Only teaches the lab portion of the class. He should teach the lecture too. Very good good teacher.
Best teacher ever, wish he taught lectures entire semester. Extremely helpful & makes you understand physics. Fun class.
One of my favorite teacher! I had a great time in his class and was sad when it ended.
Great teacher. Learned a lot
Exellent teacher. explains things very well and makes his class exiting. He obviously enjoys what he does and I am exited to take more physics courses with him.
Professor Brei is an amazing teacher who makes coming to class fun. Makes a difficult topic exciting to learn. Homework weekly but is helpful for the tests that are difficult. He will answer all questions and very willing to help.
Had Mr. Brei in high school and now in College and I have definitely learned a lot from his teaching. If you want a fun learning experience in a college physics class be sure to take his class!
Interesting lectures, clear and understandable, tries to incorporate as many demos into his lectures in order to help you better understand the material. Doesn't have office hours, questions can be asked after class or through email. Make sure to do all your homework & READ the book!
Professor Brei was a great teacher! Really helpful and would explain any concept perfectly so anyone understood it. Overall, I just really enjoyed the class! Def take him!!!!!
Prof. Brei is sharp, clear and best of all he makes the subject interesting and enjoyable. I really enjoyed and benefitted from the time spent in his class. If you have the chance, take his courses. Please teach more full physics 4a-4c courses Prof Brei, I would have really enjoyed to take your class for lecture and lab.
Prof. Brei is a rad teacher. I would take a class with him again.
He is a really awesome teacher. Makes an often very dry subject interesting and interactive.
He's a really nice guy who works hard to make such a hard subject fun and exciting. Offers extra credit with the homework but the tests are TOUGH!
I posted my evaluation for Prof. Brei just below this. But, I made a mistake of writting wrong letters for the Class and Section. So, my opinion is the same as what I posted below. =]... Anyway, I'm totally sure he did a terrific job this semester. See you next semester.
Professor Brei is a very competent teacher. He is clear and able to relate abstract concepts to everyday things. All around he is great, energetic and enthusiastic about his subject. Show him your own energy and interest and he gets even better. If you have a genuine interest in physics you cannot get better.
Professor Brei is very accommodating to the needs of students. Anyone can pass his class with an A; however, you do have to put in your own effort as well. His class is a little fast paced for someone with no knowledge of the subject, but Brei is not bothered to re-explain a concept.
Tough tests but really nice and approachable prof. Answers all questions, requires weekly homework, labs have a lot of Excel and one official write-up, others are informal. Picky lab grader, normal HW grader, lenient test grader. 1/2 MC and 5 free response. Lectures are clear & lots of practice problems. Some free response not from HW or lecture.
Very sweet and helpful teacher. Really funny and teaches course in a very interesting manner. My fav class of the semester! His practice tests at the library are what he uses on his exams! Study and you will get an easy A!
I have never taken physics and from other people I heard it was difficult, but Prof. Brie made the class interesting. Test aren't super easy but he prepares you very well. Get to class on time, there are quizzes at the begging... if you study and do the h.w you should be fine!
best teacher ever! Fun, helpful, funny, all around great professor.
if you get a chance, take this class. you will not regret it. mr. brei is the best teacher i have ever had, literally. he's super approachable and has no problem explaining a concept you don't quite understand. he's amazing!
An Ok average teacher.
Professor Brei is the best. I thought the content of Physics 4C was more challenging than 4A or 4B, but Brei's lectures were interesting and well organized, and his tests and quizzes were fair. Very helpful in office hours too. Not an easy class, but taking it with Brei helped.
Don't take this class, especially if you are a science or engineering major. He treats his students like high schoolers and is a nit-picky grader. Take the class with Katherine she is a bit harder, but you will learn. Also, if he thinks you are not interested in his class, he will take it personally and factor that in to your participation grade.
Highly recommend this class! His lectures are very entertaining and interesting. He is willing to help you during office hours, and always takes the time to answer questions. You get one late pass on homework, and test are exactly the same as practice tests! He gives you the essay questions beforehand as well. There is a short quiz every class.
Professor Brei is a great professor. Show up to class, take notes, do all the labs and your reading and you will get an A. The tests can be tricky, but there is enough filler points outside of tests to bump up your grade. Go to his office hours if you're struggling, he will explain it until you understand.
Fantastic Teacher. Very difficult tests, but it's physics.
Dude take this guy. Best professor I've ever had. Best class I've ever taken in all my three years at community college. Thanks Professor B!
