Dr. Morton is an AA+ instructor.He makes his students step outside of the box.He also allows his class to voice their opinion.When it comes to educating students he isn't afraid to go where others are scared to go.I feel his class is 1 that all should take.If you don't you're missing a real treat.

His classes are very interesting and very fun. He himself has a little bit of a attitude problem, but if you ignore it and deal with it, you will enjoy the class

Doc. Tim Morton is awesome! Easy A!! Always works with the students not against them. His teaching style is very relaxed, he pushes you to the limit, makes you think, and makes it fun!!!

He is a fun teacher and his class is fun. As long as you participate and see's that you are going to class (he checks attendence every time).. it is an Easy A. No homework. Just read for midterm and final.

He is the coolest, most relaxed professor I ever had. It is a easy interesting class, You must attend every class. No homework, but you need to read the book for final and midterm. A MUST TAKE.

Coolest Prof!...just attend class every day and participate. Read the material for Midterm and Final, you should do okay. Lets us out an 1:30 early every time.

This guy is the SHXT. Class will be a lot of fun...PARTICIPATE in class and READ what is directly on the syllabus.

Whoever says he favors African Americans is a Dumba**. He favors us girls, but he is a GREAT guy to the whole class, just participate and you will do fine. He is THE best teacher at Wayne State, you are missing out if you don't take him. Tell him Amanda (The girl who talked too much in his saturday morning class) says hi!

I think he's open minded and opinionated. Makes class fun and I would take him again! And he's kinda hot!

Professor Morton is the best instructor I have had so far at Wayne State. I would take another one of his classes. Class participation is very important. I think every student should experience at least one of his classes. I could not wait to get to his class on M and W during his Spring/Summer class.

Professor Morton comes across as "tough", however, he is a very thoughtful and caring professor who enjoys his line of work.

Very great class, you just have to show up and participate a lot and you're set! Highly recommend this course especially if you need electives

Dr. Morton is a great teacher. He make you think and be open to new ideas and you have to listen and talk in his class. You have to study the number of pages and come on time to get a A in his class. You can talk to him about your grade and if you need help he is there. I would take his class. You will have fun and learn something.

One of the best teachers you'll ever have. Like others have said, intimidating at first but once you understand his personality and teaching style it's no big deal at all. Your grade is 25% attendance 25% participation (if you're not a participating type move on) 25% midterm and finally 25% final. No real homework.

This guy is a great teacher,you would never know he is a PhD.He cares about the students. A Jersey kid that grew up hard,but cares about people no matter what color or ethnic background you are.

Woundeful insight of a Man! Knows what he is talking about and brings you into the conversation. Dr Morton learns with you as the student thinks there way through the topics that are talked about in class.

At first Dr Morton was "brash", but further into the class he grew on me alot in a good way! He knows what he is talking about and gives you a chance to speak your mind. Dr Morton is a "asset" to WSU and should be a ten year... Im glad I took his class,I learned alot about my self and people around me.

First of all Dr. Morton reminds me of Denzel! Yes! He is an AMAZING teacher, I actually shed a tear on our last day of class. A must take!!

Dr Morton has a very different style of teaching were everybody learns! Doc is very smart and can get insid your head and show you another way to lookat life. Doc also has a bad a about him that is to die for!!!!!

ITS NOT AN EASY "A", THE CONVERSATON CENTERS AROUND THE READING OF THE BOOK! YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND GET INVOLVED IN THE CLASS DISCUSSION,IF YOU CAT DO THAT YOU SHOULD FAIL!!!

Lets say you have total control of what letter grade you get! If you keep an open mind you will do great,Doc is tough but wll give you the tooles you need to pass the class and do well in the real world. And Doc is very easy on the eyes, Hazel eyes Ahhhhhh !!!!

The only time wasted is signing up for another professors class. In DOCs classes your encouraged to practice your first amendment rights & not get reprimanded for having an honest opinion. You ask me DOCs brilliant. You learn being involved & become well rounded gaining different points of view. You wake up wanting to come to class.

Doc is awesome and one of the best teachers at Wayne State. He really knows his stuff. He cares about his students and wants them to get involved. Who ever made the comment about they learned more from the parking attendant then Doc's class is a moron and needs to stop skipping class to go talk to the parking attendant. Doc is THE BEST......!

DOC genuinely cares about your GPA and career progression. He motivates you to excel. He is Not like other professors, he respects you as his equal. He should be a 10 year, because he is an asset to WSU. DOC challenges students to have intellectual conversations on sensitive topics while maintaining respect towards differing views people have.

doc is such an amazin professor. his class is one you want to go to and enjoy. its like none other. no professor at wayne state is up to par compared to doc. the student is completely in control of their grade and you can speak freely without fear of being reprimended for having an honest opinion. if you havent taken docs class your missing out.

dr mortons class challenges your mind by makin you think for yourself & using your voice to express what you have learned. any other professor would act like they are above you & only their opinions matter, not doc its so differnt in this class. its like real talk, you talk about serious & factual material while maintaining respect for one another.

I really enjoyed Dr Morton?s class. He knows what he?s talking about and he?s down to earth too. I never appreciated this school until I took his class and was inspired by him to further my education and pursue a masters degree. If you can take a class with Dr Morton you should, it?s the best experience you will get being a student,dont miss out

this class is centered on group discussions, honest opinions, reading the book, and doc. doc is very credible with what he teaches and is so well rounded with how much knowledge he has to offer. his classes arent long enough, you leave wanting to hear and talk about more course material because its so interesting. we need more professors like doc

The best thing about taking dr Mortons class is freedom of speech. Being able to give your opinion. It was nice having a class where you can actually be real about what's on your mind and not worry about a professor that wants you to see it their way or your grade gets knocked down. I learned so much about other people just by seeing how different someone else can see or think about something. Dr morton motivates you to do well and gave me courage to talk in front of a group without fear.

awesome class bc of Dr. Morton otherwise not worth it. not an easy subject to talk about but there is a level of trust that allows you to open up & be honest & its bc Doc is so genuine. if you get anything less than an A/B its bc you didnt particapate or read. one smart prof that gets how a classroom works. never had a prof that cares like Doc.

