This teacher is amazing. She is one of the best professors I've had the pleasure of studing under. She makes math enjoyable and interesting because she is so passioniate about the subject. I wish more math teachers would follow in her footsteps.
she is my favorite math professor in the plant city campus. she is amazing. i love her.
excellent professor, do the homework and practice test and you'll do well, able to ask her anything, she's very nice and always willing to help A++++++++
Excellent teacher. One of the best math teachers at HCC, period. Very nice, helpful, and very approachable outside of class. Wants to see you learn and wants to see you succeed.
such a nice lady. Very clear, & willing to help. Moves a little fast, but is willing to go back, & help. Gives practice tests, & homework (that isn't collected) & tests are based from both. I would recommend her to anyone!
Great Professor! Will take the time out to help if it is needed. Tests are easy great Prof. I would reccommend her for any math class
she was very helpful. do the homework and you will be just fine. also print off her notes!! they are very helpful too! she truely cares about her students. when i was out sick she called me to make sure everything was ok.

Fantastic teacher - she is an exemplary instructor! She is patient and willing to spend time inside and outside class to help every student succeed. Very good at differentiated instruction! My math hero!
I definitely recommend her. You know exactly what to expect on her tests due to a review prior to each exam, and she is caring towards her students.
Great Instructor!!! Very compassionate, and organized
hard course reguardless, but fujita is a really understand and patient professor and if you really need the extra help she will help you pass the class as long as you put forth effort!
She was easy to learn from, best math teacher I ever had. Easy A. I got a 98 going half the time.
She is a very cool teacher and very helpful as well i highly recomend taking her for any class.
Very good teacher...Helped me to really understand things I questioned.
Very helpful and easy to understand. Also very patient. Would definitely recommend to take her class.
well I hate the class but love the teacher. she sets everything up extremly well.. but you must know your stuff for your test. the review provides a little insite but you must know more then whats on the review.. she is def there for all of her students tho and has a great heart.
Great teacher! Back with her for a second time. Love her. She really wants you to pass and will help you however necessary to get you on track. Absolutely recommend her. Especially for prep math classes
Great teacher! Love her! Highly recommend if your taking prep math classes. She really does care about her students and will go to any length to try and help you pass.
I hate math with a passion, but she makes it enjoyable and you are able to stay attentive in her class. She is extremly helpful and offers to help outside of class and she even makes her own notes, which are very good. If you study the notes, but will do well on the tests. I will recommend her to anybody!
i love her! she is the best! lots of homework but as long as you do that and her reviews, there's no way you couldn't get an A. she's very helpful and goes over anything without fuss to make sure you understand thoroughly.
Had her for College Algebra, and she was great, so I took her again for Stats. I had to work a bit, and I managed a B. I would've received an A, but I got lazy and didn't give a crap about my final. Very good teacher, she's willing to help you with anything.
she is great! very helpful! will go out of her way! great at making math make sense to people who are struggling ! love her!!
She makes a good effort to build up the mathematical concepts to they're understandable. She's sympathetic but does expect you to pull your weight in the learning process. I'd recommend her. I found STA 2023 to be a difficult subject but she has made every effort to make it easier. Just do the reviews in plenty of time before assessment.
AWESOME!!! SHE IS THE BEST!!
I took this class online. DO NOT PURCHASE THE TEXTBOOK ALL YOU NEED IS THE ACCESS CODE BECAUSE THE TEXTBOOK IS AVAILABLE ONLINE THROUGH COURSE COMPASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took this class a few years ago and it was the single easiest class I've ever taken. If you need a math credit take whatever class you can with her, she's very helpful and makes it easy to get an A.
One of HCC's best teachers. She will encourage you to learn and is very helpful.
Fujita was absolutely my favorite teacher ever. she was very respectful and if you needed help, she would be right by your side. i ask alot of questions and she answered every single one with much detail!
Best Professor ever!
Easy class, you print the chapter notes offline and bring them to class. Goes at a steady pace but will stop for questions. Reviews before tests are due for a grade with a scantron and are very straightforward. Easy class, very nice person.
She is amazing. Very nice and doesn't move on until she's sure everyone gets it. She'll fully explain any question you have. She tells you what is going to be on the tests and I found them pretty easy.
Great professor in terms of helping whenever asked. You have to ask though. Moved fast since it is an online class. If you hate reading, I suggest online class might not be positive for you. Guidelines for exams helped, book helps a lot, learn the calculator tricks, will save you time for processes. I would take her again!
Loved her teaching style!
