Very hilarious to listen to and observe, likes to make himself laugh a lot. Very knowledgable about Political Science.....good class. He's also very open to others' ideas and thoughts.

Mr. Beech is a great professor! He presented the material clear and in an enjoyable way! It WASN'T one of those classes you dreaded to go to, or feel asleep during.

Great class, great professor, great atmosphere! It's easy if you do a little studying and explain things really well on the tests. The fact that he emails you the notes for the day is awesome and I love the movie nights (which excuses two absences).

Beech is a great prof. He keeps the subject intresting and any time you have question if he doesn't have the answer, which is rare, he will get back to you with it. He is the reason I came to this school.

He is awesome. I was not interested in politics at all until I was talked into taking this class with a friend, and now I am. He is funny and makes this class interesting. Keep it up!

This guy is awesome! He's hot, too. I really enjoyed his class. He is easy to talk to, and I think that his lectures are easy to follow. The exams are a bit difficult with all the 411 a person needs to try and retain, but if you study, you will do well. I highly recommend taking one of his classes!

Beech Rocks. If you can you should take a class from him even if you are not interested in political science. It doesn't matter because he will make it interesting. GO BEECH GO!!

I'm not a political science major at all, yet I had no problem with this class. He is very funny, easy to talk to and treats everyone like they made his day. He rocks.

He's ****ing stunning, he's smart, and he's single. Material in the intro classes runs together a bit. Nonetheless, he's an excellent professor and i learned plenty.

Beech is not hard, um how about u study the review sheet, and the day before the test he goes through every single answer. You know all the answers before hand if you study the review sheet, I don’t see how u can get under a B. Beech is a sweet teacher that makes class entertaining.

Tom Beech is the best Canadian that I have ever met. He is very considerate to students and their needs. He makes you want to attend class. Lectures are interesting to listen to and he encourages class participation. His exams are not tricky or misleading. He gives a list of possible essays to write about and then usually chooses a few to ask.

Dr. Beech is probably the most entertaining professor I've ever had. Great sense of humor and great knowledge of the subject matter as well. Expectations are clear and he's always available for help. If you have even the slightest interest in political science, his classes should be a breeze for you.

Dr. Beech is a great guy. He will make sure you understand the material, and does not throw any tricks at you during his exams. Pay attention and participate and you will get an A or B.

He is funny..sometimes borderline ridiculous, but class was usually a good time. I also learned plenty in his class and got A's on the tests as long as I studied. You don't have to read a text which is nice. He also gave $ to the walk for cancer thing

I've taken 3 classes from Dr. Beech this year and they have been great. REALLY easy (the classes have been graded on 3 tests worth 30% each and 10% on attendance. Before you get the tests, he gives you a study guide with basic EVERYTHING you need to study. And he's funny and easy to listen to. Strongly recommend.

Beech has a comedic charisma, sometimes I think he should just be a sports anchor in Manitoba. His classes are interesting, though, he's not always prepared.

I'll put it simply. Dr Beech is one of the most easily distracted profs you will get. With that said, you will not find a kinder, more caring man working at any university in the country. His jolly personality and ability to make a boring subject fun is the sole reason I added a minor in politics at BSU.

As long as you follow the notes that he emails to all of his students: it's an easy class. But he's appreciative of students that go above and beyond. He's really a great professor.

Hilarious professor, class is extremely boring but tests are very easy. He emails out lecture notes each week (which he follows to a T) for tests he provides a study sheet, with possible test questions. If you use the study sheet and refer to lecture notes, you will get an A.

Intro Int'l Relation and Int'l Law and Org. If you have questions he answers them. Tells funny stories. If you need help with anything he will try his best.

Lots of people say his classes are easy, this is only partly accurate. He makes facts relatable by telling stories, when you think he is goofing off and telling silly stories you are learning, and learning things you will retain for years. If you don't do the work though you will not get the grade. One of the most kind and genuine professor at BSU!

His class was excellent. He was clear about the expectations- 3 tests that were essay and mandatory class attendence. We did NOT need the text book. He taught straight from his notes. Overall, the thing I enjoyed most was the fact that he teaches objectively and does not shove his veiws in your face. Great teacher!

