumb. I would not recommend him but if he's the only option, he isn't HORRIBLE.
This class is pretty easy since the quizzes are open note/open book, but Professor Larkin himself is not the best professor. He frequently assigns busy work that students must submit in order to get participation. However, he did offer extra credit for attending the last seminar, which was helpful. He's not the worst, but I wouldn't recommend.
While the class isn't the most difficult, the teacher can make a class. Professor Larkin gives very long lectures, and shows some questionable material in class. It's especially questionable since he teaches at a Christian University. Prof. Larkin, while he's not the worst, is NOT someone's class I'd take again.
Dr. Larkin is a goldmine of information. He is knowledgeable about the material and has lots of experience in his field. His lectures are dense with content, so be prepared to take lots of notes (which you can use on most tests/quizzes). I can tell that he wants his students to succeed both inside the classroom and out.
I like Dr. Larkin as a person, he's energetic. However, the papers were graded pretty harshly and the lectures were boring and unnecessary, but attendance was mandatory. Overall, I'd take him again because he's not bad, but he's not outstanding either.
Tests are open note and taken outside of class. Papers are graded extremely harshly. Lectures are crazy boring. It is an easy class but super boring and repetitive. Larkin is extremely knowledgable and tells great stories. Makes you bring paper copies of lots of things, so be ready to print. He is a nice dude but the class is not interesting.
Professor Larkin is very knowledgeable in his field of study and makes lectures interesting. All tests and quizzes are open note except for one at the end of the semester. Be ready for socratic seminars and being randomly called on in class. All that aside, he is an amazing professor and a nice guy overall.
Professor Larkin is a good professor. He is very helpful and caring. His class can get quite uncomfortable at times because of the topics that are talked about in lectures, for me at least being a person of color. Other than that, the class was easy, you just had to do the work assigned.
Professor Larkin was fine. His lectures were sometimes boring and repetitive, but all of the work was really easy. As long as you actually completed the work in his class, the rest is easy. All of the papers are easy as long as you go to class to hear the instruction, and the tests are all open book and open note.
This class is easy but very boring and you have to attend lecture for participation points. All but one of the tests were open note and you can take it on your time outside of class including the final. In order to do good on papers you have to go to lecture to understand the criteria because it is different from the rubric.
Because of how politically driven his lectures are, you aren't going to get many unbiased reviews. So here is one. Professor Larkin is very knowledgeable about his subject. That being said, he can be very condescending to students who disagree with him. Overall, he was a good teacher and I wouldn't switch out of his class if you do get him.
Dr Larkin was just ok. His lectures were boring and he was very arrogant. 3 out of the 4 quizzes and the final exam were all taken online at each student's discretion, so at least the class was easy to pass.
Dr. Larkin is a very nice guy but some of the things he says are kinda odd and he can be alittle arrogant at times. His lectures are EXTREMELY boring and there are alot of inclass or out of class on paper assignmnets for participation. 3-4 huge essays total that were a PAIN to write. quizzes and final exams are online and open book except for one
Dr. Larkin is very nice and cares about his students. The class does get boring because you mostly just take notes, but its very easy if you go to class and turn everything in. All quizzes are online and not taken in class, except for one. Overall, the class was fine, I just didn't always look forward to going to class.
Professor Larkins was an amazing teacher !! He possesses an unparalleled passion for sociology that shines through in every lecture, discussion, and interaction. He was super compassionate towards his students. One of the things I appreciate the most from him was the makeup opportunities he granted his students. Pls consider taking his course :)
The good news - this class is so easy. The grading is in part determined by how hard your IA grades. All quizzes except for one are out of class and you can find all answers online in a Kahoot or Quizlet. The lectures are just so boring - he can be really opinionated - if you happen to get him grading a paper instead of an IA, he grades really hard
Professor Larkin is very nice and passionate about his job, which is good. He tends to get on a tangent sometimes and express his honest feelings about things, but otherwise, he is a great professor. The IAs were very helpful, and I suggest going to them for help and clarification. Be ready to take notes, listen, take a few quizzes and a test.
I'm not quite sure how to think of Dr Larkin. He is extremely knowledgeable about his subject but is so opinionated and goes on crazy rants about how much he hates Joe Biden and AI. It's very unprofessional. This is an easy class if you show up and listen to his instructions. He seems like he needs to retire, nice guy but lost his filter for sure.
The class is very easy but he lectures quite a bit. Most of the quizzes were take home and you could reference the book while taking them. Make sure to have the IA's look over your papers before submitting them as he is very strict on his grading. Overall, the class is extremely easy and his lectures are interesting.
Dr. Larkin is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. His opinions and worldview is clear but it doesn't take over his teaching or affect the class. If you show up to class and take notes you will be totally fine. I think he is a great, respectable professor, and I would definitely take him again.
He makes his opinions very obvious but doesn't try to argue with anyone. He calls out people and speaks about their ethnicity, and it makes the whole class uncomfortable. He also yells during his lectures in your face, but I think he is just very passionate. He definitely knows what he's teaching, but I personally wouldn't ever take him again.
Professor Larkin's lectures can be hit or miss, but his class is overall quite manageable. Engage with the material, and you'll do well. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for study prep - highly recommend giving it a try.
Don't take this class if you aren't a white republican. Very unprofessional. Thinks it's okay to scream at people that have different views.
Professor was fine very unorganized, the class was all over the place. My main issue was with the IA of his class. They are very rude and short with you when you ask simple clarifying questions.
Dr. Larkin is very opinionated. I know that he has a history of "speaking firmly" with students he disagrees with but there were a few times this semester where it was taken too far and became inappropriate. More on the class itself, it was basically an easy A as long as you did the work and showed up to class.
WHAT THE FOULLLLLLL EVEN WAS THIS CLASS
interesting guy
The assignments aren't hard but his instructions were usually confusing. As far as Dr. Larkin goes, I am not a fan. He has very strong political opinions that guide his class. The seminars made me wanna die, we would get asked our opinion then get told we were wrong if it didn't match his view. So much work for participation. I don't recommend
I dreaded this class all semester. The lectures were boring and unengaging. We had seminars every other week or so, we had to annotate a 10-20 page packet for PARTICIPATION, and he made people look dumb during them. The actual assignments are pretty easy. Wouldn't recommend if you aren't white, republican, and christian. Super opinionated guy.
The way Dr.Larkin teaches is confusing.Hes very harsh with participation. Hands out many papers.Only teaches about racism every class,so when it comes to quizzes I have no idea whats going on.I dread going to his class,he also yells. Was never clear with directions or assignments, gave a bunch of work that didnt even relate or teach about sociology.
