Take his class!!!

He's a great teacher...sometimes he gives a lot of work, but overall, I would take another class with him!!

He is one of the best teachers I had yet! He is really smart and he teaches really well. His test are very easy if you study and take good notes but he explains every so well and he really helps you to understand everything. I would definetly take him!!

One of the very few intellengent, helpful and patient teachers I've had at Bergen. He makes the subject interesting and fun...great sense of humor. I would definitely take him again!

I have taken DeMarco in 3 classes. Intro, Contemp. Moral Issues and also an honors Eastern Philosophy. He is by far one of my favorites. Very easy going as long as you participate, grades the same on every test and paper, speeks clear. Take his classes

One of the best teachers I've had at Bergen. Great attitude, amazing amount of intelligence, very helpful, and he takes the time to do a basic overview of material covered at the beginning of each class.

He is a great professor. Clear with his explanations. Very professional, but make sure you read the textbook, and practice the exercises, because he assigns a lot of work from the book.

u got to actually want to learn philosophy to understand this class, he teaches well, but i hate the subject itself, however the essay topics he gives are quite hard, his midterm exam covers a lot of material so its helpful to study in groups.

Great teacher. Very smart. Ask him anything and he knows the answer.Best teacher i ever had. Cool experience.

this guy's class was never lacking interest, he has a great knowledge of philosophy, history, language, and many other things you'd never think of....all of which he incorporates into his class sessions, his grading is not difficult and very fair

This teacher is the best!!! took him for summer1, and had a great time learning about philosophy. He's very smart, and knows his stuff. Exams are easy just take good notes. I really recommend this teacher.

covers a lot of material so take good notes (they'll help!), always willing to talk about anything, makes philosophy fun, totally fine with making jokes or being serious, overall one of the best teachers i've ever had

Demarco is one of my favorite professors ever! He has an unbelieveable amount of energy and knowledge that he brings into each class. Even if you had no interest in the subject, he makes you want to pay attention.

Funny guy.. Knows his stuff... to much stuff to know for the mid term for a class that is riduculous

This prof. is not only hot, but he's like a big teenager. He teaching is soo awesome and he is clear and always is there to explain things. the best teacher i ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Don't bother buying the big book, just buy the two little ones, he goes over everything so precisly that you just need your notes to study for the tests...Easy A...great teacher...nerver bored

My Professor Tobyn's class is the most interesting class I have ever had. I'm taking his basic logic class. In his class, u'll gain knownledge in many different fields not just learn logic. He explain everything very clear than textbook. He's excellent and patient. A+++++++++++++ and 100000000 stars

He's a good teacher and he is pretty practical. He offers you help and everything is there for you. The only thing is that you really need to study and make sure you pay attention. Other than that he's brilliant, knows his stuff .. and not bad to look at.

He's the best Professor ever! He knows what he's talking about and h is very smart. He helped me a lot with my essays for other colleges. If you really want to learn take him. The class was very interesting and you will never forget him. He is the best professor I have ever had!

Great teacher, fun classes. I participated a lot in his class and usually had a great time with some good discussions. I did really well on the essays but the tests were pretty hard so it brought my grade down a lot. He's a smart and fun teacher.

This guy is very smart. He teaches his material with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. He is very helpful to students and will never let them down. Be sure to get him at some point to fulfill any part of your philosophy requirements.

If You want to get an A, then take his class. You don't even need the textbook just listen carefully during his letures. The exams are very simple and easy. He is the best professor in BCC.

DeMarco is awesome! He is not a difficult professor at all. The tests are relatively easy as long as you attend class and take notes.

I failed this class the first time because I didn't study enough. He's a really great professor but if you don't pay attention in class & read the text you will fall behind. The material itself is pretty boring; he tries to make it relate to real life though. 2 good things about this class is there are only 4 multiple choice tests & no papers!

Really smart guy, actually teaches well. Not a lot of work, but whatever he assigns requires a lot of input. Definetly will take another class with him. Also, he is really funny and intelligent.

Very willing to work with you...will offer to give you a challenge if you think you are above the class...He is just an Awsome person...very amusing too.

Incredible professor! Has great respect for, and knowledge of, the material and explains/applies it clearly. Has a very good sense of humor and appreciates class participation. Is engaging and extremely generous with his time. He inspired me to change my major to philosophy!

my class was honors so we had a lot more work than usual, but he made it a fun class. i failed the midterm but got an a on the final, and i ended up with a B+ for the class. he's brilliant, too. he is a challenging prof. but he is really good looking. ask him about his fear of germs, hahaha

Prof. DeMarco is an AMAZING professor. Great knowledge of his field and a great sense of humor. Usually decked out with sunglasses and a serious look, strick but has a heart that's soft, extremely approachable. As an older student the class was challenging but if I had to do it over again I would. Run and Sign up for anthing Tobyn is teaching!!

he's the best teacher in bcc. he helps you out when you need it and tells you the people who are more knowledgeable with the subject (you don't want a dunce tutoring you). he makes class really fun, has a kick ass personality, and he's really smart in general. BUT do not take him if you want an easy "A". you must study to pass his class.

I took this class Summer I, not a good idea (for me), however interesting the subject, it does take some time to digest and understand, especially in 6 weeks. Though I did not do as well as I could have, Demarco made an impression. He is very intelligent (and knows it), kind of intimidating, but worth sitting through class and listening to.

