She is an awesome teacher...expect to write alot, you will know how to write when you leave her class.

Great teacher who makes the subject interesting. Tests are a bit difficult so make sure you study.

Great teacher but goes on to much about racism which is better suited for a political science class.If you can get past her feminist pro minority political views then the class is great. Just do the work and study 2 hours for each test for an A.

Study... The tests were 100 questions (which gies you more room for errors)... and not too hard. BTW, Show up on time... Her pet peeve is late students.

She is a great teacher,some of her questions on the test are a little tricky, but she lets you use note cards! She makes class fun.

She is a really cool teacher. She cares abunch about her students and gives alot of great examples. She lets you write notes for each chapter on a 5x6 note card, i didn't and still made A's on her tests

Wonderful class. Dr. Stern is not only knowledgeable about her subject, but conveys it beautifully. You have to study, but hey this is college. Take the class it is well worth it.

she is a great teacher and asks for a lot. she is very helpful and very nice. tests were somewhat difficult though... but Psych is not my subject, and I passed with B.

Man, her tests are hard. And she's harder on his honor students, we don't get notes. If you take her for an honors course... you better study hard.

This teacher is great. I love the way she structures he class. I would definetly take her again. Her tests are multiple choice and she also lets you bring in a note card. She does like alot of student participation though. She also tries to make the class as interesting as possible.

read the assigned chap do your note card and get an A in the class. test are all multiple choice and questions are mostly on situations. not many what is this type of questions. minimal effort can get an A dont be late to class, its her one pet peeve.

An excellent professor who works really hard for you. You will love her lectures. Test are fair but you had better study for them. You will enjoy this class no matter what you make. Don't be late for class. Huge pet peeve. Chances to do extra work for bonus pts.

This teacher is great. She knows all about psychology. She explains it clearly and tells good stories. She has her own practice so she has had a lot of on hand experience. Tests are easy and class is fun. If your taking psychology she is the best teacher to take!

Dr. Stern is soooo good. She makes it so interesting. She is strict about getting to class on time and keeping you there till the last minute. I would totally recommend this class to everyone it teaches you about stuff relevant to life.

Dr. Stern is an excellent professor. She cares about the material and about the student's progress. She also utilizes great methods for absorbing and learning through participation. Her class is interesting and very easy if you study. Anyone who doesn't pass her class is an idiot.

I enjoyed her class, took notes, listened to her lectures and participated in group ativities. i made an A. she is very good teacher and caring person.

Prof. Stern is so wonderful with energetic and fun classes. Her tests are really hard, but she lets you have one note card for each chapter (4 per test) and one card for the final. Should be fine if you study & make good cards. Her papers are intricate, but not hard at all. She grades fairly and goes out of her way to help, just don't be late!

Although Dr. Stern is extremely nice, she is not such a great teacher. Her tests are hard; most questions are not even covered in class. I make straight A's, and she was my only B this semester. Did not get much out of this class.

Makes it all interesting - only HW is to fill out an 8x11 notecard front and back with material from the chapter being covered, BUT THEN SHE LETS YOU USE IT ON THE TEST...its also optional to fill it out. If you fill out the notecard w/ the objective questions in the yellow book, you'll get an A on every test.

One of the best teachers I have ever had, she goes out of her way to help you understand the material and she lets you use notes on the tests.

Wow! How many professor lets you write an 8x10 note card to use during a test? Yup! Dr. Stern's class is made just for you. There's lots of material to learn and she'll make it interesting Her exams were very fair, gives extra credit points. Do your part and you'll get an "A".

She is a great, enthusiastic teacher. Has great web notes and is very helpful! She lets you make a cheat sheet for tests! Great teacher!!!

This teacher was okay, she kind of confused the class alot on given assignments. The best part is the notecards, but you never know what to write on them. If you read the book & write the vocab and the examples in the book you should do well on test. You may do better on test if you read book & notes on on her site than listening to lectures.

I loved Ms. Stern's class. If you read the chapters, listen, and speak up in class, you'll be fine. But DON'T BE LATE! She hates that. You'll never get out early, except on tests days. I recommend her for those who WANT to learn something. If that's not you, just stay away.

Great teacher. Lets you have one note card for a cheat sheet every test then two on the final. I got a B in this class. She makes this interesting and I highly reccomend her. You do learn alot!

She is a great teacher, not hard at all just pay attention during class and study her notes the verbal examples during class are on her test or from her test. She keeps the class very intersting and some what fun. She is very nice to talk to and very helpful. She gives u 5 test all multiple choise and drops 1. U must do a paper at the end. Easy B

I took her online course. She is SUPER helpful as far as content - if there is anything you don't understand, she'll help. But her tests can be hard - pretty conceptual questions. Also, she takes no pity on tech. difficulty, and I lose a few points because of that. Read the text, use the study guide, and participate, and you'll get an A!

Dr. Stern is a great professor. Her class is not easy but she makes it fun and she does allow you to use a note card for every test. I highly recommend this class if you are willing to work

First of all, her tests are difficult. I expected this class to be an easy A, and it was the most difficult and time-consuming course I took (it was an honors class, so maybe her regular classes are easier.). Having said that, she makes class interesting, and I enjoyed it. She's smart, fun, attractive and a pleasure to be around.

This class is not as easy as one may think, so don't fool yourself. I worked hard to try to keep my "C", but in the end my hard work payed off and I got a "B".If you try your best Dr. Stern will reward you.