Funny guy and will keep your attention throughout the class. He is very up front about what he expects and lets you know what he wants to see on the essays, it's up to you to do it. No attendance policy, but showing up and paying attention alone made the class easy.

He is very clear and his classes are suprisingly interesting for politics classes, I've taken multiple with him because I like his teaching style.

Absolutely loved his class. Keeps his lectures interesting and makes it worth it to show up as 5-10 times he would throw out candy. Tests are easy, however require a few hours of practice before the test but as all the notes are online it is easy to do, and since there is no homework other than studying there's no reason to complain about that.

It felt like I paid for smart stand-up comedy session instead of the typical mindless drone that is a teacher reading off a powerpoint. I'd say Dr. Beech is on par with Colin Quinn.

Dr. Beech is not a normal professor because he does not stick to the book. this isn't a ad thing but he will teach you more than just the subject of your class and will constantly give life advice.

He is great! Learned lots and had fun at the same time I was worried about the subject and was recommended to take this by a staff member. I would recommend him to anyone!

I barely used the book, but it was helpful. You're grade is 90% exams, which you have 3, and 10% attendance. Loved this class that I'm taking two more of his classes next semester.

I have taken multiple political classes of Beech's and have enjoyed them all. He is very understanding if you need to miss & tries to at least know your name- even though some classes have 100+ people registered. In his classes he grades students by three exams (+attendance), they're not hard if you pay attention- good thing he is entertaining.

Tom Beech is one of the best professors at BSU and by far the most genuine and down to earth one. His lectures are funny and informative and he is able to convey information through his interesting stories to help students learn better. His teaching style takes a little to get use to, but once you figure it out he makes lots of sense. 0

We had to write a 500-600 word essay every week. Super easy doesn't even grade or give you any feedback just gives you 10/10 points

There are 3 tests that you take and thats it, all very easy and he gives you the test a week in advanced to study. i wouldn't go to class at all but its 10% of our grade, great guy and easy class, highly recommend for a general

Dr. Beech is a very interesting lecturer, he often gets side tracked with personal stories related to the topic, but gets his point across. The class is straight forward, 3 exams worth 90% of your grade, he provides questions ahead of time, and 10% from attendance.

Great prof. Keeps class entertaining. Does get off topic easy but it keeps class light. Does count attendance but can easily pass without showing up to class. If you study for the exams you will pass with no poblem!

I had Dr. Beech for two online international courses before traveling abroad on EuroSpring. He gives great feedback on the essays required for the course and is willing to share his knowledge and experiences. He is hilarious and has a great sense of humor. He also is a generous donor to the university, as he gives an annual student scholarship.

Tom Beech really is a gem. Be prepared for off topic conversations that eventually lead to something in the material. It is off topic but that's what makes the class interesting! You get three exams which a fairly easy if you study. My only complaint is he checks attendance everyday and I pretty much sat on my phone the entire time��

Thomas Beech is an incredible man. I've taken every class he has offered. He is incredibly kind and understanding. Your grade is based on 3 tests (or in upper division classes 2 tests and a paper) all worth 30% of your grade, and 10% of your grade is on attendance. You won't need the textbook, and he gives great lectures.

I have had a plethora of his classes and he is wonderful. Always show up if you can and do not buy the book. He gives out study guides before all the tests which show you exactly what to study.

I loved his classes so much. They were the only 9 a.m.s I could go to. Hes travelled the world and has awesome stories that connect to the lessons. Make sure to go to review day! He goes over everything for the test!

Only graded by three exams. Long lectures but he makes them fun and interesting. He tends to get off track and tell stories but I liked them. He does review days that I paid attention to the most and they helped out a lot.

Thomas Beech is a very knowledgable and highly respected professor. He is slightly out of touch with the times and current humor but he does his best to keep class interesting and it is appreciated. I highly recommend taking as many classes with Beech as you can. The workload is not too bad and that definitely helps.

All my homies love Beech classes... a Professor that found a way to be everything to everyone. If you don't care, you'll miss a lot of interesting and sound information but you'll get a B or a C and pass. If you do care and listen close, you will learn a lot of stuff, no matter how much you already know. He is very wise and a great storyteller.