Self centered. But at the same time he really knows how to teach and gets you motivated to learn. If he has a problem with you, he doesnt pull you to the side to talk about it, he airs it out vaguely and anonymously infront of everyone, atleast with me.

He's excellent! He knows his subject. This class was a Professional Ethics class and since I never had a Philosophy class before, I had to learn from the beginning. It was hard but teaches life lessons. He's also very fair when you work hard and show you want to learn.

It's not a easy A, but If you really wanna learn something take him. Explains everything very clearly. But have to study for the test.

Although he can be a bit condecsending at times, he's still a pretty good teacher.He curses on a regular basis but it makes w.e. he is saying or joking about funny.He speaks fast,but if you don't get something he tries to clarify it for you He often throws in pretty useless info like geometry,history,and literature lessons?but pretty interesesting.

Great teacher. However you won't like him if you have a lack of either: 1. intelligence or 2. sense of humor. He's very smart and knows what he's talking about. I can see where some would say he's conceited but it's in an entertaining manner. In fact, I'm currently in the follow-up to the course, intermediate logic. Easy if you're interested in it.

Greatest prof I ever had at Bergen but if you're not serious about learning you won't appreciate his brilliance, humor, or teaching methods. Tests r hard if u dont study. Makes everything so clear and interesting, I just love coming to his classes, he often brings unrelated interesting stuff to class, and I think it's great because it's always very interesting things and he's right the we should have more general knowledge, he's funny, and young, and smart, and I just love him.

He'll change your life. He is kind and knowledgeable. Your views will be altered and your mind will open up. He's BCC's best kept secret. He should be teaching at IV League... take his class! Anyone with a thinking mind will feel grateful to have crossed paths with him. He is invaluable.

He is an amazing teacher. He makes sure everyone is interested, having fun and learning. The only way to do poorly in this class is by not trying. Its not easy, but he is willing to give you all the help you need. You will also learn things far beyond the scope of the class. He is an asset to Bergen Community College.

An asset to BCC! Truely one of the best professors I have ever had. He makes sure you understand the material, and is a very fair grader. If you are looking to slack, don't take his class, but if you are truely looking to learn and expand your mind, take as many classes with him as you can.

I've noticed a very sharp contrast between the intelligent and uneducated people who use this site. Anyone who gives this man a poor rating has no appreciation for learning, stimulating discussion, or wit. It's no wonder the bad ratings all contain glaring grammatical errors.

I took three classes with this professor because he is simply *that* good. Fools beware: he will gleefully cut you down to size. His classes are challenging, but if you do the work and take good notes, you will do well. He might even change your way of thinking.

DeMarco is hot because he's confident and smart. I took his Logic class and it totally changed my methods of thought. He's really funny and makes fun of the slackers so that it usually goes over their heads. Take this class if you can study and take great notes, it's worth it!

Very intelligent, teaches at a college level. Easily one of my favorite professors! Keeps things stimulating -not a class for those who want things spoon-fed. Funny & smart. One of the best professors at Bergen. He is everything you would want from a professor. Really admirable for his intelligence. The class is hard but his teaching makes it easier. He is also very organized and his lectures are extremely helpful. Made me fall in love with Logic.

This man is brilliant and it was a pleasure to sit in on his class this semester. There's no guess work with your grade since he simply averages all 4 tests. No papers, no tough attendance policy, but for your own good don't miss a class. Each one is important! Enjoy

Professor DeMarco is the smartest and funniest guy ever! He makes a difficult class easy and fun. He explains the the material very well and his three tests are fair. He's also very helpful. I recommend buying the textbook brand new so you can work out the problems. If it wasn't for him, I would probably do bad in the class. Best Professor!

Prof DeMarco is one of the best in Bergen. His jokes will make the even the hardest lecture so much easier. People in class said that the tests were sneaky but I didn't found them too difficult, same exercises like in the book. Overall, if you have a possiblity - choose DeMarco!

He is really funny. Really smart. Really engaging. The class responded very positively to him. And the class material is interesting, The tests are almost exactly taken from the notes.

DeMarco is a must take for students who attend BCC. Going to a uni prior to this college, I could easily say that the material taught is as good as if not better! He is sophisticated, however, not pretentious. He is humble which is a huge plus and makes the student feel at ease! Very understanding:) It is hard to fail his course! Come on, take him!

I took a Reasoning class with Dr. De Marco at Bergen. Without a doubt, I can say he is one of the best lecturers at Bergen. His fields are classical philosophy and logic. Take his course if you need credits from Philosophy&Religion!!

I don't know what was going on at Rutgers. I took a Reasoning course with him at BCC last fall semester. He was awesome. the international students might feel difficult in his classes, but make an effort! :)

Professor Demarco is so smart and really funny! The class is pretty hard, but worth it if you're willing to do the work.

DeMarco was a great choice for intro! He is seriously the smartest man I have ever met, and probably the best prof at Bergen. He can be tough, but I learned so much in his class. As long as you are willing to work, he will totally help you. Def taking again!

Took his Logic over the summer and it was great. Probably the smartest man in the room. If I had to pick a candidate for Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, i would elect him!

Ok, so this class was actually very good. He makes the class interesting and he is slightly funny, not hilarious though. BE AWARE!!!! If you miss more than one or two classes, your grade is significantly lowered and you might as well drop the class. He allows 3 absences and THATS IT!! You can probably get by with out reading the text but GOOD LUCK
