He is an all around great teacher. He explains everything very thoroughly and if you don't quite get it he find a way to make it even easier to explain. The only down side is he a bit on a monotone. I had him for Math 98 and am going to be going back for Math 99

If you struggle with math, this is the professor you want. He's extremely clear in his lectures, he breaks down every problem step by step, and seems to have an infinite amount of patience. He will answer any questions you have clear and concise. Quizzes are typically short, tests are about twice as long. Uses MML for HW.

Took Precalculus with him. A little long on lectures with ample breaks in between. Wish I would've asked more questions prior to tests at the beginning of the semester. Very clear when explaining and if you miss anything he has no problem breaking it down more until everyone understands. Really wish he taught Calculus as well.

He may not be a comedian but he certainly keeps the atmosphere of the class friendly and light hearted. His teaching style with using a projector for visual add as we walk through each chapter together really makes a difference in learning. He always keeps his cool when explaining things to students, even if they're things we've already learned.

Tim is really helpful and will do everything to help you succeed. By far the best math teacher on campus. Really takes things step by step to make sure everything makes sense. i spent countless hours at his office hours and he never lost his patience and never made anyone feel stupid. Professor Trammel is by far my favorite professor. His lessons are easy to follow and understand. His choice of textbook is better than most professors. His teaching style is amazing as it allows for flexibility. He grades entirely on quizzes and exams. He is super nice and helpful. Oh and he's also eye candy!

Really cool and down to earth. As long as you have a goal he will help you reach it. I wanted to test into a math that required me to know material he didn't teach. Not only did he tell me the material to study, but he would go over it with me after class from time to time on his own time.

Great teacher! He is really clear! Just show up and take notes and you are sure to pass. He uses MyMathLab. (that is where the homework is). Quizzes every week, but short. 2-4 questions. Very willing to help and answer questions. Never touched the textbook! Just get the online one so you can get the course on MyMathLab.

Tim is a very kind and easygoing math teacher who explains everything very clearly. If you have a very hard time with math I highly recommend him. Also he only used My Math Lab, I have never even opened the textbook this whole class. Also he does these printout worksheets for every section, they are totally helpful and awesome. Great teacher.

Our class used ALEKS, which Tim said he will likely not be using again. It was a very harsh homework system that made me the best I've ever been at math. I used to be really happy w/ a C. He gives partial credit on incorrect test answers as long as you show your work. Has huge amount of patience and caring. Attnd is 7%, Hmwrk22%, tests43%, Fnl29%

Good lectures, he provides you with note sheets and you fill in the blanks. After the first couple weeks quizzes/tests every Monday. Gives good partial credit and offers extra credit. Attending lectures are important. Tim is very flexible if you have a conflict and overall a nice guy.

The lectures were always very clear and he would provide us with notes that we would fill in. There was homework after every lecture, but he always gave us 3-7 days to work on it. The tests weren't that hard, modeled after problems from the homework and the notes, so as long as you show up and pay attention, you'll do fine. Awesome teacher!!!!

Professor trammel had very engaging lectures. Each class he would hand out a worksheet that we would work through together for notes. he has a math lab assignment for almost every lesson but gives you a long time to complete them. he also drops 2 of the assignments. Best math teacher ever!

Tim is genuinely kind & respectful to his students. He is patient when answering questions and doesn't get annoyed if someone doesn't understand. Homework was online, quizzes were short, and exams are long but can really make a huge impact on your grade. He teaches us the material rather than just working the problem, which I appreciate so much!

He is the best math teacher that I've ever taken at Bellevue College. When I had trouble understanding materials, he would explain in different ways. He is very clear about class materials too. I went to his office hours and got a lot of help. I would take his class again and again. I hope he teaches higher math levels too.

Great choice, probably one of the easier teachers at bellevue college. He is likely the youngest teacher that I have met on campus. He's caring and understandable, which made taking his class a real pleasure. The only downside is when I took him in the spring of 2016, he assigned online homework. So if you can look past that he's a great professor.

