I learned to teach watching him
Dynamite professor. Depth of knowledge coupled with great personality
He is a great teacher, he knows what he is talking about, and helps everyone bring history alive through modern references.

Very SMART Man...enjoyed taking his class..
He makes history interesting and fun. He is funny and engaging.
Dr. T is a great lecturer! He is definitely the smartest and most knowledgeable person I know in the content. He makes you work, but it is worth it. I wish I could have taken more classes from him.
very good teacher
Dr. Thibodeau is definately one of my favorite professors, and I think it is extremely sad that most of the people in my class don't understand his humor, you poor, poor souls. Everyone should take a class with him, it's so worth it.
Smartest man i've ever met. I enjoy listening to his lectures.
He is the SMARTEST man alive! He seriously knows his stuff. He is one of the funniest professors at Naz and more people need to get his humor. The history majors definatly do :) I'm looking forward to more classes with him!
He's full of wit.
Incredibly monotone and unapproachable. Doesn't care about you as an individual. Very dry sense of humor. Reminds me of Ben Stein.
He's a funny guy with a dry sense of humor...he reminds me of Ben Stein
who is ben stein?
Great guy. The lectures are demanding sometimes for the attention and the brain, but overall I learned a lot and laughed just as much. And he DOES care about his students, he just isn't going to baby you.
Very nice man. He is funny and easygoing. He is a very good teacher and extremely willing to help his students. Everyone should take a class with him!
He is definitely one of my favorite teachers I've had at Naz. He's soooo funny and the tests are never on the reading, only on what he goes over in class, which is really nice. Class is never boring.
Great Teacher. Dr. Thibodeau is so funny. I have a class with him at 8:30 in the morning and i'm always wide awake for it. I recomend that everyone try to take a class with him. He's challenging but it's so worth it!
a great teacher, i enjoyed his humor. but i geuss not many other ppl do @ 8:30 in the morning. tests were pretty hard since they were all writing essays.
Dr. Thibodeau rocks! If you get the chance, definitely take a class from him!
Thibodeau is the best prof in the history department at Naz. He's very intelligent and loves to share his insight with his students. If you don't take your education seriously he will not take YOU seriously. If you act like an adult he will respect you as an adult. When old man Delveccio kicks it I wouldn't be surprised if Thibodeau takes over.
Absolutely brilliant man
I've taken 4 classes in a row the past 4 semesters with him, and he's been nothing but a really awesome teacher and just and all around smart guy...excellent teacher, with the dryest sense of humor and biting sarcasm, which makes history classes even more interesting
I can't say enough good things about Thibodeau. I hated history before I took this class. Now? I can't wait to take another one with him. He's SOOO interesting and has the best sense of humor. His class is the only one at Naz that I had perfect attendance. His tests can tend to be hard, but if you study for them, you're fine.
It is impossible to come up with all the great things a Thibodeau class has to offer! He is one of the most intelligent men on the planet and I would sell my soul to be half as smart as him. It's just a bonus that he happens to be one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! He has made me the historian I am and for that, I'm forever in his debt!!
An clearly intelligent guy - his lectures are somewhat meandering and he's overly eager to build parallels with WW2, Civil War, to make course material relevant. Basically a good professor, though seems to enjoy a better reputation than I believe his teaching alone merits. Nazareth has better, even within the department.

really nice guy. super smart, awesome teacher, and very helpful. he expects a lot but is so approachable if you need help.
He is a great professor! Very VERY smart, definitely knows what he is talking about. Very approachable. His tests are pretty tough, but if you study you will do fine.
He knows what he's talking about. But he goes a mile-a-minute after his syallbus says he wants us to understand the material and not race through it. I got a C- on both exams. I e-mailed him for extra help, and he tried to refer me to a peer tutor... It's HIS job to make sure we understand the stuff, not a tutor's.
horrible little man
really helpful with the final exam--had a long review on a sunday afternoon.
Never teaches 103; is like 6 ft 5; real challenge but makes it worth while
Wonderful professor. He makes you work hard, but you are more than proud of yourself when you complete the course. Also you have at the end learned so much information, which is delivered in an interesting and clever way.
