Great Powerpoint slides. Very fun teacher, keeps things interesting.
The best marketing teacher at St. Pete. Take him if he is teaching basis marketing.

great teacher for marketing
Great teacher! Take him if you get the chance!
Great teacher! I've had him for 3 classes. His lectures are well outlined and interesting. Take him if you get the chance!!!
Interesting lecture and easy tests. Work hard for projects!
The lectures are very interesting and well-outlined. Do NOT underestimate his tests. Very slow grader.
He is great. Great sense of humor, great presentations, great for fairness, great for help and great if you need to contact him. Funny as heck!!
Took International Marketing in China. He is a great teacher. The material isn't too difficult, and the test wasn't hard. He is very helpful, fair, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend this professor.
The worse course ever. Students BEWARE. He intentionally cheats students out of points on the quizes. His answer key is wrong.
That is so ridiculous! Whoever wrote that probably did poorly in the course. I had Ainscough for 2 courses and he is a really good professor. He would never cheat a student out of points. His lectures are very interesting and he grades fairly! Overall, he is a very nice person, and wants to help his students out.
You don't need to be aware! He is fair and helpful. Tests are straight forward from lecture. Work hard on group projects and quizzes.
Dr. Ainscough is cool. I actually looked forward to his class. Great powerpoint presentations. Lots of hot chicks take Ainscough as well. He has a way with the ladies if you know what I mean. Foxy Foxy what's it gonna be?
Foxy foxy? Must be some old guy that failed the class! Ainscough is a good professor though!
This class can be work intensive but the professor is really fair! Tests can be tricky but you can pass them by just attending class and taking good notes. I never read the book I just went to class and put in extra work on the assignments and got an A-. Plus the professor keeps the class interesting with his lectures and is a generally nice guy
I never used my book except for one project. Projects aren't bad, just get a good group. Very easy to talk to and helpful. Uploads an outline that you fill in while in class so don't miss or copy the notes b/c tests are about 60% notes.
Took for international marketing and he was the most interesting professor I have had at USF. Class is of average difficulty but he makes it fun. I would estimate 90%+ of the tests are from the lecture. I used the book just once and got an A average on all tests. Highly recommend the professor.
Take this teacher! Has interesting slides/pictures. Gives you outlines and you fill in the rest during PP lectures. 2 group projects, only used the book for 1 project then never opened it again. Final project is worth 250 pts. Just be creative and you'll do fine with the project.
interesting class--this guy's been everywhere!
Big ego. Thinks his opinion is more important than anyting we read. Some funny stories, but not 15 weeks wroth.
Don't need the book if you take good notes. He uses outlines, too. Assigments are easy and tests are straight forward. But---GO to class! Very difficult if you do not. Very good teacher.
Interesting class. Great power points. But tests were harder than expected.
I spent 3 weeks in Asia with this guy, he is not only a great teacher, but a great guy to hang out with. A+
professor ainscough was fairly difficult on his tests but he offers a lot of extra credit, the extra credit is a bit hard sometimes but sometimes just randomly gives a few extra points to those who stick around and dont leave class early. there are two group projects, one minor and one major - be sure to get in a good group!!!
His class is easy and he's a nice guy. Just go to every class and stay until finished. Take good notes from the PP slides and definitely do the geography extra credit. It'll help you a lot. For the projects, make sure you get with a good group.
Detached, impersonal instructor.Never read a chapter. 90% of test comes from class notes & 10% from book. To do well on test you must memorize all class notes. No conceptual questions here.
This guy isn't an interesting teacher. He just teaches off his PP and doesn't add anything interesting to the class. His tests are moderately difficult. He tests mainly on his in-class notes but he does use questions relating to the book also. The assignments were lengthy but I got a 100% on 2 out of the 3 during the semester.
This class is fairly easy. Do extra credit geography quizzes, study power points (tests straight from), get a good group, and get at least a B. I recommend this class, even though he is unprepared and seems to care less.
Great guy. Very helpful and understanding if you let him know of a problem. He is interested in him subject and it shows.
I took this class online during the summer. His tests are very hard. He gives 3 test (50 questions to be completed in 45 min) and 5 mini projects. You have to study very hard if you want to pass this class. Most of the testing material derives from the video lectures and you have to read the text book. Good luck.
Took online over summer. Tests come from lectures, take notes word for word from lecture and you'll get an A. I put a little extra effort into the mini projects and ended up not having to the last one and still got an A. I highly recommend taking this online. Easy class and he makes it interesting.
