One of the best professors at CSUN, she cares a lot about what the students think and makes everything very interesting. HIGHLY recommended!!!

I didn't want to take this class but I am so glad that i did with Professor Love because I learned so much.

Awsome teacher. She makes going to class fun and interesting. Always upbeat and willing to help. Wants to see all heR students do really well. Try hard and youll get an A while having fun. Take her she is the best.

She made the class interesting and never gave any work unless it was relevant. There are only 4 homework assignments, a few in-class essays, 3 essays, and a easy group debate at the end. On essays she gives a variety of questions/topics to choose from. She wants all her students to do well. I would definitely recommend her.

Professor Love is AMAZING! I really learned a lot in her Children's Lit class. There are 3 2 page papers and then one longer (7-10 page) paper at the end. She is willing to help. Her class is informative and thought provoking. Take her if you can.

Prof. Love is the best. I recommend taking her if you can. She really makes you think way beyond what you think you can. You'll never see Children's Lit. the same way!!!!

Wonderful teacher, gotta kiss up to her a lot though, and just check your writing before you turn it in, she's an English major... other than that she's great very clear, unfortunately won't be teaching LRS 300GW next semester so sorry for those of you who need it!

Professor Love is a great instructor. I had her for English098 and she was great. She is clear with her feedback and comments and is ALWAYS available for you if you please to seek her assistance. I recommend her, she's pretty hot too, big eyes. Attendance IS important by the way, but everything done in class is for your own good, NOT TO KILL TIME!

She is very helpful, and she makes you feel busy, she gives a lot assignments which can improve your wirting quickly. By the way she is very hot, and she likes to help students she explains everything if you ask, and she speaks fast.

Prof Love is great. She is NOT easy so don't take this class for an easy A. Take it if you really want to get something out of this subject. She knows her stuff and teaches it well. She's really funny so she keeps it moving. But she's also a hardass so ATTEND the class. She is seriously good though. Highly recommended.

Her class is tough, but all worth it. I really enjoyed attending class & looked forward to the discussions. She expects a lot & makes you want to deliver your best. Lots of reading, must attend all classes or you will miss important content. I worked really hard & am proud of my A-. I will take another of her classes, given the opportunity.

RECOMMEND! She is wonderful! She will make you work! Quizzes 1x a week, 3 papers, one big midterm, final is final paper. The literature she had us read was wonderful and her analysis and great energy provided a beautiful literary atmosphere. It's impossible not to be interested in this class with the way Bertacchi-Love teaches :) Lover her!

Tina is one of the most inspiring professors I have ever had. This is NOT an easy class, but the most REWARDING one you will take if you're a teacher's prep major. Wonderful teacher. Not an easy class and not too hard. Show up to class, do all the essays and moodle discussions. Have to do a presentation at the end of the semester. She's very fun and keeps the class interesting.

Best professor at CSUN. I have taken her twice and she is always challenging, passionate, and thought-provoking. I can't recommend her enough. True, this is a hard class, but totally worth it. Give it your all and you will really get a lot out of the class. She made me see the world in a whole different way!

I love this class sooooo much! And Professor Bertacchi-Love is my favorite professor by far here at CSUN. Her passion and love for teaching and for children's literature was contagious every class meeting. I wish I was still in that class. Wonderful, wonderful times in this course. Highly recommend this professor! :)

2 presentations, 9 NOVELS to read (+text book, reader), 6 quizzes, 3 papers, & a stacked final. Bertacchi-Love is fun & and a laid back class, but the difficult part came with the Final. It's stacked with ALL of the information throughout the semester including about 25 readings. It was fun, but not easy when taking other important classes as well.

I love her!! She's so real. If you pay attention, follow directions, and skim the book, you'll do great! She is so funny, sweet, helpful, and a very fair grader. Definitely enroll in her class! Don't get the writer's manual, we never used it. We did use the Guffey 7th edition Business Communication book though. Good luck, you'll have fun with her!

TAKE HER! She is such an amazing professor and person! She WANTS you to succeed and will help you do just that. She makes you work for it, but I promise you it is very rewarding. She actually cares about her students and only teaches you what is ACTUALLY important in the "Real World". She is a true businesswoman and will make you one too! TAKE!!!

She really cares. She is very specific as to what is expected. She respects the students and wants to help everyone. She does give a lot of work but if you complete every assignment and read EVERY book you will get an A.

I absolutely loved this class. There was not one day that I did not want to go to her class. She makes this class fun and with lots of energy. The end of the year business presentation will be a handful and it is the only toughest thing about this course but she gives you plenty of time and she is also there with you every step of the way.

Given with her business experience, you are in good hands. She cares and understands for her business students and really preps them for the professional world. You will learn the basics from resumes to memos and she gives no BS and no curveballs. She goes a hundred percent and will inspire you to go a hundred percent also. Business English 1010.

