She has been the BEST professor I have been fortunate to take! She is very intelligent, helpful, clear in class. Not to mention very pretty as well! lol! Mrs. Lackey is awesome, I toke her summer 2 class and passed with an A. She lets you know what is expected and how everything should be done. She also creates a great learning environment for her students. We didn't really use the book but you should just rent it. I learned a lot from her and i'm sure you can to take Mrs. Lackey!

Professor Lackey is an excellent professor. She makes the traditional formal class room environment laid back in order to create an easier place to give your speeches. I was afraid I would cry in class because I was so afraid but she does anything you need to be comfortable in the class, even if you need to give your speech just to her or something else. There is 1 written test. She tells you exactly what will be on the test & the answers so you can't fail!

This teacher is amazing. Not only did she teach you the academic lesson, she also teaches you life lessons. She makes the class really enjoyable and she clearly states what she wants and gives a clear outline for the rubric so the speeches are easy as long as you rehearse it. Take notes from lecture PPT slides! Mid-Term of 99 questions comes directly from lecture slides and definitions. Speech rubric gives you all you need to know on how to structure and deliver your speeches. Get past the sweaty palms and the rest should be copacetic. By the way Professor Lackey is very down to Earth and approachable.

She is very clear about the assignments and makes you feel so comfortable that even the most shy person would walk out of her class with the ability to public speak. I loved professor Lackey i would definitely recommend her class to anyone. I am really shy but she made me feel so comfortable she helped me prep my speeches and she is an easy grader. I only took one test and there is 3 speech plus the final which is a short speech on what you learned. You won't regret it if you take her I promise.

Took Mrs. Lackey for spring 2016, she really cares about her students. Trust me I was not comfortable with public speaking but she's there to walk you through it. Do expect to do group projects, and your attendance does make a difference so don't expect an easy A. 42 Overall I will take her class again

Proffesor Lackey is a great instructor. By far the best instructor I have had the privaledge of having while attending Mountain View College. I dealt with multiple funerals and an injury to my mother during the semester I had Professor Lackey, she was understanding and very helpful in working around my hectic schedule. Prof. Lackey is great at showing her students she cares about them and their studies. She makes her lectures entertaining and it helps with the memorization. Most of your speeches are in a group setting so beware when selecting your team members.

I had Professor Lackey last semester and she was awesome! I just heard she is offering blended classes in Spring of 18 and I am so jealous! You only go to campus one day a week - sign up for Monday blended and you meet Mondays, but work on line Wednesdays or vice vesrsa for Wednesday blended. I wish I would had this chance!! Take her!!

Professor Lackey is a fantastic teacher. Her lectures are great and she has some funny stories. If you do the work, you'll have no problem passing and she gives you rubrics with every little thing she wants. Follow the rubrics and study for the one and only test (her midterm) and you'll get an A.

I took this class in spring 2018 and it was an easy A. You do have to go to class and you do need to participate. She is fun and caring do NOT drop class if your going threw something talk to her she will work with you. There is group projects but very easy,one essay paper due, midterm and final were very easy.

16 WK: There are 9 discussion boards and 2 essays that require you to create and submit an outline. The 2 essays/speeches need to be recorded and then submitted. Not too much work.