Took this class over the summer. Very interesting online lectures, different that any other online class. Be sure to write down what he says and you will do well dont just copy the slides. Instructor answered questions very fast, even though he was living in Asia at the time. VERY strict about dates and times, big deductions for slightly late work!
Great teacher. I enjoyed the online class and would advise anyone to take the class. Lots of fun yet we were learning.
FOLLOW THE SYLLABUS. You cannot count on him to keep you posted on upcoming assignment due dates since he doesnt utilize blackboard AT ALL. His cirriculum - 5 assignments, 2 test. Video lectures are worst than watching paint dry. I was actually relatively interested in taking this class but he sure shot that enthusiasm down.
Online class. Video lectures are interesting. Tests arent hard if you watch the lectures and take notes. He doesn't give out copies of the slides, so you have to write everything down. The book is not that important as he covers most of the important points in the lectures. You still need it to look up the answers you don't remember though.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF you cannot learn from video lectures. MOST of his exam questions are derived from the video lectures. The mini-projects are hard to receive full credit. He expects you to complete a 50 Q exam within 45 minutes. I.e. If you go over 4 minutes your exam grade drops from an 80% to a 40%. No excuses.
Summer class had 5 projects(very easy)but the same time if you complete all of them you still going to get only 80% because it is impossible to get more then 1pont. Tests are very easy if you listen to the lectures, don't even have to read a book, only for 1st exam.Write down EVERYTHING from the lecture and you'll do fine.Got A- because of projects
Straitforward class. Tests are right from the class notes. Not much from the book. It's fairly easy to get an A on the projects if you put in more than the bear minimum amount of work. I got a 1 on the first one and asked why. He explained how to improve and I got 2-3 points on the rest.
If you want a teacher that Cares don't take this class!I have never seen a professor LESS interested in his students. He didn't even show up to give the midterm exam,he sent someone else. He makes it VERY clear he wants very little contact with students. Several exam ?'s were written poorly. <1% receive A's on the projects.NOT RECOMMENDED
I spent about an hour working on each case and got an A-. Tests came right from the notes. I wish I didnt buy the book. He pretty much explains everything you need to know in the lectures.
This class was fairly easy - attend class, listen to his lectures, print and fill out the notes, and review the notes before exam. Reading the chapters are optional, although it does help a little. Don't worry too much about the projects. :) They're easy to do, even if the default grade is a B! Definitely recommend.
It's only 1/2 way through the semester, but I'm taking 2 classes with this professor and am pretty confident in my likeness of him. His method of teaching and in-depth understanding of the field has, for the first time, stimulated a genuine interest in Marketing for me. I'm so happy I will grad in Dec and not be utterly bored with my degree. :)
Took his marketing class online, it sucked so bad! Unfair grades on all of your mini projects and only gives you 3 exams which he allows 45 mins to answer 50 questions! Never scored higher than a 58 on any exam. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!
Took online. Videoectures were awful but write down everything he says bc little things are on tests. 45 m timed test for 50 questions so study like it's in class and post notes on your walls around computer. A reason i did well well was bc of curves. Minicases weren't too bad-just answer questions and use 3-5 references to get good grades.
I had this class online in the summer. Cool video lectures. The exams are not hard if you study the lecture material. Almost all of the questions come from there. Cases are very easy. Overall good class
BEST CLASS EVER. This guy really knows how to run an international business and explains all of the details in class. Ive never had a class like this before. Most professors teach out of the book. We barely use the book at all. On the downside, the first test was pretty hard, but he curved the grades a lot.
I took the online marketing class, the video quality is terrible and you can't hear the class when they speak, but Prof is very easy to understand. His lectures contain 99% of what is on the test.Yes, they are hard but he curves. Take notes from lectures, DO the projects with 3-5 citings, and study. Also USE his provided lecture outlines!
Awesome class. Kept me awake for three hours, which isn't easy.
This is a class about marketing financial services. You will learn about that. You'll also learn what bank to use, how to get a mortgage, which credit cards are best and so many other things too. Really fun and interesting class. Professor is so friendly.
Excellent class and nice professor.
Took this course online, assignments are difficult and instructions are not very clear. Professor grades strictly. He is VERY unhelpful and short with his answers.
I'm in this class now and have an A so far. Lectures are interesting, but the videos can be hard to get working sometimes. The written assignments are pretty easy to get a good grade on. Not sure how anyone could say they are hard. I spent about two hours on each one and got most of the points.
