Tina is a very hard-working lady who cares about her students. Her tests are based on notes she gives in lecture,and she does not sneak in extra questions. Her tests are only 25 questions long. SUCH A COOL LADY!!!

Ms. Mougouris is a wonderful teacher that knows how to present material that is very up to date with today's generation. She was very nice and willing to help a student. Very funny too and my class kept her laughing the entire time. A must take for Sociology!!

Christmas mini was survivable only because she is such a nice person and down to earth teacher. Very competent and kind, she is just so much fun!Take good notes and know your vocabulary and it will fly by.

Pretty easy..LOVED her lectures...she is a very normal person..she is fun..her test are kinda hard..I got a 94 on 1st and 82 on second...havent taken 3rd yet...only 3 tests I would definaltely take her again!

Very helpful and she makes lectures interesting, she only has 3 tests so you have to make them count. attend class and study the notes and you will pass.

I'm glad I listened to most of you for taking this professor. I just finished taking her for the summer semester, and there was A LOT of material to cover in a short time; a total of 4 CHAPTERS for each of her 3 TESTS--that means you have to make each one count. If you can memorize, you'll make an A. I strongly recommend her though! She's awesome.

She was a great teacher. I just finished taking her 5 week summer class. She makes the lectures enjoyable and she is willing to help you. Five weeks was not enough to cover the material we had in class. There was just so much information to absorb in so little time. Fantastic teacher!

Don't miss any days! It will hurt your grade. Use her outline-but stick to the notes vs the book because her tests are tricky. The class's avg on the test are as follows:(#1) 79.78; (#2) 68.64; (#3) 72.73. I got an A in her class. She's a nice lady...but only take it if you won't miss any days & can take great notes!

This was the best class I have ever taken in college. I came out intensely interested in Sociology.. although I mostly always was. This class is seriousily fun. Tests aren't hard at all, just study notes and read over the chapters.. you'll want to! It's like not even being in school.. this subject is such a hobby for me!

This is my favorite class. She's very genuine and kind and she has great examples for her lessons. Just take good notes and study and you'll be fine!

Funny, nice, easy. Gives good notes, it will save you from having to read the book, or buy the book for that matter. At the end of the course I felt good about taking it.

Do not take this teacher online unless you spead reader. The teat are timed 1 hour and there are inbetween 50-55 questions multiple choice!!! I don't know about you but I have to think for a secound when I am reading a test question. She seems very nice, but needs to drop her test down to maybe 40 questions or give more time.

She is a great teacher! You can really tell she loves her job and is the coolest prof. I have ever had. If you need the book check out from library and/photocopy chapters as I did(saved some $). She test on the notes taken in class as well as certain info from the book.

Took the Winter mini. Best Instructor I've had so far. Very interesting and gives great examples so that the material makes sense. Take notes, everything she says can be on the test. Review sheets make preparing for tests a breeze. Didn't use text book much, but you still need it. You'll be glad you took this class. I made an A+. Great class!

I took her Internet class in Fall semester. She is easy and nice. You can get the study material in BB and it is very useful for your exam. Her exam and essay paper is very easy. Highly Recommended.

Awesome lady. The funnest and funniest professor you could ever have. Makes the best ouf of every situation, even if it means teaching the mechanics...lol. Has an interesting career. Very fair with her students.

WONDERFUL teacher, Very funny and helpful. Everything she lectures over is on the test, but her review sheets are helpful. She gives great examples and tells stories to help you understand the material. The tests consist of multiple choice and short answer questions. I wish I could have her as a teacher for other subject.

I took her online over the summer. She was very helpful. You had to write an essay over a movie. Tests were multiple choice...very organized and well layed out

She made sociology incredibly interesting. It was her enthusiasm and sense of humor that made me love the class. She's very knowledgeable and sweet. Tests were multiple choice with short responses - not too bad if you study.