I took this class during summer which I don't recommend unless you have to. Physics 4A is a hard class in general but Professor Brei was really helpful. He explained most concepts in examples which was the best. Also we had extra credit in almost everything besides exams. try reading the textbook next to doing the homeworks it'll help too
There's homework most nights and a lot of labs but its all very straightforward and pretty easy. Also every homework has extra credit. Exams are pretty straight forward. He has practice tests for the multiple choice and gives you the free response questions before the test. Great class and a very helpful professor.
This is my favorite professor, only my first semester at saddleback, He is so funny and helpful. The test are easy, a multiple choice and 2 essay questions. You have practice test before every test and if you study that you are good. Lots of homework (easy) but each comes with extra credit, many labs but fun to do. i loved this class (recommend)
Awesome Prof. I wish I can take him again. Only con is that I took an early course so I was a bit tired when in class, however he had great lectures which kept me awake.
I loved Brei's class and I honestly learned so much. His syllabus is so well organized. His lectures are fantastic and very interesting. He has such a great personality and you can tell loves what he does. I will miss this class and I wish I needed more science classes because I would definitely take him again.
Breisenberg, cinco de breio, de briegli's principle. Very picky lab grader. Must draw pictures for every homework problem. Will simplify the most complex ideas in physics into basic calculus and algebra problems. Grade is dependent on tests and finals. Hard to get an A, but hard to fail.
I took all the physics series (4A, 4B, 4C) with him so I clearly think he's a great professor. The subject isn't easy though you need to spend time studying. Class includes homework and quizzes for each chapter. Exams are majority of your grade and they aren't easy. He's funny and helps you if you ask
His lectures were extremely interesting and I feel I learnt a lot from his class. The tests were a bit hard (it's physics) but he has practice tests available in the library that are almost the exact same questions on his test. He also gives a list of ten essay questions before hand and picks two for the exams. If you do the work you'll do fine.
I took professor brei for all my phys series (4a 4b 4c) so I clearly think he's a great professor. I like the way he teaches and I never really felt like I needed to study the textbook to learn the material since his lectures were clear. I did the homework and never skipped the class and studied the notes and got A- for all 3 semesters. take him
Going in to physics and never taking it before i thought it would be extremely hard. Prof. Brei made it very clear. There were quizzes of every chapter, and 4 tests. He gives practice quizzes and tests that are exactly like the quizzes and tests. There is homework on all the chapters and essay questions for the tests as well. good class. just focus
Prof. Brei seems to emphasize conceptual understanding of physics more than numerical problem-solving. Lots of emphasis on knowing how to derive equations. He is very approachable and helpful. Assigns homework, but does not collect for credit. Too many quizzes, and tests are tough, but he curves grades and gives some extra credit.
Prof Brei is awesome. He has really great lectures and is always willing to help out in class or office hours. Definitely would take again.
Very great at teaching the lectures and gives plenty of good examples to help you understand the concepts. He is an extremely tough grader though. I lost 4 out of 10 points on a lab just for forgetting to draw a line on a graph. Also quiz questions require a LOT of critical thinking and preparation. He gives extra credit on the homework though.
Professor Brei is by far the best professor I have ever had. He sincerely cares for his students and their success. After years of teaching you can tell he still has a blast doing it. He teaches difficult material and there is a lot of homework but he provides you with all the materials needed to succeed. If you have the chance to take him DO IT.
Honestly, I thought this class would not be that hard, but it was the hardest thing ever i did. (But its worth it!) If you want to get an A, you have to spend a lot to study homework and his lecture notes. I believe his lecture was amazing, so don't miss the class. I got a B but i am satisfy that I learned so much things from professor brei.
If you have no problem with doing hours upon hours of home work each day just to have him go through it with a fine tooth comb then go ahead and take his class. I cant believe he has so many good ratings, I regret not taking a different teacher
I took Brei because of the reviews on here. I'm a 3.7 GPA Honors Student and I don't slack in any classes. This is was by far the most difficult and worst class I've ever taken. The tests were nothing like any class examples, the homework or the textbook. Homework is over 40 problems per week (leaving little time to study). Do not waste your time.
I cant believe i didnt drop this class, his lecture is based on the examples that are already explained in the book, he brings nothing new to the table. His home work is a complete joke, he assigns too many questions for homework which takes hours every night At the end I dont care what I wrote down or why. His test are not fair at all, super tough
I'm not sure why Professor Brei has gotten bad reviews lately. I took 4A with Brei last summer (8 week course) and I'm taking his 4B right now. Practice and dedication will get you an A in the class and a deep appreciation of physics. It is absolutely not an easy course but Brei is a master teacher who makes physics interesting and relatable.
