TOM FRAZIER IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER!! HILARIOUS, UNDERSTANDING, AND PRECISE.
He was the best teacher i have ever had! He was soooo funny too!
great teacher, fun class, hilarious!
Really nice guy, easy class!Go to class every day because the notes are important, or be sure to get them off of someone!tests are open book open notes, and Q's r in the order of the notes.2 map assignments which u color,ONE 2 page paper, and 2 tests!EASY A!
He is an easy teacher if you go to class and take note. If you do this you won't have to read. He is really funny and his lectures were not boring. He also gives out some easy assignments for easy free points.
awesome awesome awesome professor. makes the class interesting. you gotta love the guy
Reminds you of conan o' brian...funny guy! easy...Do the map assignments, and youll be fine!
easy..only 2 tests, 1 map assignment, and one easy research paper..you sit in class and take notes the whole time which is nice because you can miss a lot of classes as long as you get the notes from someone.no need to buy the book!!!!

This class is so easy if you go to class and take notes. Only 2 midterms and a final. No need to buy the textbook. Just do the 2 map assignments and you'll do good.
great teacher! he is always helpful and very entertaing with his sarcastic humor. just study the notes and you will be fine.
This is one of the best teachers out there. He explains the material in a very interesting way. He is an easy grader too, don't have to buy the book. Great teacher, very nice and knowledgable. funny too.
This guy is really laid back and makes the lectures interesting. You don't have to buy the book, but if you don't take very good notes, I'd buy it. His exams aren't hard, but they aren't very easy either.Study your notes and you should do fine.
Frazier is one of the most down to Earth Prof. at CSULB. The class is pretty easy and the lectures are good because he is a funny guy. Everyone should experience at least one class from this guy, it will change your thoughts about what a Geog. class is.
Frazier rules! He is the best! :) well organized, clear, funny, and friendly! He is super smart too! I love him! :)

very fair, helpful, funny, and interesting. i enjoyed coming to class. he would never test on material the class didn't fully cover. take him and you'll learn soooo much about geography.
Tom is awesome. That's all I have to say. Well, I'll say a bit more. His tests are fair and he only tests you on what he covers in class. His lectures are VERY informative and he has so much knowledge regarding Europe!! Heck, he lives there. The only bad thing is you'll want to go to Europe afterwards and that is expensive.
Frazier is awesome! I learned so much about geography and after taking the class, I actually care. Make sure you read the text book and come to class. Overall great class. Frazier is def. eye candy! FRAZIER ROCKS!!
This is seriously the easiest class ever. He is super nice and wanting to help you learn about geography; a little boring with the power points but easy to copy down and take good notes. Attendance is NOT a must, except the day before a test he basically give you the answers. Great teacher!!!
Excellent instructor! He is passionate about his subject, has very reasonable goals and expectations, and makes class very interesting.
Class consist of 2 maps worth 25points and 2 midterms and 1 final worth 100 points each. Maps are an easy 100% and test are fairly easy. His lectures are extremely boring. When i actually did go to class i just slept. I got an 89% in his class and emailed him to see if he would give me an A but he never responded to my email and gave me a B.
I love Dr. Frazier!!! He is an excellent professor, you can tell he enjoys what he's talking about and does as much as he can to make life easier for his students! I hope I get the oportunity to take another class with him!
Great professor! Interesting lectures, very easy going, and helpful. Grading is on one paper, and three tests.
I'm in love with this man to say the least. He's a great teacher, and this class is an easy A. It's a big class so everything is online, and that means open book.. like I said, really easy A. Take this class, you won't regret it.
This Guy is great!! love him! test are exactly like the study guide i slacked till the final so i got a B but if i would have studied for the 2 midterms i would have easily got an A. Take this class youll want to go to Europe! he doesnt answer emails though so its hard to contact him outside of class
Very big lecture class. Easy A. Online open book tests. Class is big so if you sit far you cannot hear clearly. It is recommended to buy a book. Nice and funny teacher. Nice guy!
Fun Teacher...Does not want to much pressure on his students.
EASIEST CLASS EVER! You don't need to show up for class. Lectures are powerpoints directly from the book. Tests are online and open book anyway. The notes I took in class weren't even that helpful on the test. Share a book with others! It's not worth buying a book for yourself only
He's a great teacher..and funny.
