Test are hard, class is entertaining, you really dont have to read the book his notes are pretty comprehensive. Part of the home works are helpful on the test. He is funny
He's self centered and makes it seem like his opinions are more important than anyone else's. His tests are really not that hard. Need to go to class and take notes and read the chapters in the book before tests.
all I can remember what he said during a semester is "Students who are taken my class said my tests are so hard; I can say you would get A if you study over and over". more than half of students failed no other curves or extra credits, no need of more comments.
I hated economics until I took his 2305 Macro class. He broke the subject down in a very clear way and showed us how to apply dry and boring material to exciting current events. He is self-centered in a hilarious way. His tests are hard: combo of multiple choice and short answer with required graphical illustration. Study hard. He'll help.
great prof. useful lectures and he tries to keep you interested. tests are written and cover in class material.
Difficult professor. No attendance policy because honestly if you miss class you'll fail. assignments are rare, but you have to study hours every night. dr wunder expects you to know the material. an A is possible, but if you have a life outside this class, its pretty unlikely.
Excellent teacher. Very active and engaging class lectures, minimum of homework. He had regular office hours, which he kept, during which he fully explained any topic that I had questions about. The class isn't a "free" A, but it's one of the few classes you can take that will actually have a practical and immediate benefit in your life.
Best teacher at UTA. Yes the tests are not difficult if you study. The work load is the same as any other class, but the lectures and class interactions are classic.
AWESOME Professor. There are 3 homework assignments due the week before the test, set up EXACTLY like the tests. He places note outlines on his website. His tests are easy if you go to class, take notes, participate. He has provided an easy way to get an A. Do what he says... you need to know it if he says to study it it'll prolly b on the test
Dr. Wunder is definitely the most interesting professor I have ever had in my three years of college and I believe will stay like that. Hard class but entertaining! You can still make an A w/out book but take good notes! Don't miss class! Otherwise you will miss out on some good jokes :) Applies real world knowledge to teaching :) LOVED IT!
Dr. Wunder suffers from short man syndrome, totally is full of himself. You have to study EVERYTHING for a test but they really aren't that hard. It's not hard to get a A or B you just have to take good notes and go to class everyday.
The semester isnt even over yet and he's already taught me things that I can apply to the real world. I wasn't too enthusiastic about this class at first, but now I love going. He's the best I've had thus far, I'm definitely going to take him for micro. He's very funny and very clear when explaining things. Study and you'll pass, simple as that.
I love his class... he is entertaining... not a free A but if you go to class, take the notes, read your notes, practice the graphs you'll be perfectly fine. I have taken him for both Micro and Macro... he is a blast. Makes economics interesting. He is the reason I changed my major to Econ. Great professor... HIGHLY SUGGESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you like lecture classes this is for you! He is definately great at lecture, very funny. You live and die by your notes. If I could stay off FB then I probably would have an A. He's a generally nice guy and very interesting to listen to. Minimal HW. He gives you the tools to succeed. Study, Take Notes. You will learn ALOT
Dr. Wunder's tests are rather hard. Attendance is a must for a good grade. He makes up alot of questions for the homework and tests that are from lectures and impossible to find in the book. He is a funny guy however intimidating. If you go to his office he is more than helpful, but his class is very hard. It's def not an easy A.
he's a great guy..teaches well..it was fun in his class..cracks jokes often...tests are harder at the begining but the finals are the most easiest..you gonna think was it a test after you come out of the finals....i got an easy A...i suggest taking classes with him...hope to see u again in microecon next sem professor
Great Instructor and class. Short answer questions for the tests and one group presentation...very laid back. Thanks Dr. Wunder for a wunderful atmosphere, I know your reading this!
Great, entertaining, and very interesting teacher. Lectures were great, learned a lot. Going to class is the ONLY way you will get a good/passing grade. Textbook isn't necessary, good notes are
Attendance is a must! He will cover everything on the test and homework in lecture. It is impossible to fail this class.
You absolutely must attend EVERY class. His tests are lecture based. He knows his stuff very well and is always clear when explaining hard concepts and facts. Go to class and study and you will without a doubt make an A in his class.
Hands down great professor, my favorite thus far. He's well versed in economics, excited about it, and excited about teaching it. Awesome professor!
Dr. Wunder is an awesome professer and has the most interesting lectures out of any professor I have had at UTA. His assignments are NOT hard if you attend every class (which you should want to). The tests are easy but short, he just throws in these weird answers that throw you off. Also, NEVER skip a bubble on your scantron. He won't change it
Dr. Wunder is Awesome! His lectures are entertaining as well as useful. The book is used but most of the material come from lectures. The homework are pretty easy which he does give the answers in class during his lectures so again attendance is key. The test are MC and Graphs at the end Very important!;Also GO TO SI instruction very helpful!