Very, very kind and helpful! She is always cheerful and compassionate for teaching and the students. Very happy I took stats with her.
Mrs. Fujita was absolutely, by far, the best online instructor I have ever had! Wonderful teacher who ACTUALLY cares about her students. I barely passed with a C-, and Im still writing a comment like this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This class was extremely difficult, but Professor Fujita was incredible. She answers questions within minutes, her syllabus was crystal clear and she even opened the class early so that we could get online and see if the class was going to work. The online format made it extremely difficult and I worked HARD for the B, but she is GREAT!
I struggle in math and was nervous about taking Stats over the summer and online, but she made a challenging subject easy to understand. There is alot of work, but the homework & practice problems prepare you for the tests. I cannot say enough great things about this professor and how helpful she was.
Love this teacher! She is helpful, kind, and one of the best professors that one can get for statistics. Class could be slightly difficult at times, but she gives many opportunities to understand and welcomes any questions. Strongly recommend!
BY FAR THE BEST MATH TEACHER AT HCC SHE IS VERY GOOD. I TRIED TO TAKE THE CLASS BEFORE BUT HAD TO WITHDRAW. I HAVEN'T TOOK A MATH CLASS IN 8 YEARS BUT SHE MADE IT EASY TO LEARN!!!
Ms. Fujita is by far one of the best professors I have had at HCC. I took her online statisics course and she made it so simple! She emailed deadline reminders and I loved her smartpen thing-so helpful. I cannot say enough good things about her. She explained everything well and then would explain even more if you didn't get it. Love her! :)
Loved her! She provides useful pwrpt notes and is so precise and clear when teaching stats. She tries her best to simplify it and is extremely available for help. She wants everyone to succeed. hmwrk not mandatory but I would nt have passed with an A if I didnt do it, repetition in applying the learned formulas is a must! You will have to study.
Took the class online in a short summer session and made it through with a good grade thanks to Ms. Fujita's reviews and notes she posted online. She has these "pencasts" that are excellent.
She is a nice person and really knows her stuff. But she's not very helpful when you seek one on one help. I left her office more confused than when I first entered and math is my best subject. The group project was killer. I still have no idea what she wanted us to do. I had to drop.
SO SWEET! Statistics is one of the hardest classes Ive ever taken and i'm really good at math. anything mrs. fujita can do to help though, she will. i took online six week summer course (not recommended) for summer, three tests, optional final, 9 quizzes, and 9 chapters of my stat lab homework. highly recommended.
Took the online statistics course. Math is usually my worst subject but her pencasts and review sessions are amazing.MyStatLab is a big help in helping you learn the material.Proctored exams where if you took your studying seriously no reason you wouldn't do well. For an online course it's been amazing that I've been able to learn a complex subject
When I signed up for this class, I thought I would be able to get an A. Prof. Fujita is a great teacher but her teaching style did not suit my learning style. My recommendation would be to decide in the first week if you like her style. I worked hard in the class and came out with a low C. I also would recommend taking this class by itself.
She is the best teacher EVER! statistics is a hard class plus taking it online, but Professor Fujita is amazing! She gives you ample time to do assignments, and sufficient material to complete the course. I had no textbook but she provides lecture videos and ppts with all examples included. I got an A for her online class. I highly recommend her!
She is a very good teacher. The review sessions and notes help to prepare you for the tests. She gives credit for homework and if you can do her practice tests, you will do well in the class.
This professor is very clear in what she expects from the class, she is accommodating, and she is very fair. She sends out friendly reminders when assignment due dates are near, which a lot of online professors do not do.
She is a good teacher. I took all online and she is very organized. I got a B, but I know if I took her in class I would have gotten an A. math is just my bad subject so it was tough for me to do all myself without being in an actual class
This is a relatively easy class if you pay attention. She lets you bring a half page of notes for the tests. There is a lot of group work. The only thing I had a problem with is the projects. She changed the rules and made it very confusing to me. Other than that she is a good teacher.
What a great teacher! She's very clear and helpful, and she's more than willing to go out of her way to help you in this class. I'd definitely recommend her for college algebra!
I took this class online, and by far it was the best online class I have ever taken. She works with the students. She posts videos and documents to help study for upcoming quizzes and tests. She also sends out courtesy e-mails to remind students of upcoming due dates. LOVE this teacher and would recommend her to anyone!
Ms. Fujita is great! She moves pretty quickly so you've got to keep up, but she is extremely helpful. Buying the text book is not a must, but it comes in handy to study for the tests. BY FAR THE BEST MATH TEACHER AT HCC!
