This teacher is awesome! He really makes class interesting and fun. I don't mind coming to his class on fridays. You learn a lot and he has great industry experience that he relates to the class. He's passionate, which seems to be a rarity and he believes in his students.

AMAZING Professor. I wish he taught more classes... he's a fair grader and expects a lot from his students... but still helps them along the way. absolutely one of my favorite teachers hands down. hes had an amazing career and really cares so much about his students. he isnt that difficult a grader, as long as you put effort into your work. i would absoltely take his class again and again no question.

I loved this professor! I was worried at first because of what others were saying about him. After taking this class he was not hard as long as you do your work. He is very nice and really does his best to make things fun for us. Always willing to help as well. Great professor I would take him again!

Definitely one of my favorite professors. Clearly enjoys his job, and his advice from his time in the industry is relevant and helpful. He gives a lot of work, but it's not his choice per se- the team devel curriculum is rough for everyone. New appreciation for the course & he totally set a new precedent for me as far as professors go.

Professor Blumenthal is excellent! He really wants his students to do well and learn about the industry as a whole in this class. He requires you to do an essay each week, which is time consuming. There is also a midterm, final, and group presentation. He uses the book a lot during class. I highly recommend him!

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Would take him for every class if I could. He is true gem at FIT who cares about his students. Took us on a great field trip and prepares interesting power points. Projects are a lot of work, but he is an undeniably understanding and helpful professor. Tests are more than fair. I was bummed when the class was over! TAKE HIM!

Wants to give you a solid background on fashion for the real world. Gives you weekly one page papers, but basically gives you a good grade if you miss the mark as long as you put in some effort. Goes fast through the notes so studying can be hard and must read the textbook for the test.

This was my favorite class ever! One on one he can seem to be a little harsh, but during class he was funny & entertaining. He can be a little intimidating at first. As long as you pay attention in class, the tests are soo easy & the weekly quote assignments are easy (just go beyond the surface.. you'll understand). Definitely will take him again!!

He's tough, and he's not the easiest grader, but he does care about you, how you do, and is one of those teachers that actually knows the industry inside and out. He gives the best lectures that make an 8am enjoyable... He prepares you for life and your future career's expectations while leaving you inspired on the way!

Todd is such a great professor and has several years of Industry experience under his belt, which makes his lectures even more worthwhile. He's VERY smart, easy to talk to, and understanding. HOWEVER, expect several projects, two hard tests, and for him to call on you! He can be somewhat aggressive, but if you pay attention&do the work, he's great!

I loved this class! Prof Blumenthal is the best professor I've had by far. You can see that he is truly passionate about product development and teaching the class. He has an abundence of experience and knowledge. You have 3 projects and two exams. Just pay attention in class and take your time on the projects and you will get an A.

My favorite class by far! He's an amazing professor with a great teaching style. You'll learn in the classroom and also experience learning outside the classroom as well. The textbook is paper you need to print at staples for about $50, but its something I'll keep forever (if you like product development). No quizzes, 2 tests, and 4 fun projects.

Prof. Blumenthal is very intelligent, well-spoken, charismatic and passionate about the fashion industry. He has had much experience in product development, and always has a funny industry story to tie in during class lectures. Taking his class made me choose PD as my Bachelor's specialization. He is wonderful! Take if you get the chance!

He knows his stuff. If you want to get into product development, take his class because he will talk about his experience. His experience is what makes him stand out. He's overall a funny man. He will call you out for anything but dont be discouraged. Textbook quizzes every week. Exam 1 and 2 and Final. Then a final group project.

Honestly, one of the best professors at FIT. I would take him over and over again! Take this class if you truly want to learn something. You will leave the class knowing whether or not you want to go into PD. Because of his semester long project, that I showed a company, I received a paid product development internship. They loved how much I knew!

Very enthusiastic and passionate professor and a good professor to choose if this is the career you want. Very strict about deadlines and attendance (2 absences max) grade consists of a three part project and midterm and final the project is a lot of work and choose your partner very wisely because it'll make or break the class and your grade

Professor Blumenthal expects the very best from his students. If you listen and pay attention, you will do fine. His class was my hardest this past semester. I put many many hours into our 3 part group project. It was the most detailed assignment I've ever had, and he is the most legitimate college professor I've ever had too. It was all worth it.

This professor probably taught me the most of any teacher I've had here. The term project is a lot of work, but as someone who did it alone, it's at least enjoyable. He grades fairly tough and wants his students to do their best, but he's just tough because he wants all his students to learn the material. Great guy.

Have 3 exams throughout the class and must take pretests each week after reading the assigned book chapter. Textbook is necessary.

One of the best professors at FIT. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fair, caring, and fun. There are weekly assignments, however, they are enjoyable and allow lots of creativity. Exams are straight forward. The textbook is necessary for collecting essential terms because he does not post PP's. Class time is never boring; definitely take his classes!

Without a doubt one of the best professors at FIT. His lectures are so riveting & he talks about his own experiences which gives you real insight on the fashion industry. He is a fair teacher, but don't be late or turn anything in late. PD is a hard concept, but he makes it very fun and easy to understand and is always willing to answer questions.

This class subject can be awful, but Professor Blumenthal makes it actually fun! I truly enjoyed his lectures/stories they always kept the class fun and exciting. BUY the workbooks and don't forget them (-10 if you do). There are about three essays to do, but the rest is group work which is actually fun! Take him to actually enjoy team development!