ATTENDANCE IS A MUST! Test r straight from lecture (is also in book but less confusing in class). He will give answers to all HW if you see him during office hrs, DO IT or he'll yell @ u at end of semester. SI w/ G. Hill is a MUST! Memorize graphs and u'll do well. Made B in the class cause I didn't get answers on HW from teacher. Final is easy!
Great professor. He is VERY well versed in economics and his lectures are very entertaining. Attendance is a must. LEARN THE GRAPHS and ask questions, if you don't understand something- he will stop the class to ensure you understand it- IF you stop him. Overall, very good professor.
HE IS AN AWESOME PROFESSOR!! GRADING, TESTS, HOMEWORK IS ALL FAIR!! HE TRULY WANTS EVERYONE TO PASS THE CLASS!!!!!! VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT THE SUBJECT AND WILL GIVE PLENTY OF EXAMPLES TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS!!! I WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN, AGAIN, AND AGAIN!!!!
This guy is weird. He does want you to learn, but he is EXTREMELY sarcastic. He can be intimidating. Tests come straight from the lecture. The books is good if you didnt draw graphs properly during class. Go to his office hours. Take him, but with caution, it wont be the best ride of your life, but it can be done. Remember, study lecture notes!!
He is a great professor that is for the "THICK" skinned. If you get your feelings hurt by what someone says than do not take Dr. Wunder. Tests are from notes, so make sure and go to class. I told him that he needs a "pitty pepper" for the Appearance on hot or not; now he has one. If you take him you will learn a lot.
okay I gave him a 4 on easiness not because his tests are easy but because if you actually attend his classes you will make an A in his class. he is THE BEST instructor I have ever had in 3 years that I've been in UTA and my major is not economy. go to class take notes and you will be fine. 3 sets of HW, 3 exams and one easy final. TAKE HIM!!!
Amazing professor, great examples he makes economics more interesting by day to day examples and a good sense of humor. He is undoubtedly one of the best professors I've ever had and would recommend anyone to take him. evaluation is not the easiest ever but the material is very well explained and the help is always there! take him.
He is a smart professor but he is too cocky. His test is not that hard but he pulls a lot of trick questions, and when you take the test you may think you know the right answer but you choose the wrong one because you think he is trying to trick you. I wouldn't reccommend him. Dr. Himarios is way better than he is. He also talks way to fast.
The tests aren't very hard if you study the material covered in class. It can be tricky so you have to know the information. But he gives a lot of extraneous info that's not on the test and rush over the things that are. Drop hints here and there of what's on the test.
Class is simple if you go to class and take notes. Book is not required but a good source to have if you like to follow along and if you have to re-read what was said in class. 3 HW assignments which he will help you to pass when you go to office hrs; 3 exams which are just like the HW assignments and 1 final which is like HW and exams. TAKE HIM
ATTEND LECTURE + TAKE NOTES = MAKE AN A. seriously go to class you will make an A. for the hw problems go to his office he gives you the answers. the tests are just like the hw and the final in VERY easy. TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR GPA. AWESOME PROFESSOR.
Professor Wunder is my favorite professor at UTA! He makes the class funny and interesting! I've had him for 3 different classes and I never wanted to miss a class! He's the best!
great professor i wish i could take him again, he is also very funny in his lectures you dont want to miss i would recommend
Dr. Wunder is a really good professor and makes his lectures interesting. Yes, his test are hard but he wants you to have a challenge. His class is lecture based and provides outlines online. Study the lecture notes and you should be good. It's not a easy A class though. Sometimes if asking questions he makes you feel dumb and acts intimidating.
I took his class online. If I could I would have taken him in class. He makes the material easy to understand. Pretty much he dumbs it down but I'm okay with that. Only 1 test and a final. Test is straight from his videos and HW. Don't blow off the assignments they are easy points. Highly recommend.
Not my favorite guy. He's very judgmental and wastes a lot of class time ranting about the percentage of students (that every class has, BTW) who don't do the work. Very opinionated, not as focused on actual economics as you might hope.
I took him as an elective thinking it will b easy... Ended up being the hardest class I took this semester.. I am not an econ major.. grade is based on 3 exams & no hw... Each exam has 7 questions short answer... I wish someone had told me that before I took him.. good luck!!
I have never disliked someone in my entire life as him. I felt like I was in a political debate not an economics class.
interesting prof. not a bad guy, just likes to inject political opinions. says his isnt liberal but clearly is. uses Keynesian theory that isnt in the book. he likes to debate and th class was fun cause were both antagonistic. tests were hard and 3 HW assigns. were easy points. he does want you to pass. i would take him again.
