Very nice guy, incredibly smart, teaches through experience which he has lots of
Good Guy
I really liked Anastasi. I took him again for another course.
Good at explaining concepts, but poor at giving good feedback; how ironic
He is not good at teaching conceptsYou will, however, have short classes.

Has a lot of knowledge on things we need to know, but doesn't know how to apply.
energetic. short classes.

DJ Stazi delivers the HR with a straight R&B/Hip Hop perspective. His rhymes are ill, and he drops some of the sickest beats this side of harlem. Fo shizzo my nizzo.
He is totally useless; a terrible professor who goes off-tangent all the time and teaches you nothing. His grading system is retarded and pretty much everyone left the class pissed off about their grade and wanting their money back.
Anastasi is an IDIOT!!! Don't take any classes with him! Unless you enjoy a mindless drivel and bad grades.
Anastasi is a bad professor. You learn nothing in his classes and he is no help at all on the project and assignments. OB is already a terrible course, you don't need him to make it any more miserable. Avoid at all costs.
LOVE HIM
tom rocks the casbah
Good guy. Some times can go on about himself. The Lec.'s are better then the classes.
Prof. Anastasi is a nice guy and tells interesting stories. But his class is a waste of time and you learn NOTHING! He is obviously very knowledgable... too bad he doesn't teach it to us.
Seriously he is a Funny guy but you dont learn ****!!! his classes are joke!!!! also he is always talking about himself and no one else.. he thinks he is the greatest!!!! he doesnt really care about teaching the class and is always mumbling!
Anastaci was great at first, funny and kept the conversations interesting. But it was all about him, his success and wonderful stories. A blow-hard that never learned anyone's name! Nice guy, bad teacher
Very friendly and fun! A harder grader than you would expect though given his laid-back demeanor.
plain horrible, only cares and talks about himself, you will learn about NOTHING other than his house, wife etc
He is kind but his class is useless. You dont learn a thing. The class itself is useless so i don blame him much. The class is just a waste. He's a tough grader. He doesnt teach you the things that you need to know. He's only good at letting you out early
nice person
Class was decent. However he teaches the same stuff over and over. He teaches actual concepts about 10% of the class. He wants to make you feel like you are getting a good grade until after the Evals when he downgrades you at least one letter grade.
OB221 must suck...I'm in UNI so I skipped to his upper-level classes, OB448, then 449. Not difficult but entertaining--you'll get out of the course what you put in. Not quantitative, but behavioral/psychological. Loved both courses.

one of the nicest guys ever...knows alot about ob and doesnt care about department rules or requirements.. grades fair...probably the best discussion teacher

