She was a good teacher at first. As the semester went on it went from bad to worse. We only did 2 labs the entire semester. She teaches straight out of the book. She couldn't answer some of our questions because she didn't know the answer herself. Would not recommend.
Good professor, explained exactly what was expected of us.
Good professor, I would reccomend her. She provided useful study guides and summary tables. She did lecture straight from the book, but we knew exactly what to expect on exams.
she offers study guides but be ready to study on your own , class is so boring does not teach well.
WONDERFUL TEACHER! Extremely helpful, but barely need help because she is crystal clear when lecturing. Explains things to where anyone can understand them. Anatomy isn't an easy class, but I felt like she made it easier. Would definitely take her again!
I took both A&P I & II with professor Davis. I could not have made the grades I made, maintaining "A"s in all of my courses, had it not been for her passion and love of teaching. I look back at the beginning of this year and this journey and know that her teaching methods were instrumental in setting the pace. The journal entries are key.
LOVE Prof Davis! Class consisted of journal entries (coloring/labeling), a few labs, 7 tests (1 dropped) and some extra credit work. She is very nice and will help you if you ask. Tests are from journal/notes/text. You DO HAVE TO STUDY but if you make effort an A or B is definitely possible! Would take again!!
Excellent teacher! Rearranged my work schedule so I can take her for A&P II. She is very informative and you actually LEARN in her class. Highly recommend her!!
I took Prof Davis's hybrid class summer semester that met 4 times. Prof Davis tells you what to study for the exams and will explain until you understand. I made an A and did study A LOT. I wish I had taken her for A&P 1. I would highly recommend her. You won't regret it.
I took professor Davis for Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2. I'd say she's tough but fair. I didn't hate going to class. What I liked most about her is that she wants her students to succeed. She tells you what she expects and helps you meet her expectations. I learned a lot and made good grades. :)
An amazing teacher! she gives you a lot of work but makes it all interesting. She wants her students to succeed and gives her students every chance to succeed.
Prof Davis is an excellent teacher! Took her for A&P 1&2, she is hard but fair and you will learn so much from her. I would highly recommend her. A&P1 was my 1st class in 15 yrs but ended up with academic excellence from her class. You do have to work hard and study but you will learn so much from Prof Davis
This is my second semester taking her for anatomy and physiology 1 and 2. She is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her to anybody. Teaching style is great and not only that in almost every chapter we covered there was something hands; which I really like. Her test are directly from the journal entries and online assignment
Awesome class. I am taking her for Anatomy 2 and I love it. I love her style of lectures, they are not straight power point like some professors lectures are. The tests are straight from her lectures and the journal entries that we do for homework/studying purposes.
Tina Davis was awesome! I had her for anp1 and 2. She gives extra credit and she makes sure we understand the material! Test are all multiple choice, and she even drops the lowest test grade!Highly recommended her!! Wish she taught all my other classes!
A true teacher. She takes a keen interest in the success of her students, readily available to answer any questions and clear any ambiguity. If there is still question, she will explain the subject from a different angle until understood. Do not fall behind in journal assignments. More than fair, wish she taught all my classes... TAKE HER!
Professor Davis is an awesome teacher. She is extremely helpful and actually cares about her students. I will say this, do not expect an easy A. You have to do the work and study.
Very clear, concise, enthusiastic. Good teaching techniques.
Professor Davis is a great teacher. Her class is fun and you learn a lot. You have to work for your grade, but an A is not heard to achieve if you just study and do the journals.
This is probably the best professor I have ever had. She has excellent teaching skills and utilizes many training delivery methods to enhance learning. Very motivating and helpful! This class is a lot of work but the expectations are clear. Your grade will reflect the level of effort you put forth.
I had Professor Davis for both A&P 1 and 2. She is just that amazing! I love her class and always look forward to it. She will help you with whatever you need and involves different ways to teach the subject. It can be a lot of work but tells you just what is expected. Most def would take her again if I could and recommend her to everybody!
Mrs. Davis is one of those fun teachers. She's pretty normal compared to other angry and coconutty professors. As long as you read your chapters you'll be fine.
Prof. Davis was great! You have to study hard, but she is more than willing to help and take the time to explain the concepts until you get them. We had multiple hands-on experiences including the opportunity to dissect deer at White Oak Conservation Center!! That was awesome!
Loved her class! The journals are very time consuming but worth it. The tests come from her notes and the journals so if you study an A or B is definate. Great teacher because she is dedicated to helping her students and making sure they pass and have the right tools to learn. Definately Recommend!!
I had Prof. Davis for A & P I & II. I would take her class again. She wants her students to succeed. She responds to emails quickly. Journals are time consuming, but they are the key to passing each test. She tells you what she expects and helps you meet her expectations. I learned a lot and made good grades. This is a class you will enjoy.