Prof. Bluementhal is great! He made this class really interesting and I really enjoyed his passion for this subject. There are essays almost every week and the exams are specific to the workbooks and lectures. Make sure you go to class, if you miss a class it affects your attendance grade. Also do not forget your workbooks, minus 10 if you do!

I would 100% take a class with Professor Blumenthal again. He was very clear on grading criteria and always made himself available to students. The lectures were informative but also interesting and interactive . He definitely prepares students for the fashion industry and uses real world examples during class.

Midterm and final. 1 partner project that lasts the semester and is broken up into 3 parts, isn't that difficult. Doesn'tpost powepoints so have to take really good notes!

Professor Blumenthal is very focused on helping students prepare for their future in the industry. He gave lots of helpful advice and gave people ideas of what career they would like to pursue. The hw after each class was to read a chapter and take a pre quiz online (all of which were very easy). The two tests given are mostly on vocab and terms.

A challenging but very rewarding class. Exams not particularly hard, but will test your understanding of material. He is meticulous about detailsfollow rubrics/directions thoroughly. You have to be willing to work, but you will always come out of his class learning something new. Prof Blumenthal's love for PD really shines through in his teaching.

He has ton of industry experience. Nike, Vic secret, others. his lectures are so awesome. you will laugh a lot by yourself. As long as he is convinced that you are putting in 100% on all your discussion posts and correct APA citations he will leave you alone. He is a real stickler on APA citation FYI!

I loved Todd! He is probably one of the most well-spoken professor I have ever had. Beware of occasional pop quizzes and pay attention. He does more presentation than presenting lectures, so it's important to keep that in mind. Overall I learned a lot and the projects really helped me learn about product development!

Do yourself a favor and please take his class. He is the best professor that I have ever had. He is passionate about teaching students and really wants us to do well. He doesnt just teach from the book, which is so refreshing and prepares his lectures precisely. He is very particular with his grading, but gives you everything you need to succeed.

I was nervous about taking Prof. Blumenthal's class for Product Development. But, I was wrong, he makes you work for your grade but he is extremely clear in what he wants. There is a project split into three assignments, but if you are creative and interested in it you'll get an A. He is kind, educated, and has experience. take him if you can!!

Great professor! There is a lot of reading to do and lectures in his class, but you will ACTUALLY learn from his class!!! This is an amazing class and he is very passionate about teaching it too! Prof Blumenthal was great and I would deff take him again! Hes super straight forward - if he says something like this is going to be a lot of work, yall listen to him because hes right. He just wants to see effort and that you tried. He responds quickly even on weekends.

Blumenthal is so far one of the best professors I've had at FIT. His classes are well structures and you truly learn a lot about business and how to plan your career path after you graduate. His experiences in companies like Nike, Victoria Secret, and Ralph Lauren are inspiring and interesting when he mentions them in lectures. Take him!

Read the textbook before the class theres a per quiz before classes. During classes, he will call on you to answer questions. If you want to learn things I will recommend you to take his class. He will set students up to work on the final group project.

Professor Blumenthal made virtual classes fun and run smoothly this semester. He puts a lot of time and effort into this course which has helped me learn so much more about product development. This class will be hard work but it will be so worth it! I highly recommend taking this class with him.

I took fashion merch and sustainability with Todd and it was a great course. I am an art and design student so I didn't know if it would be really hard for me to understand but I loved it. We had a guest speaker almost every week. The homework for this class is not too bad. Usually just discussion posts and some other small things.

Every week there is a chapter to read and a quiz along with a discussion post on most weeks. Participation is very important and classes can be lecture heavy. The workload itself is manageable as long as you stay on top of things. Professor Blumenthal is always helpful and gives great feedback.

prof B is the best prof i've ever had. would 10/10 rec to choose his class bc he brings speakers to gain deeper insight on the industry. projects are demanding but you learn so much from them. he explains everything thoroughly and likes for students to mingle w others. big project throughout the semester, divided into 3 sections and quizzes r easy

I took Todd online last semester! There were weekly quizzes from the book, discussion boards that he's nit-picky about, huge group project, a few research assignments. As long as you read his details carefully and pay attention, they can get done. TIMING IS KEY. DO NOT BE LATE ON HIS WORK. He's enthusiastic and sweet. Gotta work for his grade.

Professor Blumenthal actually puts time into designing his online courses. Every week he provides slides that are packed with information, additional resources, and most importantly him explaining the information. This is extremely helpful to comprehending and retaining information from an online course which is rare.

Professor Blumenthal is very skilled and educated in Product Development. I took him for two classes, FM110 and FM204. I think I wouldn't have learned as much with another professor. His assignments really made me grasp the material given in class. He gives very helpful feedback on assignments in order for you to improve. Participation is a must!

Best professor I've had so far at FIT. I took him for FM204 in person & FM206 online. He is incredibly knowledgeable and will help you if you put in effort and meet him halfway. Very responsive. His courses are difficult but super engaging/well organized. His teaching style is what you make of it, if you actually want to learn definitely take him!

You either love or hate Professor Blumenthal. His lectures are amazing and he has the professional experience to back them up. He expects participation and quality work, but I believe if you're paying for a college course, why wouldn't you put your best foot forward? If you're in his class to do the bare minimum then he may not be for you.

While the major assignments for the class are a lot of work there are only 4 for the entire semester making the workload much more doable compared to some other courses. The professor also gives very clear feedback making it easy to do well on assignments.

We were all scared of him when the semester started because he laid out ALL the rules down the first day. He's def strict with attendance. But as the semester went on and we got to know him better, he is VERY NICE! He doesn't put up with BS (walking in late, late hw, brightspace issues).