TAKE HER! I really enjoy this class and think everyone else does too as no one ever misses class. Easy to take notes as she writes everything on the board. Gives a review sheet for the test (multiple choice and 5 essay questions) plus she gives extra credit questions on test. Applies real life situations to terms that you study. Great teacher.

Took her for 8wk class online & glad i did! 4 test: 1st-4chapters, 2,3,4th test- 3chapters. And also one movie paper, you pick but she has to approve. Just read the ch's & make notes over where certain people are mentioned. Found the class interesting & if you need help just email her or go by her office. Take her & do it online & save some gas!

Go to class, take notes, read book, read articles and make an A while learning something interesting from a really cool professor. Clear & precise with notes & test review. Makes it a point to know your name which is really cool. I don't understand the negative comments about her stories? I found them interesting & funny. Take her, you won't regret

Ms. Mougouris is one of the beast teachers I have had at San Jacinto. I have been attending UHCL and decided to take a class that was obviously cheaper at San Jacinto and I feel blessed to have been in her class. She was very helpful and clear with all of my questions, and she was always excited about being in class. She is the best.

Awesome teacher! Would take if I had to again. Class is mandatory because notes are taken every class day which are to be used for studying for tests. Read only certain parts of the book.

I loved taking Tina's class this semester. Tina are you reading - I LOVED YOUR CLASS!! All you're expected to do is be there daily, take notes daily, and study for exams. She's going to give you the info you need to pass her class & it's up to you to apply that info come exam day. Definitely would recommend her class.

Her stories make the information relative.. I always leave this class with some sort of useful knowledge. Very interesting and useful class. Tests are not hard if you take good notes and read the supplemental readings.

Ms. Tina is an awesome instructor. She always breaks things down so that everyone can understand. You have to go to class though, because tests are completely from the notes. Every time i left class I was satisfied with the lecture. If you go to class and study your notes you will make an A!

This was a great class with a great teacher. It is a challenging class but everything is thoroughly explained in the notes. This is not a class you can afford to miss. Her lectures are very interesting and fun. Definitely a class you will enjoy if you put the time and effort into.

She's a great lady who delivers the lectures very clear. She summarizes everything up at the end. And the begining of next day she says some stuff about last lecture. I liked her class. EASY A. Attendance will help you out on the test so go to class lol

Very nice teacher. Lenient grader, curved tests. Very approachable and gave good feedback. As for the coursework, she would lecture and the tests would be over the chapters covered- I would refer to the books in the library for the required reading (2-3 essays to read per test). Easy 'A'; Recommended.

Professor Mougouris is awesome!!! I took her for Soci1301 and 2319 and her lectures always include a story relevant to the material which helps you absorb the information and really understand what you are studying. I absolutely enjoy attending her classes. I definitely recommend her.

Great Teacher! She gives great notes. Her notes and the examples are the same way as her test. She emails quickly and very helpful when it comes down to questions. Very polite and keep the class interesting. Extra credit on the test & take home essay questions that will be on the test. Final exam is optionally and use as the lowest grade.

All you have to do is come to class, take notes and study. She responds to emails quickly and very helpful. Passed her class with an C. No papers to type just three exams, essay questions on test and extra on each test.

Pure notetaking , would be much easier if she would upload her powerpoints so we can have them printed and just follow in class. Just study notes prior to test and guaranteed A. Had project due that consisted of 10 articles but got it done in one day. Dont buy book .. never used !!Save your money !!

They're were two textbooks to purchase for class. Rarely used the big one but the smaller one had a couple of readings for grades. Only three grades for the whole class. I would definitly recommend this teacher for this class. Pay attention take notes get an A!

Class was easy in my opinion. We had to purchase two books and I would recommend reading both. She tells you exactly what you need to read and as long as you take good notes you will get an A. She has 3 tests and 1 final and she will pick the best 3 grades of them all.Her tests are based mainly on her notes. She is also available when you need help

I am taking this class online and I think it is pretty easy. She gave us 5 DB,10 quizzes, and 5 writing assignments that are all due the last day of class, except the discussion boards. She is really helpful and responds to emails fast. If I had to take this class over I would definitely take her class again!