Professor Davis is an excellent teacher. Expect to do some hard work. She makes sure her students know the material.
I chose this professor for A&P I from this site. I am taking her for A&P II because she is that good. She answers questions, she explains what you need her to, she responds promptly and I love her class. The journal is time consuming, but it really helps to learn the material. She cares about her students, especially if she knows they are trying.
Excellent professor! Organized, very helpful. Stickler for attendance and deadlines. Go to class, complete your assignments and you can easily make an A or B in this class.
Take her!!!!! You have to work for the grade but she is the most straight forward teacher you will find for A&P!!! Do extra credit and and journals (easy points) but you have to study for quizzes. And you have a quiz drop!!!
I took Prof. Davis for A&P I and II. She was very hard in both classes but the journal does help with passing the test if you do a great job collecting the information. She gave a lot of extra credit in A&PI but little in II. Be prepared that she gives 15 hrs a wk of homework. Don't take w/ another Hard class. A&PII was difficult. .She's great !
Requires too much work extremely hard !!!!!
Amazing teacher! If you do not pass this class it is simply because you are lazy. Professor Davis gives you all the info and help you need and also offers extra credit. It is a lot of work but if you stay on top of it and study you should have no problem making an A
I'm taking professor Davis right now. She is amazing! I've never had a professor that was so crystal clear about everything. Journals are a lot of work but truly help with studying for exams. Quizzes are all based on effort and done as a group. One drop test and one online test (not timed). I would highly recommend her!
Waaaaay to much work. Alot of busy work for a full time student. Expects you to know everything.
Professor Davis's class is not easy. If you don't like to study or do homework you will fail; however, she doesn't make you do assignments that don't pertain to what your learning about. She makes class as interesting as possible and does review games for the test and gives plenty of extra credit assignments to help your grade. Awesome teacher!!!!
BSC2086 is not an easy class and there is a lot of material. If you do the journals and go to her lectures, you can pull out an A. I was able to get over 20 extra credit throughout the course. The journals do take time, but they really help you to grasp the material. The tests are directly from the journals that she assigns.
Davis Tina truly know how to teach A&P her teaching method deal with real life circumstances that I allowed the students to visualize how their body functions works. She should have a class to teach other professors how to teach.
There is a lot of homework to cover but it's mainly online. Each journal entry takes a couple of evenings to complete and there are 4 for the entire semester (not hard to finish). Tests are straightforward and all here test notes are online. Go to class and earn the extra credit points. Easy A if you do your part.
Class is easy if you take pride in the quality of work you turn in. Course is clearly outlined and teacher responds immediately to any questions via text message.
This teacher is awesome! She makes class fun and much easier than other A&P teachers. Of course, you will have a lot of studying and work (more than class than the teacher), but all in all, it's a great class and not too hard if you aren't lazy. Highly recommend.
Hard class, but great professor! Be prepared for a lot of work!
Great Prof, This is the class you take to know anatomy, not for an easy A. Caution to full time parents/job/Student. Work load will require more out of class time than normal. Prof will work with you though. Highly recommend. A is doable but be ready work.
where do i start first off she really boring second she gives alot of work then she thinks you are in preschool with all the coloring and journal work i would not recommend her to anyone i dropped her class and no other prof made me do all the foolishness that comes along with her class pls pls pls stay away
She lets you use older versions of the textbook, that saved me lots of money! She is available by text if you have a question and gets back to you very quickly. She expects you to put forth the effort and do the journal assignments, it was overwhelming at first but once I got in the grove, I loved the journal work, it helped a lot on the exams!! 3
I would have gotten an A if I had turned in the research papers and gotten at least a 50% on both. She basically splits your grade so it's half journal and half tests, but if you do the journals well and study them there's no way you won't do well on the test. Show up to class, do the journals, and do the research papers (kicking myself) get an A.
I'm still enrolled in her anatomy 2 class and frankly I hate it. I'm not lazy, I work very hard to earn my grades. This professor gives you an enormous amount of work for journal entries and tells you to study from them but then she'll only pull like 5 questions from the journals; other than the diagrams. I hate this class and I wish I had dropped.
Hybrid course has a lot of work. Tests are hard. Expectations of students are high, yet it sometimes took WEEKS for this professor to grade submitted work! She does not show the dedication to students that she expects from them! I would not take her again, nor recommend her!
This professor is absolutely wonder. I recommend her to any and everyone who has to take anatomy 2. She's great with lectures, gives extra credit , and I love the labs. The work isn't hard but it is a lot and very time consuming so I recommend taking this class with easy classes that doesn't require much of your time .
Professor Davis is great! you have to keep up with a journal of pictures in the book and its 30% of your grade. Its so easy! Tests come straight from the journal, i wish i figured that out sooner! Lectures may be long, but they are not boring! Class always ends early too.
