Excellent intstructor. Very intelligent, friendly, helpful, clear, understanding and an all around good person!

Mr. Murray is a great Ethics teacher and makes everything incredibly easy to understand. He likes to equate things to modern day politics which is fine with me.

he was a great professor. gives a lot of examples and makes sure you know the info. funny man also.easy class if you pay attention.

I really liked him. Explained terms and details. He really wanted you to understand what he was teaching. Good class discussions, didn't mind if you disagreed with him. Infact he encouraged it.

Has a love for ethics, but be prepared to write 15,000 words in his class. His test can be a little tricky too. All in all though he is a good teacher...For a Republican!!!...lol

This class is so easy. It is very well structured! Not the easiest Ethics course at SPC, but it is an easy "A" if you put in a little effort. You walk away knowing your stuff, that's for sure! Great teacher!!!

I wish there were more instructors like Mr. Murray. He is very understandable, and really is concerned about you getting something from his class. I can't say enough good things about him, and I tell everyone to take his class.

He is awesome. A lot of work but it's easy. Works good discussions into the lesson.

His a good teacher but the class was confusing. A lot of info too, make sure you study becuase if you don't you will fail. His test can be tricky because he will put some questions of the previous chapter you studied to see if you remember.

Mr. Murray is a fabulous instructor that sets the bar for the way teaching standards should be set. He teaches straight out of the text, and incorporates funny and correlating examples to better clarify the material. I would absolutely recommend his Applied Ethics courseto any student willing to sit down, take notes, & turn off your cell phone.

aww Mr. M is awesome! He is a very good teacher & makes learning ethics a not-so-painful thing to do. He has great enthusiasm when he teaches & he is funny too! I highly recommend him. He is a very calm guy and has nice character. I find this important! haha You definately don't have to write 15,000 words, more like 2,000 & even that was easy.

Excellent professor. no doubt about it. classmates who rated otherwise, do some work. Explains material in more than just average detail, may play devil's advocate to make a point on ethical lesson at hand ! Great, insightful, and caring professor.

Dr. Murray is a great instructor. He told us exactly what to write for our notes and what to study for the tests. Not much homework and pretty easy tests. The only issue I have is that he would not round my 89.6% grade up and I had to take the final exam to secure an A. Other than that he was awesome!!

A wonderful man. Fully explains all the concepts so just be quiet and listen. He is a professional and expects students to act like adults(what a concept).Very interesting class with an excellent teacher.

Mr. Murray is a great Ethics teacher. His tests are fairly easy. All you have to do is take notes and pay attention to the lecture. I find him entertaining and humorous. The hardest thing is the 2000 word essay and that is fairly easy. I give him an A++!

Mr. Murray was such a great teacher! He made ethics fun with his stories of his war with his neighbor over the "Fence" and overall was a great thing to see every tuesday and thursday morning at the lovely hour of 8 am! It's really easy to get an A in his class if you just take notes and listen..

I loved this class! I absolutely enjoyed going to this class, as much as I hated getting up early. This class is pretty basic, show up, respect the class and the teacher, do the work, and you will get an a. He was the only teacher I liked all semester and I'm glad I took his class. I would DEFINITELY recommend him.

Great class. Mr.Murray is a little boring at times but his summer class is a breeze!!! He's strict on attendance but the tests are multiple choice and straight from the notes. Just go to class and pay attention while he talks and you'll be fine :)

He is very very nice and I wish some of my fellow students hadn't been so dumb and/or disrespectful. Fortunately Mr. Murray taught them some respect. He is GREAT and deserves great students

He's a great teacher if you actually listen when he's talking and you're not rude or disrespectful. Easy A as long as you show up and do your work. Don't wait til the last minute on the application paper. You might not think he will, but he grades it really tough!

He is a great professor, easy to follow and his class is fun. The debates are interesting, but he maintains the order in class very well, like "raise your hand" and "only talk when is your turn!" He is methodic, but a very nice guy. His assignments are well explained and usually requires a lot of time if you plan to get an "A"! Highly recommend.

ethics blended express summer class. Earned A. Excellent instructor. Come 2 class; NO cells during class; raise hand 2 speak. He's no push over. grades easy on some things (he'll tell u "only need a good faith effort on this.") - harder on others (Ethics paper) I found him absolutely adorable & interesting. Refers 2 old movie & tv shows. Love him

This class is really easy and he goes over everything in class. The problem is that he treats people like they are still in grade school which is frustrating.

Loved the class (Ethics Express-Blended) and the teacher. He's very nice and as long as you come to class, do the work and put in some effort you will get an A. Made me interested in the class b/c he was. Would recomened taking his class to anyone.

Outstanding teacher. Demands excellence in a very positive manner. This is the class if you really want to get your money's worth out a required class. Nothing hard or difficult - take good notes, attend regularly and speak when it's your turn and you're called upon. This class is not a cake walk - it does make you think about things though.

if you show up for class and take his notes and study then at least twice you will do very well. His tests are 25 multiple choice always. and exactly from the notes. No tricks here. Very nice and interesting guy. I would HIGHLY recommend taking this class, makes you think about things. Don't forget to raise your hand though to speak!!!