If you like thinking and being challenged take him. If you want to be given facts and be told to regurgitate them don't. Second time in his class. Second time I'm blown away by the amount of things I've learned. If your the kind of person who hopes to get an education with your tuition rather than just buying a degree he's your man.
wouldn't recommend taking this class online, you miss out on too much for the exams. just took the final and some of the questions were what he did in the lecture. he does have video lectures although they seem a couple years old. all examples he uses are from 2005. I'd take him again, just in class next time.
Good professor, fairly easy exams. He will try to scare students about his tests but once you take them, you'll see they're not that hard. If u do the hw, then you're ready for the test bc it's basically a short version of it. Very SARCASTIC, i didn't understand much of what he said, maybe 20%. But I studied the book and the test was so easy.
Likes to have his political opinions/ideas known and uses them to "argue" with students. Pretty funny though. If you can get past his opinions he is a good teacher. Homeworks are easy and so are the tests as long as you attend class. He puts note outlines on his website - USE THESE! He follows them in his lectures and makes for a good study guide.
Was skeptical going into this class. The class turned out to be challenging but fun at the same time. Teacher is sarcastic and likes to argue with students but can be funny. PRINT OFF NOTES OF HIS WEBSITE! and take them to class. He lectures out of it and the test are out of these notes.
Hardest online class I have ever taken. Interesting guy just hard because its online
BEST CLASS EVER. I enjoyed this class a lot, not only because Dr. Wunder is great, but because his lectures are always interesting. I gained more than just economics information in his class. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!
Keeps the class interesting and an easy A or B if you go to class. Print out the chapter outlines because he teaches straight from them and all the notes you take will be on the exams.
He was definitely an amazing professor. So much that I will be taking another course with him. He's straight-forward, hilarious, and I really do recommend this professor. He teaches things that are relevant in the real world. TAKE, TAKE, TAKE!!
Fun class, his lectures are top notch. The tests questions are all essay type answers with graphs and lists. Which is intimidating at first, but its really not that bad. Recording the lectures and reading the book helped a lot for studying. If you do not put in enough effort studying you will do bad on the tests, you cant guess on long answers.
Get the outline on blackboard, follow it during his lectures, take really extensive notes and fill any holes with the textbook, and make sure to review the notes and the sample problems on blackboard before each test. He's a nice guy, great lecturer, and he really cares about his students. You won't go wrong with him.
Very nice guy! He really cares about your grades and is very helpful. Also his grading system is great you can literally fail all three of his test and get a C in his class. His test are pretty hard to get an A you need to study after each lecture. He is VERY funny and will keep you engaged in his lecture!!!
:D Go to class. It's interesting and fun.
Just take great notes and study them for the exam. His exams are based entirely on the notes. You should use the book just to make you you understand the context.
Very enthusiastic, he'll never put you to sleep. Short answer tests. Study the concept not so much the terms on the text book. Study all the examples given in class ( especially the graphs)and you will make an easy A.
Really interesting professor! Knows his stuff and is passionate with everything that he says. The exams are kinda tricky but if you read the book and take good notes you'll be able to succeed. Made low C's on all the exams but still managed a B. Looks unapproachable but is actually nice and wants you to do well in the class.
He's awesome. I find that I don't exactly agree with all of his views, but I like my views being challenged. If you're going to speak up, be prepared in the art of debate. Know what you're saying and know your sources. Stay current in news. His class is fun. You can get an A, but you need to take great notes, and participate. He's very funny.
Best online teacher I've had. He made videos that covered everything that would be on test and material you would find in the text book.
Great professor. Lectures were never dull. He's very into Macro and shows it! All of the tests come from the lecture, don't bother getting the book. Take lots of notes, nothing is posted online and the tests make sure you know you're information correctly. I would definitely take one of his classes again.
He is tough on grading, only because he tells you exactly how to pass. His lectures are crystal clear, and he has a passion for Macro. Take him. You won't regret it.
He is very opinionated which is great! He often goes against the book and expect questions asking about what were the opinions in class regarding something. Don't skip class! There are 3 midterms and 2 finals (one is optional which replaces the lowest midterm). Final exam's cumulative unlike most professors. He himself declares his exams to b hard.
The test were tough because I was never sure what was going to be on them. However the class was interesting and I enjoyed myself. I loved how he got people worked up with facts. He is very fair. Just show up to class and do the work.
