Professor Banker is an AWESOME teacher! She is active and exciting and kind of goofy. She knows her stuff. If you follow her syllabus you will get an easy A!

Banker is great! She is great about getting back in touch with you if you have a question. I emailed her once and she got back to me in 30 min or less! I think she is also the librarian at Southshore.

This professor is very good. She only tests over what she lectures and she provides useful study secessions!

I took this class online and I really enjoyed it. She gets back to you very quickly if you email her with any concerns. She grades very fairly and really knows her stuff. I would recommend this class to anyone.

I loved her! I got a C in her class, but that was strictly my fault because I slacked and decided not to turn in an assignment. You don't have many assignments to do at all and she's willing to help anyone! And she doesn't grade too harshly.

Great teacher, tons of knowledge the quizzes are somewhat difficult as it's up to chance if you know the one is picked, and the Tests MID-term and final are ALL ESSAY questions and two full page essays at least 2 pages, pretty difficult. Great information, and you really have to earn an A in other categories other than the class to pass with an A.

Condescending from the beginning. Lots of busy work type homework. Tests are multiple choice, exams consist of only 5 essay questions. 3 'short' response, 2 extended response. You can answer the questions clearly in just a few sentences, but she requires much more than that. Overall the course felt like it was burying the info in a bunch of filler.

Professor Banker is awesome although I took her class online. She gets back to you quickly when emailing and always answers every single little question/concern clearly. Each week was just a quiz and discussion post. 1 Journal entry, midterm & final. Doesn't take long and is fairly easy if you just take the time to do the work. Take her for AMH!!!

Took Course Online. 1 discussion 1 quiz each week. Quiz is easy if you do your research to find the answers ;) I did not purchase the book which required me to do research. 1 midterm &1 final both consist of short answers & essay. 5?s all together. If you complete your discuss most of the answers are there. Short A are easy. 2 attempts for exams.

Such a great professor who actually wants to see you do well in the class. Gives great study sessions before midterms/ finals. Overall, she's really there to help her students.

Take this class it's amazing. One thing i should warn you about is citing (if you have problems with that). But she can teach you if you just ask for help. One thing I really liked about her is that she replies to your messages fast, don't be afraid to ask questions.

She gives out study guides before the midterm/final which makes it really easy to do well. She graded my 5 page paper the day i submitted it and responded to all of my emails the day of. Lot's of note taking which i didn't mind.

She is specific about citing but will answer any question you have. At one point I emailed her everyday around Easter and she still responded quickly. You have to work for your grade but if you do, it's very possible to do well. You can take quizzes as many times as you'd like. Make sure you thoroughly read the requirements before submitting.

Prof. Banker is AMAZING! She is always accessible. She responds to emails sometime with in minutes. She grades our papers with in 24 hours even though she jokingly says it will be longer. Her one paper is not a research paper but she allows you to be creative! If you follow directions and turn in assignments by due date you will get an A!

This teacher is so cool. Her lectures are seriously entertaining!!! Her tests are hard but she provides study sessions which really help. She also is quick on the email. I mailed her on day not expecting a response for at least 24 hours and got on back in 24 minutes!!! She also is a quick grader. Seriously quick. Same day fast.

She responds and grades quickly. Detailed notes on grading to help you understand what you did wrong and how to correct. Offers a ton of help.

Professor Banker was one of the best professors I've ever had. You will pass with a good grade if you pay attention to the lectures, study the study guide, and show up to class.

I love how Professor Banker instills a love for authentic history! Taking her classes gives you access to the most awesome historical databases for research which is good because her assignments rely heavily on a solid bibliography. I took the 6-week and I had a bio paper, mid term, final and a quiz per week. Read the power points!

This professor is better than great! She was the best person to get my day started with because she has a passion for history that shows through in her lecture. 2 quizzes a week (usually), 1 paper, 2 exams that are easy.

she works with you if you need to miss, and although she gives you a one question pop quiz every class you wont fail if you miss a few times. they are a very small amount of your grade

Prof. Banker is tough & her class is a lot of work. Exams are essay based. However, I signed up to take her for both AMH 2010 & 2020... and I will take her for any other course she teaches it. Why you ask? Because I learned a lot. Also, most her essays come straight from her Powerpoints. Her rubrics are clear. With work, an A is very attainable.

Prof. Banker is AMAZING!! The thing I loved best was that she always answered my emails almost instantaneously. That i so hard to find with an online class. Her class is well organized and her tests are soooooo easy as long as you read the powerpoints. She gives you three hours to complete them AND you get multiple attempts! How cool is that!

I was told this class was a requirement. I was dreading it. I HATE history. But Prof. Banker made it easy. She was always there to answer questions. If you follow directions you will get an A!!! I cant say I love history now but at least I dont hate it anymore. TAKE HER CLASS! you wont regret it.

Her tests are so DANG easy! Five questions in three hours. Multiple attempts. Same questions for both. And OPEN BOOK. She also literally GIVES you the answer if you know where to look. PLUS extra credit IS OFFERED. Im not sure how anyone could fail this class.

