Tremendous educator. TJ has a geniune desire to teach the material and help her students succeed. Very Knowledgeable about the material and helps offer both historical and modern examples to facilitate the learner process. By far the most engaged and interesting professor I've had in my undergraduate and graduate studies.

Phil of Women - fabulous the best most interesting class I have ever taken. She is just wonderful top notch.

One of the best profs I had at FHSU! She is intelligent, fun and you can tell she genuinely likes her students and wants to see them succeed!

TJ has a great passion for the course but it is labor intensive. A lot of writing... A lot! But the teacher is helpful when it comes to correcting what isn't understood and get's back to you QUICK! I would take her again if I could, but it is a difficult course. BS'ers-BEWARE. You won't fake this course.

This course was taken entirely online. I really enjoyed this professor. You know from day 1 what all the assignments are for the semester along with the due dates. Clear and open discussion by the professor. Requires participation in the online class discussion boards. Cant go with with TJ Reilley.

Well prepared and engaging with the material. Class was completely over internet. Expect to check email and forum (D-Board) several times a week. Provided quick feedback on all assignments and required posts. Expect to put in some hours as the material requires thought in your responses. I would like to take another course with this Professor.

Class was a little tough but not too hard if you put in the effort. Professor was well organized, fully engaged with discussion board posts, and quick at giving feedback for all assignments. I learned a lot from this class and professor. Would definitely take another course from the same professor.

This is the best online teacher I have ever had! Fast reply to emails, excellent feedback, and understanding. She participates in discussion boards to keep all students on track. This prevents useless/pointless/offensive discussions. The work requires thought, but it isn't overly stressful/frustrating. If only all online teachers were this good!

TJ is the BEST! This was my second course with her, and she is amazing. Her response time to your emails are very fast so that clarity can be made. She is a great teacher, and a great person. I wish every teacher was this good.

Not an easy class; low points & req'd participation. Material was interesting and the DVD format of lessons were awesome; it made it much more personable. LOTS of outlines provided! Some lingo she used was over my head (not big words, but aloof/philosophical style speak) but overall things were understandable. She was always helpful with questions.

This online class was not an easy class, but if you asked questions and got your assignments done on time, you could definitely get the grade. Discussion Board is used a lot, and your write 5 papers the require some in depth thinking. It was interesting, TJ would help anyone who took the time to call or email. She is a great teacher.

She expects a lot of her students but she puts a lot into the class herself and outlines the class very well for her students. This was my first introduction to Philosophy. Tj did a great job in presenting the materials to learn the basics. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact I enjoyed philosophy. I don't see the point in rating a professor's hotness...so let's skip that. TJ is very thorough and comprehensive. Instructions are straight forward for assignments. Video lectures are very helpful. Interesting class, odd teacher. Theories from the text are "tweaked" to the teachers views, then the lessons come from her notes. This is an odd mixture of reciting her views with your own interpretation. Easy class with some effort required. I would recommend taking courses from this teacher.

T.J. Reilley utilized video-taped lectures, the textbook, and other resources provided on Blackboard, in an effort to transfer her awesome amount of knowledge to the class. I thoroughly enjoyed her teaching style and this class.

Professor Reilley is one of the best teachers I encountered. She is an expert in her field and her methods of teaching are admirable. The only "tool" that you will need in this class is your head. Of course, you will have to read couple of chapters and follow the directions, but that is about it. She is extremely helpful, friendly, and fun.

Intro to Philosophy. This instructor took an abstract subject and brought it down to the real world so that real people can understand the subject, and apply it to real life. TJ is, hands down, the most caring, interactive, and inspirational instructor I have encountered at FHSU. Take a class from her! But act fast. Her classes fill up quickly!

I was unsure of how this class would be as I needed it for my major. This ended up being a wonderful class! The thought provoking questions and excellent feedback has made me a better student. This was an easy class, and she was helpful. However, she is very opinionated and believes she is correct on all accounts. The assignments are easy once you figure out her confusing schedule. It gets better though! don't sweat this class like I did in the beginning.

TJ is very nice and wants you to do well. You are going to have to read and think about what you read in this class. 4 papers. She is very generous on grades. She just wants to see you have the idea and put thought into it. Weekly discussion with 2 replies needed. I would take this class again. More interesting than I thought it would be.

What I love about Dr. Reilley courses is that she teaches the course where you will learn the subject she is teaching you. Grades are important of course, but to me learning the subject is even more important, we are not always be able to comprehend what were being taught at that moment, but as time goes on in the course, it all comes together.