Mr. Murray is a kind and funny teacher! He is caring as well. His class is simple as long as you read the book, take notes when he speaks, and ask questions. Study your notes a few days before the tests, and you'll do fine. For the big paper assignments, ask questions if needed, and try your best on those big paper assignments!

Professor Murray was an excellent instructor. He made the class fun and relevant and he always gave his students a very high level of respect. However, if you are looking for a teacher that lets you slack off, Mr. Murray is not the one.

His class is interesting and that is not something i would say about any other classes i have taken. He was not trying too hard like most teacher do. He says that his tests keep getting harder but i think they were very easy. Its an easy A and all you have to do is attend class and listen. Over all he is NICE! it is very hard to find nice anymore

good teacher! he keeps class interesting, dont really need a textbook he gives outlines on the board & just take notes. be on time & dont miss more than 4 classes. towards the end of the sem we dont do much. he lets you leave after tests & for the past 4 weeks we've gotten out atleast 30 min early. its pretty easyy. take him!

Professor Murray is the perfect ethics teacher. He displays no bias and allows each student to share their own opinion. His lectures are very clear and easy to take notes on. 5 tests (25 m/c), Critical Thinking Application Paper (2000 words required), original examples of logical fallacies, 5 web reports (easy), and a final exam on two chapters

He's makes it interesting b/c you can tell he's totally into it. His only demands are: raise your hand to speak and keep your cell phones OFF during class. Tests are multiple choice and EASY if you've read and taken notes during his lecture.

He is the best professor you could have for ethics applied. Always very clear in what needs to be done and will help you if you are confused. Very easy on grading. If you show up to class on time and do your work, you will get a good grade.

Wonderful ethics teacher...can sometimes put to sleep, but extremely clear on what is to be expected. Easy grading ! Just make sure you are on time and you turn your work in on time. I actually enjoyed our summer 2010 session!

please, give me a damn break mr.murray does a great job! if you are respectful show up on time take notes and please take notes because that`s where your grade letter lies. i would recommend him to anybody if u can not respect anyone do not take his class GREAT TEACHER!!!!!

Mr Murray is one of the best teachers that I have ever had. He is very nice and his lessons are so easy. You won't have to do much reading if you just pay attention, which isn't hard to do since he's so interesting. He's a great guy and a great teacher if you want to pass ethics...TAKE HIM!

I took his 8 week class, and learned that he has very strict in-class rules, as well as assignment expectations. They are not crazy expectations, but expectations for college students. Just show up, pay attention, do the CTAP, and you'll get an A. Great professor, I enjoyed his class very much, and I would definitely take him again!

Does a great job teaching. Does get a little boring at times but he will make it up by telling funny jokes. He doesn't ask for high expectations. Just don't miss more than 4 days, do your work, and turn cell phones off.

Mr.Murray is very strict but fair. he was very understanding when I became ill. So for all the people who didnt like him you were probably the ones with your cell phones on and late for class...great teacher if you want no nonsense teaching.

Excellent professor. Best I've had yet. He has an interest in the material and a level of dedication to the subject matter that can be contagious. You don't get the feeling of "Finally I'm done with this course" when you finish. It's more like "Hey, I actually learned something." He can be strict, but reasonably so. Excellent teacher.

Mr. Murray keeps his rules clear. When you are in class he expects you to turn your phone off, don't talk while he his and raise your hand. Only 5 web reports, 4 Test, and CTAP(2000 words) . Basically tells you what to study for. You have to study to pass his class! Finished class with a high B. Overall he is a good teacher. Take him!!!

This professor was absolutely amazing he was very clear on every assignment and there to help when asked he is a stickler for rules you must be on time and miss no more than six days raise your hand to speak those are his main rules other than that I guarantee you will love this professor

I failed this course the first time I attempted it, and after taking it again, this time with Mr. Murray, I understood the material and did exceedingly well on all of the tests. Really enjoyed attending Prof. Murray's course. He was very clear in his expectations and stood by them. Students with solid study habits and open communication will do well. Mr. Murray is definitely strict as far as his in class expectation, but mature adults should have no issues. Do not slack on studying for quizzes. Start your CTAP early.

This was my favorite class! Mr. Murray gives detailed notes and examples to prepare you for tests, reports, and any other assignments. Once you get past his rules speech, trust me, it will become your favorite class as well. Thanks Mr. Murray.

Professor Murray is a fantastic professor. He set's his class rules and then walks you through the course and if you stay focus you will pass. Just take notes and follow his lead and you will pass course. He is a no nonsense professor and you will learn lots in his class room.

super easy. graded on: 5 250 word internet article reviews, attendance, 4 tests, 4 essay question mid-term (not a CTAP paper and way easier)the mid term could be answered in about 200 words. Final is take home and can be completed early. Raally easy class. Finished homework for other classes during his class lectures.

