Ms. Bui is a caring, smart, patient professor. She knows how to teach and explains thing well.Do your homework, ask questions. She EXPECTS you to come to class prepared. Her class won't be a BREEZE. Take good notes. Her handwriting is perfect and her notes are organized and helpful. Take her class and be amazed of how much you learned.

Ms. Bui is a very good professor. She is patient, well-organized, knows the subject well, and has a very good sense of humor. She expects you to work hard to earn your grade. To pass her class, come to class, take notes (forget about the book), and do your homework. You must show your work on tests since she does not bebieve in "miracle" answers.

I'm really glad I picked Mrs Bui for elementary algebra. I think she's a fantastic teacher, and I've had no problem understanding and excelling in her class. Fantastic! She does have an accent but she is very easy to understand. Her writing is impeccable and her notes are very well organized. You will have to work hard but if you pay attention during lectures, take notes and do the homework she will do everything she can to help you make it.

What a great professor! The class lecture was very well organized, and all of the Trigonometric ideas were crystal clear. Expect very clear instruction and lots of examples, but also lots of quizzes. She is a very helpful professor. She took time to try to explain Trig to me during office hours. She is very neat and organized. Do the homework and rework her examples. Although I withdrew, she was not the problem, I was (life got in the way). Be prepared, be focused and concentrate. She will give you all the tools to succeed if you are ready.

Her final exam was hard. Got an A in college Algebra, I had to study harder to get good grades in her class. Study her notes, do hw, worksheets. Come to her office for help. If you want to learn, she will help you. If you look for easy A, take someone else.

It is not easy to get an A in her class. But she is clear and fair. Since she gives quizzes very frequently, it is better that you finish hw problems before coming to class. Take these worksheets seriously. I come to her office for help and she was extremely helpful. Be prepared to memorize those identities as they are important in PreCal.

If you need some push to study, take her. She gives out homework to practice. Little bit of an accent but great teacher if you pay attention. Tinh Bui is the best math professor I've ever had and one of the best professors at ACC. You have to study hard in her class but as long as you do it's an easy A. She is very organized and her assignments and lectures perfectly prepare you for the tests. I took her for Trig and Cal I. Take her, you wont regret it.

She gives awesome handout notes for each chapter. Trig was very clear with her as my Prof. Quizzes were practically every day but if you reviewed the notes and did the hw then it is doable. The hw was never collected or graded (optional). I cannot wait to take her for pre cal, cal1 and cal 2. Try to understand cause her test questions are different

Professor Bui is by far the best professor at ACC. She is organized, gives good feedback on work and is there for you if you need additional help. Her lecture notes are easy to follow and made trigonometry much easier to understand. She gives many homework assignments and pop quizzes but they ultimately help you in the end. Awesome professor!!

All professors should teach like this. She writes everything you need to know on the board and works through several examples until everyone understands. The notes you take in this class are more useful than the book, which you only need to do homework problems. I took her class based on reviews and am glad I did!

This is a review for all you who don't have strong math skills like me. I passes with a 84.2! Notes were great, she even made us notes too. Gave plenty of examples. Just an overall sweet lady. Crystal clear notes. Absolutely amazing handouts with the best math explanations I have ever seen. I took her a few semesters back... Today I have calculus 3 completed and got accepted into UT Electrical Engineering. I had her for Cal I last semester. Her lectures are clear and organized. Worksheets are given frequently. Take them seriously. I did the worksheets, then hw. It is not easy to make A on her tests,but if you do the worksheets and hw, study notes, you will learn a lot. She is really nice and polite. Her class prepares me for Cal 2. Great prof.

She doesn't give students the hardest questions in the book. The test does have some challenging questions mixed in with some simple ones. The lectures are very organized, and her handwriting is neat/perfect on the chalk board. She is a fair grader. She makes math understandable, and makes it fun by making a joke out of some problems.

She is fun during lectures, and her jokes always relates to the material. The problems can be challenging, but her quizzes help students see what the test will be like. The test is sort of like the problems she gives during class but a little harder. It is best to try to understand the problem and step away from memorizing any specific problem.

It take about a week to get past her accent, but then it's smooth sailing. She won't stop explaining something until you get it. Awesome teacher!

I took her 0370 and 0390 recently. She is the first math professor who makes math understandable to me. She breaks down the concept and explains them in detail. 4 tests worth 20% each, and 15-16 short quizzes over homework worth the remaining 20% . Need to know your stuff, as the class progresses fast. Notes everyday. Does not give out a useful review with examples, you have to go over your notes and homework. Word problems aplenty. Light grader if you show your work. Study everyday and you will pass.

