To be successful in this class, please do not wait until the last minute to study for an exam. Work with one chapter at a time in 30 minute increments. Mr Tolar made class interesting with personal stories. This must be a tough class to teach, it was tough to learn the material! I would take him again if my schedule permitted. As long as you prepare for Mr. Tolar's class by reading assignments, and looking over your notes you will do well in his class. If you have any questions at all he is always helpful, and available to help his students. I will take him again for A&P 202.

Mr. Tolar's class is very detailed. You must study atleast an hour or more a day in order to pick up the concept of A&P. HE is very detailed in his slides and examples;however, labs in my opinion on not hands on. I feel I did better in Biology with labs being mandatory in class with quizzes writing out the answers.I was able to grasp the concept

I love Mr. Tolar! The only advice that I can offer to future students is to read your chapters, complete your objectives and ask questions if you don't understand. Mr. Tolar is laid back, easy to get along with and uses great examples to help you understand concepts.

Tolar made Biology easy and fun to learn. Any student that disagrees or did not do exceptional in Tolar's class was a lack of preparation on their part.

Mr. Tolar was fantastic. Loved his class so much that I’m going to take him as much as possible during my time at Wallace. The best lectures I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of. I actually started to become genuinely interested in Anatomy after taking his class.

I took Mr. Tolar for A&P 1 in a hybrid format. Very knowledgeable and it is obvious he loves what he does. The class does require a lot of studying if you want a good grade, but Mr. Tolar will do EVERYTHING he can for you besides actually take the test. Probably the best teacher I've ever had, period. Tollar is not your ordinary instructor. He doesn't sugar coat anything and his teaching style is simple, straight forward, and blunt. I loved every min of his class! I hate when instructors get too technical, and Mr Tollar just put the information out there as straight forward and comprehensible as possible.

I took his Bio 202 hybrid class. During class time you will only go over labs so you need to make time during week to watch videos. If you watch videos you will do great!

AP II is the hardest class I have had this year and Im taking nursing courses with it. I wish I could have taken this class prior to nursing so I could put all my effort into it. But Mr. Tolar is a great teacher and has a good sense of humor.

He is willing to help when you ask and he prefers that the class participates and asks questions during lectures. He gives detailed instructions for his labs, quizzes, and tests. The tests come straight from his lecture notes.

He helped me figure out some career confusion and always was willing to clear up any confusion I had about the material. here is the run down on Tolar. He is super funny very easy to work with he allows make up and gives bonus points on the exams. He has chapter quizzes that help a lot. If you want to pass the tests answer the questions from his quick checks.

As long as you show up to class, take your chapter quizzes, and review your notes theres no reason for you not to do well.

Mr. Tolar is the perfect instructor for microbiology. He gives you everything you need to know for the test. If you do the objectives he gives you and ask questions, you will do good on the test. Make sure you are at class every meeting to be able to understand the lecture and lab. Also using quizlet is good for studying for the unit test.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this professor. I would suggest better advising for students unfamiliar with a hybrid course. The professor had to spend a good portion of lab time reviewing lecture for struggling students that should have been completed out of the classroom.

My major is really Registered Clinical Dietitian. Mr. Todd Tolar is an Awesome Biology: A & P 1 Professor who really cares and I love his amazing lectures because he uses everyday life experiences to help the class remember structure and function. Mr. Tolar is a very good teacher. He genuinely cares about his students & does everything he can to help his students pass his class with an A. He makes learning the content easy by comparing it to real life situations. Taking a H class helps to learn the labs in depth. He makes sure he is available for help & also helps you to understand lecture.

Don't miss class! The labs that are completed are VERY important! I would recommend reading (or @ least skimming) the material prior to class. Many complete the objectives prior, but I think its unnecessary. If you complete the notes prior to lecture, then you're set. Also a good way to study would be to rewrite the notes out. Take the Hybrid!

Mr. Tolar was definitely an amazing professor for BIO220. His lectures are not boring and he has a great sense of humor. If you want a professor that doesn't put you to sleep. Well then he is the professor yo want to take. His quizzes are easy to take. Exams are taken on a computer so it's much easier than paper exams. I would take his class again.

Mr. Tolar's class is completely doable but you have to put the effort into. Lectures are clear and if there are any questions you will get them answered. Test are multiple choice but once again you have to put the time and effort in to preparing yourself. Lab portion is to the point.

Tolar is unique and tends to get on tangents that are usually funny and always related to the power point lectures. Attend class, listen, and let him help you if need be bc he wants everyone to pass (and there's no reason anyone shouldn't)

There were times when I was overwhelmed with work, school, and home life, but he listened and kept me encouraged. He will forever be my FAVORITE teacher. I have taken him for all 3 sciences!!

I did not like biology in high school, but Mr. Tolar made me really enjoy it. He does put up videos so if you don't want to read the book, you can watch the online videos. He cares about everyone in class. he tries his best to make everyone get an "A" in the class. He is funny and gives stories from his life to help you remember all the material.

In order to pass anatomy 2 with Mr. Tolar you have to have a good time management schedule set up, if not lab and lecture will eat you alive. Mr. Tolar is a great teacher and I would recommend any one going into medical programs to sign up for his class.

He gives CH Objectives and Lecture notes that go along with the Lecture videos. Lab videos helped explain the lab items. This was an internet class, so the discussion boards and CH/Lab Quizzes were our daily grades. He is there to help and explain concepts. Highly recommended!

The course was tough in the short summer timeline, but Mr. Tolar made up for that! His lectures were broken down by chapter and then by subject so they were easy to digest. I believe that the labs are very interesting, and presented well by the instructor and the printouts provided by him on Blackboard. I also think that the powerpoint presentations were extremely helpful, and the notes to go along were perfectly arranged to highlight the information needed.

I graduated college years ago. This was my first time returning to the college environment. I had a huge adjustment in the first, but it has been a positive experience. He took time with me and my classmates in class and outside class during office hours and emailed to help us. He was prompt to answer any questions and made the course interesting.

Guys this class is not for the weak if you are taking it during mini mester. Make you study Unit 2 extra hard. After unit 3 you should be good. But definitely do not procrastinate. I would say Mr. Tolar is an amazing professor, he works with you and try to make sure you succeed.