Im taking Brei for Sping 2017 and its a seriously hard class. I spend around 8 hrs a week doing HW and 2 hours doing labs, though hes been allowing in class labs instead of take home the last 3 weeks. its a ton of work and the tests are hard (half the class fails them) but he does curve the tests and the course. I learned mostly from the book.
Ive always had great physics prof's until I had his class. Even though his lectures lack structure, it is possible to still learn from them. He assigns so much homework its unbelievable. Its test are close to impossible and over 50% will get less than 40%. The only people who get A's are the people taking physics for a second time.
Brei is the best physics professor I've had. Yes, his tests are tough but he curves fairly and provides enough notes/handouts to study. You can use a 3x5 notecard for every test so it's not impossible to do well. Most importantly, he's always there to help you succeed; he has office hours 4 times a week and an embedded tutor who's like mini-Brei.
I hated this class, he lets you use. 3x5 card for tests but that means absolutely nothing unless you write down the correct formulas. He does have a embedded tutor however he is told to not help with the actual problems, he's only there to answer small questions. He's useless
Took Professor Brei for E&M Spring 2017. Saddleback has some great professors, but Brei is the icing on the cake. His lectures are always interesting, and he is excellent at communicating difficult concepts. He holds frequent office hours and makes himself accessible to students. Wish I took him for A, C and could transfer him to my 4-year with me.
Prof. Brei is truly an amazing teacher and supplies you with a lot of resources to succeed. He really makes his lectures interesting and you can tell he knows his stuff extremely well. Go to his office hours and be sure to do all the extra practice in the drive. Those AP problems are most like the tests. Heavy on concepts. Take Brei!
Mr. Brei is so amazing!! He's the type of teacher who can shift the direction of your entire life by helping you, if you let him. I was one of Mr. Brei's students and he definitely played a part in me getting into UCLA! He's hilarious and genuinely cares for your success. I miss his funny stories
Great teacher! I loved learning under him and cannot wait until I am able to take his other courses.
Best physics teacher ever. The demos alone are worth showing up for. (What other teacher has bowling balls hanging from the ceiling of their classroom?) Brei made me love physics. I'm a mechanical engineering major now, and I've never had a physics teacher come close to Brie. Take this class. Please, for your own sake.
I regret taking the class with him. Too much hw and really hard grader on lab reports. Its impossible to get A or B in his tests, that's why he has a bell curve for his class which means only 3-4 people get A, 4-5 people get B's and rest of the class will have C at the end. Also on syllabus 85% is A, but he will move it up depending on your class.
tests are extremely difficult and notes are very poor. If you really care about school and your GPA, don't take this class.
Everyone says that Dixon is the worst physics teacher, but honestly, Brie is the wost. Test are incredibly hard and no one can pass his test, therefore he has the bell curve which is not fair for a physics class. Also, he assigns lots of hw and none of his test problems is similar to hw or the problems he does in class.
Worst physics teacher Ive taken in my life. He assigns way too much homework so that you wont have the time to study. Exams are really hard and nothing similar to the hw.
He is A tough grader. It is almost impossible to get As on lab reports, and also he doesnt really give any partial credits on tests. His exams are so hard so only like 3 people get As.
worst physics professor I have ever had in my entire life. He made me hate physics. Dont take this class
I took this class and now I really regret it. First of all, there is tons of homework which leaves you NO time to study. Second, the exams are absolutely difficult and is not similar to any class activities or homework. taking other classes with this class is suicide.
Although his class was interesting, but the exams were not fair at all. In other words, you knida do learn physics but its almost impossible to get good grades. the lab reports are hardcore. he is a nice guy tho.
This class ended up being my favorite class during my time at Saddleback. Brei is an amazing professor and does a great job of showing you why things work rather than just telling you. He intros every concept with a demonstration and then goes into the physics. My tip is just study hard and know how to derive formulas rather than just memorizing.
Took all physics classes w/ Brei. Always available to help. Chill attitude relieves stress. Curves all tests & uses his own grading system; A100%-85%. Do homework wellunderstand materialA. His classeseasy A for me. Explains everything in terms of how it relates to real life & keeps it simple. Listen to lectures & don't overcomplicate concepts.
