Very easy prof. Makes the labs really easy and you only have to do one lab report and it isn't hard at all. All the girls think he is cute so have fun girls. Take this prof!!

Todd is a great guy, more interested in understanding lab than lab assignments. Workload was really light, but when we have to turn in graphs he's very strict about titles haha. Anyway, hes a great guy and knows what he's doing. Great teacher.

TAKE HIM!! Incredibly easy. if he thinks the class isn't clear on something he'll just give everybody extra credit for whatever everyone missed. if you ask for any help he'll gladly give it to you. very cool guy. probably the easiest lab teacher too.

If you want a prof that's ultra helpful and not bad on the eyes either =)...take him! He's awesome. He'll help you in anyway possible and he puts a different spin on lab than the other boring profs do.

easy A. He's a little boring and all of your lecture notes come verbatim from the text...but at least he's nice to look at.

He is a really great teacher, always explains everything, and if he doesnt you can always ask him. he is fair on grading graphs and other work. i would recommend taking him for lab!!!!

What more can you ask for? He's relatively easy (quizzes can be tricky at times though), nice, helpful, very laid back, funny, and GORGEOUS. Definitely get him for lab.

Good guy, quizzes are tricky but points can be made up. He's a good guy to take with or without bio knowledge.

Decent lab prof, but the quizzes weren't fun. He made lab procedure very quick so we got out early almost every lab.

Good Teacher! A pretty easy class if you attend regularly and take notes. Mostly slideshows, but very informative. He is also very helpful, and willing to answer questions on his own time.

I really loved this teacher-slideshows for notes/lecture, easy assignments and very few. Really nice guy plus he's very cute-made biology a class I looked forward to all the time! :)

Don't waste your time with any other bio prof. His tests are exactly on what his class is on, don't bother buying the book, you don't need it. He has four exams and the final is questions Exactly from your other exams and a few added. I heard stories of how bad other profs were in this class so if you want an A, take him.

You feel like your just hanging out talking about the envirnment on your own time with your friends, but you learn a lot and don't realize till your tested.

Professor Tiano is probably one of the more understanding profs I have taken. He is very helpful and works with students who are struggling n the course. He has 3 main exams and the second on genetics is the most difficult. The final is comprised of previously used questions from the other exams and a few new ones. TAKE THIS GUY! You wont regret it

prof. tiano is awesome! he's very willing to help you with anything you need, even if it is help with a different class. he's very approachable and his priority is to make his students as comfortable as possible. he's easy to understand and makes the material interesting and easy to relate to. take him! you won't regret it!

He was an impressive teacher. He stayed on subject while making it interesting and as a stats major that is saying something. He graded things quickly and put them on BB. His class pretty much just consists of notes and exams and an A is definitely possible.

Tiano was pretty awesome for Bio. He's an easy prof, book isn't really required, and he's nice to look at. I had him for lecture, but I'm sure he'd be even better for lab.

AWESOME! He made the material EASY and interesting. I never used the textbook, everything on the tests came from our notes. He jokes and does his best to make the class useful. Little study time and good notetaking lead me to a B+ in the class, and a 97% on the final exam!I really reccomend T.Tiano, and I would take him again if get the chance!!

very nice guy, he understands that the class is not your first priority, willing to work with you on anything you want. makes lectures fun, I have it at 830 am and i dont even fall asleep, jokes around, all around great guy. Take him, you wont regret it =]

He is very intelligent in biology. He lectures the whole hour and jokes around to make it fun. I wouldnt recommend missing this class because then you miss the notes. I love todd hes great.

Todd is a very good prof. He is funny and easy on the eyes. He is smart and knows what he is talking about and is willing to help you if you need it. I have only used the textbook a couple times and if you miss class you can just email the class and someone can send you notes. I would recommend Todd for sure!

If u find an opening in his class and u dont take it, then u are completely nuts. You won't get a better, easier prof than todd. SIGN UP!!!!!

Definitely made a boring Bio class worth going to. It was an 8:30 am class and his jokes and high spirit made people want to be there. Not much need for the textbook, he makes power points for everything. Get him if you can!

Tiano makes the class enjoyable and interesting. His tests are alright, and the assignments are easy. I did not mind having this at 8:30am because he makes it fun. Tells stories and jokes. Flexible, helpful, energetic teacher. You should take him if you want to enjoy BIO.

