Yeh he has a 12 to 14 page paper but it's like on the notes he talks about and its all personal related. They are broken down into 4 things.. his test are okay a little hard but as long as you do the study guide you'll be fine! *2 THUMBS UP*

The easiest class I have ever taken. He gives you a study guide that tells you everything that is on his tests. My lowest test score was a 98%. I studied maybe 4-5 hours for each test. His office is always open for questions. Very friendly and easy to work with. Anybody who did not receive an A in this course is a moron.

GOOD TEACHER

This professor was awesome, and anyone who is looking for an easy class should not take him... I took this class when I was 6 months pregnant and hardly ever read the book and still got and A. He was funny and I would recommend him to anyone who doesnt mind doing school work... if you cant take this class and pass it then you shouldnt be in school!

I thought Martinez did a great job teaching this class and I really enjoyed learning about psychology. As long as you read your text book, take good notes you should pass this class with no problem. He also hands out study guides for the test which made it easier to know what material you'll need to study for the test.

I love psychology but the room is always humid& nasty. He's the only teacher who puts me in coma state! His tests are easy if you read and follow study guides. He's too nice to lazy students!!!

All of his exams are based on the study guides, and most of the information is from the book with some from the lectures. Only advice I can give: be prompt. A minute and a half late(for example) will still be counted as a tardy which counts as only being there for half the period. Over all his class is fairly easy to pass. I'd recomend him.

Great teacher, very easy, the test is exactly off the study guide, you can sleep during class and just study off the study guide the night before and get an "A". I got a 99% on the final and if you knew me you would know thats amazing. He is very nice and a great teacher

Test are very easy because he hands out study guide. Lectures are boring & he's strict about attendance, he makes you sign in if you're late & sign out if you leave early. The home work are easy but just have to do alot of work.

His reading assignments can be a little hard but you can get through them if you study. Some of the stuff talked about in his lectures is interesting so i recommend you attend class regulary. he's also pretty funny at times.

Class is not difficult if you do some basic studying. 5 tests and 3 essays. You are almost guaranteed to get an A if you do the study guides and search for the answers in the book. The powerpoints will not suffice for all the study guide concepts so you HAVE to look in the book, unless you don't care.

Shows a lot of videos and tells a lot of stories. Does a pretty good job at keeping the class interesting. Study guides for exams are very helpful, although some material that is on the test is not on the study guide.

Mr. Martinez was a great professor if you had question he would answer them if you do the study guide and attend class you will pass the class if you study the study guide and what he say during lecture will be on he exam you will do good. He answers his email in a timely matter even on weekend before a exam.

Super easy! Just show up to class on time and take great lecture notes! The tests are exact with the study guide! He does a great job explaining concepts and giving real life examples. Overall the best teacher I've had so far! I'm currently enrolled in his psychology 5 class and super excited to have him as my professor again!

Dr. Martinez goes through every unit clearly and takes his time to answer questions in class if you have any. He won't have all the answers and he'll be completely honest on that, but for those type of questions you won't see them on the exams. Review the study guides, do the worksheets, and show up and you'll at least get a B in the class.

Don't be intimidated by his 10 page Syllabus, he is a great teacher. Very respectful, if you do your work then there is no doubt that you won't pass. He is lenient with grading, if there are too many students that answered incorrectly on hmwk or exams, he will give credit for those. Gives study guides that help tremendously on exams.

Easy class, just read and actually do the study guide and you'll pass. The study guide is the test. Only 2 Essays to write and offers extra credit. Suggest that you buy the international textbook to save because it's the exact same thing. Lectures do seem kind of long and boring though but it get interesting toward the end of the semester.

Study hard from text book to lecture notes, you will be fine as long you put your time into absorbing the materials. He has a since a humor and put on very amazing videos that correlates to the materials.

Martinez is a good psy2 teacher. He's clear and tells you exactly what's going to be on his test. His study guide highly resembles his test. Do the study guide and study it and you shouldn't get anything lower than a B. He's fair about rules and attendance and gives you a fair warning before taking any actions.

He's an enjoyable professor. Had him for two classes and passed them. His study guides are straightforward, and help a lot if you take the time to know and study the material. One page essays are also involved. Not too difficult, though don't procrastinate on them. Do them early and Martinez is willing to double-check before you turn them in.

Be on time and be present for the lectures, attendance affects your grade. He made lectures interesting and relative to everyday experiences which makes the information very much retainable. As for homework, he gives one worksheet per section and you have 2 weeks to complete it. Tests were really simple, aced every one. Would highly recommend.