Overall amazing professor. Super interesting and fun lectures, and you really learn a lot. He is interesting, funny, and takes a pretty laid back approach to lectures. Labs aren't super difficult, and he is always ready to help. Exams were hard, but not impossible if you study/put in the work. Super kind guy who is always prepared to help. Amazing
Great professor. His lectures are incredible and he has shifted my focus toward physics. His class has a lot of extra credit opportunities (test corrections) and he grades on a big curve. Getting an A is definitely manageable but more importantly he makes physics so interesting that it becomes understandable. Study AP exam problems before tests!
Professor Brei was certainly one of the best professors that I have had at Saddleback. He makes the lectures interesting by including lots of physical examples as well as stories, which really helps in understanding the concepts. My advice is to participate in the class lectures by asking questions and do your homework.
I've never taken a physics class before but Professor Brei made it so easy to understand. I was so freaking nervous my first day, and both of the people sitting next to me dropped within the first week, but I wound up learning SO MUCH. Honestly it's so worth doing the work and coming to class bc physics has NEVER been easy or fun, until now!
Pretty basic class if you know how to handle your time. Most of the answers for the HW are online on quizlet, he posts all quizzes online so you can study beforehand, even the test questions get posted before exam day, and he explains essay questions in class during his lectures so make sure to attend class and pay attention .
Intelligent, personable, engaging, everything you could want in a professor. I heard his class was hard going in, and dont get me wrong, it was. But if you put in the work, youll definitely get an A. He made me love Physics again. 10000/10
Brei is one of the best professors at Saddleback and definitely best Physics professor. Yes, his exams can be tough but he has office hours frequently. He's very approachable and is excellent at answering any questions you may have. Physics is a tough subject and Brei definitely does a great job at making abstract concepts more concrete
Took this class as a requirement and expected it to be fun because I thoroughly enjoy physics. This guy sucked all the fun out of the subject. If you have places to be before or after class expect to be late because he lectures for the full time. He never posts grades online (it's week 9 and he has not put anything in since week 2). : disappointed
Professor has an engaging and funny personality, always enjoyed his lectures. He has no problem taking time to answer questions. Yes this isn't an easy class because it's calc based physics. I studied probably four hours a week and still managed a B. Not bad at all. A quiz every class, but he gives you the questions in advance! Highly recommend
Yeah, the class is really hard if you've never taken physics but Professor Brei does his best and is happy to answer questions and is really patient with everyone. If you won't put in at least 10 hours a week for this class you'll have trouble getting an A. Best professor you can get for a class this hard. Also he drops your lowest test grade.
I enjoyed Professor Brei's physic 20 class. Although the material was a bit hard and challenging, Professor Brei made this class a lot of fun. He had interesting demonstrations and lectures. Every class meeting, there was a quiz. Do every practice quiz, test, and extra credit! Most of the quiz and test questions are very similar to exams.
Probably the most time consuming class I have ever taken. Lots of HW and assignments which takes up your whole week limiting your time in other classes. lectures are very time consuming. Doesn't respond to emails regarding help with certain concepts. half of the free response questions on tests are nothing that has been taught or talked about.
Would need to spend 30 hours a week to pass this class. Made me switch majors this is not worth the hassle.
One of the least communicative professors I have ever had. Truly has no clue how to run an online class or use a computer for that matter. Exams are on material which was not taught, and not based on the problems he assigns in lectures or homework. Possible to spend 40 hours a week studying the incorrect material as he refuses to give study guides.
Extremely unclear with his grading or policies. Does not talk in or outside of class about anything grade or policy related. Awful professor for online.
This class this semester has been hell. Randomly changed dates, uploads to google for submission of ungraded assignments, low exam averages. Most of the class has dropped already, and I may too. Feels like the syllabus is rewritten every week. I genuinely cant recommend anyone take this class.
This guy does not bode well with virtual learning. No clear syllabus, random due date changes, sluggish with feedback and grades, and barely knows how to use a computer. He doesn't use Canvas' calendar so be prepared to write dates down manually. Skip Physics until the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour is over.
Semester's not over yet, but here's what I have to say: I have NEVER had to put this much time into a class. Brei has not adapted well to online instruction. Expectations are not clear. Exams are unpredictable (could be fair, could be very tricky). Answers 1 out of 5 emails. Takes weeks to grade stuff. Disorganized. BUT, he has decent lectures.