Best online class I've had. Multiple choice exams. Cases aren't very difficult.
Took online. Don't buy textbook. Watch lectures, copy slides word for word. He will not give you the slides, probably because he wants you to watch the lecture, takes about 1 hr. Most answers are word for word from the slides. Do cases studies with 5 references, probably 2 pages double spaced. 4 Case studies total. Got 24s/25.I'm not a great writer.
Don't buy the book! You do not need it. Take word for word notes from the lectures. Not very helpful guy if he posts incomplete lectures and everyone tells him his simple response is that he's not an IT guy. Not a hard class though.
I dont really like online classes, but this was a pretty good class as online classes go. Exams come from the lectures, so don't skip them. I didnt have a problem with the videos.
Instructions/expectations for assignments can best be described as vague. Classes would be faster & more productive if he didn't go into tangents about things that have nothing to do with the lesson or class. He should keep up w/current marketing concepts–never heard of native advertising or interstitial banners, both discussed often in trade pubs.
Good class, but the assignment was really time consuming and I had a dysfunctional group which made it ridiculously difficult to complete everything on time. Lectures were interesting and the instructor knew the topic well. Recommended, but get a good group.
Interesting class. Professor talks about a lot of issues that are tangentially related to the course, but it helps keep my attention in a 3 hour class. Its one of the best two or three classes Ive taken in my major. Study the lectures. I had no trouble getting an A.
Summer online course. Course was not difficult. Easy A if you watch the lectures and take good notes. Cases take a few hours to do if you want an A because you need 6 references. You do need the textbook for the quizzes.
Almost all of the test material came from the video lectures, and only 60 minutes to do the exam so study that if you wanna pass. You only need the book for the quizzes, but its not really helpful on tests.
Exams are hard and he grades hard also!! None of the questions on the tests are in the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Easy class. Exams are based off his video lectures (usually an 1.5 hours), weekly quizzes come from the book, so you need the book despite what others have said. He curves the midterm and the final quite nicely. You have to do 4 case studies which aren't bad. He doesn't grade the assignments, at least this semester it was his TA doing the grading.
Not a difficult course if you watch the lectures. More interesting than most online classes. Easy to get a B on projects, but hard to get an A.
You need the book to pass weekly quizzes (he drops 1); you need to take VERY specific notes when watching his lectures for exams (3, 2 Mandatory and Final is optional); 4 Cases - not hard, just find 6 sources and make sure you format correctly. LATE WORK NEVER ACCEPTED. Gives extra credit towards end of semester.
Beaware exams are difficult and account for almost all of your grade. Quizzes are easy most answers can be found online. Writing assignments are looked at very closely for even the smallest error by teacher assistant. As I said before exams account for almost your whole grade. They are timed 50 questions. You have roughly 1 min 20 sec each question
I have no idea how people fail this course. Easy class if you watch the lectures and take good notes. The exam questions are 90% in the lectures word for word. The quizzes are easy. Use 6 references on cases and you will get a good grade.
I took this class online and thought it was very easy. The lectures are boring, but if you take good notes you'll do good on the tests. You'll fail the tests if you don't watch the lectures. He curves them if not a lot of people do well. For the quizzes you need the book, but the answers are easily found. For cases use 6 sources.
Great online class! Interesting lectures. Projects aren't difficult if you follow the guidelines.
The text reading is required if you want to pass weekly quizzes. You must take notes on the weekly lectures if you want to pass the tests. Cases are graded strictly on the grading criteria provided in the syllabus. There were no surprises in the grading criteria, the class is run exactly as it is laid out in the syllabus.
Took the online class and really enjoyed his lectures! Great professor!
There are short quizzes each week, but you can just google most of the questions. The exams are based on the video lectures. You can use notes on the exam, so make sure to take good notes from the videos and you will pass the exams. The cases are basically like short essays but there's no specific length except the answer shouldnt be "too short".
Super easy class.
Terrible online, always had to curve test scores, quizzes did not reflect what was actually on the test.
Super hard and he is not fair . He shows little interest in helping his students . So if you want a better professor go somewhere else.
he's very helpful and cares about his student, overall easy, class easy A
he's very helpful and cares about his student, overall easy class
Stay Away!!!
Lot of useful information very hard test.
I enjoyed the lectures and case studies. However, I did not like his grading policies. Exams are from lecture material and quizzes from textbook material. Make sure you read textbook, it will help with quizzes and the info is pretty interesting! Could have had an A, but I chose not to take the final.