Study guides were on point and the journals really help.
Her study guide was on point and the journals really help.
Good professor she balances the journals homework with test
Good professor
Tests are very hard, and not many of her lectures cover everything on the tests. If you study and work hard for your grade you will be okay. Journals are time consuming and almost pointless but that is where you get most points for her class.
have to work for grade. Journals are long but that is where most of the points in the class come from.
Great teacher, but expect to work. She drops a test grade, tests involve labs which are fun. Journals time consuming, although you learn it. Two research papers. Tests were super easy to study for because she puts guidelines on the review sheet and mostly picks easy stuff for tests (I think). Gives extra credit. Simpler version of anatomy II.
Professor Davis is a excellent teacher. You will learn material in this class. She teaches exactly what you you need to know and makes sure you understand and open to questions. She gives out cell just so we can get in touch with her about anything as far as the class goes. She's clear and thorough. She will make you work for it, but its worth it.
Tests are really tough, so study in advance.
I would take her again. Love this class
Worth the drive!! Fair and clear expectations 12 exam 12 journal & lab work. The journal really helps you learn the concepts and prepare for the exams. You will walk away with a good understanding of how the body works, preparing you for the next step. I've used the journal we made in my other classes, pathophysiology, pharmacology.... Excellent!
I thought that the class was interesting. There were some great discussions.
It was an online class that is why the homework.
If you need someone who really teaches, take Ms. David, she explains chapters in a clear and resumed manner with ideas that help you remember the content easily , the journal entries that she assigns require time, but that is exactly what comes in the tests and the idea of the journals makes you learn while you make them. She is the best teacher!!
Only about four tests, but they can be difficult. Journal entries count more than your tests so do not slack on those, but they can save your grade if you end up doing poorly on the tests. Never seemed enthused about teaching our class, but I'm sure if you needed assistance she would help you out.
Professor Davis is one of the best teachers I have had in my 11 semesters of schooling both at FSCJ and UNF. I'm taking her again this semester. She has a clear expectation of what it takes to pass her class and is willing to work with you to help you pass. Her Journals seem long, but the input is well worth what you learn and retain because of it.
Journals are super important. DO NOT SLACK ON THOSE. I failed every test, did my journal perfectly and passed with a C. Can be strict
Grading is 40% journals 60% tests. lowest test score is dropped (including the final). Don't wait until last minute to do journals! They take a lot of time to do. The journals help a lot with tests, put effort in. She is down to earth and willing to help you if needed. Tests can be tough. She gets mixed up sometimes, so read the book just incase.
Professor Davis is one of the best teachers in all of North Florida. She really knows the material and knows how to make sure you actually learn it. Journals are big for her and they really help you. If you do the work and show up for class, you will pass. I took her for Anatomy 1 and 2 and I loved her both times. I've already recommended her.
When taking her online course, she does not want you to reach out to her other than by text during her set hours. However, I feel that she is inconvenienced when you do text her. She doesn't give good feedback and she seems pretty rude. Make sure to do the assignments. Tests are hard, but if you do all of the assignments on time, you'll be fine.
She gives clear expectations. Journals are worth 50% of the grade, Exams 50%, you get to drop the lowest exam score. She makes lectures interesting so you can remember. We did hands on learning in lab and for practice. Journal prepares you for the exams. I am in nursing school now and I know more than my peers about anatomy. It helps!
If you take her class, I recommend ONLY taking her class and not take multiple classes. She overloads coursework. She will often assign 2 chapters worth of work due in 1 week: 2 chapters worth of reading 30-60+ pg chapters, 2 discussions plus 6 responses, 2 lab assignments & 2 quizzes due. The pace was so fast, I feel like I didn't learn anything.
She gave us 4 tests and dropped the lowest one. Had us buy expensive books and we only used the lab book. Flew through power points, cancelled class often. I actually wanted to learn and had to spend my own time teaching myself. Tests were 25 questions focused on two topics of the 30 she shoved into a PowerPoint. Still got an A but didn't learn.
I had professor Davis for A&P I and A&P II. I feel like I learned a lot in her class. She gave clear expectations, she was ready to stay after class and talk about questions. Great lectures that explained the topics well. 4 tests, drop the lowest. Journal work will help with tests and understanding the information.
Good teacher.
Shes awesome! Took her for human anatomy 1 & 2 and bio 1. Very clear on what we need to know. Great lectures. Works with her students. One of my favorites here! Complete and study your journal and you'll pass the class with flying colors. Take her any chance you get.
Prof. Davis is AHMAZING!!! Clear, concise, PATIENT!!! Wants you to understand the material but doesn't "overteach" it!!! Your journal work will be your best friend. Spend the extra time it takes to do it right and you will have the best study guide available. Will be taking her again for any science class she teaches!!!