He's an amazing professor. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about what he's teaching, but he also challenges thoughts and makes the student explore their own ideas. Some of the things he says you might disagree with, but it's just a way to challenge you. He's the only morning professor who's class I DON'T fall asleep in. Interesting lectures
He is an amazing professor! If you are a business major I highly recommend you take him. Very opinionated and teaches you a lot of things you need to know about the real world. No quizzes, 3 homework and 3 tests all semester. Tests are not easy but you can for sure get a B if you take good notes and listen!
He goes off on tangents in class and really likes to let you know that he thinks the economy sucks and that we know anything about it. He goes over a majority of the material in class. Usually he tells you what he thinks is super important. Does random participation quizzes and homeworks are easy. Tests are hard if you don't put in work.
Dr. Wunder was easily one of my fave profs in the COB. I wish more professors in the building could lecture as effectively as he does (granted that this class had a large philosophical element to it). I wouldn't call this an easy A. Lectures are posted online, reviews are available, and some opportunities for extra cred.
his test are very tough. If you go to the S.I. sessions then you will be fine. they give practice test that are almost the same as the regular test.
Warning be prepared to listen to a lot of information.
I dont find the information relevant to the test. How does he review for tests besides just talking randomly.
HW takes 150 points out of 500 total grade. The reason why he gives so much portion on the hw is because his tests are kinda hard. However, as long as you attend his lecture and study for about 45 hours for each test, You will get A. This is easy A class guys.
I've only taken Wunder for environmental economics (elective) and I loved it! His lectures are very eye-opening and inspirational. The information is not as clear-cut as other mandatory classes which is a given, being an elective course. But, the information is very valuable and should be taught more. Only 3 exams. Not tough. Take notes, go 2 class
Took micro economics online during spring semester and it was the hardest online class I've ever had. He does weekly online lessons, which include 4 to 5 videos and either a quiz/short answer homework or a discussion board. If you don't have time to watch the lectures you fall behind. The tests are nothing like the quizzes and are very hard.
His lectures made clear sense about world economies though its much textbook oriented class. The questions are random and fun. Only tests are the killer.
No good info on review for test
First thing, show up to every class session, period. HW and short answers are simple to complete. But tests can be hard but if you follow your notes taken from class that he provides, you will be successful. The proff is very funny and mentions alot of the real world stuff. Other than that, do your part , and you'll be okay.
He made the class insanely difficult. Nothing works with him. Sorry to say, but all the raters are fooling me to believe nothing. The tests come from book not lecture. He doesnt provide a study guide or reference to his tests. As long as i find someone who cares itll all make a difference.
I'm not going to lie, this class was pretty difficult. It's obvious though that Dr. Wunder genuinely cares about his students and doesn't want us just learning the material for a test and then forgetting it. You have to study hard for the tests but he offers extra credit and is available if you need anything clarified.
I took him for both 2306 and 4302. Great professor, you can easily get an A if you pay attention and study. His lectures are fun and he's always ready to help. If you want to learn something, take him.
I took him for 2306. Great professor. Took the time to use examples that people could relate to other than just using the text. The new launchpad itself was daunting. He understood and worked with the class to ensure we still achieved the best grade possible. Take him. You will not regret it. Attend class, use his notes.
His actions speak louder than his words. Some people say he comes off as intimidating or unapproachable but they do not realize the little things he does for students. Instead of having us buy the 200$ micro book that all other micro classes he built an entire curriculum around a 40$ book. I'm sure the other one would have been much easier for him.
I did not enjoy Economics til I took Dr. Wunder's class. You must come to lectures to fully understand this class, and do the assignments. His system is fair, you get what you put in. His class was an eye-opener, to understand today's economic & political environment.
Take this professor for principles of micro! Not easy by any means, but he gives you all of the tools to do well. You just need the digital textbook, no access for MyEconLab needed. Puts practice tests online to study for the tests. Sometimes adds a few points to test scores. Attendance not required, but he explains everything very well.
Wunder was a great professor, he kept the class interesting and for the most part it was easy to pay attention to his lectures - which is important because those notes are all you'll have for studying for his exams! His exams are not difficult if you show up to class and take notes!! Also, his reviews for the exam are very helpful!
Honest truth, I thought this class was going to be easier bc of this website than it actually was. Taking the online class means you absolutely HAVE to make time for EVERY video. 66% of your grade comes from tests and many small-detail questions come from lecture vids. NO review for tests but the final will be easy. Its similar to the 2 midterms.
This is such an interesting econ class and Prof Wunder is an incredible lecturer. His class is never dull. I didn't buy the book- if you show up everyday he will cover everything on his exams. The exams are all short answer, no multiple choice, but he asks very broad/general questions. I wish every prof at UTA lectured as well as he does.