Weirdo!
He's a little weird, but really just quirky. His stories usually don't have a great punch line, and he can't eat salad. (it goes everywhere) His grading is so-so, sometimes he's just a jerk.
he just doesnt teach
Not helpful at all. Doesn't teach. very inaccessible, doesnt ever reply back to emails. pretty useless as a professor overall. dont be thrown off by his laid back attitude
an awful professor because HE DOESN'T TEACH! he stopped going over the material we learned in lecture after the second week of class. never explains any course concepts. he is never available outside of class. he wants u to think he is nice and a fair grader so u give him good evaluations. in reality though, he's a tough grader
Anastasi is entertaining in class, although you don't actually learn the material. Take someone else if you want to be prepared for the midterm & final. OB really isn't his forte, I've heard he is a lot better in Negotiations. He says that he uses the grading sheet for papers & projects. He really just skims the paper and makes up a grade.
Excellent Course
An entertaining class, but you learn absolutely nothing from him. He skips through the material that will be on the exams and goes right to the videos. Fails at distributing fair grades. 75% of the class I would say receives an A- on everything even though there are significant differences in quality; leads to deflation at the end. Brags a lot!
Stories don't make sense - low applicability to negotiations. Examples are too easy.
He is super disorganized, doesn't know how to answer questions presented by students. Homework is technically optional, but even when you do it he doesn't explain it well so you remain lost.
The content has a potential to be very interesting but he made it extremely boring. Also he is a hard grader.
He doesn't teach on the class, and he is never available for help
Doesn't teach and gives practically everyone an 82 on everything. Take someone else if you want a better grade. Talks way too much about himself and not course material
I never Review anyone but I felt like I had to after taking Anastasi's SM131 class. If you want to get a good grade in the class - don't take him! I didn't learn anything and basically had to teach myself the course. He's also very unclear about how he grades papers and presentations.
Anastasi is a nice guy, but he always appears disorganized. We did the same thing every class in ES215. I don't feel much more confident in my career abilities after taking this class. You go over resumes and cover letters, but you can simply get guidance on these things from the UDC. I feel like I would've been better off with another professor.
Anastasi is never clear about what he expects you to do; focus on doing well on the exams to get that B- to pass SM131 because the presentation grades were pretty much the same for everyone with really small fluctuation, and he never gave specific feedback. Overall humorous guy and discussions were pretty interactive.
Professor Anastasi is a very smart guy but has no clue how to translate the information to students. We constantly correct him in class when going over the homework and he does a very bad job at explaining the problems.
Really nice guy, terrible professor. Discussion won't really help you in terms of the exams, but definitely participate and know that he grades relatively harshly. Just really boring and did't seem like he cared about the class at all.
Does not really explain concepts in class. IF YOU CAN AVOID HIM, DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
One time someone said that they didn't understand a concept and that his explanation didn't make sense so he slapped the table, went "IT DOES MAKE SENSE" and moved on and didn't speak of it again. That's pretty much all you need to know about what it's like to be in his class
Really nice person, but not the best teacher. He incorrectly graded many of my quizzes then couldnt figure out how I got questions wrong and couldnt find correct answers for his own quizzes. Doesnt go over any of the homeworks, just asks a student to write the answer on the board and expects everyone to get something out of that.
Professor Anastasi is a really good person, but not so much a good professor. He doesn't know how to explain stuff and it's like he just hopes that the students can do that for him, which isn't what professors are supposed to do in my opinion. At least not all of the time.
he's been at Questrom forever, and he is a very smart and experienced guy. the class material itself is not difficult, but the tests (which is what the majority of your grade is, besides group projects) are hard b/c he doesn't really explain what is on them... and expects us to know things in great detail that he never goes over. very frustrating.
I don't agree with any of these reviews. Anastasi is one of the nicest and most easygoing professors that makes the vibe of each class very chill. He's really knowledgable about so many different things, and is very approachable outside of class. He also has a lot of life stories that are inspiring. Overall an amazing professor and the nicest guy.
Prof. Anastasi is literally the sweetest man at BU. He is so interested in what he's teaching, always has so many amazing stories to share, and really tries to connect on a personal level with all his students. It can be hard to keep up with what content is part of the syllabus and what's going on, but Anastasi makes up for it all.
He doesnt really explain class concepts and goes on and on about his own life stories, which would have been fine if he graded better but no. He is a harsh grader. Dont take him if you can
Anastasi is a really nice person, but he is an awful professor. He always seems like he's in his own world and is so disorganized. He doesn't really even present his slides, he just reads a bullet and moves on. Students don't seem to respect him either because he clearly doesn't respect us enough to put in a high effort.
Tom is such a sweet man, he feels like the daddy that you've never had. I don't how to describe this warm and fuzzy feeling but Tom is a rare gem. Tom, if you're reading this right now, you know who I am hehe.
His grading is weird - our team went to him for feedback on our research before our case study presentation, and he said it was perfect. But we ended up just getting an 86% despite him telling us everything was "perfect," and he started going back on his word about the things he liked about our presentation.
Prof. Anastasi is very sweet. A bit disorganized, but it was manageable. Make sure to do the readings.
I really didn't like this professor his class was the only class I ended up with a bad grade. He is just not good at teaching the class. It seems like he doesn't really care and it felt like he was never helpful. I literally went to office hours and he didn't know the answer of a problem. Unorganized, goes off topic all the time, so bad at grading.
Professor Anastasi is a pretty good prof and he is also very interesting when it comes to his life stories. The class was extremely difficult but can be tedious at times. There is a lot of reading in the first unit but it slowly levels out later on. There is two group projects but they are extremely difficult.
I just want to say one thing: all negative post about professor Anastasi in Rate My Professor are true.
Goes off topic mid-lecture a lot, doesn't really prepare students for the midterms/finals well because he focuses very specifically on specific things (not very holistic). Not the best teacher; doesn't prepare notes or anything, just reads off slides and then goes on tangents. Grades harshly on the group projects and feedback isn't clear.
Professor Anastasi is a great professor. His occasional life stories were very interesting as a biz major. There are lots of readings to do in the beginning of the sem, but it definitely gets better on. Make sure to participate a lot! He seeks out for students who are actively engaging. Hes tedious sometimes, but his lectures are mostly compelling
Professor went off topic a lot and did not engage with students very well during discussions. Tough grader for presentations with poor quality feedback for presentations. I do not feel like I have learned anything of value from attending discussion classes.
Anastasi is a fun professor to listen to but I wouldn't trust him to give me useful feedback. We were just a career toolkit class and we were behind 3 classes and skipped topics which didn't matter that much in the end. He has a variety of knowledge but as a teacher I'm unsure that any of his classes would add any value to my education.
I loved Anastasi because of how excited he would be every lecture and how would always raise the energy in the class. You definitely need to study a lot outside of class for the exams as he doesn't prepare you that well but I still loved going to his class. He always offered to take time for students to go over their exams with him.
Anastasi doesn't prepare for lecture, skims the powerpoints, and goes on rants that barely connect to the content. Feedback on presentations is extremely minimal. My team did well but he gave us maybe three sentences of feedback which gave us nothing concrete to build off of. He's nice but you will have to learn the whole course on your own.
Because the course is so standardized, none of the professors have much autonomy in what they teach to the class. Because of this, the class should have been straightforward. Professor Anastasi has interesting experience in the field, but used that to overcompensate for the fact that he didn't know much of the material.I never felt ready for tests.
Professor Anastasi is undoubtedly a good person with an impressive academic background, holding two PhDs and numerous degrees. His intelligence is clear, but his teachings often reflect outdated work experiences that don't resonate today. He's a good guy with valuable insights, but the content might feel a little off.
The man is interesting to listen to for sure, but after 2 minutes of him talking I realize he's saying the same stories over and over again. Attendance is not mandatory, I still don't know why I went. Don't ask him for advice, it's useless. If you take him just remember to - oh computer screens down please...-
SM131 itself is not a great class, but Anastasi made discussions interesting with personal stories and humor. Fair grader on presentations, super helpful during the presentation process.
He's a nice guy and he told a lot of really cool stories throughout discussions but I didn't really feel like I learned anything walking out of class. Our TA was awesome and helped us thoroughly prepare for our exams but Anastasi wasn't the most helpful. Fair grader and makes the class fun but I wish he would have focused a little more on content.
Funnest class I've ever take, because the professor is a joker. Definitely take him if you can, would experience a lot
Professor Anastasi does not know the content being teached in the course. If you are ever ask him to clarify a concept you will come out more confused than you were before. He wastes time in class with his own personal stories and gives students the wrong grades on tests (make sure to ask to see your test). Presentation feedback is minimal.