She made the class enjoyable. She's approachable and will answer questions if you have any. Your journals are the best study tool. So do them! The test aren't terrible as long as you study. Always laughing in that class!
Lecture then lab every other day. Only grades are journal checks and tests.
She's a fair woman, only asks what would be normally expected of you and makes clear outlines for what you need to do. She works with you and is very easy to reach.
I really enjoyed this class, but it does involve a great deal of studying and focus. Ms. Davis presents the information in a number of different ways, which helps to ensure that each of us learns in the best way for "us". I will miss her classes, because her expectations are clear and her energy is always positive!
One my favorite Professors ever. I've taken her for BSC2085c & BSC2086c. The lectures are long but she gives you EVERYTHING you would need to study and pass test. Journals are very important and help you tremendously on test. She cares about her students and gives opportunities for extra credit.
Loved her for both A & P 1 and 2! Make sure you do the journals completely! The notes and lectures are very helpful for completing the journals so make sure to take notes during the lectures on top of the notes she gives you!
Absolutely loved this class! Studying for tests is not an option though. However your lowest test grade is dropped at the end of the semester so that rocks :)
Come to class do our work and you will pass. Journals are important and a great study tool. If you attend all her lectures and do you journals you will have no problems passing her class. Great professor!
I love Professor Davis, she is so caring and makes learning fun. This is my second time taking her class. The journals are LIFE SAVERS do not take it fore granted. She drops your lowest test. I made an 94 last semester and I am right there at an A this semester. You won't regret taking her class if you want to do well in your program!
Prof is awesome. If you want to learn w/out a truly heavy load, she is the one! I took her a couple semesters ago but had to w/d bc I was overwhelmed w/ personal stuff and other classes. But I will tell you...I refused to take any other Professor until I could get back in her class! She wants her students to succeed and her lectures are interesting
Professor Davis is AMAZING!!!! She cares about her students. She goes above and beyond . Clearly goes over all the material that is needed to complete the class with a passing grade. I have taken two classes with her BSC 2085C and BSC 2086C. I've did well in both classes. I could not be more thankful . It has been a great experience.
Dr. Davis made the material easy to learn and made the lectures fun. She helped us whenever we needed it even after hours and she gives you everything necessary to be successful in the class.
Prof. Davis was always professional, and extremely nice. She gives you all the criteria you need up front, first thing, so that you have everything to be successful in this class. If you do as she says, you'll make an A, I'd take her again.
Journals are the only homework you have. If you keep up with it there really isn't too much homework.
She is understanding if something comes up and you can't make it to a class. She allows you to come to one of here other scheduled classes or makeup up the work or get the notes from a classmate. Her lectures are good and she goes into detail what you need to know for exams. I would highly recommend taking her.
I have taken Ms. Davis for 2 classes now and i love her. She really goes into detail with the lectures and you will leave understanding everything she just talked about.
Tina is one of the best teachers I've ever had
Great teacher! Would definitely take again!
Prof Davis was amazing!! I skipped like 4 classes and still managed to earn a B+. Journals will be your best friend if you do them correctly. Her exams are basically journal entries and the labs. She drops an exam grade & allows journals to be late if you miss an exam. Can't wait to take another class with her.
This professor is amazing! I took her during the summer, so we had fewer weeks to learn the material than during the fall or spring semesters, but she made it so easy! You are only graded on journal entries in a composition notebook and your tests. As long as you do the work, which is really easy, and study the material, you will get an easy A!
I love Prof. Davis! This was my second course I took of hers and loved it. You have 4 exams, all based off the journal that you do through out the course, which is your only homework. She lets you turn your journal in late if need be and her tests aren't that hard if you go to class. The only thing that sucked was the final bc its not her test.
Professor Davis is really laid back. She didnt expect us to turn in our research papers in on time or even our take home test, in which was very easy. She drops your lowest test grade as well. I would advise keeping up with your journal and even though coming to class isnt mandatory, you do miss a lot.
Such a fantastic teacher the best I've ever had at this college ! She lectures well and cares if your struggling to understand.
She is very understand and helps you if you need it! Half of the class is coloring diagrams and filling out journals, the other half is tests, no quizzes. Her lectures are worth listening to benefit from it! If you need anatomy 1 or 2 take prof. Davis!!
This class is one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken! You learn a lot from her through her lectures. Half of the class is completing journals and the other is testing. As long as you do what was asked you will get a good grade! Shes an amazing teacher and if you need anatomy 1 or 2 take prof. Davis!!! You will love her!
I took her API class as well. Great professor! Chill and understanding. You WILL work in this class. There is a lot to learn but Professor Davis is the bomb dot com If you put in (a very reasonable -- nothing crazy) amount of time, you will succeed!
