By far the best professor I've ever had. Tina made writing fun for me, a subject I hadn't enjoyed in the past. She was made everything energetic and lively. Even though class was in the morning she still managed to be funny and put a smile on my face. She was extremely helpful and overall wonderful. TAKE HER CLASS!

Take her class. You won't regret it. The topics she uses are very broad and you decide what you want to write your essay on. Very fair teacher who listens to everyone. Good humor too.
Extremely helpful, great personality- made class bearable. Easy!!!
i love this lady! shes amazing! shes a great teacher and shes really helpful! i go into her office hours just to kick it with her. but really... i do! shes awsome, take her class!
I learned a lot about myself in this class, if you had a chance to take Ms.Boscha as your writing professor, you should do so.
She is the nicest teacher I have had at Oregon, highly recommended. Plus she doesn't really require you to write just like her.
She is a great teacher!! She is trying to make everyone fair in the classroom, and as long as you try your best and show the improvement to her. She gives you a good grade. One thing i dont like it's the vocab quizes :( overall i have learned a lots in this class.
I'm not sure how much actual teaching of writing she did in class (beyond enythmeme emphasis) and she could be a bit disorganized/unclear, but she was more than willing to give useful help in any way. Reasonable workload, allows for creativity, extremely personable and encouraging (of individuals and of class discussions). Definitely recommended
If you ever have the chance to take a class from her, do it! She has been, by far, the most helpful and interesting professor to have. She is truly interested in her students and cares deeply.
She is absolutely amazing! Take from her if you need a writing credit. She's not super difficult but definitely challenges you as a writer and she wants her students to learn. She's a huge help in and out of class. She takes time to meet with every single student and is a great person to get to know for Letters of Rec.
She is very attractive and also helpful. Very easy class and it was a good time.
Tina is an AMAZING instructor! She is very knowledgeable and extremely dedicated. She stimulates class discussions and keeps the students engaged. She is always more than happy to help in her office hours and gives great feedback about the essays! I loved her class! She grades a little hard but gives you great feedback! Easy A if youre dedicated.
Great teacher. Very cheerful and helpful. The workload was ok.
Tina is a very fun teacher. I do not feel like I learned much beyond the first week or two. However, I did enjoy coming to class every morning to hear what she had to say. She focused a bit too much on group activities than how to write. I would recommend her to anyone taking WR 121.
Tina is great! She is super helpful and her lectures are actually interesting.
Tina was a great teacher for me. Originally I hated writing but her lectures were interesting and she kept me engaged. She isn't that hard of a grader either as long as you're improving.
I had this class at 8:30 in the morning and regretted until I went to her class. She made every single class fun and I have never been a good writer but she helped me improve so much! Highly recommend!!!!!!
I'm so happy I got have her for WR 121. I was not looking forward to taking the course, but Tina definetly made it bearable! She was so nice and very helpful. Wish she taught WR 121!
Tina was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She keeps students paying attention and interested. She really wants her students learn and succeed. She is amazingly kind and extremely helpful. She is great at keeping in touch outside of the classroom. I could not have asked for a better writing teacher.
Tina is an amazing teacher. She really makes class fun and has amazing ideas. She really wants her students to do better and I applaud her for that. Surprisingly she is really funny and I have really enjoyed this class as I was nervous going into it. Don't hesitate to sign up for her class as you will not regret it.
Very helpful and clear!
Tina is an AMAZING teacher! Fun and welcoming personality, interested in what students have to say, and very encouraging. She is very open minded and encourages an awesome classroom atmosphere. I would recommend taking anything you can from her, especially Eng. 199!
Super nice, great at teaching, AND funny! That's a rare find in a professor. She was always willing to listen to concerns and help clear up confusion. She actually offered HELPFUL feedback on assignments, too. Class wasn't very difficult, but there was an assignment due almost every day. It was manageable, though. I highly recommend this class.
Boscha's class was really interesting and she was an amazing professor. REALLY wish she was also teaching WR 122.