By no means do I ever expect 50/50 from a professor, but I at least expect the bare minimum, which Brei has continually fallen short of. there is only one office hours zoom session a week. he says you can schedule a one on one zoom with him, but he ignores students emails. if you take him, goodluck teaching yourself physics.
When people began posting complaints here earlier in the semester, it was obvious they just didn't have the discipline to take a challenging class. We are getting ready for finals week and it's kinda sketchy. Feedback on exams is non existent, email responses take up to a week... I like Brei and he knows his stuff. Wish there were more interaction.
No graded homework. 2 Midterms & 1 Final. Don't respond to email. Taking many weeks to grade(which I understand that he has three classes, but TBH it is still too slow). MC Questions are similar to quizzes problems. FR are very hard. No graded quizzes. No feedback for the exam. Give 10/10 for lab if you do corrections. This is a super hard class.
This is without a doubt, the worse experience I've had in any college course. Let alone the worst professor & experience for online.
Doesn't respond to any emails, not just me many other students. No actual teaching just YouTube videos, uploaded majority of lectures late and had the wrong schedule for the class and did not fix until 2 months in. Agreed to meet to go over topics and labs multiple times and dodged my emails, he s the worst teacher I've had.
This is the one of the most hardest class I've taken. You basically need to teach yourself becuase he is not there to help you. He literally ignored most of my emails. He needs to be more passionate about teaching.
At the first lecture, he made a point of stating that he "did not believe in busy work," which is honestly comical. This "professor" gives us nearly 20 hours of work alone in high school level AP problems alongside 5 hours lecture, which he just cut short by an hour to grade two full weeks of class. Irrational, lazy, and made a hard class impossibl
I have had Brei for 4a and 4b-- both online. I'll be honest and say there are a lot of lectures, sometimes it can even seem overwhelming. However, after taking Statics and now taking Dynamics and Mechanics of Materials I am a amazed at how well he prepared me for those courses. I am constantly going back to my notes and referencing his approach.
I had Brei for 4A and 4B during the fall and spring of "online learning". Overall, he got the job done. Lectures were long. Very long. If you know calc, you can figure out what you need and you'll be fine. It is a journey, and as with every journey there are ups and downs. Sometimes with this journey I wish there were more of a trail guide.
Worst experience with an instructor in my life, period. Did not respond to some emails for months, unclear grading and homework policies, changes policies all the time. In general very unresponsive and ignored the class for a large portion of the semester. Ungodly amount of homework for weekly "portfolio," does not match the 5-credit course at all.
Physics 4A online. Yes, a lot of work... to be expected for a difficult subject w/o the benefit of in-person learning. Although the class was challenging, the expectations were clear, and Professor Brei went out of his way to provide a tremendous amount of online lectures. The only students who didn't do well, were those who did not participate.
Pretty tough class, but you can get an A with some effort. Brei will answer any question, so just participate, and youll do fine. Very helpful lectures. You can tell he wants his students to succeed.
Expect a quiz every class, randomly crammed lectures/labs before quizzes/exams, & very difficult free-response problems on exams (props tho, always stumped the class). Tedious work: outside video lectures, HW/AP, and practice quizzes to do prior to each class's quiz. Will require a lot of time out of class to understand the material. Fun demos tho
Assigns way too much hw and grades it very harshly too. Can't show 8th grade algebra work? Get docked down on your hw assignment then even though he assigns like 30 problems a week. 60% of your exam are MCQ he copies and you just need to remember the answers you google on his practice quizzes. Tedious but you can at least pass with a decent grade
Professor Brei requires a lot of work from you, both inside and outside of class. He assigns a lot of homework, daily quizzes that count toward your test score, and his lectures can be very unorganized. You will have to do a lot of self teaching if you want to succeed in his class. Do not take Physics with Brei.
I'm coming back to share that after entering into the final months of my senior year, having taken Brei for 4A and 4B when he taught online in the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, I am very grateful for his teaching style. I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have at the time, but he approaches topics in very intuitive ways, amazing!
You will have to teach yourself for this class. Brei is very nice, but lectures only cover the concepts, not the applications of those concepts. Quizzes and Exams pull (almost) word-for-word from practice quizzes and questions in given Google Drive. Even if you do the homework, you will fail if you don't go over the practice quizzes/ap problems.
Assigns lots of homework and weekly quizzes that can affect your grade by a lot. Takes a long time and sometimes just never responds to your emails, considering the fact that a lot of the emails he gets are hw questions, his response time can definitely use some work.