TJ is truly a caring professor, she wants everyone to succeed and learn to think deeply. She's also quirky funny and interesting.

Weekly discussion boards that are important, and really helpful, for the assigned papers.

I didn't know at the beginning how I would enjoy a highly philosophical ethics class. I didn't think I had a philosophical bone in my body, but now I understand more what philosophy is. She is a super positive and encouraging instructor. She is truly a light in what is a very impersonal, online learning environment.

This professor is A+ and deserves recognition. Although her class is simple, there are layers of wisdom that would help the students become better professionals. There are no tests or quizzes but it is replaced by assignments that make the students think critically about how to be ethical in the workplace. Her lectures are very helpful! Thanks TJ!

Thought driven class that requires work and serious input. DB required, good amount of material to go over but amazing outlines provided. Thought I would hate it, ended up loving it.

Great class to take for Upper Division credit. Assignments were easy, as long as you watch the lectures and use your book. Grading was very fair. If you do your work, which isn't too much, then the class is an easy A; however, you will learn a lot of information that will help greatly to understand inevitable ethical dilemmas in the future.

Going into this class I was weary about it, but it ended up being my favorite class this semester. I even checked if this teacher offered any other classes because I enjoyed her so much. I have will continue to recommend this course to other students. Job well done!

Professor Reilly thoroughly read all of my class assignments and provided feedback and graded fairly. On the assignments where I didn't put in much effort she graded appropriately, but when I did, she showed encouragement and pleasure. She is truly a great teacher and wants to see her students develop.

Starting out the semester I was afraid I was going to be over my head, turns out this was by far my favorite class of the semester, hoping to find her for a class again.

I enjoyed the class and felt like the expectations were clear and she was always available to answer any questions. Not difficult as long as you participate and do the work.

Professor Reilley made learning fun! The interaction she had with the class was always to provoke thought and helped to make the class enjoyable. I felt like really learned a lot this semester.

Professor Reilley is an excellent professor, well-informed in the subject matter. I would take any course offered with her if I weren't graduating this semester! Understanding professor, gives clear feedback and saved a semester almost ruined by constant hospital issues and personal stress. Course has lots of reading in order to participate in discussions so be present. Professor Reilley responds to emails in a timely fashion.

Prof. Reilley is a wonderful teacher! Prof. Reilley responds to emails very quickly, the essays and discussion boards and clear and really get you thinking, and the best part if that philosophy changes your life. You really use the material and apply it to your own life. I have learned so much and my life has improved. I am taking another course!

The professor has high expectations in regard to participation and the amount of reading and number of papers required, but the grading is very fair, and the content is all relevant.

Professor Reilly is amazing! I would not consider her class difficult because all the tools you need are provided, she participates constantly, and responds very quickly to questions. That being said, be prepared for constant participation and proof of understanding. If you take any of her classes, be prepared to become a better you!

To be honest I initially dreaded the thought of taking this class, but after the first week I began to notice I was applying the lessons in this course to really life situations. This course opened my mind to an increased and improved ethical way of thinking, which has helped both my personal and professional relationships.

Professor Reilley expects students to work for the grade. She also encourages thought provoking conversation, self-reflection and models a great deal of respect for all. She does have lectures through video however it is easy to follow and she keeps it interesting. When I had questions she clarified for me and took the time to check in with me.

"Gives good feedback" but not a good grading criteria. Thus, I didn't know I didn't "meet guidelines" until I got the feedback. Would have written a much better paper if I had known how it was going to be graded.

Tj, is one of the best teachers I have ever had. This semester was my first virtual college experience. She made what felt like a whole new world very easy to get used to it. With technology and the amazing hand she lent when in need of any questions, I am ready to finish out my degree via virtual college. I had a great experience because of her.

Professor Reilley is one of the best instructors I have had in the last two years. Online courses can sometimes feel lonely in your efforts but the professor stays in touch and is extremely fair minded. Get ready to both learn and be enlightened in this class.

Professor Reilley is extremely friendly and willing to help you out whenever you need it! Her assignments and due dates are clear, the directions for expectations and assignments are clear, as well. This certainly isn't a course you can slack off in, but if you do the reading and listen to the lectures, assignments won't be to difficult, at all!

Take ANY course from THIS Professor when you have the time and inclination to give the course its proper due. Philosophy is how humans proceed through lifedo you want to go through it upstream without a paddle? This professor and the coursework/reading that was selected will expand your mind and make you a human BE-ing instead of a human DO-ing.