She's the best writing teacher I've ever had! Definitely recommend taking her class. I really wish she taught WR 122!
Tina boscha seriously is such an amazing teacher. I feel like I would of failed WR121 if it wasn't for her. She comes to class excited, she's hilarious, and does exercises in class that really makes you understand what she wants you to write. Class was enjoyable and definitely my favorite class I had all semester. Take it!
She really know what she is talking about, helpful and very funny. Come to class prepare to read.
She is such a great teacher, I am so glad that I was able to have such a great experience in my first college class. I would recommend her to any student!
Tina's class was one of my favorites of freshman year. She's engaging and easy going and always seems to be excited to teach.
LOVE LOVE LOVE TINA! If you have the chance take this class with her. She is such an amazing teacher with so much energy and truly cares about helping students become better writers. Wish every professor taught the way she does.
Great teacher!
Tina is AMAZING. She is so friendly and very funny. She is incredibly understanding and I actually have fun in her class. Would definitely recommend taking one of her classes.
I loved having her as my professor virtually during Spring term. She was really accommodating, and I felt like she cared that all of her students did well in the course. If you want an A, I recommend doing the readings and submitting any extra work she assigns.
I absolutely loved her, a great class to take when you are worried about your workload as it's graded on an effort basis. You are guaranteed a B if you do all the work and can bring it up with a few extra assignments. I only put in 2ish hours or less a week and still did fairly well.
Very engaging. Tough grader but just keep working at it and will pay off. Go to class!!
Understandable that this class wasn't the most fluid given it was Tina's first time teaching the course. However, that is no excuse for tanking the students grades as a result. By the end of the term, a small handful of students had a B-, everybody else had less than that. Class average on most assignments was a C-. Love the class but not the prof
Incredibly tough grader and should not be teaching an upper level business course, especially since she is brand new to it. Does not have the expertise or professionalism that you would want out of a teacher.
Tina Boscha is one of the best professors I've ever had. She gives stellar presentations each class and overall she has a really nice, caring, and fun personality. Thanks to her, I've grown immensely as a writer, team player, speaker, and leader. Tough class, but worth every penny. She's def one of my top three fav professors. Thank you!
Tina was an amazing online professor. She did a great job making content available and providing everyone a chance to earn an A if they worked for it. She made her grading policies very clear and never once did I earn a grade I had questions about. She gives wonderful feedback and makes everyone feel apart of a great writing community.
This class was one of those "If you do all the required work, you will receive a B, if you want an A, you need to do extra work" classes. Most of the writing assignments and discussion posts for this class were shorter than other professors' assignments which made this class a bit easier.
Tina seems like a genuinely kind person, yet for someone teaching a class on communication she seems to lack in that area. Rarely gives effective or useful feedback, and it all seems very nitpicked, yet deducts a chunk of points from your assignments. There are not a lot of points available in this class, so don't skip any assignments.
Tina is AWESOME. You can't get an A, but that's just bc Lundquist wants to try to scare you. Can get a B+ pretty easily tho. Tina is easily the most involved teacher I've had at UO. So nice, easy to talk to, and always positive. This class demands constant participation and a hard group project, but the challenges will make you better. Participate!
The first few assignments are skewed in the C-D range to scare you in the beginning. As long as you complete everything after that "well" the grades even out in weeks 8-10 of the term. I personally did not find Tina to be the right fit for a business course, or this course concept as a whole... Beware this whole class is one group project/prez.
Ms. Boscha is a great teacher because she has so much energy. She always comes in to teach, which is a good trait. Honestly, everyone in the class gets Bs, which she tells you at the beginning of the term. The only problem I experienced was that her grading was very subjective. You work long hours to get a B kind of sucks.
Truly one of the worst professors I have ever had. She has no business experience and has the most ridiculous grading structure. While this may not all be her fault, she does not prepare you for anything. She talks about herself all class. I have never put in more effort to an assignment, only to receive a terrible grade. DON'T BELIEVE THE 4.9!