I just finished up with her online course. She was a good teacher and responded quickly to email and questions, posted reminders and takes an interest in her students. She is very clear on what she expects. Consists of discussion board posts, 10 quizzes and 4 written assignments (short) plus extra credit. Highly recommend her.

She is great. I took it online. She responds fast to emails. She is clear with direction. She is helpful. Respect her and her authority, she deserves it. Test aren't the easiest, but she makes it to where you learn your stuff if you follow her direction.

I loved her! This class was interesting and EASY! I took her online and all there was were 4 papers, 12 quizzes, 5/6 discussion boards and NO FINAL EXAM. When I did email, she replied pretty fast. I would totally recommend taking her. Made a 90 without really trying.

You literally have 4 chances to pass. I was taken aback because all of my other classes I am given tests, quizzes, homework exc. She gives you 4 major test, if you do bad on the first two, might as well drop.

SHE IS AWESOME!!!!! it took her in the Spring of 2014 and I learned so much, she cares about the subject and wants you to get it, tests are super fair, barely any book use.. 90% of the exams based of lecture notes. SHE IS AWESOME. will take more of her courses FOR SURE.

(summer 5 weeks) Great professor! 3 exams, 1 final (optional), no papers, no homework. All questions for exams come directly from her notes. Will need the books. She made the class interesting & had our class laughing most of the time. Attendance is mandatory! If you are satisfied w/your avg after the 3rd exam you are exempt from the final.

She is one of the best professors I have taken at SJC thus far. I took the course online and it was very well organized. She gives more than enough time to finish assignments. Puts everything up at the beginning of the semester. Responds quickly to emails. Gives extra credit. TAKE HER COURSE. I finished wan A in the class.

She is the best teacher Iv'e taken in three years and I've taken two classes with her so far. I took her when i was a dual credit, so if i got an A anyone can. she makes class interesting and fun, you have to do the work and study but the notes she gives are the test, so study what she writes and you'll get an A for sure, the tests multiple choice

Even though this class was easy, I have to admit she was VEEEEERY boring. Very hard to sit through enough that I would skip occasionally. But thankfully, I managed to get an A in her class. So all in all she's easy, but boring. If you're ok with boring lectures, then go right ahead. Oh yeah, make a friend in that class!

She has 3 tests and the final if you take the 3 tests and are happy with your average you dont have to take the final. she will also review your short answer questions beforehand

She's NOT that hard, I was intimidated by the reviews. The tests are easy if you study & write exactly what she says. EXACTLY, not just what is on the board even examples. There are some scenario questions, but most are straight-forward with 4 essays. She enjoys feedback & storytime, seriously. She is "sarcastic cool" & reading assignments: long.

Common ass. Is also extra credit. Final is optional if you're happy with overall grade you don't need to take final. Took during 5wk, so it's due able.

Took online. If you're a strong writer, this class should be a breeze. Many discussion boards and short essays. There are also tiny quizzes (about 12 questions), which are easy once you've read the chapters. Lots of reading in general. The hardest thing is just keeping a good schedule, but if you do, it's easy to finish the class a few weeks early.

Prof. Mougouris is great. Take lecture notes from board, do the test reviews, a few short reading assignments, and take 3 tests. That's it. If you don't come to class and take notes, you won't pass. Test reviews come straight from the notes on the board. If you don't like the average of your 3 test grades, there an optional cumulative final.

Took online. Easy A. Don't need the books, just go to the library for a couple readings and the rest you can google online. Discussion boards are a snap and usually don't require responses, only initial posts. Deadlines for assignments are so spread out, you can do the whole semester at your own pace. Definitely recommend her online class.

She is a really great teacher. You must read the books to pass the class. She emails back quickly and you can get a good grade if you just do the work.

