Pop quizzes can get specific, and while Tod's section is more difficult, it's well worth the work. His incredible lectures make up for it!

I love Tod! I had him as our study abroad faculty, and Tod taught us many things about Australia that we didn't know about outside the business setting. He was caring and funny and would went out with us often to create bonds. *This is not a traditional lecture course.

He gives helpful resources you can download and review. I studied hard for this class, and this class had a strong impact on me!! I loved the subject and found areas that I was passionate about. Not to mention the BEST lecture at uw in my opinion - very engaging with his stories and involving his audience. Tough grading system, be sure to know it!

The lectures are fast-paced and challenging, but Professor Tod makes the class engaging with great guest speakers. Prepping with unstuck ai and the textbook can help you stay on top of the demanding grading. Definitely worth taking if you're up for the workload.

Most unclear course I have ever taken. As someone with a very high GPA, I maintain this through actually understanding every concept I learn for every class. It is impossible to do that here. Understanding concepts does not get you anywhere, as it is solely a memorization course of absurd amounts of information and random details.

Lots of typos in his lectures, exams, and instructions overall. It makes it hard to take seriously the extreme expectations he imposes on his students when his work is so careless. Only pro is that his lectures are usually interesting. Overall, dreaded going to this class because of the confusing content and lack of preparation materials.

Tod is a super interesting lecturer. I learned a lot. But be prepared to take lots of notes. His FEW exams are very Memory based. There is also only a few things that count toward your grade so make them count. But he seems like a smart and energetic guy. Always enjoyed coming to class.

3 years at UW, this is the first class I've made an effort to go to every lecture because they are actually engaging and beneficial. You can solely rely on the lectures and course pack and will be set. All tests are COMPLETELY memory based, so don't forget to note everything, questions r made to trick you! No canvas is annoying but not impossible.

Sit near the front and you will be super engaged because Tod is one of the best lecturers at the U. Don't fall behind on the readings and you will do fine in the class. This class is graded on 4 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. Keep in mind that every MGMT 200 course is graded on a curve with a median ~3.0 so you will get the grade you work for.

Quizzes and exams require STUDYING! Do not let yourself fall behind in this class. Tod is a great professor with great lectures, but do note his exams are difficult. I recommend reviewing the content before and after each lecture to avoid having to cram it all right before an exam. Despite the heavier workload, I would take his course again!

Tod is extremely talented at engaging students in lecture. The concepts covered are very relevant and interesting, and he is very knowledgeable. That being said, the amount of work in this class is overwhelming, his grading is harsh, and success hinges on memorization. Create flashcards of everything covered/assigned and you will be okay.

Fantastic teacher and amazing content. You can typically miss 3 questions on quizzes and still get 100%, which is nice and can make up for a lack of study guides. Quiz and test questions can be quite tricky, but after a quiz or two you get a feel for what kinds of things he may ask.

Tod is an amazing professor to get to listen to while sitting through lectures. He keeps all students very engaged and makes learning interesting. However, his quizzes and tests are harder than I have ever experienced. Towards the end of the class I started figuring out the way he writes tests. Read the true or false questions word for word!!!

Even though this class made me decide to go to law school, it did kill my GPA so decide if u wanna take this class wisely. tests are very hard and really theres only so much you can study for, theyre just very detailed and theres some trick questions in there so be careful and thoughtful. Other than that the class is SO fun and interesting.

Don't trust the other reviews; some of Tod's lectures are interesting, but he is the worst professor I have taken in terms of grading. His tests are already hard on their own, and he subtracts points if you get questions wrong. Only take if you want to dedicate most of your time to his class.