Easy class if you follow the syllabus. Everything is exactly as written there. I think you'd have to try hard to get less than a C. Responds to emails very quickly, even on weekends.
The class is challenging and you need to read a lot in order to pass the test. Grades on some assignments are curved. If you like to be challenged and really enjoy reading this is the class for you.
Lectures were interesting. Quizzes were easy coz can look up most answers in the book. The tests weren't bad if you take notes on the lectures and review before the test. Plus he curves them. The cases were a mixed bag. Some were interesting and some were boring, but easy As. I had a B average on the tests, but ended up with an A because of them.
Best online lectures I've had. Exams were hard, but they are curved so its easy to get a good grade. I checked mandatory attendance because you have to watch all of the videos because the exams come from that material. The book is mostly for the quizzes. Cases were easy to get an A if you write a few pages and use 6 references.
Boring online lectures. Long exams are over the top hard with curve cause most dont pass. TA nit picks everything with inconsistency. Try someone else trust me.
Easy class if you study like its a classroom course. Exams come word-for-word from the lecture material. Cases are an easy A if you use 6 sources.
The subject is easy as can be. The course work is setup in way that makes little sense as far as teaching goes. There doesn't appear to be any effort put into course material assigned to students. This would probably explain the curving of grades. The class is passable but if there's an alternative course try that. GOOOO BULLS....
Good class, lectures are better than most, considering its online. There is a lot of stuff happening so its easy to forget to turn things in and no late work is accepted if you forget.
I think the only way you could find this professor unhelpful is if you didn't bother to contact him. I sent many emails over the term and all were responded to within a day. Yes the exams are super hard, but they are always curved, which gave me an A on both exams and I skipped the final because he drops one test.
Not the hardest professor out there, but be aware that most of your grade comes from two exams. If you're unsatisfied with Exam 1 or 2 you can take the cumulative final. 50 Q's, 75 min each. They are solely based on his video lectures. Take VERY detailed notes and you should be fine. 10 Q Quizzes are from book. 4 Cases are easy to do.I'd recommend.
Class work is graded and critiqued by TA. Lot of curving by Professor. Time limits are not long enough for amount of test questions.
One of my favorite MBA courses.
Good online class with interesting lectures. I learned a lot about marketing. Would take again.
This online class was very poor quality.
Very straight forward class. Exams come directly from the lectures with weekly quizzes from the book. Answers to the quizzes were easy to find in the allowed time.
Class materials are practical. I learned a lot from this class. Definitely taking class with Dr. Aincsough again.
Long and overly drawn out. Material is not direct and seem to be easily misunderstood. Not sure if that's the intention or not. Seek another class.
I've had class with Professor Ainscough 3 times now, and each time has been an easy A. He drops the lowest exam & quiz grade, allowing for grade improvement and exemption from taking the final. DEFINITELY take notes on the lectures because exam questions are from there. Quiz answers are online. Cases are graded easily as long as you have citations.
Class layout and grading policies very clear. Watch lecture videos and take good notes, needed for exams. Quizzes based mainly off of textbook readings. Would definitely take another one of this classes again.
A lot of lectures for an online course, but at least they're interesting. Tests come mostly from the lectures. Cases require a lot of writing for a good grade, not only the citation count. Overall if you follow the instructions they're an easy A though.
Interesting class because the professor uses examples from extensive international travel. Exams are open book, but they're timed so you have to study like it's in class. Overall I learned a lot and it wasn't too painful.
Good class, and papers aren't difficult to get a good grade, but deadlines are super strict.
There is a group simulation project, weekly textbook readings, modules and quizzes, two papers and a comprehensive final. Get ready to work 5-6 days a week on this class. The simulation requires 2-3 inputs every week, plus the quizzes are only open Sundays. There is a lot of work, group projects (hard) and not a clear direction how it is graded.
There are a few things with this class that bothered me. First, there is a group project that requires multiple submissions per week. Then there are two group papers that are due one week after another. With all that, there are weekly quizzes and a final. The prof is smart but the class has a lot of work and group papers are hard to do.
If you're able to skip this professor, do it! This class is awful and I recommend taking a different International course in order to graduate.
If you can avoid this professor and this class, I definitely would. It was a drag that required a lot of work with not much direction. There was a group project and also two group papers due back to back. Its cefinitely a lot of work and I wouldnt have taken it if I knew what I was getting into.
This was my favorite MBA class to date. The professor is experienced in the area and the online lectures add a lot to the readings. The workload is heavy, but not unreasonable for an 8 week course.