Not an easy class, but she is a great teacher! Definitely need the book! Follow her Study guides and your will do fine.

Ok. But her tests are hard and research papers are weird.

Her class was straight-forward and interesting. Her tests aren't super easy, but if you study you should be able to get an A or B. She grades tough for projects, but will answer any questions and give plenty of help.

A % of your grade is based on participation so showing up for class is important. Tests are extremely difficult even when you study for days. The book is a must..You will write a research paper which was interesting..If you need any help she is there for you..but overall not an easy class and I can say I have zero interest in psychology now.

AWESOME teacher, very fun lady. will teach until you understand. has given homework 3 times and hasnt taken it up once yet. provides multiple online help for test (practice quizes) gives a research paper and 3 months to do it. very interesting class. TAKE THIS TEACHER. you just have to be willing to learn and you will pass

My second class with her, she is GREAT. Gives study guides, lets you use note cards on test and drops lowest test grade. She interacts and allows students to also. LOVE HER !!! TAKE HER CLASS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT, seriously!

I HAD AN AMAZING & GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE. THIS WAS A GREAT COLLEGE COURSE FOR A PSYC MAJOR AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED!

To 2 comments below..Many tests' due dates fall on a scheduled maintenance day, but the maintenance is temporary and the test are open for 24 hours. It's your fault for not paying attention.I had Dr. stern for 101 and she definitely cares and works hard to make sure you understand. She rightly expects the same of her students. Awesome!!

She is amazing! Just work hard and you will make good grades. Her tests are pretty hard though, but she will drop one out of four. Make sure to attend class as well because I learned more when I was in class.

An awesome experience from the beginning to end. Engages students to interact instead of simply lecturing for hours on end. Assignments were difficult enough to push you without being overwhelming or to the extreme. I strongly recommend her for any Psych Major!

Dr. Stern is a great professor. She encourages lots of discussion by the students and always added interesting factoids to help us better understand the concepts being taught. I would recommend her to any student. Her tests are easy if you study her power points. Take her if you want a class that you look forward to attending every week.

AMAZING TEACHER! LEARNED SOO MUCH. INTERESTING. secret to passing the test is the notecards! seriously go to the website where she puts the objectves and the study guide and just answer the objective questions with the study guide answers and put it on your notecard. GUARANTEED A or B. BUT ATTEND CLASS BECAUSE IT'S SOO INTERESTING.

She is nice and is very knowledgeable. her lecture is on icollege through her powerpoint. I didnt go to class bc of the powerpoint since i can study through reading it but it got me a C. If you go to class and listen and go through the powerpoint then it will be really easy.

She is a very nice, fair, and informative. Sheuses techniques that works for you and your classmates. I am a psych major and I learned a lot from her.

I've noticed that some ratings say that she's a hard professor. What she does is CHALLENGES us, and I love it. She encouraged us to think critically from day one. Participating in the class is key, as you learn so much from it. She's also the sweetest! :D She has another class called "Women's Studies", and I'm going to be taking that too. :)

SHE IS VERY NICE, INFORMATIVE, FRIENDLY.I LEARNED A LOT. I LOVE PSYCHOLOGY AND NOW CAN USE IT IN REAL LIFE. IF U WANT TO SUCCED U NEED TO STUDY POWER POINTS THAT SHE POSTS AND ALSO SHE DOES NOT LIKE IF U LEAVE THE CLASS DURING THE CLASS UNLESS EMERGENCY.BUT I REALLY ENJOYED HER CLASS.

Good teacher, but you need to attend class and LISTEN. Her tests are not that bad BUT do the study guides. You are not going to get through the class without some effort.

Unbelievably easy. Didn't read or take notes just took the mandatory online quizzes and got all A's on the tests

She is very informative and keeps your attention. She makes learning the information very easy and I think she is an excellent professor. I wish my other professors had the same enthusiam she has.

She is my favorite professor by far this year! She's sweet and understanding and she tries her best to make the classes interesting and make sure you're actually learning something. She's not a harsh grader and her class assignments are easy, and occasionally fun.

Great teacher. She's nice. Just doesn't like it when people get up leave without notice. Easy to understand, clear on expectations. Do the LearnSmart quizzes, they're 10% of your grade. That's a whole letter grade and it's easy to get 100s on those. Tests aren't too bad. Small essay assignment isn't that bad either. Pretty easy class.

LOVED her! Sweet lady, don't hesitate if you have any questions, SHE WILL GO OVER IT TIL YOU UNDERSTAND and she doesn't make you feel stupid about it. STUDY! It's not bad at all, I made flash cards to remember key terms and info, which was very helpful, and there were no surprises on the test. Just be on time, take notes, study, you'll be fine :)

Dr. Stern is by far and wide the very best professor I have ever had. She is NOT easy,she expects a lot from her students, but is very detailed, and beyond helpful. She stayed on the phone with me for more than 30 minutes until I completely understood the writing assignment, and then followed up to see how I was doing. I HIGHLY recommend her.

You're only going to use Learn Smart, but the book that comes with the code is about $112 so theirs that

Overall I loved this class. The discussion questions really made you think but were really interesting. Didn't have to respond to other people. The tests were hard. There were two major essays where I don't think the instructions were very clear. She sent an email at the beginning of every week going over the previous week's assignments.

Dr. Stern delivers clear lectures and if you aren't paying attention you will miss several pertinent points. She is very accessible for her students and as long as you communicate with her you will be fine. No reason you should get less than a "B" in this class