Attendance is mandatory. Had a total of 4 worksheets ( homework) you will need the book. A total of 4 tests and 1 Final, he gives you a study guide on what will be on the test. I printed his PowerPoints so I wouldn't spend my time writing them down, and make flash cards of your study guide. He's a Great professor. Good Luck!!! .

Mr. Martinez is very funny and chill. He made this class so much fun. His study guides are exactly what's on the test so make flashcards out of them and you will get an A on every test! He is very knowledgeable about the subject. He is passionate about psychology and teaching it. His lectures were clear and easy to follow. He does not grade assignments himself, instead he has an asssistant. She grades pretty tough and does not give feedback. The class is interesting and as long as you study and do the homework you will pass.

Todd is a good teacher, he teaches off powerpoints but instead of us writing everything he prints them out for us and all we have to do is take notes which makes it easy for us to understand! The exams are exactly the study guides so STUDY!

You'll have to go to class to receive participation points that will go to your final grade at the end of the semester, but he makes his lectures interesting and very relatable. His exams are super easy because everything you need to know is on the study guide. He only gave us two homework assignments this year and he is very lenient with grading.

(can skip the final) 2 essay homework assignments. with the first 4 exams there are written part to the exams. provides powerpoints in class and study guides. Study Guides reflects the material on the exam. Just read the textbook in accordance to what the study guide is asking you to read.

I like his lectures, he has a lot of stories and examples to tell, and hes open to students. He gives handouts (so, you can take notes if you want) and hes very specific about the study guides on what will come out for the exams. However, I dont like the homeworks.

Interesting class and amazing professor. Very knowledgeable on the subject and cares for his students. 2 essays and 5 tests. But the last test you can skip if you already have a good grade because he drops your lowest score. Not a difficult class but he does factor in attendance too so just make sure you attend class and you'll be fine.

Prof. Martinez is so laid back and caring, I would definitely take him again if I could. The only downside is that his lectures go on forever and he has such a soothing voice that I almost fall asleep so be careful for that. Otherwise, there's rarely any homework and if you pay attention you'll pass.

Psy-2 with Professor Martinez is something that I had never experienced before because of how strict class was. Attendance was MANDATORY! If you left to the restroom you would loose participation points for the day. His lectures are not interactive whatsoever, it is very much show up to class and take notes. Cells phones out unexcused absence.

I took Mr. Martinez the Fall'19, and If he did the next Psy class I need, I would be there in a heart heart. Yes, there is a lot of reading. And yes, His lecture is very detail, but he hands out an Outline for the course, which helps out so much. His exam and final is straight ti the point. DO THE STUDY GUIDE, it will help you out so much. Loved it

I absolutely love Mr. Martinez! Highly recommend taking this class for fun or if you are a psych major like me. He is down to earth, clearly explains all the material, has some good stories to tell, and is empathetic towards other peoples' inconveniences. He is strict with the attendance, but it is crucial to be there to learn the material.

Great professor! Definitely not an easy one so dont expect to pass without putting in work, when you study and pay attention in class its easy. My favorite psych teacher so far, he makes everything very clear and has a good sense of humor. Purchasing the textbook helps a lot and he prints the powerpoints out for everyone so thats a plus.

Todd was awesome & understanding of attendance through Covid. This online we did not need to attend an we would participate every week on a discussion to record our attendance. I took his Psy2 and it was pretty straightforward/easy. I used the book only for study guides so you do need it but aside from that its mostly discussion boards and your main exams.

He is a great teacher, he provides you with printed copy of the slides on his lectures as well as a study guide. He does well at explaining the lectures and sends reminders of any quizzes, exams or assignments that may be due which is very helpful. He does his best in making things easier to learn and genuinely wants us to succeed.

He is an amazing professor in my opinion. It is definitely an easy class to pass. He prints out a packet of the powerpoints he goes over during lecture for you as well as study guides. 10/10 in terms of exams, his study guides will have you passing with 100% or more as long as you know all the information on it. The class is very easy, and the exams aren't difficult at all as he provides study guides. He also lets you know vital information to get down for them. He doesn't use the textbook during class, but you'll need it for the exams, all the answers are there. His class is just lecture heavy and he doesn't engage with students, we just listen.

Professor Martinez is such a fantastic professor. He made this course easier for me because he gave study guides and even printed out the slides to allow us to take notes. Clear syllabus and grading scale!! He gives you 5 exams and 5 assignments, nothing more, nothing less. He drops your lowest scored exam and your lowest scored assignment so if you do good on the first 4 you won't even need to worry about the final exam or the last assignment, which is great so you get to focus on your other class' finals!

One of my favorites and it's not even close. Martinez makes it a point to go over each point in his lecture and gives mnemonics on how to remeber them. Attendance is required in order to get a good grade at the end of the semester.