She is an amazing teacher! Yes you have to do group work, but it's easy and she drops your lowest project grade! She gives formula sheets and lets you choose between notes or an untimed test! She is very sweet, gives as much help as needed, and is very passionate about her job. She loves her students! If you try, you will pass!
I enjoyed Prof. Fujita's class. Stats is time consuming and you do need to study! However she provided you with all the formula's for exams plus let you bring a cheat sheet! I did not even have to take the final because I scored high enough on the other 3 exams! Homework and online quizzes were normally very easy, normally scored in the 90's!
Fujita was a great teacher, but if you want an A then you better be ready to work for it!! Their was only 6 A's in my class. The majority were C students. Going to the success center will help, A LOT! The tests are pretty straight forward. She gives you a review exactly like them the class before the test. She hands out a lot of extra credit.
MS. Fujita is a phenomenal teacher. She thoroughly understands the material ans can explain it several ways so you can comprehend. She is enthusiastic about math without being cheesy. I have received a better grade in this math class than any math in 15 years. I credit my hard work and her ability to clearly convey material.
Great professor, does an excellent job at explaining concepts. Took Statistics in an 8 week course and she made it possible to pass with an A. Just listen to her pencasts and do the homework, you'll do great.
She was very helpful and one of the most friendly & jolly teachers I've seen. I wish she taught other math classes. Love her!!!!
For my first year back in school, I am so glad that Fujita was by far my favorite! She was always so happy and helped whenever you needed it! Currently trying to find her to take my next class with her! RECOMMENDED, TAKE HER!
Loved her! Doesn't require homework, is always there to answer questions. There is group projects and groupwork but its painless. Drops the lowest test grade. Gives extra credit. Super nice and explains everything in a way everyone will understand and if you don't she will explain it until you do. She's a fair grader. Super fun and alwayd happy.
I am usually not the best at math. I get A's, but just barely. She makes math seem so crystal clear to me. She's so nice and has an adorably dorky sense of humor which makes me and other students laugh. She is fair, extremely knowledgeable, organized, and amazing. I would take her for every math class if that was an option.
Very good teacher!! She grades things very quickly and when you get assignments back she adds notes to ensure you understand what you messed up on. I though I was bad at math tell I took this class and realized good teaching is all I needed!
I found Stats very easy. There's a god about of homework, it's math, you need to do it. If you do, you'll fly through. There are AMPLE resources in the online class. Prof. Fujita is very quick to respond to questions. You can bring a one half sheet "cheat sheet" to exams, but formulas are also provided. Easy as pie, if you try.
Mrs Fujita is a wonderful professor I enjoyed her class, I do enjoy doing math and others around me were not well at math but she went nice and slow and made sure everyone understood everything. There is homework given and she usually gives you one week to complete, offers extra credit. She tries to give you as many points as possible to help!
I'm taking statistics online. Professor Fujita is amazing! She is always available for help through email, phone calls, or skype. You get lots of time and two chances on every quiz. Unlimited time on tests. She lets you use a sheet of paper with formulas, steps, and definitions for each quiz. It's obvious she wants her students to succeed!
She is very good at explaining new concepts and tying everything together. Very accessible.
Take her class!!!! Mrs. Fujita is truly one of the best math teachers out there. She really wants you to succeed in her class and is always quick to respond to any emails or questions. If you do your work and understand the material, you'll be fine.
Great professor! There is the usual amount of online homework, quizzes for every section, and 4 exams. I took Stats 2023 online with her and there were prerecorded lecture videos. Also, she posts tons of helpful materials to be successful. I am not good in math classes, but I was able to get by. I highly recommend!
A great professor but her teaching didnt suit my style of learning wouldnt recommend this choice. Quizzes are only 2 attempts and too much homework and exams. Weigh your options before picking her.
She's super nice but her lectures are so boring. If I learned anything, it is by going to the tutoring center. She's really annoying for not dropping any test grades. Her reviews are kind of like her tests so you can't fail, the end gets very hard though
I took this class online and I would take all of my math classes if they were as easy as this class. as long as you do your assignments, you should be fine for the tests. DO THE TEST REVIEW!! its so similar to the actual test. there were many useful resources and youre allowed to have a cheat sheet for the tests.
I really enjoyed the online format of Professor Fujita's class. There were several resources to use to learn the material, and she is very responsive in the discussion board. There are 3 tests that make up a huge portion of your grade, but if you utilize the test reviews and truly understand the material, you'll do well.