Professor Davis is the most understanding professor I have ever had. She did really well on explaining the material as well as making sure that what was expected was clear. 10/10 would take her class again.
Professor Davis is very nice and understanding if you are not clear about something. There are multiple journal entries that help your grade and the directions are clear on them. The tests are difficult sometimes, so you should try to study for them. Overall, she was a great person and teacher and I would love to have her again!
Professors Davis is a brilliant teacher, Passionate, optimistic and most of all very help full. She guided me all through semester. She would let me know if I was doing a wonderful job on my discussions. Overall, she is a very good teacher and wonderful person. I recommend her to other students. J. White. Spring 2018-BSC2086C-Human Anatomy and P
Professor Davis is amazing! She cares about her students and wants for them to exceed. You do have to do journal entries but they help so much with the test. I would definitely recommend her to anyone having to take A&P2!
Professor Davis is an amazing teacher. Make sure you do your journal according to instruction. Counts for 45% of your grade and is an excellent study guide for test. I took this Professor for A&P 1 and 2. I would defiantly recommend this professor. there are no test makeups so you must be present on test days. Attendants is required
Proffessor Davis is a good teacher. She helps you to understand the material by assigning the class journals. The journals are very time consuming but worth it because they help you immensely with the tests.
Very easy going! makes you do journals that are very time consuming, but help so much on tests. Gives you study guides and prints out notes for you.
Professor Davis is a wonderful teacher and helps you to understand the subject of Anatomy and Physiology. She was a great help to me during the difficult points of the semester, loved this class and how willing she was to work with all of her students. She wants you to do well and it is definitely possible if you put in the work.
Prof. Davis is great at responding to texts and emails, and she makes the expectations very clear. Don't fall behind, especially on labs. She is a stickler for meeting the minimum word count on discussion boards too. Be professional and do what she says and you'll be fine.
Took Professor Davis online because of all the good reviews. The only way to get a quick response was texts. She was very slow at grading things, sometimes 3 weeks before a grade is posted and very rarely responds to emails. Also has a certain amount of coursework listed on the syllabus, but was graded on 10 extra assignments by the end of course.
do the notebook and study guide and you will get an A
Professor Davis is the best! I attempted a&p twice before I found her. She brings a level of organization that is needed in this subject & it works well, I actually learned stuff instead of stressing out the whole time. There is a textbook for this course but i never had to crack mine open as her lectures cover all of the content well.
I love this professor! Tests are literally your journal entrys or the quizzes she lets you take a week before your test!! I understand her lectures and felt like I actually learned! Got an A in anatomy 1 and taking her again for anatomy 2
Professor Davis is a solid teacher, I had taken her course online for Anatomy and Physiology 2, As long as you finish all the assignments for the class, and pass the two exams than you will pass the class, being that the class is online, the professor does not teach you or anything, she provides the book you will have to study and modules to review
I love Tina Davis! I took her for anatomy 1 and it was a breeze. Anatomy 2 is MUCH harder but I still attained an A in this class, she doesnt give extra credit for anatomy 2 but an A is still achievable as long as you study the journal entrys!
After reading all of the great reviews of Prof. Davis, I had to have her as my teacher for A&P1. She was very organized with the material on Bb. I managed to get an A in the class. 5 proctored exams, including the final. 2 DBQs. Quizzes for each module. Even managed to get extra credit somehow.
I LOVED Prof. Davis! She makes learning easy and is willing to go through a lot so your prepared for the exams, which with using the models was the easiest exams i ever had! You'll have to keep a journal of labs and notes but it will be your biggest ally for the class and the rest of you college career. Do the entries, show up to class, takes notes
Professor Davis was my first online science class, and i'm so glad it was her. Module quizzes (with extra credit points), 5 proctored exams, and very clear and concise about how she grades and what is needed to succeed. Very prompt at responding to any questions or concerns. Would 100% take her class again!
The Color-coded Laboratory Journals are a lot of work but taught me how to study anatomy and understand complex physiology concepts. I am still using the journal in the nursing program! Her lectures are easy to follow and she explains the concepts very well. I feel like I'm better prepared than many of my classmates who took someone else. <3 <3
Just too much homework. It took longer to make that notebook than the labs and tests.
I really enjoyed this class. She was available by text and responded quickly with any questions. There are a few proctored tests, some were easy and some were absolutely brutal. Managed to get an A, but definitely had to work for it. I wish her practice final would have been easier to study (it was 1600 questions). Other than that, amazing.
Great professor took her for 1 & 2 and she was amazing! Only homework you have is journals which are fairly easy just try not to get behind! She grades easy and wants you to pass. Anatomy 1 was way easier than 2. I failed every test in anatomy 2 but I did every journal and still made a 75. Def recommend!