Awesome guy, you just have to pay attention and read and there should be no problem. The tests are easy. I got above 90 on all of them
I hate history but he is an awesome teacher and made it very interesting. If you study you'll be fine on the tests. Everything is clear and predictable. I would definitely recommend taking a class from him. He's very funny and knows what he's talking about!
He's great but expects a lot from his students
hotttttt
// SO CREEPY!! Great prof. tho, hilarious, makes the classes interesting & fun, it's not "incense and windchimes" or anything but who likes that BS anyways?
Strong lecturer
He has a great sense of humor and makes his class interesting. Studying for tests is a must - a lot of content. Classes consist of lectures and note taking. He's willing to help those who want it. He's a good professor overall.
Dr. Thibodeau was the BEST History teacher I've ever had! Every lecture was fascinating and much more like a story than an actual history lesson. Definitely would recommend his class to anyone that needs to fulfill a history requirement!
so hawt
I've taken two history classes with him and he's my FAVORITE professor! He has a great sense of humor and is really laid back in the classroom. People like him are the reason I wanted to go into history. The tests are rather difficult and cover a lot of material, so be sure you do your readings!
Lectures are engaging. He makes a lot of jokes and the talks are informative. He is, on the other hand, arrogant to the point of obnoxious. Very smart, definitely knows it, and an air of superiority and condescension hangs on every word he says
VERY sarcastic, yes, but this class is dead! Like others in the dept. he forces you to think without babying you. Also--sits in his office and spends an hour with me helping me with my writing. Is that arrogant?
Dr. Thibodeau is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is very informed and keeps every class interesting and engaging. I would highly recommend taking a class with him, even if you are not into history. He will make you interested.
He is the best...easy to talk to and willing to help out ant student that needs help!love the the way he teach!easy to follow in class! what can I say he is the best!
Never had a teacher like this--never know what to expect for humor. John Stewart doing Greek history!
I loved Thibodeau. He's very knowledgeable and interested in his subject, and makes the class interested as well. He is very straight and to the point. He gives a GREAT study guide before the midterm and final exam. He is also pretty funny. Turns otherwise boring topics into interesting stories. Highly recommended him!
He is the brightest professor here at Nazareth College. My writing has greatly improved thanks to Dr. Thibodeau. He is super intelligent and helpful. His comments are often hilarious throughout class. This professor truly cares about his students and should be given a raise.
Dr. Thibodeau was my favorite professor at Naz. He's super smart, quick-witted, engaging and fair. He's also a published author and very well respected in his field. My concentration was American history (he teaches mostly European/Medieval studies) but I went out of my way to take his classes because they were challenging, enjoyable and inspiring.
Excellent professor. Very humorous and makes interesting analogies for each topic. He expects that you read and attend class (not too much to ask). If you do that then you will be more than prepared for exams (he also provides study guides). There is no excuse to not perform well. I would highly recommend Dr. T.
Dr. Thibodeau is the reason I became a history major at Naz. He is extremely witty, helpful and really makes history come alive. I will be forever grateful to this man for helping me grow into a better writer and historian. Thanks Thib!
outstanding professor! i absolutely loved his class, so much so that i selected my history P2 course so i could have him again. he is extremely intellegent and never loses flow of what he's saying. his classes are insightful and apply directly to tests. i even considered changing to a history major because of him! i recommend him to everyone!!
He is wonderful!! He is try helpful and soooo smart!
Best teacher I have ever had period. He knows his stuff, is no nonsense, and tells it like it is. He also teaches to the times by relating historical events to current events which is how history should be taught. I wish every teacher was like him.
Very great teacher. Is very hard on knowing the material, but is course is understandable if you take notes, pay attention, and do the readings. Very funny and great to listen too.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Would marry him if I could... love listening to him talk
One of the best lecturers I've had. Very funny and he does a good job at keeping students awake during 8am classes... He basically teaches through the use of modern analogies and this is extremely helpful. Very fair. No unit tests, only mid-term, final and 2-4 quizzes. Strongly recommend western civ. for a "P1".
Wonderful lecturer, uses modern analogiescomparisons to make the material easier to understand. Very funny as well, likes to make jokes during class and has a personality that makes it easy to learn. Not many quizzes, midterm is fair and grades are appropriate to amount of work put in. Would highly recommend to anyone. Definitely a good professor.