I received a C in almost all my exams because i wasnt doing it right and wasnt following his simple instructions. But ended up with a B+ because of his extra credit. Finals are non mandatory. At first you might not like him and feel skeptical about his lectures, but in the end it is all worth it. Give a lil effort and get an A.
Professor Wunder is funny, enthusiastic and knows his stuff. This class was quite enjoyable! Show up to class and take good notes. Tests are somewhat difficult so make sure to be prepared. Do not miss class and you will pass.
I took his online ECON 2306 class and it has been fairly easy. He is able to teach the information is a way that is relatable, he is also very organized with lectures and chapter assignments (1 per week) which I appreciate. I would recommend him.
I absolutely loved his class. Prof. Wunder made class super entertaining. I was always looking forward to going to class because of how interesting it was. He is very passionate about what he teaches and its contagious. Test are straight from lecture notes and and he has very clear grading criteria. If I could take all my classes with him, I would.
Prof. Wunder is amazing! You may be skeptical the first week because of his crazy lectures but it's so worth it. All the tests are short answer but he is EXTREMELY lenient in grading and if you take notes, you'll do just fine. Such a cool guy, nice, caring, funny, and really wants his students to pass. He challenges popular held beliefs in ECON
I took this class online. He gives videos every week to explain lessons, and he's open to helping you. There are practice exams and chapter exams with unlimited tries that help you ALOT!The exams come from a question bank- WEBCAM. STUDY for exams!!(drops lowest one).discussion boards, quizzes, short answers. He's very helpful and understanding
Great professor! This was not an easy class but totally worth taking as an elective. He kept lectures interesting by throwing in a few jokes here and there. He speaks about real life environmental economics situations (very interesting). This was my first UTA class as a transfer student, I really think it prepared me for other challenging classes.
Dr. Wunder is a good professor & online course the class was good. I really liked that he would post videos and show examples. However, he's getting a mediocre rating from me because Dr. Wunder said he would curve our final grade if we were to take the final exam. That was a lie. Also a lot of his homework method to scan was rather annoying.
Dr Wunder is hilarious and knowledgeable. You have to be in class in order to take notes that would be in the exam. So make sure to attend classes. Basically, no homework assigned, just some readings to do. The review session is a must go! Overall, tests are bearable if you pay attention in class and take good notes.
4 exams including the final. FINAL IS OPTIONAL. You should attend class because he gives extra credit especially towards the end of the semester. Exams are kind of hard, but he gives practice exams online which are very similar to the exam. NO NEED FOR TEXT. Exams are off his lectures so don't waste money on the book. Overall, excellent professor.
This class was like a combination of history and economy, so it was an interesting class. I absolutely loved his lectures, full of knowledge, debate, and laughs. His tests are all short-answer questions, but they are straightforward and simple. If you show up to class and take notes, this class will be easy. Plus, take advantage of extra credit!
Prof Wunder class seems like a blow off class since attendance is low and there is one note taker always writing as much as he can probably for his classmates but I find this class is rather self taught than by all means taught by professor in various topics highlighting current events, exams are hard you need to experiment with experience.
He changed the format of his test, they are no longer open answer, like previous reviews. Theyre multiple choice and come from the book/test bank. So what he teaches in classes feels pointless as it doesnt relate to test. Get the book read it, make notecard for test. Doesnt require attendance.
His Intro to Micro is one of the best classes offered at UTA. Dr. Wunder is one of very few professors who is willing to truly engage with students and think outside of the textbook. He takes feedback to heart and his lectures will change the way you look at economics. TAKE THIS CLASS. You'll receive a good grade if you stay engaged and do the work
This was an amazing professor. He will tell you what to study during reviews and reinforces his textbook. If you miss class just read the book and you're fine. If you don't understand the first time he will find another, better way to make you understand. He is a must-have professor.
I love Dr Wunder. He really cares that your learning and makes you think critically about the topic. I've taken him for both micro and money and banking and would take him again if i could. If I'm confused on something he will stop the lecture and do his best to explain before moving on. As long as you show up and actually try he will help you out.
Pretty cool dude. Simple class. There's a book. You don't need to read the book. Show up to class, take notes, actually l i s t e n, and you're fine. He gives some points for participation. There are 4 tests and each test has a quiz that you can take to prepare you for it. Doesn't get simpler than that. Oh and also, he's pretty chill.
Show up every class, take notes, be there on review day and youll probably pass the class
This professor is great as long as you show up to class, take your notes from his printed version and ask questions on anything you missed or didn't understand. This professor lectures from his notes so I found it helpful to record individual chapters just to go back over any thing I missed. So all you need to do is show up take your notes, review.
