Yes, let's all face it, Physics can be extremely difficult, even for the introductory material presented in this course, but if you put as much time into studying as is expected, you will take away a profound amount of knowledge and heightened problem solving skills! That said, be forewarned that this class is very analytical and detail-oriented.

This professor is by far the worst at this college. I took his class for physics, but I learned more about astronomy than anything else. He refuses to show us our actual grades and tells us we cannot receive any sort of outside help to better understand this class. It's his way of teaching or no way at all. Do not take any of his classes.

No exaggeration and not being rude towards anybody, but do not take him. Like even if you have to a certain semester or it is required for your degree. Either wait or take it at another school. It is very bad and nobody was left at the end of the class except 3 students. Mind you I don't think 2/3 passed. Just trust me. Talks about random things.

When you read ppl reviews, they say don't take him. THEY ARE NOT LYING. Seriously don't. Save yourself $ and time because he's terrible at teaching. He lectures abt stuff that doesn't even correlate to physics and more abt astronomy. Take another professor! you've been warned! this is a class u teach yourself to pass even though it is on campus.

Exams made by him. He is picky. You can give the correct answer, but If work is not shown, done correctly, or can't be read, he will minus points. Exams consist of 7-10 questions with multiple parts. When he does ex problem, does not show u small work he just does them. Calculators are needed but he never uses them. u learn nothing. hard class. bye

Doesnt help when you ask him to, any slight detail that isnt perfect will result in the assignment not being accepted. All of my group, myself included, dropped the class. Definitely choose a different professor if you can.

worst professor ever at mcc. This professor takes pride in students failing or dropping out of his class, and that is not the attitude a teach/professor/etc should ever have. Lecture has nothing to do with physics, and glosses over one example and spends 2 hours talking about NASA and astronomy. he laughs in your face if you're struggling.

Egotistical. He does not let students work out any questions on their own, rather he expects you to spend a minimum of 16 hours per week outside of your class studying, and working on problems from the textbook. Forget your other classes, right? Class consists of watching him work out problems while you copy his work. Who learns like that?

I spent about 12-15 hours a week studying. However, I feel like I did great education, and I would take him again for future physics courses.

He's eager to help, but you need to respect the classroom! Be prepared to self-study often, very little “homework” given which isn't formally due or graded. You have to hold yourself accountable.