He is a great teacher...and fun!
How can you not love this professor? He's very easy going and rather hilarious. I would say the class is very fair and feel that his exams are easy. However, if you don't study for them they would probably be more of a challenge. One of my favorites. Highly recommended.
One of my favorite professors. He's a riot. Exams are easy, but you need to study for them. Take him!
this class was harder than it was supposed to be. the reading seemed difficult and it was quite lengthy. he verbally covers the material, and he RARELY uses powerpoints.. so have your ears wide open. there are 2 exercises, a 7-10 page research paper, 2 midterms & a final. some of the things he says will be on the test aren't even on there either..
It's suppposed to be an easy class, but it was so boring I couldn't pay any attention. I really didn't like the subject that I couldn't even study. If you like the subject then, it will be an easy A.
Great, enthusiastic, passionate teacher. Made my 8am M/W class bearable.tries his best to keep you awake.one major paper, 2 minor hw assignments, 3 tests. pretty easy class to take, i'm sure glad i took it! fairly interesting about different ethnic groups and kind of their American experience. Helpful in class, doesn't answer emails well tho.
Most boring class ever! Seriously its easy but I would've rather taken something that challenged me and was more interesting. Also, his exam questions are just all wrong. I saw various questions were you could have chosen 2 answers (MC choice). Additionally, there's words he uses on the exam he never used and expects you to know even.
Cool, humurous and very helpful. Class was lively and interactive. Encouraged students to travel, explore and think critically. Highly recommended!
great professor! he's so amusing and entertaining! really friendly! class isn't mandatory, but it's helpful because he gives you test answers.
Tom is a very entertaining person. He goes off into tangents, but its interesting. He is very passionate. You dont need to go to class, he posts everything online and the book did me no good.
This teacher was tolerable. I lost interest in almost every class, and didn't find him funny as most people say on here. Yes, he was passionate, but I found myself quite bored and coming to class less frequently. Plus, the wording on his tests were hard to understand. Wouldn't recommend this class unless you really love geography.
Very funny professor, tends to go on tangents but they are actually interesting and relevant to the class. I'm not even an I/ST major but I learned some pretty interesting stuff from this class and actually enjoyed it. 3 quizzes that if you read notes/attend class you'll be fine.
-Really funny, generous and entertaining guy. Definitely passionate about Geography. Lectures were clear and the power points were all posted online. (Very helpful to print them and bring them to class!)
I never went to class. I only showed up on test dates and got a B. He posts everything online but you should study for the tests. For the map assignments use the same format you used from your 1st one and just change the obvious throught your paper. Easiest class ever.
Professor Frazier is probably one of my favorite professors I have had at CSULB. He has a genuine interest in the success of his students and really cares to teach everyone something. His class is not hard, it is actually very easy to get an A in. Just read and study a bit and you will be fine. I highly recommend him!
And the ultimate blow off class goes to...*drum rolls* this class. Easy A. Just read the book and go over the ppt slides he posts on beachboard.Even though attendance isnt mandatory, it doesn't hurt going. A lot of the time we get to watch satire (Chapelle Show, Simpsons etc). Knows his stuff, chill, doesnt bombard students with heavy workload
To understand the wording of the tests you're going to have to read the book, if you don't then I'd expect about a C. He clearly states what will be on the tests & goes over how to do your small papers. Class was actually enjoyable since his teaching assistant would bring videos (usually funny) for us to watch that related to what we were learning.
Class attendance is not mandatory unless it's for review and test days and tells you exactly what is on the test. 4 "reaction papers", 4 quizzes (including final). Just read the material given.
EXCELLENT PROFESSOR! Information was always relevant to the topic. Funny side-bar comments and cultural facts kept the class interesting. If you need to know your way around the world…take this class! You won’t regret it!
3 exams and 4 short papers. attend class and jot down whatever he says is important and you'll do just fine. he is very helpful, just ask.
Pretty good class, not hard. Frazier explains everything out of the book. 4 500 word papers, and 3 25 MC tests. Just make sure to know everything covered in class because the tests are tricky. Frazier is also very understanding and approachable. Gives EC if needed.
Frazier's an awesome professor! 3 midterms are given throughout the semester and 4 short papers are assigned. I was really close to the A and he bumped me up. Great professor; take him for Geog 100 if you can!!