I'll never look at children's lit the same. But such an amazing class. Stay on top of your reading and do the group project (not as tough as it seems) and the class will be a breeze. She's by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. Definitely recommend this class. I wish this class was longer! :)

Wasn't too excited for this class, but she made this class worth it. She was so helpful and easy professor. She is definatly there for her students. She was really opened and loved talking. By far one of my favorite professors at CSUN. She's so helpful and wants to get to know her students. I loved every minute of class and I learned so much. It may seem like a lot to read, but they're children's books so they go by quickly and they're great reads. The one presentation is a group project but it's easy and fun. Take her class!

She is funny and enthusiastic. You can tell she cares about her students and her subject. I learned more about children's literature from her than I learned in all other classes. She's great. You will have quizzes on reading, so if you don't like to read you should take someone else.

COMICS! PROFESSOR LOVE IS EVERYTHING! As a transfer student I did not know what I was getting myself into at a 9am class but Professor Love always makes my morning with her smile and jokes. She take her time knowing her students individually which I love about her. Her lectures are so fun. I read comics differently. If you need a GE class take her!

Grade dominated by a group project which she assigns. Weekly "pop" quizzes. Very passionate, very knowledgable. Definitely makes you work for the grade. Extra cred opps, but really, read the chapter and be ready for the quizzes. She's very busy, but accessible in office hours and email. Very good professor overall.

I learned a lot this semester that I can utilize outside of CSUN. Writing intensive. Gives good feedback. She is willing to help you succeed and will give you good tips on about interviewing and letters of rec. There are reading quizes but they are easy. One group project. And a blog assignment. I will take her again.

SHE IS 1 OF THE BEST PROFESSORS I HAVE EVER HAD! She does not ever give u random assignments-what she teaches will benefit you. Everything she teaches you in this class will lead to 1 final group project - she assigns the members. Before she even knew my group and I,she put us together knowing we would work well, & now we are great friends.

She is great! She has the best stories & she is a great professor who will teach you about the real world. You have weekly "pop" quizzes regarding chapters from the book, but she usually tells you ahead of time so it's not really "pop." I wouldn't say the work itself was too difficult, it just required a lot of work and discipline. The readings are super important for pop quizzes and papers so do them. Would take again!

Definitely my favorite professor I've ever taken! She's so funny, understanding, and caring. She genuinely cares for her students, and is very approachable! Her class consisted of fairly easy assignments and one group project. As long as you stay on top of everything and show up to class, it's an easy A.

You are going to work in this class but you will be a better student and person for it. She pushes you and won't give you all the answers. You are required to critically analyze but she gives you the tools to do it. She does have papers, pop quizzes and group projects, all things most college students hate. Yet, her class is well worth it!

I loved taking this class she is so kind. You learn tools about getting an interview or a job. NO Exams. you only do 4 quizzes about the chapter on the reading. you work with groups for some assignments. you get to create your own website about the topic you pick from the options she gives you. This class was so fun.

I took her 105 english class last semester and the whole time she just kept raving about her business writing so i took it.she takes the time to hand write feedback and leave little notes. amazing teacher, super helpful and funny. you wont regret it

Easily one of the most engaging classes I've taken. Prof Love actually wants to see her students succeed and as such gives excellent feedback and reasons why your grade is as is. Coursework is all very straight forward, and she allows time for review and revision before a final grade is given.

I took her 205 class, just to have another class with Prof Love. I'm a psych major and didn't even get credit for her class, but loved her teaching so much that I took the class. She's down to Earth and super understanding of personal issues and home life problems. If I could take all my classes with her, I would.

Loved her class, she is such a cool professor and person in general. I loved her teaching style too, she basically tells you how to write her assignments if you take enough notes during her lectures. The real challenge in her class is the formal report. Do not procrastinate on that thing-- you will regret it.

Professor Bertacchi is very kind, and she loves to read. She shares a lot of her childhood books in class. She makes the class fun, and her assignments have to be very detailed, but she does give us clear instructions. I really enjoyed her class, and she inspired me to read and start buying books for my future class. She inspired me in many ways.

First day of school she said,"Im telling you right now, you won't want to leave when this is over". Last day of school, she dismisses us and no one gets up, no one wanted to leave. I enjoyed her class so much that it was sad to leave. She is a joy and always tells us good stories. Her class was the first one where I feel I learned valuable things.

Graded by 7 assignments and is a hard grader, but she gives great feedback that will help for business operations down the line (like email and letter etiquettes). Solid class. Professor Love knows the material so don't expect to skirt by because she will be able to tell. We made a comic strip and redrew a comic so there is some art involved. Mostly amazing reads. Lots of gothic/horror if I remember correctly. Overall fun, not the lightest in terms of workload but not too bad. Insightful and rewarding.