Prof. B is so cool. i was having a really hard semester. she really worked with me to make sure i made it. she always answered my emails sooooo quickly. she was so positive and helpful. she was even nice enough to extend a due date or few as long as I contacted her before the assignment was due. if i could i would take this class again.

Its harder to fail this class than it is to pass it! Easy A plus plenty of easy extra credit. Proff Banker lays out the foundation to the class from the beginning so you know what is expected of you which gives you the option to work ahead. You would be crazy not to take her class.

I was nervous at first about this class but it honestly isnt too bad. The only thing that is a little iffy is the midterm and final because it consists of 5 written answers but honestly, if you just read the powerpoints its not that bad. I passed the class with a 100 so if you just do what your told, youll do just fine; not a tough grader either

Banker is the bees knees when it comes to history and boy do I hate history. His class is straightforward, easy to follow, and I loved her powerpoints. They were hilarious!!!! Take this class. You wont regret it!!

Did the 8 week online option for this class. And even with it being 8 weeks and online, course load wasn't that much. Main assignments were the research paper, midterm and final. If you don't do well on one of them just ask her why and you'll do better on the next. Just make sure you cite everything, do the extra credit and you'll get an easy A.

Took 2010 in an 8-week online, and was extremely nervous after reading Professor Banker's course syllabus. Her expectations are high! Stay on task with deadline dates, read all course presentations and submit all assignments on time. Don't hesitate to ask her about your progress. If you email, she will respond immediately!

This professor is so awesome! I personally hate history but she set this course up in a way where you truly feel engaged in the content. Inquizitives are due each week, but getting a 100% is super easy since theres no question/time limit. Exams are 3 short answers and 2 essay questions but she gives you an outline for each. MULTIPLE EXTRA CREDITS!

I LOVED Dr. B's class. I have taken both of her 6weeks online summer courses and LOVED LOVED LOVED them. Whats not to love? She answers emails in minutes, clearly outlines her expectations, and provides all of her test answers in her powerpoints. And here paper was super cool! I could write it as a fictional interview.

Ms. Banker is such a cool instructor. Her lectures are funny. Her class is set up in such a way that you only have assignments due once a week. None of this replying multiple times to your fellow classmates. I work two full time jobs and her flexibility made my life so much easier.

I have never liked history much, but her class really changed that for me. I learned so much & actually enjoyed completing the assignments. She is great. Take her class.

Overall this class wasnt bad at all. I normally hate history classes, however, she made it very easy to pass with weekly quizzes and clear rubrics for all of her projects. Her quizzes have the page number of the textbook where the answer is, and just make sure to use the rubric as youre writing your major assignments. Be prepared for the final!!

This summer was crazy with all of the COVID. Prof. B was amazing. She worked with me to ensure my illness didn't impact my grade. SHe extended due dates. She emailed me positive supportive emails. I wish all my professors where this great!

I have NO clue what these people mean by difficult! I HATE history and I passed this course with flying colors. Her tests are open book. How easy can she make it? Even though she said she didn't accept late papers she was understanding when I had a family emergency and accepted my late paper which SAVED my GRADE! BEST TEACHER EVER. TAKE HER CLASS!

I just took her 8wk class. i did not want to take this course but had to. Banker made this class so easy. She responds to any and all questions, regardless of how stupid I felt asking them. She is positive! Never said I was going to fail. She made me believe in myself. I still dont like history. I do like her though!

I fail ill in the middle of Prof. Bs 8 wk course. I thought I was going to fail. Dr. Barker was SO cool. She extended the assignment due dates, she met with me on Teams for one on one instruction. She is a history NERD for sure! She made sure I passed. Her class is CRAZY awesome. Cant go wrong with this class.

I love history and thought I knew everything. Prof. Banker surprisingly added to what I already knew. Her attention to fun facts well just makes the class FUN! Also so much extra credit! Professor Banker is really an excellent teacher; it is obvious that she genuinely cares about teaching and that she is truly passionate about the subject. She offers numerous simple extra-credit opportunities, follows rubrics, and never tries to overwhelm or trick you. If you are doing the reading and assignments, you will pass. 100% recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed her class online. I was nervous when I saw I had a lot of work to complete due to picking a shorter semester, but it was very informative and enjoyable. She also provided her own notes which were very detailed and informative. All the answers to the quiz were found in HER chapter notes.

If youre a lazy student then you wont like Professor Banker. You have to actually put in work, but it is not hard work. I really enjoyed her class and she is a fair grader! I aced everything except one paper because I did a citation wrong so I got a low A on it. She is easily reached, plenty of extra credit, and super organized. I would recommend

I took the Hybrid course this semester. It was so much fun. We only had 8 class meetings. We watched historical movies and then talked about them. It was AWESOME. Free textbook too!!

Content and layout is simply straightforward. Beware that you will need to spend extra time on reading and taking quizzes/tests to be fully prepared for her mandatory meeting. I enjoyed having her teach about American history.

