she's awesome. she works you hard but it pays off!

Tisa is a hot jada pinket. She is the best calc teacher at ISU. That moron who said she doesn't know how to teach must be an idiot because i suck at math and i got a B in the class. She explains everything very clearly and passes out the notes for that days class. Seriously she is hot!!

She takes some getting used to. The first couple classes I would get mad at her cause when i asked a question she gave me attitude. After awhile though she gets more comfortable and so do you. Then i saw what a very good teachers she was and if you ask for help you will get it

She's a really good teacher. It takes a little getting used to her style, but if you figure her out then there is no reason you shouldn't get at least a B. I'm not good at math and should get an A. The only annoying thing is that all her ec papers are on minorities.

She's a great teacher. She helps you with any problems you may have. She has a good sense of humor and it is easy to understand what she teaches. If you are going to take this class, have her as a teacher!!!

She is a great teacher. At first, it took some time to get used to her sarcasm-but shes a fun lady. She knows how to teach math, and if you go to class, there is no reason not to get a B or A. Shes really big on you showing your work, but thats no big deal. You WILL be prepared for the final.

awesome teacher, gives class ntes that she actually writes and are very easy to understand. you should become friends and joke around with her and youll do fine, calc is hard as hell though so you do gotta go to every class and study your ass off, so be ready

Awsome teacher! I hate math and she made Calc as good as it could have been for me. EC papers did help. Do them. I got a B and thought i was gonna fail for sure. You have to go to class though.

I'm horrible at math, and missed several classes due to illness, and I still got an A in her class. She explains things well and if you make it to most classes, you should do just fine.

she was great. i loved her sense of humor. she's very understanding. it was the most fun i've had in any math class. she does have high expectations but gives a lot of encouragement and feedback.

Trask was fun and engaging. She cared about the students and the material. I would suggest that anyone take her. Those who complained in class were usually the ones who were not doing the work.

The material for her applied calc class is very difficult, but I found her to be very helpful. She challenges her students and makes the class hard, but if you ask her questions she is happy to help. One of the few teachers I've had who seems to genuinely care about the education of her students.

Great teacher, although her sarcasm is something to get used to. If you do all the work you will most likely get a B or higher. People who think she is a bad professor are the type of students that don't do the homework or even bother showing up to class.

The class was difficult at first but it got easier. She has some group tests, which helped; but if you make her angry she takes those away! If you pay attention and do the work it should be easy to get an A.

She likes to buy a lot of things. Take her class and make sure you have a lot to offer because she has lots of money and will buy it. "I'll buy that"

She is impossibly hard. I go to class everyday and do the homework and am still only getting a C. Her exams she makes to her standards so where it only takes her a half hour it takes the entire class at least an hour and a half so we don't finish. She is a nice teacher and understanding, but her grading methods are overall unfair.

She is very intimidating at first. She will warm up though. Go to class everyday! Extra credit saved my grade. Extremely picky! Copy her work exactly for exams. Has your best interests at heart though. Majority of her students pass the class. Allows groups from time to time on quizzes and one test. Loves participation! Do the homework. NO BOOK REQ

Super strict teacher, but an incredible math teacher. She is scary at first but eventually becomes an awesome lady!

Extremely hard!!! She has office hours but acts like she doesn't want you there. I emailed her and left messages, and they were never returned, and it was very important during finals.

She was pretty tough but a great teacher! I didn't think I could possibly get an A but I did.. she's very helpful and makes everything very clear.. really liked her

it is her first semester teaching this class. she is not the best teacher but not horrible either. she's good at explaining the material but she is kinda of rude. The class is fairly easy though so she plays a very small role in the learning of the material. Don't take her if you don't have to, but if you do don't fret you will do fine.

Not a bad teacher at all. Course is tough but she shows easy ways to solve tougher problems. Much better then some other teachers out there.

I enjoyed this class. Tisa is a good teacher and explained everything in a easy matter. She offered a 5 point extra credit paper (one page) before each exam. If students did poorly on exam altogether, she allowed us to correct one exam to receive more points. Great teacher. Enjoyed the class. I would recommend if you do well with math.

Anyone who says Trask is horrible does not know how to study and must really suck at math. She is my favorite teacher I've had at ISU. If you go into her office hours with a specific question and not like a clueless idiot she'll help you out no problem. I went into the final with a 97% so anyone who thinks this class is soooo impossible is crazy

Im not so sure why everyone thinks Tisa is such a bad teacher. her teaching method is unconventional but helpful. I got an A by just going to class every day, doing the extra credit and doing to homework mostly every night.

I found this class very easy. It was her first time teaching 120 in 9 years or so. I got A's on all of the exams and she offers her help. She also gives you to chance to frop your lowest test score if you visit her 5 times in her office hours

Great Teacher! At first she seemed like she did not care about the students, but i think she presents herself that way so students could drop her class. Anyway, she is very helpful and clear. It is a challenge and if you want to actually learn, take her.