Taking stats online is tough. Pencasts were not helpful to me, but tutoring twice weekly at HCC saved my grade. Prepare to do homework nightly. Stay ahead and you get bonuses: extra credit, retake a quiz, etc. Check the discussion board daily. Prof Fujita worked w/ me when I got the flu so I didn't have to drop. Ended up with a high A.
This is to make corrections: 1. I do not give pop quizzes. There are two quiz attempts for the online class, but students can review work before the second attempt, ask questions, and even get an additional attempt if done early. 2. I do drop a test score. 3. All assgnmts are outlined in the syllabus, and the course is open 1+week early to explore
She doesn't drop a test grade. She makes the final sound like it's optional, but woman, if the final is just to replace a test grade, then say that, don't make it sound like the final is optional AND you drop a low test grade.
horrible class but great person
Online course & I had taken a 4 yr break from school. 3 Proctored tests counted for 70% of your grade. 12 homework assignments and 9 quizzes. Homework was easy since you can keep trying till you get a 100%. For the quizzes, you get 2 tries. I would deff take her again! I got a D for the first 2 tests and an F the third one, and I still passed!
Overall, Fujita is a fair. She does let you the preview class and drops the lowest test, quizzes. I worked hard to get an A... Do not get caught slipping on your tests because it's 70% of your grade. I messed up on my 1st exam and scored a 70%...I ended up taking the final (optional) to replace my 70% so that I could earn an A- I did it, barely!
Professor Fujita is a gem.. I have not met a professor nearly as caring as her. If you're having trouble grasping concepts in her class she will take the time out of her day to help you understand. Put in the work, you'll get the A.
Professor Fujita is a caring professor . She will make sure you understand the lecture. When I have a question, she always help. Shes very nice. As long as you do your homework on time and do practice test or quiz before the test, you would easily have an A
Was very interactive with class and nice; always available to help. I only emailed her once to correct an error and she replied right away and fixed it. Gives several E.C. opportunities! The hw is due every Tues & Thurs; do hw & study and you'll do fine. 2 mandatory exams (I got 91 & 90 and I'm ok at math) and 3rd to replace lowest test (optional).
We would have lectures and group assignments once a week. Pretty easy class. Professor Fujita is really good at explaining concepts and shes more than willing to help you individually. She would randomly give extra credit opportunities at the end of lectures. She drops your lowest test grade. I would take her again. Shes really nice and easy goin
VERY structured. 4 due dates a week. Gives you opportunities to earn points and is very fair with her grading. She allows a provided formula sheet during honorlock which was greatly appreciated. She is always available to help via zoom, phone or email for all questions! It's a lot of studying and work but she is there to help! I recommend her!
She is one of the few classes i will be taking in person. she was amazing. One of the best teachers i have ever had. She has group assignments in class where u practice the chapter. It helps so much. I would learn everything then. She will drop your lowest test grade if u take the exam. I choose not to take the exam.
DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU'RE NOT A MATH PERSON. Online version has her make you zoom in so she can watch you during the tests. She makes this so much harder than it needs to be. Book is awful and explanations, "help" is worse. She's nice but take another teacher if you want to pass, especially if math isn't your thing. Class is full of irrelevant info
I managed to get an A in Professor Fujita's online class. She drops lowest quiz and test scores. Her lectures on each chapter section are great. I never even had to read from the book because her lectures covered it all so well. Homework problems can be done over and over until you get them right. Fantastic teacher, would recommend.
Prof Fujita is so great. You can tell she wants her students to be successful. Check discussions for EC. Offers reviews before exams, provides detailed PowerPoints, and will meet with you on zoom anytime if you need help. Drops lowest exam score/final is optional if you have a good grade going into it. Highly recommend her!!
Do not take her. Your test is under honor lock and then she wants you to open the zoom while you're taking the test. She gives comments that you never said on the discussion board.
Professor Fujita is a great professor. Her class isnt easy, and she makes it so that you actually have to learn to get a good grade. Her exams are on Honorlock and Zoom with the class so she can make sure youre not cheating. She offers extra credit points through discussions, so you have to look out for those. There are 3 chances for quizzes.
She's not an easy professor and not helpful. Test on honorlock and zoom. Please find another teacher. DO NOT TAKE HER!
HORRIBLE TEACHER. I am not finished taking her class and I am not recommending you take her class. If you have an option, find another teacher. The test is in HONOLOCK and ZOOM. She wants to see everything on your desk and your surroundings if youre cheating. DO NOT TAKE HER.
