Very willingly to explain to students. Lecture notes need to improve in clarity, but if you go to his class, you will get lots of the materials understood . Assignments were marked hard. Need to have EXTREMELY good English writing skills to get an A on assignment. (TA was terrible, she didn't know how to teach)

Had him Mondays 8-11 for psychopharmacology. Amazing prof, amazing content. HOWEVER, his lectures are long, and the slides do not cover ANYTHING, you need to go to his classes. Weekly quizzes and two assignments will save you because the questions on tests are different (much harder and complicated) from what he had covered in the class.

He's the best! I understand that 8-11 can be long and boring, but he really tries to make it interesting. If you ever miss a lecture, the slides + textbook are more than enough to makeup for it. Marks very fairly on papers, exams (esp short answer) can be a little tricky, but not unfair. Weekly quizzes also fair! He's no nice and approachable :)

The course content was a little unorganized & it was hard to tell what was relevant or not. Girard was very nit-picky when marking, taking marks off for incredibly small/irrelevant things, most of which weren't even in the assignments' instructions.

Professor Girard is one of my top favourite professors I've had. Considerate, accessible, and accommodating to his students' needs. The only complaint I would have is the PowerPoint material is very plain so you HAVE to attend his lectures. Textbook isn't necessary, but it is helpful if you miss something he discusses. Overall, he was wonderful

Professor Girard is kind, approachable and caring. This class is lecture heavy so it is good to do the readings before class so you'll have an easier time understanding the material. Having some background knowledge in biological psychology would help a lot before taking this class.

Overall, amazing professor. Dr. Girard is very kind and is available outside of class to answer inquiries related to lecture content. Prepare to spend lots of time revising notes and doing research to fill in gaps on missing information on the slides. Slides alone are not suffice to prepare for the tests, attendance is highly encouraged.

So sweet and caring and genuinely tries to make sure every students grasps the concepts he teaches. He's clearly such an expert and is very passionate about psychopharmacology, and I truly think I was able to do so well in the class because I had him as a prof

The kindest professor who's extremely well-spoken, will take the time to re-explain concepts if somebody is confused, in-depth replies for emails, 1 midterm, 2 assignments, easy weekly quizzes and a final, taken only from lecture material

This class is very science-based and much of it is just learning about neurotransmitters so if that's not interesting definitely don't take this course. He's a good prof but his slides were often unorganized and attending lectures is mandatory as you won't be able to understand most of the topics by just reading the slides. Tests can be tricky.

Awesome professor. Interesting and engaging lectures. Always willing to answer questions thoroughly. Also very understanding and flexible. As a biomedical science major, the content appeared straightforward and clearly explained. Although I can see how this may be a difficult class for psych majors or others.