Be prepared to have lots of hw. lectures did not reflect what was given on hw. Daily graded quizzes and each lecture dragged on. Focused too much on derivation of formulas rather than example problems. Over picky grader on hw and tests. Class average on our final was a 53% if that means anything to ya (normally an A student and i struggled)
Prof. Brei expects students to engage with the class. In my experience he is more than fair, but there is a large work load for the class if you are meticulous about understanding everything you are doing. If you did the HW and quiz questions (released before they were assigned) then the exams were fairly straight forward.
Todd Brei is the goat of physics. He assigns roughly 16 hw questions a week and each question takes 5-15 mins. For labs make sure it fits the formatting he wants or else he will mark you off. I recommend looking at his practice quizzes and AP problems to prepare for his exams. The lectures will be long, but at least he makes them super enjoyable.
Brei is the best professor I have had in physics so far ! he made physics enjoyable. The exams are based on AP problems and quizzes, he would answer all questions. Office hours are really helpful. Looking forward to taking him for Physic4B.
Physics it self but I feel that if you try in his class you should get at least a B. For exams really look at his practice quizzes and AP questions as the exams are fairly similar and sometimes the FRQ questions are the same. Labs are really strict as they are graded out of letter grades meaning one mistake can take from a 100 all the way to a 90.
Hardest class I have taken at saddleback so far. He is a good teacher, but tests are brutal. Tips: Do ALL the posted quizzes, it can be the difference between an A and a B. Watch the lecture videos. Keep all your old tests for final. Do not procrastinate, workload can be heavy. Lots of homework. Do the AP problems, they are mandatory. good luck.
I did not like Brei. He is has a great personality but his teaching style isnt to be desired. There is a lot of homework and none of his exam material are ever covered in lecture. His lectures seem all over the place and labs are confusing. Although he gives a lot of partial credit it was still extremely hard to get a decent grade in the class.
Professor Brei's class is by far the hardest class I've ever taken. I loved his personality, but his lectures were extremely hard to follow and there is barely any material to relate to the frq exams. The mc exam are direct from his ‘quizzes' tab on his google drive, doing good on his mc exam is the difference between a A and B in this class.
Be prepared to put in a lot of work - Brei's class is no joke. Lectures don't always align with assignments, so you'll have to supplement with practice quizzes and the textbook. unstuck study was a lifesaver for test prep. Tough grader, but if you stay on top of it, you can do well.
Really fun professor but has a very spontaneous teaching style (not very structured, very storytelling-based), which could be why many struggle. Office hours are invaluable! Practice the hardest homework problems to prepare for the FRQs. If you took PHYS 2A as an optional prereq, you're golden. 85-100% = A. Got an 89%.
One of the hardest/worst teachers I've ever had. None of the workload makes any sense as his lectures are all over the place. He's not helpful at all & honestly pretty rude; won't respond to your emails so you can't get any help from him if your lost on homework/labs. Very harsh grader too. Be ready to teach yourself Physics if you take his class.
Easy class. Bad teacher. Boring lectures. Work is not graded on correctness but if you did it the way he liked. Homework's brought my grade down but tests made up for it. If you're late for his class 3 times your grade is dropped a full letter and if you miss 3 classes you are dropped with a fail. He is on a power trip.
Brei is a lively professor who appreciates class participation. He cares a lot that students put in effort and show up to class on time. I find him to be a very generous grader and a fun professor to have.
Lectures don't make sense, he jumps from one thing to another with little explanation. Be aware, you're gonna have to learn a lot of the material yourself if you want to succeed. Doesn't seem like he cares much about students, comes off as very rude. He expects you to go over the top with details but doesn't reciprocate. Do NOT recommend his class.
avoid his class at ALL costs
Brei's is the Walter White of physics. I am haunted by the stress that Brei's tests gave me. I probably lost at least 5 years of my life to get this B. Every night when I close my eyes, I can see his face still. Other than that, he a pretty nice guy, tho. If you take Brei, JUST BE WARNED, he is the one who knocks.
Do anything in your power not to take physics with Brei.
Professor Brei is a totally nice and energetic person. That being said, I felt like I learned nothing from his lectures and relied mostly on the textbook. Again, great dude, but his teaching style didn't work for me.
Brei is a great professor. His lectures are engaging and easy to follow. If you have any questions, he is passionate about answering them. Paying attention during lectures and completing AP problems is key to earning a good grade on the FRQ. The MC is based on the quizzes he posted, so it is basically a free point.
