Very good teacher. He knows what he's talking about and explains things Very well. He is very realistic with what he expects you to know. Only teaches you what you actually need. And Very nice and understanding.

you can really learn a lot in his class but not become bored because he explains it is a way you'll understand. also if you become lost he is so easy to talk to you really never have a problem

he is a wonderful teacher. he only wants you to learn the important stuff-know memorization. he is the best teacher i've had.

Berger is hillarious! I was so scared about taking Chemistry, but he made it a lot of fun, and it was really easy. Watch for the "Bergerisms", as we call them. He loves to name things after himself. Awesome teacher. It's worth delaying your enrollment to FSU just to get him. He rocks.

I really enjoyed his class!!! He makes science interesting! If only all the teachers were like him.

Anyone who doesn`t take this teacher is making a huge mistake. He explains things very well and is willing to help you out. He even gives you points just for showing up to class. Book Not required. Take him or you`ll be sorry!!!

He is really good. Explains everything very clear and makes it easy for you to understnad. He's tests are pretty easy, aslong as you look at your notes. He even has tests online to look at(there pretty close to the tests he gives in class). I would take him again!

He helps you understand a great deal of complexity with ease. Very accessible to students both in and out of class. Wonderfully organized and easy to follow. Very entertaining - a laugh in every class. Made the subject matter come to life for this non-science minded student. AWESOME!!!

Too cool for words. Answered any question I had. People in my lab who had Berger for the class say he's great. Wish I had taken him for the class also instead of that shiftless Jackson. Boy did I make a mistake taking Jackson.

Tom Berger is great!! He makes class interesting and fun. I had tried to take this class with another proffessor, but I had to drop it because he made it seem so complicated. Mr. Berger has made the learning experience fun. I like that!!

This is 1 of the easiest class I've had a TCC. It's impossible 4 anyone 2 fail his class. All u have 2 do is study the review sheet before u take the test and I'll but u'll pass becasue the questions on the review sheet is the exact questions that be on the test. So, if ur looking 4 another science class and don't like reading the book, take Berger

definitly trust me and take chemistry with prof. berger. he will make chm. clear and the class time will go by fast.also he will always make laugh (or at least try :)

Great professor. Took his TV class and got an A even though i suck at chm. His review sessions pay off and he is an excellent teacher, so make sure you go.

He is an amazing teacher! I had already taken chem 1 time and dropped because it was so hard & I did not understand it. He made it so much clearer! He cares about his students and he will do everything possible to help you. I am so glad I took him, i may not be the best chemist now but i sure understand it a lot better now! He helped my chem esteem

An incredible person, Dr. Berger is a truly great teacher and friend. While the material is quite difficult at times (remember it is chemistry) he will do everything in his power to help you with it. He has a great sense of humor and is one of the friendliest and nicest teachers on campus. I highly recommend him for any class that he teaches.

I adore him as a teacher. He's humorous without being vulgar or farcical, and he uses normal human activities as examples, which makes understanding the material incredibly easy. Really nice and easy-going, and his accent keeps my attention!

Very good teacher. Chem II is tough (lots of math no matter where you take it) but he teaches it very well and uses lots of real world examples so that you have an idea of what you're actually calculating. He also gives out extra credit like you wouldn't believe! Take him, you won't be disappointed.

He was so nice and sincere. If you do your work and come to class there is no reason why you should do bad. Always willing to help you.

i got the highest grade in this chem class then i have in any other class... hes a great teacher that explains the material. If you dont understand something go to his office, and when he says do the questions in the back of the book, DO THEM, it helps.

This is an EXCELLENT instructor. He has a vast knowledge of chemistry, use it to your benefit. make sure you complete all lon-capa assignments. It is more likely that you pass his class with an A verses those who don't do the loncapa assignments. Overall, an excellent instructor. =)

you get extra credit on every test for showing up to every class. he shows what he is trying to teach in real life situations, then tells you how they apply to chemistry. works great. i failed high school chem and passed his class with an A.

I cannot say enough about this professor. He is really great at teaching and that is such a rarity at the college level. He keeps you interested in the subject and genuinely seems to love what he does. He also finds very practical and fun ways to teach his subject. I highly reccomend him!

Tom Berger is awsome. Theres not another way to put it. He makes the classes fun and interesting with corny jokes you cant help but to giggle at. He offers extra credit and makes everything very clear. I hate chemistry and I actually enjoy going to his class. I would reccomend him to anyone.

