Hot, hot, hot...and she can teach

For an Arts prof she's pretyt nice, and strives to be interesting with a very basic course. Good prof.

HELLOOOO! She practically GIVES you the exam, if you are awake. Yes, she is demanding, but if you don't want to think and would rather be spoon-fed, you shouldn't be here! One of the best classes I've been in.

It seems that she genuinely wants everyone to succeed.

She's a fast-talker but genuinely wants you to succeed. She pauses to let you write things down, repeats important info more than once, and asks frequently if everyone understands what's going on. A joy to be in her class.

Amazing woman! She knows her stuff and makes it so interesting. Brings in lots of topical material. Talks fast but ALWAYS repeats anything you need to know. Very clear in what she wants, but VERY open-minded. One of the best classes I've taken!

AWESOME!!!! She's a great teacher. We had guest speakers, and went over really interesting stuff that relates to every day life. Great prof. She knows her stuff and is sooooo nice to everyone. Dedicated prof, great person!! Best class I've taken so far!!!

Though she marks fairly hard, it is easily justified. An excellent instructor. Most lectures are fascinating, partly because of her ability to give the topics relevance.

Tina is fantastic! She's incredibly open-minded, intelligent and makes the course material applicable to the real world. This is one of the best classes I've ever taken.

Though marker, and the essay part is usually 50 or 60 per cent of the total exam value. She is, however, always willing to help the students prepare for the exams. A very important hint: When writing an essay, DEFINE every single keyword (e.g. Democracy)

Miss Beaudry - Mellor is concise and to the point when it is required. She is truely a skilled wordsmith, a great communicator with students via e-mail and other - an intelligent, wise young woman with a bright future ahead of her.

I was not looking forward to psci but I really didn't mind this class. Made it interesting, and even showed Bowling for Columbine. Make sure you're thourough, define terms on exam and go to class, got an 80 something

Best class I've had in a long time. Very clear with everything without dumbing it down. Great with help outside of class. More profs should be like her..smart and relevent. Looking forward to taking whatever other courses I can from her

She was my PSCI 100 TA. One of the most influential people in my academic career. Because of her I changed my major to PSCI. Keep up the exceptional work!

Very interesting, relates content to current events, hard to keep up with and covers alot of info, be prepared to do the readings

Tina is the best prof. I didn't like psci to began with but Tina made it worth while I loved her class and over all I like psci now becasue of her. there is no other prof than tina when it comes to psci class.

Umm, you people need a life. She's not that hot. Class is easy though...it's 100 level after all!

I took PSCI 100 from Tina four years ago but she is the reason that I pursude a poly-sci degree, besides being very attractive lets not forget fellow students that she is incredibly intelligent and well acomplished, which for women in the political science sphere, is not always an easy task! You Rock Tina!!!

Do your reading and don't be afraid to engage in discussions and you'll do fine. She's a good teacher and cares about the students.

This is one cool lady. She is a master at helping you realize your own potential. She totally values what her students have to say. If ever she has a slightly negative critic for you, she'll always give you the positive too. She's an amazing prof and she dresses good too;)

Super nice, and pretty hot to boot. Good teacher, very clear with her instructions. I would rather have her for a class that I didn't hate so much, but she made it somewhat tolerable.

Good teacher for an intro poli sci course. I actually understand what she is talking about. Her supposed alpha-hotness is, however, greatly overrated.

Her classes are fun, and her exams are mainly debating issues from the perspective of a political ideology.

Very nice, organized, and friendly. She has a creative teaching style and likes to get the class involved. She expects hard work, so her class is not for the faint of heart. You will learn a lot though, which is the point of classes.

She likes to relate politics to our everyday life, which is something all PoliSci teachers should do. She's friendly, nice, gives a lot of bonus marks (which is helpful, considering what a tough marker she is) and likes her students to get involved.

She is pleasent and is very willing to help. She offered to meet with me during an evening for extra help even though she would have had to get a babysitter for her kids. Nice Lady

Amazing prof. She makes it extremely interesting and gets the students involved. All notes are verbal and posted on the internet so attendance is pretty much manditory. Tests are hard. If you put in the studying you will do fine. Highly recommend.

Tina is an awesome prof! She is so fun, really cares about her students and really gets the material she is teaching us. Strongly advise taking a class from her at some point in university. Also teaches political science, had her for that as well and she was equally as great!

Decent. 3 midterms. No final. Big on essay questions on exams. 1 group project which was fun and interesting to do. Examples make class interesting.

I've had Tina several times already, and have always enjoyed her classes. Women studies, or gender studies as she called it, was great. She looked at both sides of the issues - both male and female - was friendly and fun, and fair.

Tina makes her lectures very interesting. She is fair and looks at issues from more than one perspective. Overall this was probably my favorite class so far!

Tina is a fantastic professor, she had an online course this semester for community politics. She not only made the subject material interesting but she also encouraged me to think about different perspectives and more in-depth about subjects I already thought I understood.

