As if college isn't stressful enough but the fear of him destroying you in class is enough to lose a lot of sleep over.

I had a great time taking this class. I admitt that his class is hard, but if you want to be a serious accountant you need to be pushed.

Very hard course, but don't stress too much. The curve is a life saver!

Tests are extremely difficult. Must have better than B knowledge of the material to get a B in the class. Curved grades, homework due every day but usually not collected. Be ready to answer questions during class. He will help/advise outside of class.

He's hard, but he really prepares you and makes you learn the material. You are going to spend hours studying for this class, but you should be in college to learn. I believe I have been very prepared from being in his class. And if you have questions, ASK! He'll help!

Yeah, its really hard and requires a lot of time studying. But if your serious about accounting you'll be glad you had him. I think he's a very good prof.

Probably the hardest class you'll ever have. You will learn a lot if you work hard. If you want to do well on the tests plan on studying 3 or 4 days in advance and putting in about 15-30 hours. He's helpful if you go to office hours. But if you go you'll get called on more in class....

Extremely hard but the best damn teacher in the accounting department. If you want to learn the material for the CPA, take him. Plan on studying 2-3 hours for every hour in class. If you can do the problems at the end of the chapters, you will know where test questions are difficulty wise.

Well, this class is very hard but it is doable. he grades on a curve so if you are struggling, dont worry cause other people are too. good teacher but definitely not the best in the accounting dept. i dont think anyone would disagree that the best accounting prof. is Lee Nicholas by far :)

This is by far the hardest class in the program, and he teaches it well. If you pass the class, you will know the material inside out and sideways. He is a very hard teacher, but he is funny and personable, and always willing to spend time helping. The tests are extremely difficult, but doable. Study until you know the material and then study more.

Very hard class--you have to put a lot of hours into studying...and then will probably not do so well. However, he DOES grade on a curve, so that is helpful. He's an awesome prof and just wants us to know the material inside and out...

Although this is the hardest class I've ever taken, he is a great professor. Study study study....and expect do to poorly. The curve does help though!

These classes are hard but Lindquist isn's as bad as everyone says. Just go to class with your homework done and study HARD for every test and you should be able to get through.

Intermediate is the hardest class I have ever taken, but Lindquist does an excellant job teaching it. If you study hard you will be able to get through the class. I would recommend taking Lindquist because after the class you know your stuff and this will benefit you when it is time to take the CPA.

Awesome at teaching accounting, but the tests suck considering that you must work backwards, and it is not taught that way. Also, you must study 20 hours to get a C on a test. Enjoy not having a life at all!

Yes, Intermediate Accounting I is difficult like everyone else had said. But really, what did you expect, this is accounting. If you're looking for easy classes switch majors. Dr. Lindquist really knows his stuff and pushes you to fully understand it as well. I highly recommend Professor Lindquist if you have aspirations of becoming a CPA.

Lindquist is a VERY good professor. Everyone just needs to suck it up and stop complaining. Accounting is hard...and so is the CPA and an accounting career. If it was easy, everyone would do it. He teaches stuff clearly and though I am not a "favorite", I do not believe it impacts my grade either way.

He makes class fun and calls on everyone to get to know all the students. Many quizzes and attendance points are given, so you must go to class. He has 4 VERY hard tests, but you can drop your lowest score. Tough class. Demands about 8 hours a week outside of class

Great teacher! The class is definately challenging but its the weed out class for accounting so what do you expect. He is very helpful and comes up with funny stories to help you remember how to do things. Tests are very difficult and require you to know everything forwards and backward and require around 15 hours of studying.. Great Guy though!

Obviously these are weed out classes. That means they cannot be easy. If they were easy, accountants would get paid much less. He has to make it hard, but if you show him you are willing to put in the effort, he will help in any way he can. Advice: attend every class, it would be much more difficult to try learning it all on your own.

prepare to spend all of your time to do the homework and study for the exams. clear lecture but he tries to test on everything that you're supposed to know in the future.

He is easily one of my favorite teachers. He makes class fun. The tests are hard, but that is expected in intermediate. Highly suggest taking him.

Guy is fantastic!! Best teacher I've ever had at UNI. Makes a very difficult accounting course seem fun while at the same time really helps you learn accounting at an integrated level.

No doubt this is a hard class. I was about to give up the first month. But if you dedicate yourself to study more often and do practice problems you will start getting use to his quizzes and test.Read the book more than two times and make summaries until you totally understand everything.

LOVE HIM

He is by far one of my favorite professors at UNI. Intermediate II was a tough class but that's to be expected. I was actually bummed I didn't get the chance to take him for Inter I because he was out on sabbatical. He explains things really well and tests you in preparation for the real world. It's a hard class but you learn a lot! Love him!