Dr. Wunder is a pretty solid pick. Quizzes give a pretty good idea whats on the test, lectures are interesting and informative. Sometimes he does get a little off track so don't be afraid to re direct him to the topic. Easy A if you put a little effort. No HW just quizzes and test. Attendance for extra credit.
Take him! 5 exams literally from his lectures & his reviews. 5th exam not required to take if you accumulated enough points to pass. Goes on a rant when he lectures, but it will keep you entertained. Attendance not mandatory but gives extra credit on some days, just for attending. Open book homework quizzes . Always available during office hours.
prof Wunder is amazing and gives interesting lectures to help you remember the materials, and all you have to do when the test comes is study the material from your notes that you get from lectures and study the tests that he posts from the last semester. The tests have the same material, just worded a bit differently, very nice and approachable!
Dr. Wunder is amazing. His lectures are funny, but passionate. The easiest way to pass this class is just to read your chapter before he lectures it & to take notes in class. There are 3 tests & a final, but you do not have to take the final if you are satisfied with your first 3 test grades. There is only 3 HWs & 3 SAs. I hated ECON before him.
Prof Wunder has by far been my favorite professor. His lectures are good and engaging and he really enjoys what he does. All of the exams come from his lectures and he reviews everything on the test so it makes it hard to fail. If you just go to class, take notes, and participate, it is an easy A.
Definitely take his class!!! He makes the material very easy to understand. The homework is super easy, it will take you less than 30 minutes. Discussion boards are also super easy. He accepts late work on the homework, not the discussion board. Awesome professor!!!
His exams are basically test bank questions. Each exam is 33 out of 700+ random questions. Doesn't give us a clear information on what to study. Easy assignments but this is one of the worst freshman class I have taken. I took his practice exams like 20 times and still isn't able to learn from it because it's too many random and different question
Exams are much harder than quizzes. Must have textbook to do insightful reading. Dont rely solely on lecture guarantee its not the solution.
He has not been keeping well during the semester due to Covid 19 I worry his lectures will be cut short of meeting his project presentation time and his quizzes are not from lectures but a book.
Covid19 caused this class to be taken online Summer 5 wks. He's knowledgable but based on his video lectures which are each 2 hours long 4x a wk, he's all over the place and sometimes doesn't finish his thought. Each test (5) consisted of an essay or essay type answers that couldn't be longer than 2 pages. No homework. I wouldn't take it again.
Because of Covid-19, of course, this class is taken online. He seems pretty good with computers. His lectures are videos that are on average 10 minutes each. 3 multi choice tests from a pool of questions, final is optional. Quizzes, DBs, and short ans. Quizzes are 1000x easier than tests. You really need read the textbook. Lecture is not enough.
This class is hard. Its a lot of self teaching. He asks you to read a chapter a week and then posts explanation videos on the big concepts of that chapter . This class is hard because of the content but he tries to make it easy the videos he uploads. The chapter readings are honestly really short and he does a good job explaining them.
Professor Wunder is everything you can want from a professor. Im generally not interested in economics however he put into perspective how it affects a lot of our everyday society which made it a lot more interesting rather then regular lecturing. I was never once bored when in class because he is hilarious while staying on topic. Take this class!
This class was online and basically self-taught with references to his online videos. You should read the textbook if want a detailed explanation. He gives practice tests but it's nothing like the exams. The only good things ab this class is that he drops the lowest exam and has easy hw and quizzes. If you want the A then you're gonna work for it.
The class was hybrid, we met in person 8 times. Great video lectures to help understand the material; goes over any information needed in class. Does a great test review, allows a 3X5 notecard for tests. His lectures are interesting and keep your attention. He has a good sense of humor. You are expected to work, but I definitely recommend him.
Professor Wunder has some cool lectures. I was never bored and he posts like 3 videos a week that are like 6-10 minutes each for each lesson. He requires lockdown browser with webcam for test. I would recommend just grinding out the practice tests in order to do well on the tests. Homework is easy, but preparing for tests can be stressful.
His lectures were extremely helpful. Helpful Prof especially during the time of Covid. Not a heavy grader at all. A small assignment every week (hardly 30 min). Exam after every 4 chapters (listen to his lectures, do the practice exam and read the chapter). Easy A if you follow these steps. final exam optional. few extra credit opportunities
The professor is super chill and the exams are straight from the lectures. Easy A if you turn everything on time and communicate.
A great professor, really helpful especially in this pandemic. would recommend him 10/10
This was one of the hardest classes I have taken, but Dr. Wunder is a great professor. His lectures were funny and interesting (for an ECON) and seemed easy enough- but the exams were very difficult. If you follow the lectures, do the practice and homework assignments, its hard but doable.