Professor Tina S. Davis went above and beyond for our online class! I have never experienced a professor who was available at almost the drop of a hat. When I had a question or needed help, Professor Davis was always right there to answer and assist me in whatever way she could! I would recommend Professor Davis to everyone and anyone!
I love the journals that we do for class. Sometimes it is a pain and a lot of work, but it really does make studying easier and a great reference to look back to during your college years and beyond. That is, if you are going onto the medical field. Prof. Davis is very organized, has great lectures, available and easy to talk to. Take her!
I took her online 12 week Human Anatomy 1. She grades fairly and gives credit to anyone who turns in assignments late. For online it's simple, read the chapter and do the weekly assignments. If you have any questions she's a text away to explain. She's nurturing and talks about rescuing animals and teaching/homeschooling her kids which I respect
This teacher uses a journal method where you do journal entries on every chapter. It is a ton of work, there's a total of 6 tests, one gets dropped at the end. They are not cumulative but they are tough. You can turn work in up to 5 days late for full credit. The workload was too heavy with working full-time so I wouldn't take her again.
She responds back to emails, and gives out her personal phone number to reach her at all time. Easy class just do the work and you will pass. The test are materials cover in the journals so the test are supper easy. The journal entries are supper easy
I barely pulled a B in this class. There is A LOT of homework in this class. If you are taking other classes and have a job it will be a struggle to find time to do the homework. She has journals due every week and is VERY specific on what she wants done in her journals. She grades very tough and there were about 6 exams, all but one are proctored.
Would NOT recommend w/ a busy schedule or other busy classes. Several Journals due weekly and wants every detail colored in so its time consuming even during exam weeks. 7 total exams (one is split in half) all but one are proctored and one can be dropped. She gives study guides for exams but changes the info on the actual exam so its pointless. C
Mrs. Davis knows her anatomy. She has a clear grading criteria and knows exactly what she wants in journal entries. It is very time consuming and tedious, but its all worth it. You have to work hard to make an A in this class. This isnt an easy A, but if you are determined its 100% doable. She responds every time and will help you learn!
Professor Davis is straight forward from the start what she expects of you. If you want an A, you will work for it. She responds back quickly, by text, with any questions you may have. The journal is time consuming, but is used to study for exams. You will get to drop one exam grade. I would not advise to have other classes along with this one.
LOVE! I took Prof Davis for A&P 1 and 2 and she is amazing. The class is difficult, but if you do the work and study you will do well. She provides everything needed for success. She gives out her cell phone number to text whenever you need help. I would 12/10 recommend her if you are willing to put in the time and effort!
I took professor for anatomy 1&2 and I did way better than I ever expected. The homework is only journal entries (coloring, labeling, describing) helped ALOT. The proctored tests are easy/short compared to most anatomy classes. A few extra credit opportunities and has a 3day late work policy. Shes super helpful and easy to reach.
I took Professor Davis for AP1&2. This class is not going to be easy or passive learning but Professor Davis explains things thoroughly. Journals you do are very helpful as well as her lectures. She gives study guides on the tests. However, I was taking for other classes at the time and I made an A and if I can do it I believe anybody can do it.
I recommend taking Professor Davis 100%. I had a problem with my final grades and she was able to help me out. She is very accessible outside of the classroom and will help you with anything. She has journals each week that seem like a lot but really help you with the tests. I will definitely be keeping my journal. Best teacher I have had at FSCJ
Prof. Tina Davis is now Prof. Tina Jenkins.
I took prof. Jenkins for both AP1 & AP2. They're both hard classes but if you put in the effort, do the homework and study the material you will pass. There's a lot of material to cover but she does it well. Clear, concise and sets clear/realistic expectations and due dates. If you're going to be taking Anatomy at any point, take her!
Professor Jenkins is an amazing educator and person. She is great at explaining Anatomy and all the things that go along with it. She has her own way of instilling the information in her students. I would take her again in a heart beat.
Took it online. Self paced w hw due Sundays. Lectures aren't necessary, basically teaching yourself. Tests aren't hard if you study and do the journals, which are the only hw assignment but v excessive & her grading is extremely specific. Fine for just getting through the class, but if u rly wanna learn recommend in person/different teacher.
Prof. Jenkins is an amazing instructor. She has her students keep a journal of assignments (you have to color) to assist with studying. I will be able to refence back to mine for years to come. The class content is not easy! but Prof. Jenkins makes it easy to learn. This was the toughest yet easiest class I have had. Already registered for APII.
Professor Jenkins is one of the best. Pay attention to lectures and do the work, especially the journals. I didn't think I would use the journal ever again but I was 100% wrong. I was accepted into the nursing (ASN) program, and my journal has become a very useful tool in brushing up on much needed knowledge of certain body systems. Take her!