Very intimidating at first but class gets much easier! She gives you an example of each type of problem you need to know for each test. You need to be willing to put in the effort and she'll be willing to help. Very funny and sarcastic. Others in my class had taken the other MAT 121 teacher first semester and switched, they preferred Trask.

Tisa Trask is by far one of my most favorite professors. She comes off as a bit "interesting" at the beginning, but she warms up quickly. We had a fun class and she would always joke around with us. She gave quite a bit of quizzes, but they were mostly partner quizzes and really helped us better learn the material. Don't get the book. TAKE TISA :)

She gives a lot of extra credit, and tells you what she will take points off for on tests. She is rude though and doesn't seem to care about the students, everything is around her schedule, and she acts like her class is the only class that matters.

She is a good teacher that helps you alot. Go to class and if you dont understand something she will gladly help you in office hour. she comes off mean and strict, but she is really not it all for fun. a lot of extra credit and she prepares you for the final well.

She is a good teacher if you listen to her. If you do not do exactly what she asks she will mark points off. She also warns you multiple times daily to do exactly what she does or you will not pass her class. Also you dont need the book she had it all for you so waste of money there. If you need help dont be rude about it. She will be great help.

I thought her class really wasn't bad. She is extremely sassy and sarcastic, but that is what made me enjoy her class. She is extremely set on you doing the problems EXACTLY how she does them, but she is extremely clear about that since the start. All you have to do is take good notes and memorize how she wants stuff done. It's not that bad!

You will learn the material pretty easily but she is WAY to picky on who to do her problems. You have to label and show every tiny little detail and it is almost impossible to remember everything you have to show. You will learn but you won't get credit for it

Yes, this is a difficult class, but if you take it with another teacher you WILL regret it. Mrs. T can be a hard ass, but it will pay off on the final, I only got a C in the class because math is my worst subject, but put some effort in DONT BUY THE BOOK ,print off all her notes, attend class and you'll be fine!

Mrs. T is a really good teacher and has a good sense of humor. yeah the class is really hard but it will be with every other teacher too. she does grade the test really hard but if you study hard for the class you can easily get a B. DON'T BUY THE BOOK

Absolutely hate math so this course was more difficult than any other class I've taken. I've taken her twice. She's really not that bad and clearly states what she wants to see on the tests so you can get points. Attendance quizzes happen every so often. If you don't go to class the harder it will be.

She was great teacher. she was funny and enthusiastic about the material. An A in this class is completely possible, just pay attention and take notes

She has NO CONSISTENCY! That's why she has some good ratings and some horrible. When the semester started she said "Lucky you I have more time on my hands this semester so we'll have more pop quizzes". Turns out she NEVER gives you enough time to finish said quizzes (or tests for that matter). As a result, I almost failed.

This is the hardest class I have taken in college by far. Ms. Trask is very strict and specific in what she wants. Her expectations for the class are very clear from the first day of class. She wants you to know a lot of specific rules for tests and quizzes. For quizzes you can work with a partner. Recommend taking this class at community college

She's great and works with you to try and help. You have to pay attention and take notes to do well. Doing Homework isn't necessary, but it helps SO MUCH. My lowest test so far is a 90. Hoping I get her for MAT121

I absolutely loved having Mrs. T! I took both MAT120&MAT121 with her. She makes coming to class fun, and truly cares about teaching the material in a clear and easy way. She doesn't grade homework, but do it anyway because there are "pop" (she hints before) quizzes frequently. Don't buy the book for 121. She also encourages coming to office hours.

Shes really good at her job. Shes there to teach and thats what she does. Shes VERY monotone, so it can be a little hard to pay attention. Her jokes are hard to catch, but if you do, theyre funny.

She reallyyyy cares about helping students! Math 121 was very hard but she made sure that you understood always gave you the ability to always come to her with questions. Quizzes everyday but THEY REALLY HELP! All you have to do is study!

Was a great professor, and had cared about students. If you do the homework and go to class you will for sure get an A or B.

This is the most difficult class at ISU so I beg of you please don't take it through ISU if at all possible. BUT if you absolutely have to take it through ISU then take Dr. Trask. She really is a great teacher but the course material is extremely difficult. Dr. Trask will NOT round grades no matter what so keep that in mind.

This was my second time taking Mat121 and I really liked Trask! Shes probably one of the best for ISU standards. She makes videos explaining the topic the night before and gives you the problems so you use the class period reviewing and asking questions. Go to office hours, she gives extra credit at the end to whoever went the most!

I took this class last year and contrary to all the above comments, I thought she was one of the better MAT 121 professors. I had to retake this class and took it with her the second time. She is a tough professor don't get me wrong but so is this class. She accommodated me when my computer broke during an exam which allowed me to pass the class

pretty hateful person. also a lot of information covered. mainly just a very hateful person. like you can hear it in their tone and facial expressions that they live a hateful life. never seen a smile. not even a smirk. just hate.

Dr. T was a pretty good professor, the class itself is difficult but as long as you participate and keep up with assignment you should be alright.