Awesome class!! Professor's hysterical and well rounded. He is diverse and understands people of all walks of life. Students become involved and people can't help but Want to join in group discussion. I've never laughed so much in a class. Great class to take with the right professor and dr Morton is the best educator to walk the grounds of Wayne State. Don't miss out, take this class. Doc is a great professor! Take his class... You need to read the book for the exams. Class is all about class participation/discussion. Don't sugarcoat anything either, keep it real and he'll respect you. He is there to help you and cares about his students. Great class!

Doc is educated and street smart and that makes him dangerous. Rough look and knows what he is talking about, but wants you in the conversation. A must take,Doc is for the student.

I think Docote Morton is most concern about his students making a way for themselfs in this life we live. he is a LIFE LONG LEARNER and is very humble. He believes in team work for everyone to pass his classes, never leaving any student behind but every student crossing the finish line together.... Love you Doc!

At first I did not know what to think, but Doctor Morton taught me to look pass his gruff approuch and I learn so much from him about life. Doc was able to gain my trust, and kept his promise that I would learn and be able to teach others. He is a very good educator. I will remember Doctor Morton and how his teachings have touched my life!!

I WAS IN THAT CLASS WITH THE STUDENT WITH THE POOR ATTITUDE AGAINST DR MORTON.HER GRADE WAS A GIFT BY DR MORTON BECAUSE SHE KNEW NOTHING BUT HOW TO COMPLAIN! SHE IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR A STUDENT. Dr.Morton is out standing but if you cant handle his bluntness dont take the class. He really cares for the student.A student could not afford the 150.00$ book and Doc gave the student his book,I saw this with my own eyes.What other Adjucnt would do that.He guides the student from the start to the end of the class.Doc is a street kid that made it!!

Dr Morton helps the student that wants to help them self! If you dont want to help your self, don't take the class because Dr Morton is very to the point with tough love to give getting you to the next level of your education:) I have alot of RESPECT for Dr Morton.........

In marriage and intimate relationships I learned very little. I felt some of the topics were in extremely poor taste yet most seemed to enjoy the class. Overall I did learn more than I care to know about him, his daughter, his family history and his friends.

I agree! I was also was in that same class and Doc went by the book. If you knew more about the topic then you should not have took the class. Your a HATER !! Doc is a woundefull teacher!!!

Doctor Morton is awsome! I was in the same class above and Doc did go by the book. He was asked about his back ground and he said very little.I also know who you are and you should have drop the class because your a PRO at what the topics were,it must have hit a NERVE with You !!!

Doc is a teacher u need to have. He changed my perspective on marriage and race in America. He is very blunt, but the freedom of expression is seen in his class. Truly an asset to WSU. Dr. Morton is an excellent professor. He seems tough, but he has a huge heart and really cares about the well-being of his students. If you participate in his class, you're golden.

As much as Dr. Morton pushed me from my comfort zone I must say that I was sad when his class ended. Ive never had a professor I felt like I knew personally & have never looked forward to going to a class but for his, I did. He gives you every opportunity possible to get an A or B and is NOT out to bruise your Gpa. Definitely a professor to take.

Best professor I have ever had. Doc is a inspirational person and pushes his students but only because he truly cares. I've been lucky enough to take Doc twice, and wish I could again. Both times I was sad when the class was over and that is very rare for me! Attend class and be honest and real and you will do just fine. Best professor hands down.

This class is about RACE, and if you cant talk about it don't take the class ! Doc is outstanding!!! He makes you think outside the box and it dose not matter what color you are, he really cares about you and what you have to say. I have not even taken the final yet, but I know I will do well. Most of all I will take what I learned into the world.

Dr. Morton is great. I feel as though I am a better person just for taking his class. He goes out of his way to make sure students are doing well and grasping the ideas in class. What may at first feel like an abrasive approach to teaching, quickly becomes a style of education that shakes what you thought you knew and changes your outlook.

Doc is outstanding, he wants your outlook on relationships and marriage. Doc helps you think about what you want in a partner for the rest of your life. I am glad he is teaching this time at the Oakland Center in the early evening. Its a class that's a must take if you want a better look of were your going with your relationship............

Can't put Doc into words, he really cares about the students of all walks of life. I'm very happy to hear he is at the Oakland Center Spring/ Summer teaching Marriage and Family. The best prof at wsu thus far. Non-chauvinsitic, helps students understand the real world & helps students w future paths. Speak for 90& of the class when I say a chick (Elene) was out of line for speaking badly about doc. She should drop the class if she can't be openminded, diverse w culture & opinions. Doc is outstanding. An absolute must take.

Simply outstanding! It was an honor to be educated by such a brilliant individual of higher level education. Unfortunately, one caucasian women during lecture was toxic during my spring semester; however, she did not halt class engagement or depth of content during discussion. Would highly recommend this particular professor.

By FAR the best professor I have ever had in my life, not even just at WSU. He is very one on one with his students and genuinely cares about each one. Each class is exciting and interactive. I recommended everybody to take Doc as a professor.

He is honestly my favorite teacher i have ever had! He honestly cares about you and wants the best for you! had some of the best chats with him, and really the only reason i dont regret being in the honors college lol