SUPER EASY CLASS. Memorize slideshows posted on beach board for the tests and your golden. Four easy reaction one page papers.
super EASY
This guy's really dorky, in a funny, adorable way. Powerpoints are online, so attendance isnt necessary, but go to review sessions for the tests (he tells you what will be on them). 3 easy city map papers, 2 exams, 1 final. Fairly easy class overall. Take him!
Wonderful professor. Very understanding if person problems are affecting your grades in the class. Lectures can be fairly interesting, some a little boring. Good professor and good class, so I definitely recommend him!
He was a chill professor who enjoys teaching.
Very fair teacher
Professor Frazier is one of my favorites! He has the best personality with a lot of knowledge that makes his lectures always so interesting. The tests are not challenging as long as you take good notes and study! Definitely recommend!
Professor Frazier is easily one of the best professors you can take. His 100 & 120 classes has the least amount of work you will ever do in college. He makes you do a couple of essays that are basically high school stuff. His classes are so fun, I might take him for a 3rd and 4th class coming soon. TAKE HIM. He cancels class on rainy days! haha
Highly recommended class!!! He understands that you have more important things going on in life and just wants to teach you a couple things. Tests are pretty easy. 50 questions. STRAIGHT from his power points. Dont really need to go to class. Just study the power points but show face in class. He will remember you
I recommend any student to take this class. If you study super hard it is an easy A+. I passed with a B and I didn't really study much. You do have to write papers for his class but it is an easy A. His notes in class sometimes are helpful but sometimes he just talks and talks and you can easily get bored or distracted. But I really loved his class
He is very nice and like to give extra credits. I recommended this class if you need a break, it is a good choice.
Easiest G.E. class i will ever take. Prof Frazier is funny and laid back, he has 3 midterms that are made up of 50 multiple choice question and is pretty straight forward and four 2 page papers. Easiest A i will ever recieve! Must take him asap
Really awesome dude. Easy class, can get a bit boring, but it depends on the lectures and lets you out early most classes.
Overall a fantastic professor. He has a great attitude, makes the class fun and interesting. His class is very easy if you pay attention to his lectures. Tests are multiple choice and there are a few one-page assignments throughout the semester. I recommend taking any of his classes.
Professor Frazier is a wonderful professor who wants to make sure you do well and appreciate Geography. Also, a professor that I will definitely remember after graduating. Very respectful, approachable, and knowledgeable with his content. Exams are MC and there are essays. Would DEFINITELY take him again if I have the opportunity. :)
One of the best and memorable CSULB professors I ever had. Wants students to do well. Hilarious and respectable. Take ANY of his classes that he teaches! I will guarantee you will learn something about Geography. I know I did. :)
Very Easy and Interesting class tests are pretty easy the lectures are clear everything is well explained easy to pass
Professor Frazier is the absolute best. 3 tests and papers on European cities to go with each test. Essays are a piece of cake. Two pages and a map of the city you chose. Really passionate about the subject material he presents, for any of his classes. I wish Frazier taught every geography course at CSULB.
Four multiple choice exams and noncumulative final. Easy, ten point response papers for every exam and had clear grading criteria. Lectures posted online. Textbook guides you on lectures but if you just show up and pay attention, you will be fine. Subject was boring but professor was funny and clearly loved the subject. Fun class!
Best professor at CSULB. Literally did not go to class or read, just studied his powerpoints and would ace his tests. His essays are so easy just write exactly what he tells you to write. He's so nice and really cares about his students. He's a hidden gem on campus. If you're looking for an easy A, this is the class.
I would highly recommend his class.
Great guy. Very relaxed, but also organized and efficient. Very clear assignments/exams. I felt comfortable taking time on the assignments and relaxed enough during lecture to not stress about remembering everything. I enjoyed being able to just participate, learn, and engage. Easy A, but his class isn't a joke. Show up and learn. :)
Dr. Frazier is one of the professors who is easy to approach. He will definitely help you pass.
I took this class for GE. This professor is pretty cool.
One of the easiest classes I have taken. 3 tests, 4 papers but we didn't have to do one. Class not mandatory but if you want an A, you will need to study the PowerPoints he posts online. All questions are from PowerPoints, not lectures so I only went to class when there were tests. 2 field trips. Great personality and fun guy, when you go to class!