I had both the lecture and the lab with Dr. Berger. He is very respectful towards his students. You'll feel you're not neglected if you say something. He listens to you and reacts.

He is the best chemistry teacher that I have ever had. He's awesome even with his quarky little comments sometimes. He explains the concepts very thoroughly and if you need help he will give it to you. His tests are easy if you study the study guides he gives you. I actually remember some of the things we talked about with is amazing. Awesome!

When I took Mr. Berger it was an honors class but he was excellent. He taught thte class so much that I a, retaking him for Chm1046. I would recommend anyone to him. He is willing to help and will go out of his way for his students.

Very helpful teacher! His office is always open to those who are in need of his help. Although his writing is difficult to understand he uses everyday examples to make the subject applicable. The most difficult part are the tests. He does not give make up tests and the questions are hard. Use LonCapa as your study guide and you will do well.

GREAT teacher. Tests are hard but fair. He gives plenty of extra credit. Only complaint is there is a little excess homework. Overall one of the best teachers at TCC.

Great professor and VERY helpful!I highly recommend him! He doesnt lecture really, assigns groups and you do wrkshts and he helps if you need it but its a gr8 learning strategy. His tests arent really that hard, but can be a little tricky. Gives short quizzes everyday. He's also entertaining with his analogies when he's explaining something.

Very easy lab! Take him for lab if you can and i recommend having him for the class too.

Very easy class. If you are not going for science major and still have to take 2 science classes, take his class. He put all the notes in black-board so you really don't have to show up in class.

He's a great teacher, but he really seems to get annoyed with you if you are repeating his class over again. DO NOT take his combined class with A&P. IT IS HARD! I had to drop it. Nice guy though. I wish I could have passed his class.

Took him for Televised class. only had to show up for tests in the testing center, but he had reviews the week before for an hour only. Answers ANY question and explains everything in easily understandable terms so anyone can understand it. WILL TAKE HIM AGAIN IN CHM!

you buy a worksheet packet in the beginning and he assigns you a group. this is the group you work with all semster and your grade depends on how the group does. if your someone that needs to be taught by an instructor dont take this. Its pretty much teach yourself. he is helpful if you have a question and he is always in his office to help.

He's a great professor, I just screwed up with some exams. I have to retake this class because of my grade and am definetly taking him again.

GREAT TEACHER! He explains things so that they are easy to understand and will answer any questions you have along the way. He's also really funny and made chemistry interesting. He will always be available in his office for help and truly wants you to do well in his class. GO to class, TRY your best, and ask him for help. You'll do great! :)

He was the best science teacher I have ever had. He is very reasonable with his work and helps as much as he can. He puts notes on blackboard if you are absent so its like you never missed. He is very kind and just a great tCLEARLY and there is plenty teacher. His jokes are cute and he leaves plenty amount of time for questions! GREAT TEACHER!

He's a really great teacher! You can tell he loves what he does. . . if you attend class and just listen you will get an A on tests and in the class. The HW is busy work and an easy 10 pts each. Great Teacher

ALSO, HE GIVES HW & WHEN U RECORD YOUR HW GRADES ON YOUR SYLLABUS, U GET 3PTS TOWARDS YOUR FINAL

AMAZING! I loved going to his class. He talks about interesting things. Study the study guides he gives you and you will get a high B or A for sure! Class isnt mandatory but if you go you get 3 extra points on your tests and the final isnt even over the whole year. TAKE HIS CLASS. Hes a great teacher and always willing to help you!

Great teacher, very very helpful best teacher you could ever wish for to teach chemistry, i got a F on the 1st test but i now am close to having a A in the class. he knows his stuff and makes it interesting!! I HIGHLY recommend taking him!!!

amazing teacher and really tries to help you understand chemistry by giving real life examples and does in class experiments. he is sssoooo helpful if you have a question. i got a C which sucks but im horrible at chem so im happy with that. DO THE HOMEWORK!! attendance is e.c. on the tests. all around amazing guy. cares about students passing.

I don't like science but he made the class somewhat easy. If you do the study guide for the test then they're pretty easy. Make sure you come to class though, so you don't miss homework assignments. He posts all notes online

Dr. Berger is an incredible teacher. His teaching style really makes the lesson clear and memorable, he provides the formulas on the test, and he grades fairly without handing you the grade. The class is definitely tough, but he will go far out of his way to help you if you need it. I highly recommend it.

Mr. Berger is one of my favorite teachers at TCC. He is a great teacher, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his students. You must do the work, but he will reward you. I highly recommend him and would take him for another class.