I took online and there's a final paper that you start around week 7. Due to the fast pace of the course, she wasn't able to always give timely comments. Example: you pick a final topic week 7 and she tells you it's bad week 9, when it's too late to change it. She is also a pretty tough grader if you are aiming for A's. A nice person though
Ridiculous grading system in comparison to the rest of the teachers that teach BA308. Really self-centered and claims to have given 3 "A"s in her career. Considerably more work / readings than other BA308 classes. Avoid this professor at all costs in this course
Reflections every week, besides that, big group project/presentation. She is a tough grader, but really nice. Just wish she would be more lenient on her grading
Tina is a good person, but not the best professor for BA 308. The guidelines for assignments are very vague, and if you do not adhere to exactly what she wants for assignments you will lose significant points. She will not tell you exactly what she wants though, you have to spend the term figuring it out. Her canvas website is IMPOSSIBLE to use.
Tina is a really kind person and you can tell she cares a lot about her class but she's definitely the toughest grader out of all the professors that teach BA308. Very nit picky when it comes to grading written assignments. She also gives a lot of assignments the last 3 weeks of the term so be mentally prepared. Attendance is mandatory.
Tina is a very nice person and very engaging as a person, you can tell she cares. With that being said, she is an extremely tough grader claiming she doesn't want to simply hand out good grades. But, I don't think making it nearly impossible to achieve an A grade in this class along with the great density of work motivates students.
Hard grader, but wants to help you improve. It'll be hard to get an A in the class. Basically you need to hope you get paired with a good team as most of your grade is based on team assingments.
It was an easy class, I spent at most 4 hours a week on work. I would recommend taking her class.
Tina is an often cringe yet nice person, but her demeanor is not what makes her a poor professor. Her class is specially set up for you to leave with a B-/B. Rubrics are bare but her critiques of group work are extensive. Additionally, she doesn't even give her whole edits in the rough draft process so she can critique these unbeknownst edits later
Honestly, Tina was a decent prof. However, her grading was so difficult to the point 99% of people have a D letter grade until week 9/10 and then jump and stay around a B. She has only given 1 group of 5/6 members an A letter grade in her career as a professor. Other BA 308 professors are more fair graders for sure.
Tina runs a pretty tight ship, but it's understandable as it's a class of about 300. She doesn't seem particularly knowledgeable on the content and often defers to asking her colleagues when students ask deeper questions. The midterms (of which there are three) were pretty easy. Homework was a bit excessive in volume, not in difficulty though.
Tina is a really cool professor. I had her class for almost 2 hours twice a week, but I always enjoyed being there. The weekly homework load was quite tolerable, and was very correlated to the in class lecture. She does not accept late work at all, so that can be a little tricky, but I never found it too hard to get the work done on time.
Chill and valid
I can't say much because every BA101 class is literally the exact same but, attendance was mandatory, 3 midterms all were pretty difficult, good amount of homework, and studying is mandatory.
I personally did not find Tina's lectures that helpful. I felt that she went over the slides way too fast, but still found a way to make the class at least an hour and a half. I had to go back and take most of the notes at a later date. It didn't help that attendance was mandatory, so I was just going to class without getting many notes down.
You need to be present for her lectures. its a big class and she goes through class slides very very quickly-- be good at taking notes. If you didnt get all the notes down, she posts the lectures on canvas. if you take good notes, and study for 2-4 hours on each midterm, you will pass. midterms are not hard at all if you just study.
Her lectures are very hit and miss, some are very engaging while other will have you falling asleep. Showing up to class and taking some notes should guarantee a passing grade.
Pretty straight-forward business class, you''ll have 3 midterms which results in no final -- Yay! Pretty easy homework every week, respectable and fun professor!
Tina was pretty good. She had long lectures, but was well respected. She is a very nice person and a kind soul, who wants the best for each of her students. For even though BA101 was fairly simple, I recommend taking the class encore because it helped me. But overall Tina was a pretty good professor and a nice grader. Just turn in your hw, on time.