Mr. Trammel was easy to understand and was a great teacher overall. Attendance was not mandatory, but you won't pass if you don't go to class. He gives a lot of homework, but for the benefit of practicing problems more. Textbook was optional, homework was graded online. I would definitely take him again!

Tim was an amazing instructor, he explained material very well, and showed different ways to do a problem. The homework is daily, so make sure you keep up. He was very laid back and very professional, i would definitely take him again for another math course.

He is very structured and organized. His lectures are very clear and concise. The notes that he provides on canvas are extremely helpful. If you miss class, just go to his notes. Do all the homework and listen to his lectures and you will do very well on the exams. I honestly wish he teaches all my classes. Best professor hands down.

Tim was by far the best math teacher I've ever had. This was the very first time in all of my education where I understood and did well in a math class. Tim was an amazing professor, i took math 099 with him and was an excellent choice. He explained things with different steps to show people different ways of solving a problem, though there is daily hw, he covers the material well. three test 6 quizzes and a final.

Three tests, with the lowest dropped. eight in class assignments. Lowest dropped. Take his math class, and you will not regret it.

Professor Trammel is really nice. Lectures are good and help you do homework. Tests are easy if you do the homework. They definitely test your knowledge, but aren't unbelievably hard. Just know the fundamentals. He's a very fair professor.

Tim is the only reason why I know the math I know. He writes up and prints out lecture outlines with all the stuff he will go over in class, you just copy what he does on the board. The best method I've ever encountered for learning math by lecture. He went slowly, and he was nothing but clear and concise. Take his class.

He teaches the best way possible. He uploads the lectures online and they are very clear and helpful. exams are reasonable and usually you won't be surprised. take him without a doubt and if you stick to the HW and class work you'll be good.

It doesnt get better than Tim!! No matter what your background of math is Timothy explains concepts in as many ways as needed to help you understand the material. Homework and worksheets are super helpful for tests. He comes prepared to class every day and provides you with a worksheet for the day. Hes easy to talk to if you ever have questions!

Tim was one of the best professors I have had. Took stats last quarter and loved it. He's just so kind and actually cares about you as a person. Loves to help you if you're struggling and catches you back up. Gave lots of extensions on homework. Tests weren't super easy but not too hard. Easy A if you show up and do the work.

Professor Trammel's explanations of the material are extremely easy to understand, and he is very responsive to student questions. If anything, the pace was a little slow. However, I don't know if I am the best judge of this since I had prior knowledge of differential equations.

Tim can take math and break it down so simplistically that the concepts stick. He is very well prepared, and plans his lessons meticulously. He has worksheets everyone works through with him in class, and it makes notetaking easier/not needed because you have a full lesson plan to keep.

Trammel is easily one of the best math teachers I have ever had. His lectures are among the best, very detailed and goes in depth into any places you may have a confusion in. HE is easily accessible outside of class and can help with anything ranging from the final exam to hw. His homework load is the usual assigned online.

Timothy is the entire reason I know math today. I took only him for all his math classes offered at Bellevue College and I'm honestly sad he doesnt teach higher level. He gives handouts for his lectures that you fill in along with him, which was absolutely essential for my learning. His teaching style for math is perfect if math isnt your strength.

I was dreading taking taking calc online due to Covid, but he made it so smooth. Out of all my math classes in high school including the in-person ones, this was still the best math class I've taken. He's an amazing teacher who puts you first and is willing to be flexible and accommodate you if something comes up where you can't complete the hw.

Really nice guy and the class is easy. He won't put any of the tougher stuff on tests. There isn't proctoring so you can use notes or whatever if you need to on assignments. He is really flexible on due dates and expectations, so if you end up needing to turn in things late or have to do stuff when you get the chance, it isn't a big deal.

Really good professor. Took his online class due to Covid. Really cares about his students and provides good feedback. Simplifies math so it is easy to understand. Only qualm is that he requires you to do weekly "participation checks." Just a bunch of busy work.