Absolutely worth the time I put in to it. Also the professor was easy to work with when I had a problem with one of the assignments. The final exam was a lot easier than the quizzes. I think he makes those tough so you're ready for the final. Looking forward to another class from this prof!
Good course. Would take again.
Great lectures for an online class. Exams were based mostly on the lecture material so take good notes. The projects were graded exactly as outlined in the syllabus.
Great professor to take for MAR3023. His syllabus is very clear and the class is easy if you do the work. Be sure to pay close attention and take detailed notes for the lectures because it is crucial for the class exams. Very straight to the point, guy!
Passive Aggressive and totally not helpful towards students, though it's an online class. It's an MBA class but the material is undergrad level. Teaching segmenting and positioning like marketing 101. No consideration for students during the pandemic and other things happening around the world. We're the one keeping him employed. Waste of money
MBA level course but treat it like a marketing 101 class for undergrads. Teach basic marketing knowledge like segmentation, positioning, what's a media plan. Nothing more. Don't even have a real final project, just a basic simulation throughout the course. Waste of time and grad school tuition. He doesn't care about students.
He teaches solely from a textbook and a simulation. Doesn't care about students. MBA course but offer no real world knowledge or experience. He quizzes you every week about textbook material. Make it an undergrad class. Inconsiderate towards students during a pandemic.
Would take again
Great lectures. Fast replies to questions. Difficult exams, but there was a curve. The simulation was interesting, but I wish it came later in the course.
don't buy book. you need to watch lectures but exams aren't proctored. takes some time to grade stuff. he drops the 3 lowest quizzes. 2 multiple choice exams, 3rd is optional and replaces another exam. quiz (not proctored) every week and 4 cases throughout semester. all easy. prof is nice and emails within good time.
easy professor. there were quizzes every week and he drops the 2 lowest ones. he assigned writing assignments that were pretty too. took him online and he gives out a 3rd exam if you wanna replace ur lowest exam grade
No proctorio, exams are open book/notes. Quizzes are about the book and exams are about his lectures. There are 4 case studies, relative easy. If you watch his lectures you will pass this class. Would recommend if you like to take notes and are a great listener.
The course is based on 1000 points, 400 from 12 quizzes and 4 case studies and 600 from 2 exams. I took notes in all of the lectures and read the entire book. However, the exams are not related to either of them, even if he says it is from the lectures. I had an A until the final exam. Don't recommend unless you can take exams that are not related.
Really enjoyed his lectures. Barely used the textbook, just skimmed through before taking quizzes/tests but everything's open book so that helps. Frustrating that he took forever to enter my grades. I took the 6-week summer class & there were 10 quizzes, 3 case studies & 3 exams. There's an optional extra quiz & exam to replace your lowest grades.
Very good lectures and fast replies to emails. Exams are directly from the book and notes. Grading scale is more favorable to students than most other classes.
Professor Ainscough (pronounced ains-co) has pretty nice and pretty accessible. He's clear in what he's looking for and the overall grading of the class is well-rounded - a good balance of quizzes, exams, and cases. There is one group project. You will need the book as all material reference such and he does a good job of following such.
He's a qualified and experienced professor. I just wish he would share more about himself with the class. He supposedly owns a business and travels the world. He never cares to share any of his personal experiences with us though.
Professor Ainscough was ok for an online course. I'm sure his course in person is much different. He made online students wait till he recorded and published lectures for his in-person courses (Thursday at the latest) and still made assignments due on Sunday. It was frustrating having to wait so long for the lectures and finish work with less time.
Make sure to take notes on the textbook to do well in the class. Although he provides lecture videos, they don't reflect everything that will be covered on the exams (which are open-book). There are a few case studies that are relatively easy and a optional makeup exam and quiz that can replace your lowest grades.
Professor Tom was cool he has a lot of real world experiences. Attendance was not mandatory because his lectures were recorded. There was a country analysis due at end of the semester to do with a group. Overall good professor interesting lectures.
If you take this class online just know he doesn't interact with his online students as much. I just feel like I didnt learn anything in this class. For those wondering...nothing is proctored, but you got to take good notes on lectures/textbooks.
Professor Tom is okay. His lectures are very long but overall not a hard class. The exams are 50 questions in 60 minutes so you have to know your stuff for them. Some of his lectures are quite boring and he is pretty monotone but he has great real-world experience. I'm not sure if I'd take him again, pretty easy A/B but very boring but chill.