Professor Wunder is a very caring teacher and does really helpful lectures. There is a lot of reading in the textbook so be prepared to go through boring chapters. I always study a lot for tests and usually they are easy but his tests are very hard. He lets us use a 3x5 card on the test but there is so much information that they usually don't help.
I took his class in Spring 2019 and wow it was awesome, but if you missed a class you would need someone to get the notes from else you wouldn't pass. Honestly, if you skip you'd be skipping out on an amazing lecture. His lectures were awesome and worth the sit through. He gives an outline that you fill in and its basically the tests. Take him!
Dr. Wunder was an amazing lecturer. If you are a freshman or sophomore, you may struggle. As an upperclassmen taking this course, Dr. Wunder explains well and understandable. You must go to class in order to pass. Test are hard so you need to study. You may use a 3x5 index card on test. No reason you shouldn't pass if you put in the work.
The best economics professor Ive ever had. Videos are short and easy to understand. 3-5 videos a lesson that are around 3-10 minutes each. If you watch the videos and take his practice tests and exams multiple times (has a very large question bank so you wont always see the same questions each attempt) youll make an easy A.
AMAZING TEACHER! He makes sure to lecture in small video fragments that make it simple and easy to understand the concept. So well that you don't need to read the book, although I recommend using it as an extra learning tool. Grading is straightforward and he gives you plenty of time to complete an assignment & quizzes are unlimited attempts!!
Its an average college course in terms of difficulty however for his online class the recordings he provided were so helpful and entertaining to watch during an online class it really helped. The practice questions are so helpful
He gave simple 7 minute lectures online. You should do your own reading from the textbook if your trying to get an A. The assignment are super easy and he drops your lowest test.
If you can take Dr. Wunder for ECON 2306.. TAKE HIM. I am terrible at economics, but his lectures were great. He can ramble a little sometimes but it is always interesting! He has clear grading criteria. Only 3-4 hw assignments, textbook not required, and has optional final that can only help your grade. He has EC opp in class!
Best professor in the college of business. Dude has a lot of passion and lectures are amazing. Took him for micro and comparative systems. Best elective I ever took at UTA and I learned a ton. No HW, just 3 short essay exams. Posts online lectures so you dont have to go to class but you should, because his lectures are great and youll learn a lot
Lectures are in person and has online videos to help with the modules on chapters. Explains lectures very well basically summarizes what the chapter is about; has a good sense of humor. Great professor, trust me just take him you wont regret it!
He is very nice and helpful. He provides easy instructions and short lectures to follow. You have at least one assignment each week but they're easy! My only complaint is that economics is hard for me so that's why I struggled. The test are a bit challenging.
Professor Wunder is amazing. Very clearly cares about his students, even though the class was fully online. Explains course materials well and is a fair grader.
He is a great professor!! He gives a lot of practice sheets that aren't mandatory, but they are extremely helpful. He gives practice tests that are similar to the actual test, and you can take them multiple times. Quizzes have unlimited attempts and it keeps your highest grade. Everything is due every Saturday. He replies to emails within 48 hours.
Despite Microeconomics being an information-heavy and relatively difficult class, Professor Wunder's video lectures helped immensely in learning the content in a way that speaks to those with visual, example-based, and auditory learning preferences.
I really enjoyed Professor Wunder's class!! I struggle with economics as a topic, but he made it super easy to understand. His lectures were very informational and entertaining. He keeps the class engaged and is very helpful if there is something you don't understand. 10/10 would recommend.
I took this class online and I didn't feel that Professor Wunder's lectures really went with the test for that lesson. You have to read the book in order to understand the material your being graded on. Some of the videos were helpful but most weren't. Easy grader though on assignments.
Awesome professor, REALLY cares about students and their grades. Super fair, loves to teach and meet his students (I took him online) Very knowledgeable about economics, doesn't mind to sit and explain if you don't understand! Definitely recommend!!!!!
The course itself was kind of difficult for me, but the lectures explain everything you need to know, and there are practice questions before each test.
Overall, I really enjoyed Professor Wunder's class. He's very knowledgable of microeconomics and really tries to help students understand the concepts. As long as you pay attention to the lectures and read the textbook, you'll be well prepared for the exams.
Best economics professor I had so far. A very engaging professor in lectures, not work heavy. Come to class or you will fail, though attendance is not mandatory. All questions on the test are covered in class, and there is only one homework assignment per section. Very open to answering questions and debating, made sure we understood.
Professor Wunders super sweet. Awesome lecturer that really cares about his students and if the content is being understood. He's passionate about econ and is really easy to talk to. Although attendance isn't mandatory, I don't think you can pass without showing up. Would take him again 100%.