With it being an online class there are a lot of discussion boards. Make sure you follow the criteria that she provides to get full points. There is a paper due every two to three weeks. She gives you feedback for every paper explaining what you might have missed points for. I do suggest you not waiting until last minute to do any assignment.

In philosophy online all you have is a few papers I'd say 5 or so. If you're good at writing you'll be fine. You do have to post a class discussion weekly also. There was NO tests or quizzes. :)

Absolutely great hands on professor. She makes you feel valued and important. There are quite a few reading and writing assignments, but she has a clear format for how everything is done. Easy grader. Discussions are great. The only complaint have is that the setup of her blackboard is a complete mess, so it can be difficult to find what you need.

Expectations are clear, but very reasonable. Her approach was laid back, which made the class really enjoyable. The work load was within reason and the class content was enlightening. One of the better classes and instructors by far. Two thumbs up and one snap!

I've taken 2 classes thus far in my Philo. major with TJ and she is incredible. This cannot be overstated. It is normal to feel a little overwhelmed by the layout of the blackboard at first which takes a few weeks to get used to. The class consists of a few papers and mostly DB posts. No tests, ever. TJ excels at making her students feel important.

Tj was great at getting our class to really think about the issues we were studying, and everyone could easily tell that she cared about the students and practiced the lessons in real life. This is priceless.

Interactive with great feedback to students. Lots of different sources, tools to pull from and relatable. The online setup could be "dumbed" down a bit with the coursework being more straightforward. I found myself wondering why there were so many tabs and the course schedule a bit chaotic and hard to follow in the beginning, but adjusted.

This Professor truly cares about her students and success they have in achieving their goals!!! She is very open and reachable along with understanding. This is an easy A if you work hard, show you are genuine in your commitment and honest. She is very good at responding to emails and questions. I would take other courses which she is teaching!!

FHSU has a lot of excellent instructors but TJ stands out as one of the best. Her personality and passion shine through even in an online environment. Amazing feedback, extremely interactive (seriously, I still miss those discussion boards), and highly accessible. Takes a bit to get used to navigating the way she set up the course. Take her class!

TJ is a great online instructor. I went into business ethics with the mindset of hating it, but she has made it enjoyable. Her videos are funny & informational. It was sort of hard to navigate everything, but reading instructions carefully helps. So far I have 100% in the entire class.

I liked her class. She gives you a schedule and it has the due dates for everything on it already. Only 5 discussions worth 20 points each and they are easy. No papers, but you will have to watch a movie (emperor's club) during the middle of the semester. Only negative: her formatting is horrible. Assignment details are all over the place.

I took this as an 8-week class and it was not a problem at all. Must pay attention to due dates and times, and participation on discussion boards matters! TJ has a quirky personality, but you will love having class with her. Read the assigned chapters, listen to her lectures, and give the assignments some honest thought and you will do great! A++

TJ is one of the most organized professors I have ever experienced. Her details of what is expected is incredible. It is all laid out for you. Do the work on time and you will pass with flying colors. All work is opened ahead of time so you can see what needs to be done and plan accordingly. Can't wait for Women's Phil Class this fall!

TJ gives you all the tools you will need to succeed. There are video lectures that really help break everything down and you feel like you really get to know her through them. She also provides outlines. She wants you to succeed. If you need anything she is always happy to help. This class consists of mostly discussion boards and papers.

Not only was Professor Reilley able to clearly explain the concepts we needed to learn, she was also able to fully engage her students in discussions. Of all the online courses I have taken, none have ever been able to engage students in such deep thought discussions as this one had. I can honestly say this class has helped me learn and grow.

Tj was a great prof for this class. She gives very detailed feedback, is accessible outside of class, and is quick with grading. Listen to the lectures and use the provided outlines. DBoards and Writing Assignments almost every week, but it's very manageable even in an 8-wk class. This was a very philosophical ethics class, but content is great.

TJ takes time to give detailed feedback to all assignments. She appreciates your personal input & will give you a good grade if you are specific on your assignments and give personal examples.

IDS 401 is a great class to take, I needed an IDS course for one of my requirements. There were no papers, just an assignment due each week along with participating in that weeks discussion forum. Professor Reilley is very responsive and grades homework really fast. You wont regret taking the class!

She is one of the best professors I've had! I strongly recommend her. She offers engaging weekly discussions and homeworks, but they aren't difficult, it's more about reflecting on past, present, and future actions and their consequences, how to make positive changes. Having finished this course, I definitely want to take more classes with her.