If you have a specific way of studying, you have to throw it out for this class. She forces you to study the method she thinks is best and you have to invest at least 15 hours a week to studying how she expects you to. If you have a social life or work, DO NOT take this class. Also, you have to make your journal perfect or less the grade docked 20%
Professor Jenkins has a genuine passion for education and cares for her students. Anatomy & Physiology is the foundational knowledge for healthcare. When you think about the type of person you want caring for those you love, do you want this to be someone that took google fiesta courses? We need less idiot sandwiches in healthcare! Take Jenkins!
tons of work but overall great teacher and class, its up to you to earn the grade you want. the assignments are extensive so do not take with more than one class if you work full time.
Absolutely amazing Professor. Anatomy and physiology are not an easy subjects. Professor Jenkins gives you everything that you need to know to succeed in this class. If you are serious about education and willing to do your job you going to love her class. She is wonderful!
The homework is easy but very time consuming. As long as you make sure to study the tests aren't too bad either. She makes herself available outside of classes too and answers quickly.
Professor Jenkins is AMAZING. 6 exams (one is split into two) she will drop one exam for you. Only HW is journal work. It is time-consuming, as long as you put in the effort you're rewarded with an A. She gives out her cell number and is very responsive! I enjoyed her so much for AP I, I signed up for AP II with her before the class even ended,
Mrs. Jenkins was a great professor. I took her for Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II during the summer and fall term 2022. I miss her and my classmates already. Professor was caring, respectable and understanding. she is not a grade giver, so you get what you earned. Having said that professor do make sure you obtain all information, so study.
She had us do a journal, which was not only extremely helpful in learning the information, but also sort of fun! Uses a variety of teaching resources and plenty of practice opportunities. Lots of exams, but some of them are open note. Some are very difficult, others are very easy. Fun personality and very responsive. Wish I had her for anatomy I!
Great professor! The lecture is heavy, but it's done to help and prepare us. She's very caring and always makes sure her students are doing well in class as well as understanding.
Professor Jenkins is a great Anatomy teacher. She recognizes that the subject requires a lot of memorization and gives you many tools to help the information stick in your head. The amount of homework in this class is heavy but helpful. OTOH, I am not a visual learner so I found the hours of journal work every week unecessary and exhausting.
TAKEHER! I did for AP I&II. Course is set up with tools for success you don't do them you won't be successful Lowest exam is dropped in each class, the ONLY homework is for a journal which is so helpful and I will/am using it in nursing school. The journal is ALL EFFORT. If you don't put it in you won't score points. It's time-consuming but easy.
Lots of proctored tests and journaling. I thought the journals were pointless at 1st but they really helped!
I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Exams/tests of course make up a major bulk of the final grade, and there were about 8 exams. The amount of exams was an adjustment, my past courses were more quiz-heavy. You must study hard to get a decent/good grade on the exams and they are proctored and not open book.Good course and prof. but come prepared.
Amazing professor! The lectures are a lot of information but very thorough. The most important things to do are to study and keep your journal updated. The journal entries take a lot of time but they are super detailed and become a good study tool. Most of the exams are proctored so memorization is key. STUDY A LOT!
Professor Jenkins is an amazing professor. She cares about your success and presents the material in a way that is interesting and effective. There are journals you will complete weekly which can require a lot of work so do not procrastinate them. Take the journals seriously and they will help you understand and comprehend the material presented.
Excellent professor, helps me believe that I can finish school.
I took Prof.Jenkins for both AP1 and 2. I knew this was going to be a difficult class, but she made it very interesting and easy to learn. The workload included 4-6 journals, this was labeling and coloring anatomy, dissections, and exams. The exams were based on the journals and lectures. I would definitely recommend her for this class!
Prof. Jenkins is a chef's kiss of a professor. The class is structured wonderfully and everything is easy to follow but like any college course you have to do your part and do the work. I took her for AP2 and wish I had the opportunity to take her for AP1. The journal entries she assigns are invaluable. Take her!!
The journals are alot of work but they are so helpful with learning in the long run. Her class does require time and some dedication. But she was a great teacher and offered multiple strategies for learning how to remember certain things. The labs are so fun and super educational.
I love her so much and she is the best. I took A&P 1 at Santa Fe and failed and when I passed Jenkins class with an A, I was over the moon ecstatic. She is the best and knows what she's talking about. I am taking her in the spring for A&P 2
TAKE HER!! I took professor Jenkins for both Anatomy1&2 and I'd do it all over again with her! I previously had taken AP1 twice with a different professor & failed both times. She does assign alot of hw but its never hard at all, lectures go by quick 10/10 recommend this professor she truly loves what she does.