Prof Boscha is a great professor especially for BA 101 shes fun and informative.
I think Tina was one of my favorite teachers at uo so far. She takes time to explain things well, even though she goes through the slides sort of fast. The midterm and finals all had very clear study guides and most of the tests were very easy.
Tina was a great professor who cared about the success of all her students even in big lecture halls. As long as you stay on top of the homework and study a normal amount for tests, it is not too difficult and the whole course was curved a bit at the end of the term. I'm not a business major but I am glad I took this class!
She is chill and a little corny, but her grading standards were unreasonably high. Take someone else if you can.
I don't think it's Tina's fault, I think BA308 just sucks. She was kind, but she was a very tough grader, but I've heard the other 308 profs are just as tough. She sort of seemed like she knew what she was doing, but her feedback wasn't the best. The entire class is 1 big group project, so you better hope you get good team members.
professor boscha is amazing. this was my first business class i've ever taken, and having her as my professor made it 10000x better. she's funny, smart, and super professional and talented. she's kind of strict and the midterms were pretty difficult, but if you put in the work, you'll do well. would 100% take again.
She is very nice, but the class was strictly no electronics, which is hard with the speed of her teaching. Exams make up 60% of your grade. The midterm average was like a 60%, and she told us it was disappointing and that we needed to do better. The slides are very hard to understand, vague, and are just recycled slides from every other teacher.
Tina tends to go very fast through slides so it was a common occurrence that I would have to take notes outside of class. Lectures were straightforward and easy to understand. She seems very passionate about what she teaches which is refreshing for a student. She uses iclickers to count attendance and exams are worth 60% of your grade
Super amazing, funny and engaging lectures. I loved this class so much I switched my major to business. There is a lot of homework in a very short time frame. I-clickers are required and are exspensive. Loved this class! One of my favorites.
Very nice professor and a good lecturer. Tests matter a lot though she usually prepares us well. Homework heavy. Goes way to fast in class so notes must be taken outside of class.
Nice lady tries who make it interesting. Tests are almost your whole grade and the class average was usually C- or D which is pretty low for a BA101. she goes through slides SO quick and you have 3 things of homework each day of class. Lokey hard thought it would be a lot easier. Class got out 20-30 min early every day which was a +.
I genuinely enjoyed going to her classes, they were engaging and she's an easygoing professor. Yes she's a tough grader, but her thoughts and opinions are really constructive! There is a lot of reading, but they're not as boring as it seems. I took this class spring 2025, so maybe the nice weather also had a positive impact on this overall class :P
Tina is very funny and relatable, and she definitely cares about her students. She is very easy to contact outside of class and prepares students well for tests. There is about 3 homework assignments per class but you can do them a week early to avoid getting overwhelmed. Absolutely no devices in her lecture hall..
She was a solid professor; classes did get boring, and lectures covered slideshows, which were very important. If you study the slideshows for a long time, you will get good test scores and do well.
Tina is such a great and engaging professor. Her lectures are often fairly long but she makes sure to keep them entertaining. There are usually 2-3 short homework assignments per class, but you're able to work ahead.
Boscha is good at including examples in her lectures, which makes them more entertaining and also easier to remember/understand. The only minor critique I have is that her slides are self-explanatory, and it can seem pointless to be in class just to hear her read them aloud. BUT overall, she's friendly, a great teacher, and I recommend her class.
I loved her class. Attendance is very important and be prepared to have an IClicker. Homework everyday after lectures, with mikesbikes. Her lectures go by very quick, definitely would review the slides. Midterms are fairly easy. Good class.
Talks way too much about information that doesn't go with class material and gives random stories. Lectures are too high paced and easy to fall behind during these lectures.
Very fluid speaker and good stories. The professor puts a bunch of real world examples. The McGraw-Hill homework will take at least 15 minutes. If you understand mikesbikes at least a little, you can do very well in the competition.
