He was a pretty good teacher. He realized that the education system that's in place today is pretty bad. He'll tell you it's a game and you have to know how to play.

Fantastic teacher. Not only did he teach ed-psych, but he gave us all tips on how to survive as a teacher as well. Open to comments and always willing to give input. He's a caring advisor and will go out of his way to help you through the mess known as the CASE office.

Amazing professor. Fantastic integration between theory and practice. Inspirational. Personable. Really knows his field and assumes the best of students. Class is demanding and fun (a lot of writing and he assumes you are ready to dig in and think hard and critically) but the assignments are worthwhile and interesting. Highly recommend.

His lectures were well planned, but his extra input was alittle too personal for the class; he talked too much about certain gender topics that were irrelevant to the class and tests.

This is a big class and Dr. Jennings is a good lecturer and good at fielding questions. He talks alot about theories/ideas but also tries to include his own experiences to make it more real. I like that. If you think you know who this guy is, you are probably wrong and I think he likes to surprise you. His exams are fair.

Very interesting class discussion. Dr. Jennings brings a lot of energy to class. Assignments require a lot of critical thinking and it, you use the library a lot for his assignments. Gives you room to follow your own interests in the assignments.

I think a class with Dr. Jennings is a "must have" for anyone in the credential program. Take him, you won't be sorry. Excellent class. A lot of writing but good assignments (no busy work).

Works very hard to show how theories and ideas translate into what you do in classrooms. He loves to talk about how teachers make decisions and how those decision come from somewhere. Great class. Be prepared for a lot of new vocabulary.

Dr. Jennings is a night club master!! He's HOT! He loves to go out! Oh, he is also very knowledgeable! He makes the class very interesting and very exciting. Work is not that hard if you do your reading. Research paper was not that hard either.

This was the most ineffective class I have attended at the doctorate level - The material was irrelevant to the topic of discussion. His biased views permeated the class. He was confrontational when he did not get his way or when we present another discourse in education. He lacks classroom experience and professionalism.

Amazing class but a lot of work. My classmates who just wanted to jump hoops did not enjoy the class because the demands were great and readings very sophisticated. I think Jennings is very supportive but he makes it very clear that doctoral work is doctoral work. He had high expectations and would respectfully challenge your ideas.

First of all there were no respectful disagreements, the man attacked you if you did not agree with him. This was one of the worst classes in the doctorate program. I didn't want to here about his clubbing or anything of that nature. I wanted to learn about working in a diverse work environment. I did not want to be attacked on a weekly basis.

Very interesting class. Jennings challenged our ideas which I think is appropriate for doctoral work. I think he is respectful and supportive. Be ready for a hard reading list. I like that he shares experiences a real person instead of acting like he is only a professor.

Great class, very knowledgable professor and does a really good job at presenting information. There is a lot of information in this class and the classroom discussions were interesting but I wish there had been even more. If you have a chance, take a class from Jennings.

In this class right now, love it! Really interesting presentations and discussions in the class. Assignments were cool, no busy work (but there is a lot of writing). Jennings is really good at field questions and relating them to the classroom and the stuff we are reading.

Jennings is great. Challenged our ideas if they don't seem to have been thought out. One or two people in the class thought he was too direct but I didn't--he was just straightforward. He was pretty demanding but respectful and supportive. Be prepared for A LOT of reading!

In this class right now, this is one of the best experiences I have had a CSUSB. Jennings is smart, funny, helpful (returns emails really fast), and super organized. Very open to any kind of question in class.

Practical class, offers a lot of insight into ways to help teens and enjoy teaching. Readings are heavy on theory and class discussions give lots of practical advice. Excellent prof, challenging and a bit scary at first but very supportive and funny.

THE best professor I ever had. There is a the of reading that goes into the course but all assignments are pretty easy. Lectures are fun and interesting. This teacher is wonderful, funny, and has wonderful teaching philosophies. This class I would suggest to anyone.

Great class, awesome prof. I really love that he shares his life experiences, both successes and mistakes. Class is very practical but more than just a how to or do this and that. He shows why something makes sense to do and how it relates to other things you are doing in the class. Very inspiring.

Super interesting class. Lectures fun, assignments challenging and useful. Topics are great. Jennings is really supportive of you doing papers on topics you are interested in--so if you like that take this class. If you don't like to write, don't take this class (LOL). Highly recommend.

Great class! I think Jennings is really respectful of students and seems to really love teaching. Alot of energy. Strict on due dates so read the syllabus and make follow the directions for assignments real close. Highly recommend.

Nice guy, very intelligent, easy going class. If you attend and take notes your golden. Very open minded individual that you can learn alot from. Has a recent promotion to head of gender and sexuality dept. (formally Women Studies)...very well deserved. Take him if you can, it is an experience not to be missed.

One of the best teachers on campus! I loved his class and he is very knowledgeable and holds degress in many areas. He does not believe in tests but does have a weekly concept map of the reading which only takes about 10 minutes to do. There is also a lit review at the end.