All 3 tests and finals are under honor lock. She'll ask you to sign in the Zoom to make sure you're not cheating. What is the use of honor lock if she doesn't trust the system? You can't focus on taking the test while she's watching you. She doesn't care if you fail the test. She's not a helpful professor. I regret taking her class.
She was one of the more easier math professors I have taken. The class structure is really organized and homework is pretty much set for everyday, but they are usually only a few questions so you could knock them out pretty easily. If you do tend to struggle in math I would try to go to her office hours she's pretty nice, but she was great for me!
She wasn't really good or bad. I didn't feel like she put much effort into the class, but definitely wasn't unreasonable. Overall it wasn't bad.
I actually enjoy this class! She is very helpful in emails and even kindly provides resources if asked. Homework is a breeze. Just pay attention to her videos specifically. She explains very well!
lots amount of homework and does not teach anything
Professor Fujita was great. I struggled a lot but managed to get an A. She drops lowest project and test grade. I did find her tests really hard, but if you study, you should do well. Her lectures were really good so make sure you pay attention to those.
I really enjoyed Prof. Fujita's course. Every lecture was communicated clearly and I am still using many topics from her course in higher lever math classes today. You can watch all of her pre-recorded lectures online if you ever miss something in class as well. I would highly recommended her to anyone who needs to complete MAC-1005.
The three tests are 60% of your grade so you NEED to study for them. There are 5 projects in the class that are a big part of your grade, she will help you with them if you don't understand what to do and give you chances to resubmit if you did poorly. There's a lot of homework every week, but she will do one on one sessions if you need extra help.
Do not take this professor...
The class was decent overall. It would be helpful if we were allowed to add small notes to our formula sheets for upcoming tests, especially for Statistics Test #3, since there's so much to learn and remember, but unfortunately, she doesn't allow that. As for the projects, they were okay, but the pace felt a little rushed.
She is a great professor. She really cares about the students in her class and is willing to take extra time to ensure each student gets a clear understanding of what we are learning. She is very encouraging and seems excited to teach every class without fail. I would absolutely recommend!
Really understanding about scores and assignments. Just need to communicate. STUDY for the honor lock tests worth to 75% of your grade. But helped me reach and A and curved. Just ask.
Every topic has its own badge of videos and explanations just to make sure the students understand what he needs to do. Thankfully, the professor was there when you need her always. But the Pearson website is kinda annoying. Just be careful when you type your answers. The answer needs to be the EXACT way the website needs.
Professor Fujita runs a structured course with lots of homework, but she offers helpful one-on-one sessions if needed. Tests are challenging, but she drops the lowest grade. I found unstuck study and the lecture videos very useful for preparing.
She will make time for tutoring outside of her normal tutoring hours if you really need it. Explains how and why to do things to help fully understand. tests are hard, so make sure to do homework and stay on top of studying. She drops a test grade.
Tina Fujita was always rewarding us for good grades, staying later in class to explain in case we didn't understand something, and giving us opportunities for extra credit. I would definitely take her class again.
Tina is an amazing math teacher. I was nervous at first with taking College Algebra but she made is so easy for me. You really have to put in the work though as there is a lot of homework and you have to study hard for tests.
I'm not very good at math but Mrs.Fujita really helped make the content understandable. Your grade is very reliant on exams so be sure to review the material and practice assignments at home. If you put in the effort, you will do great in this class! Mrs. Fujita makes math fun.
Makes College Algebra way harder than it needs to be. Her Honorlock rules are excessive and make the class unnecessarily stressful. Wouldn't take her again.
College Algebra is easy it's the honorlock system and the chaotic due dates that makes this class confusing. She would have three light quizzes due each week but the dates vary. Tests are not proctored but all chapter exams are. She's way too strict on honorlock and she actually puts in 0s if you don't have your camera set up correctly.
I took this class online, she uses mymathlab, the reviews don't match the tests at all, and the tests are unnecessarily difficult. She has a ton of homework assignments and her honorlock rules are impossible to follow, it keeps pausing the test everytime you look away from the screen to write something on paper.
One of the best math teachers I've had in a long time! She genuinely cares about helping her students pass and does whatever she can to help. The course work can be a lot at times, but I can always reach out to her for any questions I have. Anyone can do well in the class as long as they pay attention and get the homework and quizzes done.
Professor Fugita was amazing ! I cannot say enough nice things about her. She truly does care about her students. She's patient l, understanding and available for help. She never hesitated to make sure I understood what I needed to pass . I appreciate her !!