Tina isn't interested in seeing how much you can memorize, she wants to know you understand the material! Great Prof, take this class w/ her!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Best prof ever. So interesting to listen to. Looks at both sides of every story & allows you to make your own decisions. Midterms & final are fairly easy, wants to know your opinion & what you've learned. Very energetic & fun. Will learn your name in a large class. Speak up in class. Material is interesting. LOVE HER!

Tina looks at all sides of everything and has a background in Political Science and Economics as well so she gives you a lot to think about. Tests are based on class material but are more about what you learned personally rather than memorizing. You will write essays. Very engaging. Go to class, you'll do fine.

gives great lectures easy to follow. Take down as many notes as possible, every word she says is important for the exams. Exams are essay format, and not difficult if you follow the points from your notes. I knew nothing going in, with no interest, and got an 82 as a final mark..i'm an average student. textbook is helpful! best prof yet; year 4

She's a very interesting and engaging prof. Her jokes groaners, but I like groaners. :) Her marking is fair, a little on the easy side. Class materials are important, so are notes. And the textbook is pretty useful. Also liked her class organization: 3 tests (all in essay format) and one presentation/paper. You learn more that way.

She is a great prof that every student would admire, but her making criteria is unfair. I got a 65 in this class, but when i retook it with another prof, i ended up getting 80%. Good luck to all those who get good marks in her class!!!!!

Amazing Prof! Doesn't make you memorize dates, etc. but focuses on the theories. She is a great public speaker and she is the only teacher that I have never been bored listening to. She can really relate to the class and is a fair marker. 2 midterms and an in class final test, plus a project, each worth 25%. Also, you get to watch FIGHT CLUB! :)

Very engaging and dynamic lectures.Memorization does not cut it for this class, the tests require that you udnerstand and can apply the material.Tina makes the concepte quite easy to understand however,with many relevant examples from current events.Great class if psci is your major or if you need to fill up an elective-you will benefit either way.

This class was lots of fun! I went from having no understanding of politics to having debates in class and at home to even voting confidently in my first election. Tina presented the material in a basic way, mixed in some laughter, and created a great learning atmosphere!

Tina is amazing. I will take more classes from her in a heartbeat. She definitely expects good work from her students (if you slack off, you marks will show this), but if you come to class, pay attention, and actually engage in the material, you'll do great. Make sure you do your readings!

One of my more interesting classes, the topics made me want to come to class to listen. I looked forward to going to class. Tina is a great prof, hard marker as she tells at the beginning but teaches a FANTASTIC class. I want to take more classes from her!

I found Tina to be a really engaging prof. She is a HARD marker, however, as she states at the beginning of class. It is extremely important to do the readings. Sometimes I felt that she assumed students had background knowledge on topics, which was so not the case for me. I also don't like how she calls on people. Difficult, but informative class.

Really enjoyed this class! At first I found her extremely intimidating especially when she emphasized how hard she marked but it ended up being for nothing because I've learned so much and am doing really well in the grades department. She's engaged, passionate and interesting to listen to. Definitely take this class!

Best professor ever. She is very passionate about what she is teaching and it is a breeze to listen to her. Any class she provides TAKE IT! She is wonderful. Passionate about each subject and in turn you become passionate about the subject. Excellent!

BEST prof ever! At first she said she marked so hard and I was worried... but she really doesn't. Going to class is a very good idea and I always wanted to because her lectures were great. I will take other classes from her for sure! She is great and makes coming to class something to look forward too. We also watched Fight Club and had no final :)

One of the best professors I've ever had, and the most enjoyable class I've had so far. She's very passionate about her subject and makes the class very interactive.

Tina is by far my favourite professor. Took a class with her last year and was so excited to take another. She does an incredibly job of facilitating interactive learning opportunities outside the classroom and explaining things in a clear concise manner. Grades reflect how you meet her expectations of being engaged and taking the class seriously.

Tina is great. For those of you who have no knowledge of how political systems work or just politics in general it doesn't matter. Its two midterms worth 20%, discussion forums 20% and 40% final all essay format. No need to read the text but class attendance is a must!! Take good notes, listen, study and you'll do fine.

This prof is amazing! I took political science 100 from her and she is engaging and great! her lectures are fun and thought provoking. She is very engaged in new technology. want a lot of class participation but makes it a very open environment to share you're opinions. She is friendly and am taking another course from her next semester!

Class almost identical to PSCI100 so if your looking for an easy elective this is the one. Content interesting, professor knowledgeable, little homework, open-ended tests.

All I can say is if you like to learn AND have the opportunity to take a class from Tina seize it!

Incredible Prof. She is inspiring, and brilliant. Reading the textbook is helpful, but coming to the lectures is a must. The time flies by because she is exciting to listen to. The midterm and final has A LOT of writing, so exercise your hand muscles. If you do exactly what the question asks, you will do fine.

Tina is a great prof, she knows her stuff and really tries to get the class interested in politics. I didn't care for politics before her class and I'm leaving with a lot more knowledge than I walked in with. She doesn't lecture straight through and keeps it interactive which is great. Book is very important. She posts on urcourses all the time

Very interesting. I looked forward to attending class. Big focus on participation, at first it makes class kind of intimidating but about halfway through the semester it really paid off and was rewarding. Marks fair but you got to put in the work.