He is a captivating professor. Definitely knows the material. He is hilarious and makes lectures fun. Grade based on concept maps and a topical literature review, no quizzes, midterms, or finals. He is awesome. Highly recommended!! If you get the change, definitely take his class!

INCREDIBLE! No other word to describe this man. He is very intelligent and caring, not bad on the eyes either. No textbook or tests-- 15 min assignments due every class, roll is taken, and there's a term paper. Even though there were no tests or book I learned more from this class than any other class I've taken at CSUSB. Amazing professor.

He does his best to make sure that the class understands the main concepts discussed in his lectures. He kept my attention during class most of the time and is approachable and helpful. I recommend taking a class of his.

Taught by three professors; Jennings, Garcia, and Sosa. No moral values in this class. Professors didn't use the book they assigned but used scholarly journals tailored to their points of view. Men bashing, promiscuity and pro-abortion not prochoice. Didn't follow through on what they said they would either do either. Not recommended by me.

Skip class and you won't pass... That's guaranteed. He deducts 10 points each time you don't show up to his class. Overall, he is an amazing professor. One of the best of the university.

The fact that he speaks well can easily hide the fact that he is an extremely politically correct, problematic, leftist, liberal professor. Prepare for words like "microaggession" and "privilege." Teaches his personal agenda. Can be very inappropriate. Doesnt feel like a psychology class. Nevertheless the class is interesting and pretty easy.

He is such an awesome professor! If you have no sense of humor and get offended easily, I wouldn't recommend you take him. I always find his class interesting and think he is an amazing man and professor. No midterm, no final, homework is to read and create a concept map and then write a literature review paper. Show up for attendance credit!

Very Nice and funny professor few things in this class is concepts maps if you do those and attend class as well as the literature review paper you will be fine! There are no tests in this class very easy A. This was my second time taking him and I received an A in both courses. Easy laid back class if you do the assignments you will do great!

Dr. Jennings is one of my favorites. He has no filter, which makes his lectures much more enjoyable. Attendance is mandatory and he docks 10 points for every day you miss. There is about 2-5 concept maps due every week and one lit review.

No exams. I repeat no exams. Cant beat that honestly. Other than that attendance is required and homework is due almost every class but its so easy I did it an hour before class.

Todd Jennings was amazing. I love how open he was and aware of white supremacy. He does not believe in extra credit, but you dont need it anyways! Clear grading criteria- concept maps & an essay. Oh and also attendance. Very easy. Just make sure you do them!

He has got to be the most caring professor I've ever had. He wants us to learn the material and understand masculinity instead of test us on something to stress us out and wont learn. He gives homework but that is all. Lectures are mandatory, but you will want to go to his class because its so inspiring. Please take this professor for any class !

Dr Jennings was an outstanding professor who continuously inspired me during the teaching credential program. He did assign lots of reading but I think they were all essential. His lectures always went above and beyond. He really cares about his students

I can't speak on his teaching ability as I dropped the class after attending the first one. However, attendance is mandatory - 10 pts off your grade for every class missed. No extra credit. If you had pre-existing travel plans or a birthday, he said you should have thought about that before making plans in the middle of a semester.

This prof. is amazing and has very clear lectures. This is an in person class but is online for the first month bc of covid. Cameras MUST be on and attendance is mandatory. A few assignments are due each week, they are concept maps. This class seems very easy just attend and do the concept maps. No final or midterm. concept maps and 1 lit. review.

Honestly, his lectures were extremely interesting and he's a great Professor, but he gives a lot of homework. He gives 2 homework assignments and at times up to 3 plus 2 projects. Yea, there are no tests, but I would have preferred a test over the amount of work that was given. Too much reading! not worth it.

Professor Jennings is a really great and passionate professor. You can really tell he cares about teaching for a greater purpose and does his best to expand our educational philosophy in every content area. Not going to lie, he does talk for the full 3 hours straight a lot of days. I wish he would add more classroom discussions opportunities.

I'm so happy that I took this course with Professor Jennings and I'm looking forward to another class with him. He has the best lectures and is so knowledgeable, I instantly feel smarter after attending classes. I would/will definitely recommend him to my fellow students. The class is pretty easy as long as you keep up with the daily assignments.

Professor Jennings was awesome! his classes were so interesting and you could tell he was passionate about his material, he was really easy we just had mini papers (half a page) or concept maps every single week, and there were no quizzes or final exams (just a portfolio). I would take him again if I could.

I can't rate the professors teaching, however, I can warn you that they require you to attend class meetings with camera on and you CANNOT be doing anything, like driving or whatever. If you're not comfortable with that, I don't recommend this class. CLASS IS MANDATORY. You cannot miss, or else I am assuming your grade will suffer heavily.

The course was very informative and interesting. The assignments were easy and fun. However, there are zoom meetings every week. You will not pass if you don't attend them all with your camera on.