She is a little odd, but she was far more engaging than any online professor I've seen. I found the online structure to be a bit unorganized. She had so many things in many different folders. The work wasn't too hard though.

This was a great class and I enjoyed TJ Reilley a lot. The class was completed online but with the lectures, discussion boards, and homework I never felt it lacked anything. She is quick to respond to emails, discussion boards, and grades fast. Overall, one of the better classes I've taken at FHSU.

Professor Reilley was great with feedback, which is crucial in online classes. It was hard making sense of all the content folders at first, but once I read through them and got use to her organization structure, it was no problem. It was a great, thought provoking class and will take some of the lessons with me.

This is a practical class with information to use outside the classroom. She makes you think. I would suggest folks take this course as a junior, senior, or non-trad just to have more life experiences before you take the course. Highly recommend TJ.

You'll get out of this class what you put in. There are weekly discussions, but they are interesting and thought provoking. TJ is passionate about philosophy/ethics and wants students to open their minds. You can take "non-textbook" stances on topics as long as you explain yourself well. I liked the lectures, and I would take again.

Best professor I've taken at FHSU. She is incredibly kind, responsive, & available with any questions. Class consists of weekly discussion board & a typed assignment with all the info needed in the book & her organized outlines. No quizzes/tests. I didn't know how much I'd learn coming into this class, and it was honestly one of the stepping stones to a degree, so I thought, "why not?" I was amazed at how much I learned about ethics. Not just in business situations either. These tools will be handy in any type of situation. I enjoyed the class, and Ms. Reilley's teaching immensely.

Very understanding and caring - if you do your work and really put in effort to your responses, you will do well. Many of the responses are YOUR own opinions/beliefs rather than just a generic prompt to fill out. This makes being involved in class both fun and entertaining as you are free to express yourself. I was a little hesitant about taking this class but I am glad I did! Tj is an amazing professor. If you pay attention to the lectors and the outline, homework assignments are a breeze. I believe this course should be taught as a requirement in all high schools and colleges. This is the one course that I have truly enjoyed and I will practice what I have learned in this course. I think it will be very useful to business owner's and their employees to take this course.

Without a doubt one of my favorite classes to take and Professor Reilley made it more eye opening to topics I never truly thought about. She took the time and gave great outlines and lectures it really helped. Even the assignments were made in such a way to force you to think outside the box and her feedback was always helpful.

Gives good lectures that make it easier to understand the textbook. I thought the class would be very hard but it wasn't that hard actually. Just make sure to participate in the discussion board and you understand the material in the textbook well.

Professor Tj Reilley has an amazing PHIL 120 course. They take great care to make sure that students feel free to discuss anything, and they cover important topics. There is a lot of reading involved but overall not a difficult class. Just read the material and put thought into your discussion board/writing assignments.

I had a very good experience with Professor Reilley. There was a decent amount of work to do, but it wasn't overwhelming and Professor Reilley always had good feedback to give.

I was overwhelmed and nervous when the class started. But ending the course I learned a lot. Things that apply to everyday life. This is much more valuable than just taking the course for credits.

Professor Tj blends academic, philosophical knowledge with real world experiences, so that the topics covered are presented from multiple perspectives and without bias. Excellent professor, the best teacher I've had this semester. Lots of feedback on every essay and assignment. You will really learn a lot in this class. The reading assignments are not too much. Highly recommended!!!

THANKS to RMP for removing those awful comments. This is Professor Reilley ... I would like to respond to the 3 false reviews posted here on Dec, 29 and 30 of 2023. None of the courses cited are ones I teach, so this 'student' did not take a course with me as they claim here. I asked RMP to remove all totally false, racist, and inaccurate posts.

Prof Reilley has been one of the most involved instructors I've had. She gives great feedback, answers back quickly, and gives great outlines to aid in the lectures. As long as you read the lessons and listen to the lectures, you will do great! 10/10 would take another class!

This class was fun, and I always looked forward to seeing what new and creative way feedback would be worded week to week.

Professor TJ is awesome! Engaging lectures, thoughtful feedback, and easy-to-navigate assignments. Applying yourself pays off - gain knowledge and a great grade. unstuckstudy AI was super helpful for study prep.

TJ was a fantastic professor. The entire semester in her class was stressful, but in the most rewarding way. I learned so much, and although I gained a couple of grey hairs due to subject matter; TJ always did an excellent job in providing feedback and challenging us. I would take her courses again.