This professor is great! He is really nice but to get a good grade in this class you basically have to teach yourelf. A lot of people say you just study the powerpoint but the test goes more in depth. There was more you needed to know in the test than just studying the powerpoints. I'm probably the type of person that needs to be taught.
One of the easiest professor around. This doesn't mean you don't have to study though. Study his power points thoroughly and you'll get an A or a B. Also there is four 500 word papers that has very clear directions.
This class is pretty easy. Study your notes for a period of time daily, follow requirements in 4 papers, and you'll get an A. There are 2 midterms and 1 non-cumulative final.
There's never a dull moment in his class. He goes off in tangent a lot. There are three exams and three two-page essays. Make sure you study map locations for the exams because a good majority of the exams are map questions. He posts lectures online, but come to the class meeting before the day of the exam because he gives a exam review.
Frazier is hilarious and brings life to the class material. 3 exams and 4 short papers. The exams are based on his lecture outlines. Very kind professor and easy class.
This is the 2nd class I've taken with Frazier, and I'm not even a geography major. I highly recommend him as a professor. His class is super easy and actually very interesting. Exams are multiple choice and straight out of the powerpoints he posts online. Make sure to be there the class before each exam because he gives hints.
Really cool guy but the lectures are beyond boring. All his lectures slides are online so if you do miss you didn't miss out on any info. Bring other stuff to work on because he has a boring voice so you can only listen for so long. The tests are hard so study.
study his powerpoints and you will do well on exams. Easy A. Plus two on campus fieldtrips that are extra credit points.
His lectures are boring, but he's hilarious when he goes off tangent. There are 3 exams and 3 short essays. Show up to class the day before the exam because he tells you the map locations and terms that's going to be on the test. Tests are MC. He doesn't curve, but he gives you answers to the questions he didn't go over in lecture during the exams.
I love this guy. He is hilarious. Lectures were relevant, funny, current, and knowledgeable. Very passionate about teaching and learning. Accessible outside of class and understands if you have any struggles. Doesn't take attendance but class was interesting enough to make me want to attend. Plus gives a lot of freebies before exams. Take him.
The definition of a PowerPoint class. All lectures are uploaded online and that's all you need to pass the exams. I stopped showing up after the 2nd Exam and did fine on the final.
Attended his class less than 7 times (3 times for his 3 exams) because exam content is literally word-for-word what is on his powerpoints that he posts online. There are also a couple of papers, which I got 100% on all of them. Went on one of his field trips, and he's a really cool guy. Super easy class! Took as a GE.
Awesome&Funny. Enjoyed, except the grading criteria. 4 written papers that are the easy part are only 10pts each. The 2 midterms & final are 100pts each. The questions are exactly from the power point, but its a lot of info. If you have the time, excess mental capacity and hours with flash cards for mindless memorization will u get an A, else C orB
Tom Frazier is such a concise professor by what he expects from his students it makes you wonder how not all professors can be like him. He takes the class to the Puvungna Native American site on campus, which is a chill break from lectures. The powerpoints are your key to success, all the information on the powerpoints make it onto the tests.
I lived in Europe for a few years before taking this class, however this class is straightforward enough for anyone who is interested in the continent. The class is split into three sections: the physical geography of Europe, the history of urban design and planning throughout the centuries, and the regional focus of several countries. Great class
Tom Frazier was an extremely passionate professor and loved to teach. He was probably the best professor I had this semester. In this middle of the semester however, he passed away. Im deeply troubled and do not know what to do now.
I loved Tom's class and his personality! He was always generous, nice, and gets how student feels. So I am beyond sad that he passed away.... Hope he is resting in peace
I added this class last minute as a GE but really loved it. Geography used to be my favorite subject before I started doing computer science and Tom's class reminded me why I loved it so much. It was really hard to hear the news of his passing today. He was a great teacher, showed interest and care to his students, and was a great guy overall.
Thank you very much Professor Frazier for being one of the most memorable professors I ever had after graduating from CSULB. Your care, generosity, humor, and passion of teaching Geography continues to live on and remain unforgotten. We will miss you dearly. Rest in peace.
One of the kindest professors I have had the pleasure of having during my college career. Was inspired by his passion for the subject through his field trip to the Native American reservation area by campus and his self-led study abroad trips during the summer. Was heartbroken by his passing. Rest in peace, Prof. Frazier.