Wow! I really messed up in this class. I tanked my Research Paper which is a state requirement. Instead of failing me though Dr. B let me make it up! Yes! She SAVED me! She has a zero late policy but when I failed she gave me an opportunity to make up my paper. I pass. If she hadn't given me this opportunity I would have dropped out of college. !

Banker ansers her emails in like 30 seconds. EVEN on weekend! She was understaning. My dog died middle of semester. I was so sad. Banker wrote kindest email. She let me make up late work even though it said she won't. It made me cry, her caring about my dog.

i so messed uo. i didnt read the directions and FAILED my paper. I fail class but ms banker let me retake my paper. she saved me! without this makeup I would not have passed.

**I took her for IDS 2891: Connections*** This is an easy class. Just read and write a few papers. Didn't interact with the professor much but she allowed me to resubmit an assignment because it couldn't be opened. Some professors would mark you a zero. Banker is a good professor for the IDS class

The assignments are easy and she grades fairly. I would definitely recommend her to others.

This class was overall easy if you read the lecture notes. The assignments were only 2 question quizzes on the lecture notes.

During this course you had one paper to write and I am not good at all with papers, the paper is a Golden Rule paper your paper must be at least a 70 to pass or you will fail the class, I fail the paper but Professor did not want me fail the class since I maintained an A, she let me re-due the paper and I passed her class with a B. Easy class.

Easy class. A few opinion essays and six chapter tests. No finals.

Took Professor Banker's 8 week online class and it was relatively easy. I have to say it involves a LOT of reading so make sure you actually read the textbook. The reading check tests are open book with unlimited attempts so those are super easy. The essays are simple; Gordon Rule assignment is super easy (it's opinionated so it's all on you!).

Professor Banker cares about her students and is a great communicator. The course itself was very easy with straightforward instructions. I wish other professors would be like her because she actually checks up on you and gives you feedback on assignments. I definitely recommend her for AMH2020.

Want an easy A? Take this class. Professor Banker gives you assignments that you can't answer unless you really did the reading and know what you're talking about, she is particularly in word count and MLA formatting, but she does also give lots of extra credit opportunities throughout the course. She also gives unlimited attempts on all quizzes.

Very nice and understanding. Definitely take good notes and pay attention, very passionate about the subject which makes learning more fun. Easy class and I personally had fun in history for once.

took the 8 week class and ended with a 99.8% just follow the rubric and you will get a 100% on every assignment. extra credit opportunities. theres a scholarly source assignment where for 6 questions you have to write 200 words on why a source is scholarly or not, then find a source yourself. not a hard assignment just time consuming.

I could tell Professor Banker really cared about their class and their students. The material was clearly outlined and easy to understand. My only complaint was in the directions for some assignments. I spoke with this professor about the questions I had on my work and they were quick to respond and were caring that I understood everything.

Not only was this my first class at hcc, this was also my easiest. She'll have you submit maybe 2-3 assignments per week and you have unlimited retakes for tests. I accidentally submitted the wrong assignment and she allowed me resubmission. Also, as long as you submit work before the due date you'll probably get extra credit for the list tests.

the lectures are interesting to say the least... not proofread and kind of confusing sometimes. but as long as you read them you will be fine on the tests. the grade is weighted heavily by the written tests too but they were pretty easy. take this class for an easy A for sure.

Very easy online class. Syllabus clearly explains the schedule and grading. She posted ALL assignments and the due dates on day one and made them all accessible from day one. It was easy to work ahead, so at the end of the term I could focus on studying for my other classes finals. Submitting assignments early yielded extra credit.

Professor Banker is as wonderful instructor she simply explains her expectations of her class as her students. Assignments as straight forward and very doable. follow the rubric and you will have no problems getting an A in her class, she offers extra credit opportunities which is great. She is always there to help with any questions, uses Ebooks.

I took this course in the summer and this prof was actually super easy. The grading criteria was very clear and straight forward. I did all her assignments while I was on vacation. 10/10

Prof uses list tests which are like short paragraph responses for tests. They're easy if you follow the instructions and read the required materials. There are a handful of lecture notes, but they're not hard to understand and they aren't horribly long. Honestly, I benefited from the shift from MCQs to list tests. There are re-dos allowed.

Pro. Banker responds quickly to emails. you can ask or talk to her about anything EVERYTHING is straight forward, make sure you read through the course syllabus. along with reading the chapters, you have to read her lecture notes along with the book. I ordered the book even though ebook is available. list test questions. I recommend her.

One of the easiest classes I have ever taken. I took it as my first dual enrollment. Formatting is strict but you are given more than enough resources to do the work correctly. She cares a lot and would respond to all of my emails in less than an hour, sometimes immediately, even on the weekends.

I loved taking Prof. Banker's class this semester! She was so sweet and responds fairly quickly, and will grade assignments even on weekends. Be prepared that each assignment is worth 150 points, and there is a LOT of reading. You have assigned textbook chapters, and class lecture notes to read. There is some extra credit opportunities too!