Dr. Wunder is quite the motivated lecturer for teaching a boring subject. He loves what he does and is enthusiastic about the course and material. Just make sure you do what little homework he gives AND study pretests like your life depends on it. If you memorize the pretest and use your notecard wisely then you will do great in this class.
Professor Wunder was by far one of the most entertaining professor at UTA. His lectures kept me attentive which was very helpful because it was an 8:00 am class. Attendance is a grade so it's recommended to go, its also useful when it comes to exams. Definitely recommend him!!
Honestly great class. He was engaging and fun to listen to. If you pay attention and use the practice exam then you got it. You get a note card for the exam and he doesn't check the size. By far my favorite lecture in college so far. Very little homework.
lectures are very short and dont really have everything that is covered on the exams. to be successful in exams read the textbook as well and redo practice exams 10000X. other assignments include discussion board, quizzes, SAQs. very accessible and answered my emails quickly
Great guy overall. Very passionate about the subject and assigns few HW problems. Two attempts on quizzes and do the practice exams. They are crucial to succeed in his course ( the practice exams). Final was optional if you passed all three midterms or liked your grade. Would take again.
Took him in summer, wished I had more time. Always open to discussion & energetic. His ability (plus his knowledge) to change the way we thought how our world works and have us open our eyes to the big picture is sensational. He will change the way you think how economics works in real life; it's not the way we've been taught in most ECON classes
Professor Wunder is an engaging lecturer who makes even the dullest economics topics interesting. Attend class, use the free textbook, and practice the pre-tests - you'll do great. For extra study help, try out Unstuck study alongside other tools like ChatGPT.
He is one of my fav profs I've ever had. He actually cares and respects students. Attendance isn't mandatory but being in class is just enjoyable. He loves to interact with the classes, loves to talk about real life events, and makes the material even more understandable when comparing to real life situations. would LOVE to take him again.
he is honestly a really caring and funny professor. will be very honest with you about what is and is not expected. he made a boring topic quite interesting and had engaging lectures. lectures follow his pre-lecture ppt and videos which makes notetaking easy. exams are not the most difficult but can challenge you. clear grading procedures + extra c
His lectures are entertaining and informative. You can tell he likes working with students. I took him over the summer which consisted of three mini essays and two tests. This was a very interesting class.
For every 10 useless lectures, there is 1 important one. When he lectures, he rambles and then forgets the point. His lectures are incredibly boring, and you are better off watching his online videos he has posted. There are 3 in person exams and around 7 homeworks. You need to teach yourself in this class. Exams are all written response and long.
Loved him! Econ is a tough subject, but his lecture videos are easy to understand and he explains it better than the textbook giving us examples. Rarely read the textbook. allowed some help on exams and assignments were also super easy.
He was a good professor, his online class was easy and I ended up with an A. But you have to focus add do all assignment before the due date, after that they are locked. You have to take 3 midterm and a final, but he drops the lowest one at the end. Make sure you ask for help when you need it. If I had a chance I would take him again
He sets his class up as points not percentages, which is so confusing. I had a mid A in the class but after he instilled a drop one test rule, my grade became a B. I emailed him regarding that and he completely dodged my question. He said there would be a curve. I had an 88% but due to the curve being in points, I did not receive the curve.
He usually only has one assignment due each week, sometimes it's a quiz over the last few lessons, other times it's a short lesson that you can easily answer if you watch the lecture videos. He has 3 exams plus a final that you can skip if you like your grade at the end of the semester. Definetly recommend if you're looking for an easy A.
Great professor, if you try in the class, you'll make an A. The textbook and practice tests are good resources to use for the exams. However, the exams should be easier than the practice tests. He also drops the lowest exam grade with the final if you scored higher on it, and he will also curve your grade up if you attempted it regardless.
Great professor, some lecture aren't important but they're fun to go to, just make sure to attend the one where graph and math are involved, you get a small note card for exams, they're written but follow the learning objectives very closely, little homework. If you have the right stuff on the note card for exams you should be fine.
One of my favorite professors I have taken. Very funny and personable. Tests are difficult, but you are allowed a 3x5 card. Attendance is taken by participation in class. Easy to reach through email/office hours. He goes on random tangents, but his stories are always interesting, and he tells you the reality of things.
Econ itself is a hard class, I recommended reading the textbook for sure and use the key terms he provides and just add to it to study for the exams.
Had him last year for ECON 2306 and enjoyed it so much that I took this class. It is similar to 2306 structure wise. Exams are free response and allows a notecard. Follow the objectives and you should be fine. Pretty lenient with HW and turning it in and drops lowest HW grade from the 7 HW's. He is a treasure imo and will miss him.