She is knowledgeable of the material, nice, and an fair grader. Her notes are supper helpful and neat. So take notes and keep up with hw. I am currently taking this class. It is not an easy class, but her explanation is clear and to the point. I just took Test 1 and did great. Fair test and quizzes so far. She returns graded work on time, which helps a lot. Her handout notes are great too. Do do hw and read notes. Textbook is easy to read too.

Mrs. Bui is phenomenal professor. I took her two semesters in a row and if I had the chance I would take her again. In the second semester I was going through a lot. However, when I felt like everyone was giving up on me she never did. She would met with me on her days off, help me prep for the exam, anything to help. Amazing woman!

I took her 1314 last spring. Her lecture was clear and to the point. HW everyday, weekly quizzes and written assignments. Her tests had some challenging questions that required deep understanding. She provided review sheets, but test questions were not all similar to review. Take note, complete graded work on time, review and review.

So glad the class is on campus as online learning didn't work for me. Excellent & caring prof. Her teaching style & organized notes are SUPER helpful. MLM hw everyday, quiz every week, 4 tests 1 final. Review notes & quizzes . Don't just study test reviews as test questions are not exactly the same. Come to class, study & practice! Take her class.

I haven't taken a college math class is almost over 10 years and Professor Bui made the class so much more interesting and understandable. Bui was always so patient and always was motivating students to just keep trying and soon the math with come to you, just like learning a new language or subject. I once had Professor Bui almost 10 years ago when I took algebra. I had her again for Business Calculus last semester and I was excited to have her again because she's the best math teacher I have ever had. I'm terrible at math and have always dreaded it, but the way Professor Bui explains and breaks things down is great. You won't regret it.

literally so amazing. she made all of the learning content so incredibly easy. she always explained everything very well and you can tell she definitely cares about her students. miss her so much!

Mrs. Bui was a great instructor. I would 100% take her again and would always recommend her as a college algebra professor. She knew how to engage all students into lecture and explain things really simple. She kept lecture fun and entertaining. Beware of 8-week classes if you do not feel confident in math.

Caring, supportive, polite teacher; her notes were clear/neat and that helped me a lot. She would kept explaining until I understood. My class was 8-week long, meeting 4 days/wk. So, I had to do hw every night; it helped me retain material better. If you struggled in math like me, take her and you will learn a lot.

Professor Bui makes math easy to understand. She's caring, organized and explains concepts clearly. Homework and quizzes are challenging but fair. Using Unstuckstudy along with the textbook helped me ace this class.

Take. This. Professor. She is not only witty, relatable, and a sweetheart, but also an amazing professor. Her notes are incredibly helpful and she literally takes the same question format from them into her tests so just study the notes. Honestly, the homework can be harder than the quiz or test questions. I passed with a 97! Go to class though!

I love examples progressed from easy to difficult and how she built notes based students' knowledge and connected it to the new lecture. Tests were fair, had challenging questions. Comprehensive test helped a lot. Hw questions were hard, but doable. I reviewed her notes and reworked hw before each test. She is kind, wants students to succeed.

I always dislike math until I took Prof. Bui's class. Great examples/instructions. I struggled with algebra at first, but she patiently helped me get over it. Do hw nightly. Her teaching style & patience got me through 8-week class. Take her class!

Such a great math teacher. Made calculus digestible and approachable for beginners, but still covered all the info needed for future classes. It's hard to get a professor who's class is easy to get a good grade in, but also who actually teaches you the material completely, and she does exactly that. Can't recommend her enough

She is very caring, nice, and always willing to stay longer to help me. I struggled so much in math before, but somehow I understand her well. Her notes/explanation are clear and neat. Expect to have daily hw and quiz. She makes us list the main ideas before a test, which is super helpful. I already registered for her fall class. Thank you Prof. B

I took the MATD-0370 over the summer. I can't express how amazing Mrs. Bui is. Math was not a strong suit, but I ended with an A in this class. She offered staying after class almost every day if you needed extra help. This class is clear and organized, and the learning criteria matched the tests. She's also a VERY lenient grader, which is a plus.

They're amazing! Genuinely the best math teachers I've ever had. They give you notes, lots of things to be graded on, with the lowest of each dropped, and they are quick and eager to help. My only complaint would be their weird office hours. Highly recommend!