I adored this class! Thibodeau, pays attention to participation in and out of class. Take advantage of office hours. He only assigned three papers and a final. Read everything assigned and take notes that can be used in the papers. Attendance is important. Miss more than three classes and he will notice. Also, never show up late. Awesome Class!!
Was worried about the class originally because it does not seem to be that exciting. He makes it well worth your time. You can see the passion he has for teaching, every time you enter the room. Highly recommend. He's so funny.
Thibodeau is an amazing teacher that gives interesting and well-prepared presentations. This class is reading and writing intensive, made for students who want a challenge. Although you may not have to participate in class discussion, the classes you attend do affect your final grade. This course is great for students who love reading and writing.
LOVE him. never bored in his class! Very easy if you take lots of notes! Very nice!
Extremely funny! His humor makes it fun to learn and he often connects history to modern day events to make it easier to understand. He is very knowledgable and seems to be passionate. The class is easy if you take lots of good notes and study thoroughly before quizzes and the midterm/final. Thibodeau is the best professor I've ever had.
Awesome professor! Loved learning from his lectures and the books overall were very good. Papers are long to write but if you have heart for the subject or well at writing papers this class is for you!
He knows what he is talking about and is very good at relaying information to us in a way we will understand. The Midterm and the Final are the only two tests but as long as you prepare, you should be fine. There are also two quizzes that he tells you about far in advance and as long as you look at your notes to study, they are not bad.
Very funny man and makes the material interesting. There is never homework but you will have to take very good notes in his class. I made flashcards with the notes I took and got a B in the class. If you enjoy roman history take it with him!
Thibodeau is a great professor. He actually made me want to learn history. The only thing that makes his course difficult is that there are such few grades. If you weren't well prepared for the quizzes, you would not do well because they only have 10 questions in them.
Thibodeau clearly knows his stuff and cares about his students. He gives great lectures, but you really need to pay attention to what he says. The only grades are quizzes and tests so you need to take really good notes and study hard if you want to do good. He does a good job making history interesting for everyone and is overall a great professor.
Dr. T talks like the teacher from Ferris Bueller's day off but if you actually pay attention he is clearly passionate, knowledgeable, and frankly hilarious sometimes. PAY ATTENTION! He does not post lectures or material so you have to either read or take good notes. Dr. T is a tough but fair grader, so use his study guides before an exam.
Lectures wonderful or bad depending on the day, connects well with the reading sometimes of which you need to do to write the papers in which there is typically 3-5 that determine your grade. Need to learn what he wants to do well. If you don't get along with him, you won't with the department, he hired practically everyone, similar personalities.
A great professor. For papers, make sure to see him before turning it in. He is a tough grader, but if you read the books and see him, you will score well. His lectures are hilarious and he is a very nice professor.
Dr. Thibodeau is one of the best history professors here at Nazareth. He is lecture heavy but explains things in simple terms and relates ancient history to the modern world in relatable and relevant ways. he's also very funny and will crack jokes in class that are great. Very easy to do well if you attend class and pay attention.
Even though he sounds like the teach from Ferris Beuller's day off, he is very enthusiastic about the course. Definitely lecture heavy, and you have to take notes in class because he will not post them on his Moodle page ( however he will slow down or go back to a specific slide if asked.
Professor Thibodeau is a hard, but fair grader, with lecture heavy courses. Class assessment is in the form of graded papers we complete after reading textbooks. He can be humorous at times, and is generally good at relating past events to modern times. He intersects his often alienating political opinions into lectures too often for my taste.
My favorite professor! Textbook isn't really necessary. Lectures are amazing, but you NEED to take detailed notes if you want to do good on quizzes and tests- so attendance is important. Thibodeau is hilarious and is easy to get in touch with. If you show that you care, he'll appreciate it a lot. If you try and take notes, you'll do great!
For this class being a PEQ you would think it would be manageable but wrong he treats this level 100 class like it is a level 400 class he only grades you on quizs and the midterm and final so if you arent doing go mostly it wont end well I would not recommend taking a class with him!
My favorite professor of all time.