Guy is absolutely awesome!! People think he's going to be scary and then you find out he's the most caring professor at UNI. And he is really funny!

This is one of the best Accounting teachers at University of Northern Iowa. He is brilliant and makes sure the students know the information. Very easy to approach. I had him for intermediate 1 and 2 and now will have him for Government and I can't wait that I will have taken every class he offers.

One of the best professors that I've had! He is very knowledgeable and wants you to know the information. He does make it extremely difficult tho, but it helps you prepare for the CPA. On a side note, interact with him as much as possible during class because he tends to pick favorites

Lindquist is by far the best professor in the College of Business. He is very helpful, and very approachable. People say he picks favorites, but I would argue that the people that say that are upset because they didn't get a good grade. You have to try hard in his class to get a good grade, unfortunately some people have to learn that the hard way!

You must come to class, expect a quiz everyday. He picks on everyone, prepare to answer questions. Prepare to devote 3 hours extra if not more per class.

Fantastic Professor! I don't think I have ever taken someone throughout my college career as passionate as Tim in teaching! He is very knowledgable. Exams are difficult, but practice makes perfect. Don't expect getting a good grade by not reading the chapter and not doing 20-30 practice problems. Accounting is a challenging major!

Lindquist is the best professor on campus, he genuinely cares about his student. Intermediate 1 and 2 and going to be harder then anything you have ever taken so be prepared to work really really really hard for a C. Its worth it tho... accounting $$$

Professor Lindquist is one of the hardest teachers I've ever had but also one of the fairest. He really cares about each and every student. You can't say that for all teachers.

You must be prepared for class every day. Make sure you have read the material and done the assigned homework before each class, you will have a quiz almost every day. Be prepared to talk and explain your logic. While he requires participation, it helps you understand the concepts better for the tests.

Lindquist is one of the best professors in the college of business. However, his tests are very difficult. You must know the material forward and backward in order to get at least a 70. However, he is willing to help you in his office hours. Would recommend taking him if you are planning to take the CPA Exam.

Lindquist is a very good professor. He cares about each and everyone of his students and is always available in his office if you need help. However, in order to get a decent grade in his class, you need to know everything forward and backward. So get ready to read each chapter at least 3 times, do 30+ problems, and not have a life at all.

Professor Lindquist did a fantastic job with this class- I was really afraid to take Intermediate Accounting because of everything that I'd heard but he made it doable and understandable. And it isn't like I got an A or B. He's very fair.

Professor Lindquist is one of the best and most intelligent professors at UNI. The material is difficult, but he provides clear applications and explanations in his lectures. Be prepared when you come to class for quizzes. If you don't get something, ask questions or visit him in his office hours. He will help you without question. Good luck.

Its kind of funny that these recent reviews suggest Professor Lindquist is the worst professor at UNI since he just won the outstanding professor award at UNI (1943 Teaching Excellence award). People that don't do the work always complain the most- This guy is awesome. And almost 1/2 the class were above a C for a final grade. Best teacher ever.

Lindquist is such a good professor! The coursework is moderately challenging, but it is totally doable if you read the book and make an honest effort on homework. Homework isn't graded, and there are a lot of quizzes with gimme points to boost your grade. Tests will be curved, and you will live. Take him!

Intermediate 1 & 2 are the hardest classes I've ever taken. But if you put the time into it, you will pass. Takes random attendance or pop quizzes and randomly calls on everyone in class to participate. Tests are tough, must know the material inside and out to do well. Challenging class but Lindquist makes sure you find out if accounting is for you

An awesome teacher & lectures can be entertaining too. Be on your toes bc hell call out students, but he truly cares whether you understand. Hes laid back and goofy rather than intimidating. Youll learn how the material truly truly applies to daily life - not just memorization and regurgitation. Very difficult class, but accounting is hard man.

Tim is a very challenging professor but so is the CPA Exam. He really makes you figure out if accounting is for you or not. Study hard and do lots of problems from the book and you you don,t know something just ask him he loves getting asked questions and loves helping students.

Guy is awesome. Dont believe the naysayers. They just couldnt hack it. Lindquist makes you work and he writes his own test questions so we cant cheat.

He is a very difficult professor and you need to consistently read and complete the before-class (ungraded) homework. He has pop quizzes more than 50% of classes. He calls on students regularly so you need to stay up to date on class material. He structures the class so you cannot get away with being lazy or slacking off and still passing.

Professor Lindquist expects a lot from his students and those that put in the effort are rewarded from his knowledge and expertise in the field. Not only did he help me with the class but he also helped me obtain THREE internships.