The BEST teacher at TCC!! He is very helpful and willing to go over anything that troubles you. His classes are always fun and entertaining. Attendance is reqiured as is in all classes, but its worth it.

Took him for the lab, explained the concept really thoroughly, comes around each table and ensure safety plus help students if needed... wish my major requires more of chem because i would take him without hesitation!! Also grades lab reports fairly, if you need help then come to his office hours. He is always there as promised and willing to help!

He is really a sweet guy. All of my classmates were impressed with him. He gives ton of extra credit, and some of its hidden in the syllabus!

One of my favorite teachers ever. If it wasn't for him, I doubt I would have passed as Chem is difficult for me. Incredibly gifted in teaching, helpful, funny, and cares about his students in away that makes you want to do well. Helpful during office hours. Took him for Honors and also had for Honors Lab and you get to do a really awesome proj!

He is very clear in his lectures and very approachable, which makes it easier for me to ask questions! His grading policy is very forgiving. He tries to make class interesting by relating concepts to everyday life, which is refreshing. Basically, he is awesome and I loved him as a professor. PS: Don't buy the book. Not needed.

I used to hate chemistry before taking this class with him. He is fun, knowledgeable and good at teaching. I loved going to his class. His study guides are very helpful. He holds review sessions on Saturdays just to help students get a better grade. He is simply the best Chem teacher ever. I adore him.

Dr. Berger is a great professor! His lectures are great and he really wants his students to succeed. There are four exams and a cumulative final and quizzes every week in recitation. Don't worry, his point system is very far and you'll easily pass with an A or B as long as you study. I struggled in 1045 but his class has made me enjoy chemistry!

Dr. Berger is by far the best chemistry teacher I have ever had. I was having financial struggles outside the class and he was understanding. He is the best presenter as far as his ability to relay information and make it easy to understand to students. Prep. ahead of time for Thermodynamics though because the average on the test was 62.

Professor Berger is such a great teacher and I would recommend him to anyone! He is very helpful and he is always trying to help you out. He truly wants you to succeed and to reach your full potential. It is impossible to get a 0 on anything unless you just don't even try.I think I may have learned more in his lab than my actual chemistry lecture.

This was one of the best professors that I have ever had. The textbook that was rented was very helpful to me. The textbook required was very good, because it was easy to understand the lessons, without all the extra unnecessary info. It was rented so the cost was reasonable. The professor's study guides were awesome helpful for the exams taken! :)

The ChemLabs are the worst part of this class if you have poor time management. However, they are easy and help your grade if you read the textbook. Mr Berger is always willing to help you. Extra credit is big in his class.

He's a great teacher I would definitely take any class he taught. Very clear about what is expected, gives great feedback, as long as you participate you will get a good grade.

If you attend class and pay attention you should be just fine. He is a really cool guy who throws around good jokes here and there. I did not use my textbook a single time the whole semester because his lectures cover everything you need to know and his weekly quizzes keep you on track. Highly recommended.

Chemistry is a very hard subject but berger gives you MANY resources. He uploads past quizzes and exams and uses the same format again but with different numbers and is a big reason why I have done well in this class. If you go to his office hours he is extremely helpful. As long as you put in the effort and study you will pass.

The toughest quizzes that you have ever taken so I highly recommend going to his office hours once a week. If you fail most of them do not worry. This professor really prepares you well for the tests going above and beyond to help you out in and out of class. He makes his lectures funny while being very informative. Overall he is a good teacher.

I took him for lab and it was so easy. He does not mind explaining things you don't understand. He prepares you with the labs with pre-labs and he explains what he expects from the lab reports so there is not way you can screw that up. Also, the final practical was very easy. Just pay attention to all the labs you go through in the semester

Professor Berger was by far the best chemistry professor I've had. He is caring, thoroughly explains the material, and is always available and willing to help if you have any questions. If you participate, turn in assignments, and communicate with Mr. Berger you'll do great!

Best Chemistry Professor by far. I've always hated Chemistry, but he makes it enjoyable and understandable. He genuinely cares about you, and is always happy to answer questions no matter how "stupid." Do all the homework, watch all his videos, ask questions and you will pass. Wish he could teach all my classes.

His first announcement on canvas was a list of resources that students might need(i.e. local food bank). It was thoughtful of him, and I was impressed. Quizzes and test were not terrible, if you study you can pass. The online course has straight forward assignments & extra credits you can take if needed.