Todd Tiano is awesome. He make learning biology so fun. I got a B- in the class but thats because I was never good at biology and his test are a little are. His final was cumulative so that kind of added on to my B-. He will make you laugh every class period and make you want to go to his class every time. I would definitely take his class again!

He is a great Prof! He explains everything before tests and gives a study guide that has all the test questions on it. I never opened the book since his notes are all that you need. He never moved on until he was sure that he covered everything. Also very funny

Good professor. I understand so much more about biology because of him. A few homework assignments, but nothing too hard. The tests aren't bad, but study your notes. He doesn't take attendance, but go anyway for the sake of the notes. The lecture and lab run together. It helps.

By far my favorite teacher yet. He is one of us, without trying to be. Very helpful, wants the class to do well. He gives out homework only to help your grades, and does not use the textbook at all really. Take this professor, you will NOT regret it.

dont buy the text book, it isnt needed. todd is just one of the guys, an athlete, laid back, chill dude who gives easy tests and quizzes. easiest bio class you could ask for, even tho the subject matter is difficult. This is the bio class you want!!!!!!!!

Best biology teacher, he really loves teaching it. He makes lectures interesting and is so funny when he goes off on tangents. If you attend class and pay attention with a little bit of studying a good grade is easy to get.

I had very little interest in Biology coming into the class, but he made it a lot of fun. The class is really fun, and the activities are really interesting and helpful. Don't buy the book, you never use it. The tests are good, but make sure you study. He gives amazing study guides. Take it with him if you can!! Easy clas and lots of fun!

What a nice man! He is even keel--always in a pleasant mood. Watch out for the final exam, however. It was harder than the tests. He is so easy on the eyes! I really didn't like Biology until his class.

Todd is one of the best Profs I have ever had. He is always available in office hours, he is hilarious and makes learning the materials fun. He explains the material very well and skips the unnecessary stuff, he gives study guides and extra credit. Very fair and dedicated.

He is a fun professor during class, and he explains things pretty well. His tests are fairly difficult, however, and you really have to pay attention in class and take very good notes if you want to get an A. He seems to know what's up among college students, so he lets us out early on Friday, gives some extra credit, and doesn't give hw over break

Todd is personable anf fair. He gives you every opportunity to succeed, but it is most definitely up to you to study the vast information. Tests are based on powerpoint presentations during lecture and class notes, so it is highly recommended you attend. (Use book for clarifying points you did not understand or reading further in depth.)

First, ladies. he's GOOD LOOKING! second, he is really young so he relates to us very well. always asks us how our day is going. goes on tangents a lot and the test material is kinda vague what we are supposed to study. but he is a greattt professor! take him, i told all my friends too! favorite professor this semester!

Very knowledgeable professor. Slows down and answers any questions you have. He uses Powerpoints every day and puts them online so you can easily follow along. Exam reviews are also online which can be filled out for extra credit. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it helps your grade- He puts in extra credit for it which really helps your grade.

HILARIOUS GUY! He likes to make alot of jokes and tell alot of stories inbetween dry material to make things more intersting. The material was straight forward, the exams were kinda tricky, but by far the best BIO 120 Teacher at GVSU!

I'm not so much into biology, but for a gen-ed it was a good class. He is clear and does not give us but one assignment all year where you get to research a dumb environmental law. Very fair in dealing with the global warming debate. All the grade is in three tests and an exam which is multiple choice. However, the tests are moderately hard.

He is a cool guy, very funny, and this makes the class a little more interesting. The class isn't too difficult, but it isn't a piece of cake either. Overall, I would suggest him for a teacher.

Todd has to be one of the best professors I've ever had in my life. He's challenging but as long as you study the notes he gives you'll pass. Todd is one of the few profs that isn't lying when he says he will only test you on what's covered in class. I hated BIO before this but he makes it fun and interesting.. If possible, TAKE HIM. Todd is the coolest prof ever! I had him for chem 115 lab and it was always a blast. We would spend the whole lab joking around and talking football, but he would also be very helpful with the lab if you needed it. Highly reccomended

He was helpful but sometimes doesn't grade fairly enough, but he is cool and funny sometimes.

He does lecture heavy but if you miss a class he posts all the slideshows on blackboard so its easy to catch up. He gives a lot of extra credit so take advantage. You dont do a lot of class work so your grade depends mostly on your tests.

I wish I had Prof. Tiano for all of my science classes. He made it easy to understand and labs were always difficult for me. He is super real and easy going so its comfortable when you're in class. If you show up to lab and are respectful this class will be way more of a breeze than you think.