Excellent teacher. Gave proper due to an interesting subject. Class was fun, interesting, and very well-structured. Easy with clear expectations for assignments but very informative. Critical thinking and respect for other viewpoints was encouraged in this class. I highly recommend Professor Murray's class to anyone who's interested in learning.

TAKE HIS CLASS! I didn't think I'd like ethics at all but he made it very interesting. He is the best professor I have ever had. He is very friendly, funny, & very helpful. Mr. Murray is serious about this subject and wants everyone to pass. Everything that will be on the test he gives in his lectures. Copy the notes from the board that he provides and you will succeed, its that simple.

TAKE THIS CLASS! He is fair and gives you everything you will need to pass his test. All notes he writes on board you just have to copy his notes study and pass. Simple. Follow the rules set by the syllabus and you will do Excellent. I havent been in a school since 1985 and got an A.

I took Mr. Murray for the summer and I definitely learned a lot. You don't just learn, you actually apply the knowledge to your everyday lives. Precisely explains everything you need to know to get an A in his class. HW is easy and the tests require some studying but not bad. Just show up for class, turn off your phone and things will go fine :)

Professor Murray is an excellent professor. Very professional and interesting. DO NOT think that he is kidding about the cell phone rule. Pay attention, take good notes and you will do fine. I would definitely recommend this professor to anyone.

Really good teacher, if you take good notes you will pass his tests. The only homework he gives are the reaction papers. Don't be afraid when he speaks about the C-Tap paper you will have to write, as long as you stick to the outline you will have no problem completing the paper.

Great professor is very fair READ THE SYLABUSS turn off your phone he does not tolerate that. expcet 5 web reports CTAP he helps you to write the paper format. I learned allot from this teacher he was my favorite. dont miss more than 6 days or you will be dropped. overall if you really want to learn and get a real college class this is the one.

Mr. Murray is a very good teacher! Although some of the subjects he talks about i was not educated on, so they didn't make much sense. He is a very good teacher, he sounds tough at the beginning but he'll warm up after like two or three weeks. He's very strict on his rules but he wants to make sure you actually learn something in his class.

A no-nonsense professor who tells you on day one what is expected of you and then holds you to the prescribed standards. Come to class, be respectful, do your assignments on time and you will have no issues.

He has strict rules, but as long as you obey by them, class should go by smooth. Everything written on the board is mainly what is on the tests. You must show up to class or else you will not learn important information. You must study for the tests because some questions are tricky. Otherwise, great professor.

Mr. Murray was fabulous. All he ever expects of you as a student is to be respectful, do not disturb your classmates, and be to class on time. This should not be hard, but for some students it apparently is. He is hilarious and presents the work in a clear, straight forward way. I adored him and wish I could take the class again.

He was a great professor! Passionate and very knowledgable about all topics which made it easy to learn and follow what he would teach. He talks A LOT and goes off topic every now and then so it could be hard to keep focus at times but if you stick to it, push through and just listen, you will do fine

Professor Murray is rather old fashioned in his ideals about teaching; he prefers lecture and writing assignments over anything else. The textbook is helpful to have, but he will most definitely explain everything you need in class. He is very clear about his disciplinary policy, so you're not likely to have a lot of disruptions. Take his classes!

Professor Murray is honestly a great professor who delivers the material well and is very understandable. He is old fashioned with his rules, but it is not a bad thing because it makes the environment in the classroom very easy to learn. His assignments are not hard if you just follow directions. 4 tests 2 essays 5 short essays.

Taking ethics with professor murray was a joy! He has clear cut strict rules, but they make for a better class and a more respected environment. Professor Murray was one of my favorite professors! I found his delivery of the information to be easy and fun to follow. I enjoyed learning in his class and was very successful when I applied myself. Come to class, participate, do your work and in my experience, I had an enjoyable experience.

He is strict but fair. You do not really need to buy the book. Easy B but you have to go to class.

Although he is rather old fashioned, Professor Murray is overall a great professor. His lectures are great and the examples he gives for the material is very helpful. The class is overall very interesting and a great class.

Best professor I have ever had!

Hes super funny and when the class participated the lectures were the highlight of the week. Its a super interesting course and he makes it super fun. There are few papers but they are easy to do and hes looking for a strong thought process not necessarily layout.

Professor Murray is by far one of my favorite teachers. His lectures are engaging and are very interesting. You have to have show up for his classes or you will not pass, so be aware of this. But overall, he is a great professor and is pretty funny! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to take an Ethics class!

Mr. Murray is an excellent professor who is perfect for the subjects which he teaches. He has strong social and political views, but he is extremely respectful of all views and his class is an open forum to discuss them within the parameters of the topic. Show up, take good notes of anything he writes on the board and follow his class rules.

By far my favorite professor at SPC. He cares so much about his lectures and it feels like an actual college with his style. I've learned so much in his class and I'll carry his info with me forever.