Best math teacher I ever took. He only has 2-3 assignments a week that are super manageable. Pretty easy grader and he provides helpful videos to watch for homework problems. If you watch the videos, you can easily get an A.

He is a fantastic teacher. He allows for unlimited attempts at the homework. Generally I would spend some time watching the lectures and then I would get into the homework. If I didn't understand a problem I would click on the "show me how to do it" and work through it. Practice Tests are harder than the exam. Excellent teacher overall

3 times I have taken him and all 3 times have been phenomenal. He grades amazing, willing to help you on anything if you ask, takes time to teach and help outside of class, young and knows how to use technology to teach. Great tests (middle test is the hardest).I hope I can get him again, don't want to do math if its not him teaching.

I learned so much in this class, even during Covid. The professor was great, lectures were helpful and clear, we went over homework problems in class and material on tests was related to assignments. Lots of opportunity to ask questions, and extra credit was available.

Guided notes make it impossible to miss info, office hours are super helpful with homework, and calculus seems less scary now! It takes a little bit to get tests graded and back, and test grading is a little black and white, but you are thoroughly prepared for tests!

I took a daily zoom class and Tim was very considerate and answered questions clearly. The only thing you need to worry about are the exams, there are 3 exams and a final, but the study guides he provides are exactly what will be on the exam. Not much homework, normally just 2 WAMAP assignments and a discussion board post each week. One of the best

Honestly, this professor has optimized this class to be as painless as possible, for what it is(calculus). He does great lectures, he is very kind and relaxed, and he treats the students with such respect, it makes it easy to ask questions even if you think you're wrong/stupid. I think anyone would be set up for success with this one.

Teaches really well and is really good at explaining if you're confused about something. If you miss an assignment he will let you make it up and the tests are really similar to work done in class or on homework.

I was absolutely terrified of taking this class, but it was so much better than I could have ever hoped for. Mr. Trammel made learning calculus fun and easy. There were three tests (one of them a cumulative final). To study, do all the homework assignments (which take a while, but are graded easy) for that section at least twice and you will ace it

Tim is a great teacher that is very understanding and helpful. He gives many extra credit opportunities that go into the test category and significantly help your grade. There are 2 tests and a final which are pretty difficult, but if you do the homework and the practice tests he provides, you should succeed. Definitely reccomend this teacher.

I had Tim for both Math 142 and Math 151. He is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He has a very clear and concise way of teaching and I always felt comfortable asking questions about topics I was confused on. Also, the course was very organized. He provides exam reviews as well as exams from past quarters for studying.

Stats is not for the faint of heart. The only thing that got me through was Timmy T's statistics, yeah! rap and Prof. Trammel's office hours. He is kind, but as someone else said on this page, stats is a brutal concept and can be hard to grasp. Nevertheless, Trammel wants you to succeed and is very helpful. 3 exams, 1 final. 19 hw assignments.

Honestly one of the best professors I have ever had!!!I took two classes from him one online and one in person and I personally prefer the in-person class! He was very nice and very helpful with questions about homework, he has office hours before class that help a lot. His homework is a bit challenging at times but he will help you if you are stuck and try to go over everything in class with potential places you could get stuck on the homework. Would take again!!

I have never enjoyed math until taking statistics with Professor Trammel. His instruction was a perfect pace, and he always stopped to answer questions, and was incredibly thorough and helpful. He provided study guides before every test and those were great. I learned a ton, but wasn't super stressed out the whole quarter. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed taking Tims math class. He is super patient and always willing to take time explaining course content so you don't feel rushed. He has really good test reviews that actually are similar to the exams, and doesn't overload you with homework. I took statistics before and was really discouraged, but Tims class showed me otherwise.

I am taking Math 146 at Shoreline College this summer. I wish more teachers like him, allowing us to learn in a stress-free environment. This course doesn't have much reading and is very easy to pass with a high grade. Although I am a student from China and my English is not very good, taking his class has been perfect and without pressure.