Professor Jenkins is the best teacher I have ever had. She is incredibly supportive. She is easily accessible and teaches in a way that helps everyone retain the information they are learning. The courses are homework heavy and the course does require a lot of work but the material is important in the health care field.
This class is very note heavy so be prepared to write. But as long as you do the work and review your notes you will pass the class. The textbook is online and that is also beneficial. She is the nicest professor I have encountered in my whole college career and goes above and beyond for her students. If you're looking for an A&P pro take this class
If you truly want to learn the information presented in an Anatomy & Physiology course, take Professor Jenkins. She does an excellent job breaking down concepts, making the information digestible. She provides her own video lectures, and breaks the information down further in class. If she offered more classes I would take her in a heartbeat.
I took her for anatomy I and I really enjoyed Professor Jenkins class. Hence why I'm back for Anatomy 2. She really tries to make learning the material fun and easy to understand. It's a hybrid class so doing online notes before the lectured class can help you maintain the information better.
I adore Professor Jenkin's class. I was nervous about taking Anatomy but she made sure you can understand the material. There are lecture videos and Homework assignments you do every week. The Homework can be a lot since she has us make a Journal with all the information we need to look back on in our future careers. I deff recommend her.
Absolutely amazing professor. You can tell she cares about what she is teaching. She wants you to understand the material and will help you do so. She was incredibly nice and welcoming, honestly wish I had taken A&P I with her too!
Prof. Jenkins is an awesome anatomy professor. The workload is heavy but manageable - lots of journals, exams, and dissections. The lectures are engaging, and the journals are super helpful study tools. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for prep!
Professor Jenkins runs a tight ship, but the workload is manageable if you stay on top of your journal entries. The exams can be tough, but unstuck ai and the textbook make great study aids. Worth taking for an engaging anatomy experience.
Mrs. Jenkins was an amazing first teacher for anatomy, she was very understanding with personal matters. I highly recommend her and I cant wait to take her again for anatomy II. As long as you take notes and do the work you will be just fine, first and last exam are open note the rest are proctored.
The journal is a big project and requires time and effort. There is plenty of material to make sure that you are prepared for the exams, but you will need to make sure that you take the time needed to study. Very quick responses to questions and very interesting classes that keep you engaged. Would recommend her to everyone.
Jenkins is absolutely great! Anatomy is hard, but she makes it fun and pretty easy. I recommend going to every lecture to make the journal entries easier, but still she live streams every class so if you're unable to make it, you wont fall behind. Jenkins is truly passionate about what she teaches, it's refreshing. LOTS of homework!! and STUDY!!!!
Best professor I have had in college. Super easy to get in contact with. The in person labs are done as groups and she is always there to help if you have a question. I have taken Anatomy before and failed, and this time I was able to pass with an A. The study guides are very useful for the tests.
I LOVED Ms.Jenkins's class. Tests are easy and based on journal entries. She prepares you for everything on her exams. 2 un-proctored exams, 5 proctored. Journals are easy, but tedious. No excuse not to get an A in this class. Nothing on her exams is a surprise. Show up, do the journals, study and you'll pass. Taking her for A&P 2 this summer.
Professor Jenkins is easily one of the best Anatomy professors. I took her for both AP1&2. You have journals that you complete each week which helps you understand the material. If you do the journals you will pass the test. Tests are online proctored but she does let you drop your lowest test grade. If you put in some effort, you will pass!!!
P. Jenkins has clear expectations, and her exams are flawless. She is amazing at preparing you for your Exams. A&P 2 is harder, but she will never have any surprises on your EXAMS. SHE IS FABULOUS. I took her for A&P 1, too. I got an A in the class. TAKE HER IF YOU WANT TO GET INTO THE NURSING PROGRAM. 9 Exams 3 UnPr/6 Pro
Like other reviews have said, her expectations are clear. Put every bit of effort into the journals, and use them to study. If you put effort into the journals and watch her lectures, you should have no problem passing. She's easy to get a hold of and gives great feedback. I will be taking Professor Jenkins again in the fall for A&P 2.
This class was amazing. I took AP1&2 with her and loved it. Heavy work on the journals but between that and the online study guide she provides tests are easy. Just do the work and it pays off. I went out of my way to attend her class the information and homework was that good.
I took her for both AP I and II. Each week, we had journal work. Then a few dissections. She posts a video lecture every week, must watch and take notes on for journal/exams. There are about 7–8 proctored exams throughout the course. She is very easy to get in touch with, and I definitely recommend her class.
Take her for AP1!
Professor Jenkins was amazing! She provided her number for contact, so she was always available for the most part for any questions and usually got back to me within the day. The class was honestly really fun. She has you keep a journal, which is the majority of your grade, with entries due weekly. Easy A, as long as you put in the effort.