She is kind of picky on criteria and is a tough grader on writings. She lets you work at your own pace though which is really awesome.

I really liked that she opened up all assignments from the beginning and allowed you to work at your own pace. She had clear due dates and expectations. There were a few papers to write, but not hard if you follow directions and answer questions and cite your work. The quizzes were per chapter which I also liked. She responded to emails same day.

You don't need the book. Its at the library and she gives you a review sheet for for each test. Just be there every day, listen, take notes and you will be fine. Also, what she didn't cover on the review sheet an easily be googled and studied for the tests. She is a good professor and offers extra credit as well. I loved her class.

Take her Sociology ONLINE!! It is the easiest A I have ever gotten. 10 quizzes (Which are open to take since the start f class and due at the end of the course) 5 discussions posts. 3 Essays. 1 extra credit assignment. Very easy if you simply do the work. 2 textbooks you must buy.

She helps students a lot, she gives extra credits for every tests. 4 tests total , and she drop the lowest test. She very caring , helpful, her lecture is interesting.

She was very nice and always willing to help. But the class was heavy on "mini" papers and discussion boards. Plus quizzes over chapters. You need two books for the class so be prepared to read. No tests or powerpoint. You have to log in every one-two days, otherwise you will fail. She makes it clear to give you something to do every other day.

She is awesome! Book is necessary for readings, and what was not covered in class. As long as you show up and take notes, there is no reason not to pass. She gives the review for all tests on first day of class. Took this class in a 5 week mini and was very easy and fun. Lectures are great!

Be engaged! Her lectures are open to discussion, her experience is awesome! She is funny and loves current events that can relate to sociology. Bring your own examples, participate in lecture and you will learn really easily. I love this professor, took her twice for Sociology and Minority studies. You will not be disappointed. Tests lecture.

One of the best professors I will ever have. Your final grade is solely based off of your score on 3 out of 4 tests - the final is essentially optional. No homework whatsoever. Do the study guides, read the sociology reader, get an A. She is so sweet and engaging and teaches extremely well. She doesn't grade attendance but her lectures are AMAZING!

Prof Mougouris explains things really well, but she does go on quite a bit. Straight lecture from start to end which can get a little boring, but she's good at giving examples. Take good notes and use the study guide, it's just like the test. You dont need the textbook or the reader, it's at the library! only thing is she's strict about cellphones

I enjoyed having Professor Mougouris as a instructor she is very caring and really know what shes talking about. The only thing is she pretty much just lectures every class which can get a little boring sometimes. Overall a very good professor and gives you a good review for all the tests!

Took her Summer class and she is an Awesome teacher. Gives great feedback on the writing assignments and also offers Extra Credit. She allows you to work at your own pace and that helped tremendously. Very responsive and overall this class was pretty interesting. Would TOTALLY take her again! Highly Recommended.

Professor Mougouris is a really good professor for people who like lectures. Her class is all lectures, with you grade only being test over the material. She always keeps her lectures interesting and always give good real life examples to help you understand what shes explaining. If you do her review guides the tests are easy.

For me her class was easy. No homework, just 3 exams Grades and that is it. She uses real life examples to give you a better understanding of the lecture so beware because she sometimes asks about those in the exams. She was so nice and always in a good mood. Easy class!

Even though I got a C in this class, Professor Mougouris was all around a great professor. She kept her lectures interesting. Her class does require some studying which is why I feel I didn't do so good by hardly studying. But she is super sweet and is always willing to help if you need it.

THE BEST PROF EVER! She is sweet, funny, caring, and smart! Gives many awesome examples, and writes notes on the board which you need to write also to study in order to pass. Only 4 to 5 tests, all answers are in the notes she gave! The easiest class, if you do what you are supposed to do.

I took her for spring semester and despite covid switching us to completely online she was very clear and helpful and would have us do discussion boards so she could check in on us! Loved her!