Professor Trammel was absolutely amazing! Im so glad I chose him as my professor. He's easy to talk to if you have questions or just want to talk. He's really good at explaining math and if you don't understand concepts, will walk you through it step by step. About 2 assignments per week. Overall, he made math something I looked forward to.

Attendance is taken at the beginning of every class; showing up matters. The professor is very kind and patient with students and has no issue explaining concepts multiple times. He truly wants everyone to succeed in this course. He does not deduct points for late homework assignments. Lectures and homework assignments reflect the exam material.

This man is the goat. hes the chillest dude ever. The penalty on a late assignment is only 1% off, but he will still gladly take the penalty away if you ask him too.

Amazing teacher. One of my favorite teachers of all time. He always provided support during office hours everyday, he was always understanding when you were having issues with the assignments and needed an extension. He was one of those teachers who you legitimately thought wanted to help you and wanted you to succeed.

Tim was one of the best teachers I have ever had, very caring and amazing teacher. There is quite a bit of online homework but it's doable and he allows extensions. There are 3 exams over the units and a final. He offers 2 extra credits which are worth 10 points each added to the exam category. Good at explaining and easy to contact.

Extremely nice guy, never saw him without a smile on his face during class and was always more than willing to help with learning. Only problem is that majority of your grade is based of 3 exams and a final. Final exam was only 15 questions that added up to 140 points. Material is fairly easy to understand otherwise.

Tim was amazing overall! There was a lot of homework but I heavily benefited from completing it. There's no late policy on homework. Although attendance is mandatory because it's very important to be there for all the lectures as there's constantly new material. Exams are hard but utilize all the study guides given to you and you'll do great!

Accepts late homework without any point deductions. If students don't understand something, he spends extra time in class explaining it. Very good at explaining confusing concepts.

Professor Trammel is probably my favorite professor at BC. He is very willing to go into more detail when students are confused and makes sure everyone feels welcome. He prepared everyone for the tests but they are a big part of your grade. He lets you make a notecard for the final exam but not any of the other tests. 10/10 would recommend!

Tim is a very nice, easygoing professor. He takes the time to ensure the class adequately understands the chapter, going in-depth on the material during class. His cooperation and willingness to help his students are the sole reason I passed his class, and I am very thankful for everything he did to ensure my success.

Easy professor

By far my favorite professor I have taken in Bellevue. If he feels that the class is not ready to move on to the next chapter, he will extend the time spent on that chapter and the homework due date to ensure the class is able to understand the material. Super caring and is very accessible during class and outside of class. Definitely recommend!

The way he set his class up is super fun and keeps it interesting throughout the quarter. Even after taking this class at 8AM, I would take it again any day of the year.

I enjoyed his class a lot. He has a great way of explaining things that makes it clear to understand. The tests, unlike those of other professors, actually reflect the work studied and learned.

Such an understanding and easy professor. Graded on about 1-2 homework assignments per week which are very doable and 4 exams, the last one being a comprehensive final. He goes at the speed of the class and helps everyone feel prepared. Attendance is graded but only 5% with 2 absences excused. Take him for a light math course!

This is hands down the best professor I have ever had. He makes a difficult subject so approachable and is so good at explaining problems, gives good and helpful homework, and helps us prepare for tests so well. Would recommend him to everyone who can possibly take his calculus classes.

I'm not very good at math, but he's a really great teacher. He gives a review before each test, and the tests are very similar to the review, which helps a lot. He lectures with PowerPoints and also gives paper examples so you can practice. He always answers questions if you ask, and he explains things really clearly.

Took his class 3 years ago... Figured I'd come back and leave a review and was delighted to see that so many other students also got the chance to enjoy such a great teacher! After graduating from BC, I still remember him as one of the most helpful and happy teachers I've ever had. Fantastic and wish I still had him.