Class required a lot of study time, but the prof is super helpful if you email him. I had a lot of questions and he took time to provide thoughtful answers, which is not common with online classes. I saw some people say that he doesn't send out a lot of emails, which is true, but Id rather get specific answers to my questions than a lot of spam.
His grading for the Case studies make it too difficult to receive a 100 on (6 sources quoted required for one case study). The Exams ARE proctored so looks like he made a change to that as well. He lectures about hours of material prerecorded. Pros: Exam is open notes. Quizzes though not worth a lot, can be searched online.
Don't take him. Doesn't make his slides, they are direct from the textbook. Very monotone and boring. Weekly quizzes are proctored but online and can use Google. 4 Exams, not comprehensive, proctored, online, only notes and textbook allowed, and they're kinda hard. BEWARE: 4 case studies and said only top 5% of class are allowed to make an A
The Class is incredibly easy. Everything is open note so there is little to no studying needed. The case studies require thought and time but the tests could be taken without even reading the book. Quizzes are completely open book and source. If you want an easy online class this would be it.
The cases weren't hard but just following the guidelines gets a B+ max. You have to do extra work to get an A range grade, and only a certain number of people can get A grades on cases, they are competitive A's. The exams are open note and book with honorlock. 80% of material is in both the book and lectures, 20% is just in one so both important
Attendance not required. PPT slides he just reads off of, really doesn't provide much information for the class. I would recommend purchasing the textbook. The cases are graded in a nitpicky way. Makes the class more difficult than it needs to be.
Took the class in person but attendance was not mandatory. Weekly quizzes that were easy. A total of 4 exams and 4 case studies (also easy as long as you follow directions).
Professor grades fairly and provides clear directions and rubrics to succeed in the cases. Lots of lecture videos although exams and quizzes are open book. It's very easy to do well in the cases- make sure you check the rubric and write a thoughtful analysis with adequate sources.
This class is a lot of material but it's not that hard. Prof. Ainscough is cool and attentive. If quiz/test questions don't match the book he'll fix them if you let him know. Lectures are important.
The class is fairly straightforward, with open-note exams and competitive case studies. Lectures are important, and unstuck study can be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, a manageable course if you stay on top of the work.
Lectures and attendance are completely useless; he just reads directly from an admittingly old slideshow he didn't write and posted on Canvas. The best part of the class was the group Case Projects, with about 4 of them. No homework, 4 heavy exams, and final exam is optional. I wish the class was more interactive and worth going to in person.
His class was excellent. The material was engaging, the discussions were interesting, and the concepts were explained clearly. His enthusiasm and knowledge made learning enjoyable and meaningful. Cases were graded exactly as outlined, and he provided helpful feedback that made expectations clear.
Professor Tom A. was a great instructor—his lectures were interesting, and he brought a lot of real-world experience to the class. The main project was a group country analysis due at the end of the semester, but attendance wasn't required since all lectures were recorded. Overall, a solid professor and a good class!
Excellent course. Easy quizzes. Overwhelming project, but learned a lot. Fortunately I had a good group to work with.
Great class—challenging but worth the effort. The professor was supportive and easy to work with when I had an issue. Quizzes were tough, but they really prepared me for the final, which felt much easier. The course was well-organized. I will take international marketing with this professor next term.
Probably the hardest, yet best class I took in graduate school. I learned a lot. Professor has a great deal of business experience. Simulation was a challenge. Cases required a lot of work if you want do get an A. Be sure to get a good group. It helps.
His class is fine, I guess. I found it relatively low effort and easy. I do find it wild that a professor is so heavily reliant on ChatGPT for their content. If you want to use ChatGPT in this class though easy A for sure.
Very interesting class. I changed my major to marketing because of this class. There were a lot of assignments though.
This class was easy, the lectures are recorded and the prof even said after the first class that you didn't have to show up unless you absolutely wanted to. The only hard part was that the textbook is an ABSOLUTE must, tests/quizzes are open book/open note but holy reading it's a lot. Tests are long and based off good note taking from the quizzes.
Professor Ainscough's classes are organized and challenging, with clear explanations and strong support for engaged students. Attendance isn't required.
(spring 25) textbook heavy, attendance isn't required, and honestly to get 100% on the projects you have to do the highest level of work on the syllabus, which takes a while. all of the projects are also group projects. Email him if you have any questions.
He uses chatgpt so much I question whether he even knows his subject matter anymore. Anyways, use chatgpt for an easy a and move on I guess.