This guy should not be a teacher.
An average professor discussions were ok if you don't mind participating in class but would be rough if you struggle with that. Lacked giving useful feedback on assignments making improvements hard but is overall a very nice and easy to meet with.
He didn't listen to students when they're talking, he just being stunned.
Anastasi is one of the most talented, highly trained, and authentic professors you will meet at this institution. Treat him with respect, and take his time seriously as he is doing everything he can to make you successful so if you're having trouble in class take tutoring or find a career that will suit you better. Go to his office hours and learn!
I am APPALLED to see Prof.Anastasi's tremendously low rating on rate my professor because he is genuinely the funniest most caring professor I've ever had. He's worked a million high caliber jobs in business, and is funny af. He cares so much about his students success in his class. Attendance and participation are super important in his class.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HE HAS SM LOW RATINGS. HE IS AMAZING. So sweet so funny so talkative like WHAT? Anastasi is one of the best teachers i've ever had and I say that whole heartedly. He cares about his students, but reminds that success in this class depends on the effort you put into this class (studying for tests, preparing for projects etc).
I loved him for 131, the class itself is annoying but he is a really good prof for discussion sections and is a more fair grader than other profs. He cares a lot and is super receptive to feedback, and he genuinely wants people to do well if they put in the work.
I can not continue with my day without warning people about this guy. Every test I took he gave me at least 10% lower on by "accident" I had to ask to see my test and tell him he gave me the wrong grade. he is incompetent and has no clue what he is teaching. I understand the man has medical issues but it is unfair to let him be a professor.