She is one of the best professors in San Jacinto I can tell you that, I took her this semester for Minority Studies - Honors class, it was a shame we could not go to the trip due to COVID-19. But, hey I still got an A! :D

Her class was easy a few quizzes and essays. The only thing I didn't enjoy was renting two books to only read a total of of 5 articles. I feel like one book should be sufficient. Anyways grading criteria was clear and she was a good professor.

She is a great teacher, very open-minded, let's you speak your opinion in class, and she will talk about many important issues we face in today's world. Professor Mougouris was an easy A! Do get ready to read to do your papers. As longs as you stay on top of your stuff, you can get a good grade. The quizzes are easy along as you read the material.

She is somebody who, not only has great teaching skills, but also knows what it is like to be a student - without being AT ALL out of touch when it comes to what she remembers. She will tell you what steps need to be taken to improve your grade through email, and some stories told in lecture - MAN was I in for a ride (the good kind)!

She was an outstanding professor. Assignment expectations were very clear and detailed. MANY short essays but Prof M was not a hard grader as long as essays fit rubric. She is very supportive of her students and offers opportunities to make up work. Quizzes were not difficult. Would take as many classes as possible with Prof M. Learned a lot!

I just finished a 5 week class with her and it went better than I expected. The class outline scared me because of the papers that were due every 3-4 days but it really turned out to be not that bad! The books are definitely necessary in order to do well on the papers! I finished with a high A so if you are okay with writing papers I recommend!

Prof Mougouris was great! The class seemed intimidating with a paper due every 3-4 days but she offers clear guidelines on what is expected for each assignment, offers makeup periods for missed assignments, grades quickly and gives detailed feedback to ensure that you improve. She also sends out plenty of reminders. Take her!

I absolutely loved this class and Professor. She made this class interesting and easy to understand. She gave a lot of examples during her lectures and provided great notes to help us study. She also has study guides for the quizzes that help. The homework is answering a few questions for every chapter, 8 total. I would 100% take her again.

Loved the professor she is kind and sweet. Took the class online and on zoom she goes over the powerpoints and not much needed from the actual textbook. For work she gives chapter quizzes 10 questions and discussion boards 3 questions. no lockdown browser needed also no final exam. she gives an extra due date after original date.

Where do I even start? Professor Mourgouris was outstanding! She made the content so easy to understand and provided multiple examples. Make sure to take good notes and study them for the exams you will 100% pass the class with an A. There is no final but if you miss a test you will have to take a comprehensive exam at the end of the semester.

She is amazing! She gives very informative lectures and makes the material interesting to learn. Her tests are not hard, you just have to study before them, she also has study guides that tell you everything you need to know for her test. She only has 3-4 homework assignments and they aren't hard, you just have to answer 3 questions for each.

This professor is a great online professor because she makes everything crystal clear.

Responsive when I had any issues or concerns. She was even willing to let me sit in one of her classes to get some clarity. The topics discussed were interesting, would have been better in person. She was clear about what she expected and wanted from you. Provides everything you need. I did read a lil more than usual to complete the assignments.

Professor Mourgouris makes this class engaging and manageable, even online. The assignments are structured to help you succeed, and she's always available to provide support. unstuck study was a handy tool for test prep alongside the textbook.

I took an in-person 16 wk with Prof Mougouris and she is def one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures are very easy to comprehend, and her assignments are very easy to do. She is also just a wonderful person in general. She also gives some extra credit which I like. We only had 4 tests, 4 assignments, and an essay. Def recommend her!!

Attendance isn't required, but participation is, and they go hand in hand with grading. The grading criteria and expectations are very clear. The only difficult part of this class is the abundance of material to memorize. Good luck!! I would have this professor again!

loved taking professor mougoris' class!! easy lessons and homework, and pretty straightforward. as long as you completed the homework and quizzes, you'll pass just fine!

Super easy teacher. Takes her time going through the content. The Only work we ever did was notes based on the PPTs and tests. There's always a bonus question on tests. Overall, she's super sweet and easy-going.
